‘Love is imagery; it is provoked in one heart and evoked in another.’
Two years ago, Kalindi's trust was wounded, and her heart broke into so many pieces. And it looked like she might never recover from it. Yet time has brought her healing, made her realise her true calling, and even inked her a verse of romance. But when the past comes peeping through her door, threatening to crumple a life she has carefully re-written, she finds her world upturned.
First love, this is the most beautiful moment of everyone's life, it's also most confusing. We feel new emotions and desires which are intriguing and fearful yet very charming. In this book the author narrates the joinery of Kalindi Bajaj from the first love to love. Kalindi is a beautiful and innocent youngster who begins her collage life with many desires, expectations, and trepidations. She moves from Delhi to Nagpur for bachelor degree.
After first two or three chapters I was about to stop and leave this story because I didn't like the character of Kalindi. Her life is overprotected which made her super-delicate thus depended in life, I could not enjoy it. I don't like leaving the story incomplete it makes me uncomfortable, so I continued with the story; this was my best decision. With story she grows, love and friendship teach her the meaning of the journey called life. The author charmingly narrates the beauty of love, strength of friendship, lessons of our mistakes and meaning of love. At the end Kalindi is still innocent and lovingly beautiful but now matured and strong, she is someone who can understand and control emotions thus life. Sameer is impressive but as a character I love Nia.
PS : I haven't read any works of John Keats but all thanks to the author I'm now his fan.
Kalindi believes that her boyfriend and best friend betrayed her. She lost her trust in everyone around her. She moves to Nagpur to study. Even after that, she finds herself unable to trust others. She cannot concentrate on her studies. She finds herself being left alone.
Definitely a 5 ⭐ read!
I loved this book! I was stressed with a few things and wanted to read a book. Guess what! This book broke me. This book reminded me of a lot of things. I find it hard to trust others. To be frank, I don't trust others easily. So, I was able to understand why Kalindi was acting like that.
Kalindi was very insecure about everything, and most of the time she was driven by her anger. I can't defend her for some things she did. But I can understand the emotional state she was in. It wouldn't have ended up that way if she had someone to rely on. A person betrayed by someone, especially a close friend would not be able to trust others. They get suspicious of everything.
I know that having food alone in a place where others are with their friends can be heartbreaking. In my life, I was okay with having food alone if I have a book with me. But if that's not the case, a lot of memories will keep rushing in thus killing me inside. I felt so bad for Kalindi when she had to go alone to the canteen. That reminded me of my days in the hostel. Like Kalindi, I didn't want to just go and sit with others because being with people who do not want me there would make me more uncomfortable. I didn't want to break into someone's friend circle.
I was happy when she found someone she can rely on, who shared the same interests, but I saw myself in her when she found it hard to trust him.
When i start reading a romance, i always know what comes next. I was expecting it to be some cheesy and normal love story but there is soo much more than that. I loved this one, absolutely loved it. The character development of FMC , sameer and kalindi's love for poetry. It's all soo beautifully written. it wasn't some fairly tail romance, and i would love to read more from this author Also they ending is good, young people falling in love and getting married too early is what we see most often but here their decision was mature. I like them Over all the story was soo much worth it
💜 Romance novels are cliché and I’m not a fan of them either especially not the ones that have a very sugary title such as this one, however, having said that, I actually liked this book; I really did.
💛 It’s nothing out of the ordinary or something that you haven’t read before. It’s a college romance of two teenagers amidst the chaos of friendship dramas and a long-distance relationship. However, it’s the author’s impressive writing style and the characters she bought to life that did the magic for me.
❤️ What I loved the most in this story was how raw and vulnerable the main protagonist, Kalindi Bajaj was portrayed. She didn’t have a façade and she was as raw as anyone could possibly be. All of her emotions, especially the negative ones such the insecurities that come along with love and the overthinking that happens when you’re invested into someone, were so beautifully written and shown that you actually feel that the author is talking about you and your inner thoughts. It just connects so naturally and beautifully that it manages to bring a smile on your face!
💜 The friendship dramas are so real and anyone who has been through them would relate at all levels. I absolutely enjoyed reading Nia’s parts.
💛 Sameer, Kalindi’s love interest and vice versa, ticks all boxes of a good and lovable boy and he too has been bought out wonderfully by the author.
❤️ I also liked how the subject of doing what you love is dealt with silently in the background of the story and how you should have the courage to pursue your passion no matter what the circumstances.
💜 On the whole, this is a feel-good book with a bitter-sweet ending and a book that makes you feel as though you’re reading the story of one of your close friends, thus making you want to keep reading it without a pause.
💛 Romance book lovers, pick this up without a second thought and non-romance book lovers; definitely think about giving this a try. As for me, positively awaiting any future sequels or spin-offs to this book!
🌸It is a story of a teenage girl who just finished her school studies & going to Nagpur for higher studies. She is a overthinker & quite careless from her mother perspective.
🌸Kalindi thinks her best friend aanya and her love betrayed her. This feeling affects her studies and her score is always low.As she chooses statistics just to impress her parents.
💕Kalindi meets a boy named Sameer in college.Sameer is in his final year while the Kalindi in first. As, both are in literature club as their interests in poems are same. They became good friends in a very short time, spends most of the time together.
💕I love the part where they discussed about Romeo- Juliet story both of them have same perspective but in different way. Even the perspective of Sameer was like just same as I thought after the reading of that story but the arguments of Kalindi literally make me think twice about deaths of Romeo- Juliet.
⚡️As Kalindi is a overthinker girl again she started doing the same about Sameer , that he loves her ? Or she just loves him ? Or they are just good friends?Or it’s gonna be happen same as happend in past with Vikrant?
⚡️Read the book to know the answer of these written in a very simple language.

The writing style of the author is free flowing and simple by making it as an easy going read. The language is lucid and the narration is captivating. The plot is gripping and the storyline is relatable. However, I felt like that some twists and turns might have been added to have lot more fun here and there in the story. Otherwise it’s a nice romantic love story and its recommended to all those romance fiction lovers.
📚 Take My Heart, Write Your Name Author- Neha Singh Format- kindle Pages- 263 pages
This book is a debut novel of the Author which she curated under 25 chapters in about 260 pages.
The main protagonist of our story is Kalindi. When I started this book first 2-3 chapters were a little saddening but then the story became interesting. So the strategy is that Kalindi joins a college with a heart broken into pieces because of betrayal from her boyfriend, Vikrant & bestfriend, Aanya. She tries to overcome all these & move on from broken heart & start life back to normal but it seems difficult for her. She wants to focus on her studies but she can't & that eventually affects her grades. But then enters some good people, Sameer & Nia in her life. Nia is a good character. And the common interest of Sameer & Kalindi in literature, poetry made them come closer & a strong bond is formed. What will happen next??? Will she trust Nia & her friendship.? Will she trust Sameer, leaving the scars of past.?
Give it a shot guys...!! Overall, a good story. It's a slow burn romance that also shows insecurities, betrayal, misunderstandings & overcoming all these.
It's all about second chances in this college romance novel. In terms of love, friendship, and life, second chances.
Two youngsters in the novel, Sameer and Kalindi, are involved in a long-distance relationship. After being betrayed by her best friend Aanya and her boyfriend Vikrant, Kalindi enters college with a broken heart. She works very hard to focus on her studies and organise her life, but it's difficult when you can constantly see your past. However, when she meets Sameer and Nia, her life begins to change for the better, and she begins to fall in love once more. Little did she realise, though, that her past would soon return to haunt her.
Anyone can attest to how difficult it is to recover from heartache and betrayal. Kalindi is similarly struggling with those emotions. This is a short, charming tale. I appreciated how the author depicted the female protagonist's reluctance to trust. She did a good job of describing the difficulties of a long-distance relationship. An enjoyable read overall.
Kalindi has joined the college in Nagpur away from her parents. She is not interested in statistics but joins to impress her parents. She is heartbroken as her boyfriend cheated on her with her best friend. She tries to overcome her heartbreak and start life again with new friends. But is unable to overcome her ex-boyfriend. This affects her studies and her score is always low. The professor advises her to join a society which will help her in her studies as well. Kalindi joins the literary society. Kalindi meets Sameer and they click instantly. Their love for literature makes their friendship strong.
Will Kalindi be able to trust again and fall in love again ? Will she be heartbroken again ? Will she be able to do well in her studies ?
This is a simple and sweet story. I liked the way the author penned the hesitation of the female protagonist to trust again. She has described the issues of a long-distance relationship well. Overall, a good read.
‘Pain of love lasts forever’. Such pain of love also dwelt in the heart of our protagonist Kalindi, who after getting betrayed and heartbroken by her best friend Aanya and her boyfriend Vikrant, joined college to divert her mind from heartaches to studies, but it’s not that easy as it seems. But when she met Nia and Sameer, she got a hope to love and live again with positivity and happiness. But Kalindi had no idea how her past can revisit her again.
Kalindi and Sameer’s chemistry is something that would bring butterflies in the stomach of the readers. The witty conversations between the two is really enjoyable to read.
I liked the way the story is depicted by the author, it’s a cosy book to read by all. The language is readable and lucid and I appreciate the smooth flow of the novel. A well written debut novel, a realistic love story of the protagonist.
Must grab a copy to know what happened to Kalindi’s new college life.
No matter how people may portray but love stories always have a special place in my heart. Each tale of love offers varying colours of hopes, emotions and feelings left unsaid.
Every author has its own unique style of conveying 'Love' in a literary form. But although being the debut novel of the writer, she made me enjoy every instances penned beautifully.
Overcoming a betrayal and a heartbreak had never been easy on anyone. Same goes for Kalindi, trying to overcome the emotional turmoil she starts her college life with hope for a future that's way better. Meeting new friends and adding the trust to love and in love, things started getting better.
But what if it's never a happily ever after when your past comes haunting to break you down again ???? Read this tale to enjoy another dimension of love....
Hearts will never be practical until they are made unbreakable. The saddest thing about love is that not only that it cannot last forever, but that heartbreak is soon forgotten. Now coming to the book. The main protagonist of the story is Kalindi. Two years ago Kalindi's trust was wounded and her heart broke into so many pieces. And it looked she might never recover from it. Her professor advises her to join a society which will help her in her study. There she meet Sameer and they click instantly. Their love for literature makes their friendship strong. Will she trust again? Will she be able to do well in her studies? To know all the above questions. You have to read the book. So go grab the book. Highly recommended.
Kalindi joins college with a broken heart and betrayal from her best friend Aanya and boyfriend Vikrant . She tries hard to concentrate on studies and align her life but it's not so easy if u can see ur past always around.
But when she meets Nia and Sameer life starts changing for good she starts falling in love again but little did she know that her past will come haunting her again.
The book is written very well by the author especially the love notes exchanged between Kalindi & Sameer in form of John Keats poems are delightful. The romance between them will give you all the butterflies
I absolutely loved the ending one of the most realistic ending I have read in recent past.
Take My Heart, Write Your Name is a contemporary romance book taking place in a college setting. It follows the story of Kalindi, who was betrayed by her ex-boyfriend by cheating on her with her then-best friend.
The story is simple yet riveting. The plot had potential, yet the execution was somewhat bland. I could not connect to the characters as much as I wanted to, and the book seemed too rushed. Sometimes, I failed to understand the reasons behind the characters' actions which further isolated the book's content. The ending was also okay - nothing too grand to throw me off the groove.
All in all, the book was a quick and decent read but not one I'll be picking up again anytime soon.
Read it if you're looking for a quick contemporary read.
This book revolves around two souls 'Sameer' and 'Kalindi'. Who are in a long distance relationship. Their love story is filled with multiple sentiments including hope, love, desire, insecurity and much more.
Go through this book completely to experience these step by step. One after another. I loved these lines from the book 'Love is imagery; it is provoked in one heart and evoked in another.’
Well we all must have experienced that life is all about a second chance. At the end of phase one. A person loses all the hope and falls down. But one must gather strength at that point of time and flight the battle again.
Go through this amazing book. I am pretty sure that you too will enjoy reading this one as I did.
Anyone can attest to how difficult it is to recover from heartache and betrayal. The same is true for Kalindi, who begins her college career with the hope of a far brighter future while working to overcome her inner pain. Things started to improve after making new friends and adding trust to love and in love.
The conclusion is also positive; although it happens frequently, young people falling in love and getting married too young in this case showed maturity in their choice. The connection between Kalindi and Sameer will give readers butterflies in their stomachs.
This novel is about teenage romance and has first person narration of Character named Kalindi. This story helped me to reminisces my college days. Those were the golden days and I lived them again thru the story. If you are fan of below tropes, do give this novel a try😊

Title: Take My Heart, Write Your Name Author: Neha Singh Genre: Romance
This book is a college romance fiction and it's all about second chances. Second chances in love, friendship and life.
The story is about two teenagers- Sameer and Kalindi who are in a long distance relationship. The problems that they went through have been mentioned in a structured manner.
It is an ordinary romance book filled with multiple emotions. Hope, love, fun, desire, flirt, insecurities all these emotions have been penned down nicely by the author. It's the writing style of the author which I liked the most. It's very flowing and simple making it an easy to go read. The language is lucid and the narration is utterly captivating. I liked how the author has shown realism in the story. However, I feel some twists and turns could've added a lot more fun in the story.
This story starts with the FMC is moving to another city for college and she is trying to reach out to her boyfriend but he is not replying to her and there's some bad blood between her and her close friend. At first FMC sounds very needy, immature and overreacting to everything but she is just starting college so I don't expect her to be perfect so I looked past that. We get a lot of high school drama in the first one third of the book, but then the love interest is introduced and he is super adorable and swoon worthy. Their love for poetry brings them together and their love story flourishes through that, which is very cute. But it changes over time, there are mistakes made by both the characters but they learn through them and grow which is just the way it should be when it comes to YA/NA. In all, a very nice book with a very good love story. Rating: 3.8
