Coming from broken homes, we both understand that love and marriage never work out in the end.

As teenagers we made a vow to always stay best friends and to never ruin it by falling in love. A promise that kept us together through thick and thin over the years.

But now she’s found Mr. frigging Perfect, and for the first time in my life, I fear losing her for good.

Bryant Mason. Professional quarterback. My gorgeous, misunderstood bad boy. My protector and Perfect Enemy.

Since the sixth grade, Bryant has been my partner in crime—the Joker to my Riddler.

Better than best friends. Better than boyfriend and girlfriend.

But our vow to never fall in love falls apart the night Bryant’s temper gets the best of him when he catches my seemingly perfect boyfriend with another woman and makes a scene at a five-star luxury hotel.

Now I’m Bryant’s temporary roommate and PR manager, helping to fix his image in this brutal, sports media town.

All those pent-up years of denying our attraction ends with one passionate kiss.

If we don’t make it, my heart could never survive losing the one person who has been by my side all these years.

A love story spanning fourteen years, PERFECT ENEMY is an unputdownable romance with LOL moments, passion and angst, and all the feels.

I loved Vi and Bryant’s story. Sweet and beautiful. I’m so glad they got their happy ending. They are perfect for each other, and so many times I just wanted to shout at them to realize it and make out already lol! But this made their journey so much more emotional. It’s heartbreaking that Bryant doesn’t think he deserves Vi or love, when he’s so much better than his parents and can do better. And Vi is so supportive and full of understanding. I loved her character.

I’m also glad to see how Bryant and Luke’s relationship improved. I was happy each time Luke showed up because he’s my favorite. That scene at the rooftop is very special <3

All in all, this series is amazing, and I highly recommend it!

Vi and Bryant have been best "friends" since 6th grade when she sat at his table of silence. They made a pact they'd never mess up their perfect enemies relationship, so that meant no falling in love with each other, no dating each other's friends, always be honest with each other. Though each of them never knew it, they were both in love with each other and everyone else around them could see it but themselves. Thus began their long, sometimes angsty, always entertaining, perfect enemies (best friends) story.

Though they took a LONG time to get on the same page, went through countless games of truth, games of silence and cold shoulder, they never stopped loving each other, and I found myself falling for both of them with each page that passed. I haven't read any of the other stories in this series, but you can bet that I will after this one!

Brief Synopsis:
Bryant and Vi have been best friends since the 6th grade. They decided that they did not want to ruin their friendship so they vowed to never date/fall in love with each other. Bryant is a professional quarterback and one night catches Vi's boyfriend cheating on her. Vi goes and stays with Bryant and they decide to finally listen to their hearts and start something.

Overall, this book was really cute. It immediately sucked me in and I could not put it down. I found myself reading it whenever I had a free minute. I usually do not like these types of stories where the characters have been in love for so long, I am usually screaming at the book to just tell them you love them already! Y'all are perfect for each other!! BUT, I enjoyed reading this story.
Both Vi and Bryant had their issues and they were both really there for each other. This was not a one-sided relationship. They both saw each other's ugly sides and still loved each other. I enjoyed reading about their pasts and everything they went through in their friendship. It was nice that their were actual chapters and not flashbacks. It really helped you understand how close their friendship was and everything they went through. It made sense why they finally got together when they did because their was no more hiding from each other. I do feel like the ending was pretty rushed and she forgave him way to quickly, but I she understood why he did what he did. It would have been nice to have another chapter of them finally together, or an epilogue 5 years into the future...I am a sucker for epilogues!

HEA: Yes
Cheating: Kinda...he kisses someone else, but they are broken up
Couple Separation: Yes
OW/OM Drama: Not really...

i was given an arc copy of this book for a review

wow what a book, what a guy, what a story it was
this story is based on bryant and violette who become in their own words ‘perfect enemy’s’
now initially i thought this was gonna be about 2 enemies who fall in love etc etc but it wasn’t. These 2 form an unlikely friendship bond that spans over time but what neither wants to admit is their true feelings for each other due to the amazing friendship they share
we read from the beginning to the end and all the in between of all their friendships their relationships that they have and all the while we are waiting and wondering if and when it will happen if they see what we can see on this book that they are more than perfect enemies

i absolutely loved this book and eagerly await more by the author based on the other characters mentioned

Bryant's story was everything and more! I was excited to read his story after reading about him in his brother's Luke story Twisted Fate. This can be read as a standalone, but these books are too good to miss.
Bryant and Vi made a connection in the sixth grade. Their friendship is everything to them. They always made rules to follow to keep them strong and had their cold shoulders when they were mad, but through the years they always had each other and found they friendship out stood everything and body. They crossed a line once and were fine, but can they cross it again and survive? Their story is a must read. It's beautiful, sweet and sexy! Perfect Enemy will have your heart on a roller coaster screaming, cheering and swooning all over the place.

Bryant and Violette (Vi) become best friends in 6th grade. They wanted their relationship to be better than best friends and better than boyfriend and girlfriend. They even made rules for their relationship, kept each others secrets, and always looked out for each other. They knew and understood each other better than anyone else did but, never told each other how the other really felt afraid they would ruin their relationship. Years later they cannot fight their chemistry anymore and they finally give in to their love. Life throws a curveball and Bryant needs time to process his feelings and they may loose everything they have and mean to each other. This was such an emotional and amazing read I could not put this book down! I received an ARC for this book and this is my review.

Question: can a man and a woman be best friends, truly, honestly, completely, without falling in love? Maybe, or maybe not, or maybe just one of them falls.

... I don't think so. It's why I guess you don't meet such cases often. And when it happens, I can't help but feel there's a dose of unrequited love and resignation somewhere deep inside.

I really liked this book. Not just for the story, but also for the very life it breaths. Beautiful words, ugly pain, beautiful people, ugly people, beautiful hope, ugly circumstances. .. All of the best and the worst life has to offer.

Can't say there weren't times I wanted to have the power to stop some of the characters, but the romantic gestures, the connection they had, the deep understanding of each other... fhyu! Bingeworthy!

Bryant and Vi became perfect enemies in the sixth grade. Theirs was a unique friendship built on total trust, honesty, and yes, love. Their fear is that their friendship could not stand the test of time if they let love get too deep of a hold. It's a good thing that in the end, true love always wins.

I truly loved this book. It was the perfect ending to the series. Although not necessary, I would recommend reading Mean Crush and especially Twisted Fate before reading Perfect Enemy because you will better understand what makes Bryant tick.

My thanks to K L Bryce for allowing me to read Perfect Enemy and give my unbiased opinion of the book. I look forward to more of her books in the future.

An unusual friends to lovers romance with an against-the-odds HEA, a misunderstood hero with a heart of gold and a heroine you want as a best friend, Perfect Enemies has everything that makes a great story.

KL Bryce has a talent which seamlessly weaves the threads of a complex storyline spanning years to keep you reading well into the night. Add to this some laugh out loud moments sprinkled throughout which act as counterpoint for the more real, angsty drama.

Book 3 in the series, Perfect Enemies can be read as a stand-alone, but having read and loved the first two books, I suggest reading them in order to get deeper into the story.

This novel contains some descriptive love scenes.

I received an ARC of this book in return for an honest review.

You know those books that within the first couple of pages you just know you will fall in love with this book and never want to put it down? This is one of those books. I loved Cruel Intent, but it made me hate Bryant. Perfect Enemy made me fall in love with his character and understand his true personality, not the one that showed itself with Paige. Vi and Bryant were meant for each other from the beginning. Worrying about losing their special friendship and not expressing their true feelings made them sacrifice their happiness for each other. When they finally got out of their own way, then they were able to discover how perfect they are for each other in more ways than best friends or each other's perfect enemy. I was hooked from the beginning and could not put this book down. I loved that Bryant could redeem himself and Vi is feisty, never hold back your thoughts, and put Bryant in his place, girl. His girl. Another five-star read by K.L. Bryce!

I'm sorry this is the last book in this series, but this one certainly hit all the right notes for me. There were complicated family dynamics. The story begins in sixth grade and was slowly revealed as the characters grew up. There were identical twins. There was a cast of really good friends of both the main characters. I really liked how the story developed slowly and realistically. Great job, Kayley; congratulations on a great release!

This book was excellent. I have been an arc reader for all three books in this series. The author did not disappoint. This book was so full of emotion, angst, happiness, and twists, I could not put it down. The character development was intense for both the hero and heroine. I felt the author had a fresh twist on the friends to lovers trope. I loved the protectiveness of both characters and the connection they had with each other. I also adored meeting the characters from the previous book and seeing the continuation of their story and relationship. I look forward to the next books by this author.

So sad that this is the end of the series. I loved every book but I think this one was definitely saved best till last. The partnership between Bryant and Vi was so special, they saw the best in each other but also brought out the best of each other. I loved the way their friendship was and the games they played. They were described as the joker and riddler and thought this was perfect description of the pair. I was gripped from start to end.

Another winner in my book from KL Bryce! This was such a different take on a classic trope of "enemies to lovers." Much like the other books in this series, this was written beautifully and had enough details from the other books to weave in perfectly with those couples' stories/timelines. I loved Vi and Bryant individually and as a sometimes, kinda sorta couple. Great story!!

This is the first book I’ve read by this author, and I’m so very glad I did. Vi and Bryant had been besties since the sixth grade, and their friendship has meant everything to them. They have helped each other through the worst of times and celebrated together in the best. Even after separating for a while they reunited. This story had me completely enthralled, and I must admit I was sorry when it was over.
I’ll certainly be reading more by this talented author.

I devoured this book! I absolutely loved Bryant and Vi's relationship and the slow burn "will they won't they" had me hooked from the beginning. The story was fast paced and filled with interesting plot points and lovable characters. I got angry, I laughed, cried and just all around really enjoyed myself while reading it.

I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Easy reading.

Finally we get to the bottom of the insecurities that drive Bryant. As a character he takes a lot of warming up to. I like Vi from the start.

Best friends/ frenemies story about Bryant and Vi. They have been through the good and bad in their lives since the sixth grade, always keeping in mind that they don't want to risk losing the other.
It was well-written, had a good flow, was entertaining, the characters were catching, and I couldn't stop reading.

Full of angst!
This book sucks you right in from the beginning. Wow, what these two characters had to go through to finally find their HEA was intense. They were sadly shaped by their experiences from their dysfunctional families. Lots of issues of betrayal, abandonment and more from the people that should love you most in the world, their parents. Talk about messing up with kids minds. I will admit I'm still weirded out about the twin brothers having dated the same girl. It's uncomfortable, like "hey, yeah how was sex with my brother all those years you dated him?" Truly uncomfortable for me. I received a free copy of this book and I voluntarily reviewed it.

Loved it

A good read loved it from the start. I love how their story was told. The two met when they were twelve years old and the connection was instant. You get to live their lives alongside them and it was exciting to read. A book I would not only recommend but could read over again.

Some dialogue was corny but overall found their dynamic very cute. Would have been 4 stars but the fact that he dated Paige and then kissed someone else right when they broke up ruined it for me.

Perfect Enemy by K.L. Bryce is a well written, friends to lovers, emotional tale

If you’re looking for a well written book, download PE now. It is the last book in the series, but as a testament to Ms. Bryce, it is a standalone. I didn’t know it was part of a series until I started reading synopsis of the book ... but now that I know I’m downloading right away.

The dialogue is well done and the storyline evolves at just the right pace. This is an angsty, emotional, story with complicated family dynamics that will have you simultaneously shouting at the characters to get together while you try to figure out the next move!

I received an ARC. This is my honest review.
