Knot All Is Omegaverse #3

Knot All Is Ruined Part I

Rate this book
They told us we’d be helping our country.

That we’d be preventing war.

It was all one big fat lie and we believed it—until it was too late.

Waking up on a bus headed for a war-torn country was just the beginning of the nightmare I couldn’t wake up from. They’d told us during our time in the Omega Care Center there was a chance we might be sent to another country if we didn’t find a pack. They didn’t say we’d be drugged and put on this bus sent to be breeders for a war that would never end.

Here they didn’t see us as human, only a tool to produce more soldiers whether we liked it or not. I learned quickly that my stubborn streak was going to make the difference between letting this new life destroy me or surviving long enough to escape.

Unfortunately my fighting nature and refusal to submit is what attracted the attention of the very people I wanted to avoid. Now I’m being sent off to a remote military outpost close to the front lines, to be the personal breeder of the General’s heir and Commander of the Northern army.

Will I be able to survive in a world that sees Omegas as less than human? Am I strong enough to keep fighting when the world keeps telling me to submit?

It better be, because I’m going to prove once and for all that not all Omegas are weak. I will not let this ruin me, I will survive even if I have to take the whole army down.

The Knot All Is Omegaverse series is back with Knot All Is Ruined Part 1. This time the story focuses on Dani, a young omega from Os* who was on that bus heading towards Asturg. If you read the previous books then some names and situations should be quite familiar in this book.

Dani is my girl, I see a bit of myself in her. She's independent, intelligent, fierce, and like me doesn't know how to be quiet. She is loyal to a fault, once you are hers, she will fight tooth and nail for you. Dani endured a horrible life, but she gave up. Now she is traumatized as heck but her trauma manifests in anger and determination and she uses that to her advantage. She refuses to stay down and be quite about the injustices she sees. She wants to fight to make things better.

Talk about complicated romantic entanglements. Dani is given to Lucian, the general's son, as his own personal breeder so things start off bad between them. However, things change over time and some kind of relationship develops. Lucian isn't a bad guy he was just raised in a horrible country with a monster for a father. He tries but can't go too far out of line because it could be deadly for both of them. Then there's the pack that Dani meets and the guys are great Sorin is the responsible leader, Petru is the sweet one who believes in fate, Cristofor is the adorable beta who understands omegas, Toma, the heartthrob geek, and finally Victor, crazy and fiercely protective. All of them feel a connection between them and Dani, some think it was meant to be and maybe it was, she fits in spectacularly well with this pack. The pack cares for her but there are some hurdles to deal with like Lucian. Things get messy and that makes me wonder how Liz is gonna resolve it.

This story was very interesting, I've never read a story with a war being a huge aspect and it not being a paranormal story that I am used to. I find that I did enjoy it which surprises me cause it's something I would normally avoid but once again Liz has pulled me out of my comfort zone and I enjoyed it.

North Asturg is literal Hell. At this point, no one can convince me otherwise. 😑 You know that saying, "All the devils are here", I have never felt like a phrase/quote summed up something so perfectly well. The men of this country are cruel and women are nothing, only seen as breeders to help further the cause. That's what they call them, breeders, and it's not just the omegas but betas too. They are so concentrated on winning the war with Southern Asturg that they have lost all value in life. They have no homes, only barracks, and breeding houses, no family, because they raise everyone in a group home, no comradery, no joy. It's a sad way to live. They are never gonna win the war because they have nothing to fight for, they're just fighting. I blame the government, Lucian's dad, General Rasvan. He's a hard and cruel man who only thinks about winning and his solution is to throw more bodies at it. I have a bad feeling about him.

Things are vastly different in Southen Asturg. There are packs and families, food is plenty, and people are looked after and cared for. The biggest difference is everyone is equal whether they be male or female, alpha, beta, or omega, they believe in equality. Now, everything isn't perfect some don't believe in equality, as well as cruel entitled people and political games. Nowhere is perfect, this utopia viewpoint, which makes me think they have a bigger problem with discontent than they realize.

All is NOT Ruined was a great read. I love Dani's spirit, bravery, and big heart. Liz, the drama queen that she is, ended the story on a spectacular cliffhanger. Seriously, it was very dramatic, and I loved every single minute. There are a lot of moving pieces and things need to be resolved especially Dani's love life. Liz has created a few obstacles that's gonna be hard to get around and I can't wait to see how she's gonna solve them. Up next is Knot All Is Ruined Part 2 and I'm looking forward to it.

Rating- 4 good
Heat- 2.5
Entire duet rating- 3.5
Tropes- omegaverse, MMMFMMM, captive
Need to know- has a few crossover characters from previous duet

The Knot All Is Omegaverse is a darker take on the omegaverse genre. This isn’t a world where omegas are prized and loved. Instead, they are treated like brood mares. It’s a world that breaks most omega women, but not Dani. All of the mistreatment that she has received has only made her stronger and more determined to be more than society will allow her to be. Dani was incredibly easy to root for. She has tons of spirit, and it was so sweet to watch the hard shell she placed around her heart for protection melt away when she met men who treated her as an equal.

The men and their relationships with Dani were somehow a both a detriment and asset to the story. The concept of being owned by an enemy Alpha and then falling for that Alpha’s enemies is entirely fresh. I’ve not read anything like it. I particularly enjoyed watching her open up to the pack, and some of those men (Victor) were absolutely perfect. They were all so good at understanding what she needed from them to feel safe and respected. However, Lucian’s relationship of enemies to lovers/ captor to slave was the one I was most excited to see but it ended up being the most disappointing. It just isn’t fleshed out. We don’t really see their relationship. After a few interactions, we really don’t see them together at all until I would have like to see more of that coveted tension of wanting someone you also want to hate.

I enjoyed this book, although I found a couple of inconsistencies- she said that the bus she woke up on had more than the usual 10 girls, closer to 30, but later on in the book she says 10 girls when she’s debriefing the southern warriors.

Her friends said she was private property of Lucian (and therefore didn’t need to service all the alphas like the other breeders) but then Soren said “The last thing she needs is you losing yourself to rut and using her as all the other Alphas had” Which makes me think he either forgot or I’m misinterpreting.

I’ll be looking forward to the next one

Dani has been through hell and back, but it hasn’t snuffed out her fighting spirit. I loved Dani, she’s feisty, fierce, and so unbelievably strong. When she finds herself in an impossible situation, she does what she needs to in order to survive.

I love that all the guys are different and bring something unique to the table. I enjoyed seeing Dani and the guys relationship grow and look forward to seeing more growth and dynamic in the next book.

The storyline is great and the characters even better. The cliffhanger will leave you shaking your head and wishing you had book 2 now.

I loved Dani’s story, once I started I could put this book down. When Dani wakes up in the middle of the night on a bus full of omegas who are all drugged, she tries not to panic. She and the other omegas are delivered to a breeder house and she finds out her fighting personality just delivered her to commander Lucian as his new omega. As the heir and most feared, Lucian gives Dani some protection but he never wanted an omega or a child, so they make a deal. However, Dani never gives up hope of escape even though the others have.

Elizabeth Knight knows how to get your heart involved with her characters. The characters and the story have nuance and depth. While the story has themes that can be quite triggering, the author manages to handle them with care. I will be anxiously awaiting the 2nd book in this duet. Elizabeth Knight is an author to keep your eye on.

I like it okay but . . .

the switch from hate to having intimacy between the Omega and the southern unit men was too fast. As much as the author tried, I didn't want her to trust them quite yet.

Ever since completing Cambrie’s story, I was eager to see what life would be like in the North, where the raging war is taking its toll on people and a rescue mission is being set in motion for abducted omegas. Knot All Is Ruined focuses on Dani, an omega who is being thrown into the world of havoc as she is designated to become the property of the Commander of the Northern Army. The first part of this book is absolutely heart-wrenching, as the FMC along with many other omegas are forced into a life that completely robes them of their basic human wrights such as freedom of choice and freedom of speech. Elizabeth Knight has done superbly as she portrays those women, for whom everyday is a struggle to survive and despite all horrendous experiences they have been put through, they somehow find the courage and strength to keep pushing.

Dani is a survivor, she is not a damsel in distress and when the circumstances do not provide her with options, she manages to adapt. Her connection with the Commander is intriguing as one could see that in their situation, none of them had much choice, so they adapted to the situation. When an occasion presents itself and Dani manages to make a run with her friends for her life she encounters forces from the South, the Elite team and things in her life take a drastic turn.
I love the plot so far and to be quite frank I am completely smitten with the story. The characters are so diverse, and they offer so much more than one initially anticipates, that I cannot wait to see where all of this shall lead to. The love stories here may seem rather unconventional, but that does not make them any less genuine.

The ending of this first part was most certainly intense and I cannot wait to see how the main protagonist will deal with the new revelations.

Wow wow wow. I've been waiting for this book and have been dying to see what happened to the omegas shipped off to Asturg in Knot All is Lost. What I wasn't expecting was the time lapse but boy did it help this story majorly. I loved seeing how this new life affected Danella and her friends, whether it made them stronger or weaker. Dani was a stubborn and powerful character from the get go and I'm glad to see that living in Asturg didn't shape her into a meek and subservient omega like it would some. She wasn't broken by any means. If anything, this life made her even stronger than before.
I have to say that I liked all the main characters in this book, even Lucian. I have high hopes for that man. Even with the Northern and Southern war happening, I have a feeling his love for Dani will put his head on straight and have him thinking clearly instead of following daddy's orders. At the start of the book I wasn't quite sure if something would progress with him and Dani past their deal, however, by the end of the book, I was hoping it would eventually lead to that once feelings were expressed…after all of the chaos that is bound to happen that is. I'm sure Dani and the other alphas will have one heck of a time getting back on track after that whopper of an ending but I think it will all work out. Can't wait to see what happens next!

The time skip definitely took me by surprise, but having that foundation and 3 years together was a good idea for sure. I kind of hate Lucian a tiny bit because he's stubborn and blind and biding his time was an incredibly dumb idea. Buuuuut, having those couple chapters in his perspective, did help his case a little. He's committed to Dani and wants a better life for her. He has just been raised brainwashed and doesn't even know what a better life could look like.

The situation in the North is so tragic, I hate the thought of all those omegas in the breeding houses suffering while the main characters are training and getting to know each other.

The den mother Omega is my number 1 in this book. Her and that luscious couch I've been dreaming of. I hope Dani gets her own custom couch when this war is over. She absolutely deserves it.

I love how badass Dani is. Even when weak and starved and injured, her attitude a smack talking to the guys was perfect. They need her to smack them around a little and remind them they're not hot shit.

I'm hoping this book means that we'll also get a resolution for the situation in Sheeria and can end this world with HEA's everywhere. But if not, this one's really good so I'm happy with it. I'm happy already, and this was only part 1. I know part 2 is going to be just as awesome.

It was nice to be back in the world from the first two books again. This book definitely painted a vivid picture of how bleak things are in Northern Asturg, and how terrible things are. At this point in their war, with the fact that nobody really knows what the war is about anymore, what do these people have to fight for?

There were several editing problems I discovered. The one that annoyed me the most is where it used "you're" rather than "your". This is definitely something that should have been picked up. There was another instance where punctuation was missed, and the missing quotation marks got confusing.

The story has been good. I wish there had been a little more between Lucian and Dani, for it to be a little more believable that he suddenly is in love with her. It doesn't feel very genuine to me.
I do like the slower burn stories, though, to allow for a building of emotions and a relationship between the characters. I also like the fact that this story and the first one encompass 2 books, to allow fleshing out of all the MMCs individually. So often with RH, they just blend into each other. I hope to see more of the distinctness of them in the next book.

Ive been excited for this ever since we got the teaser at the end of Knot All is Lost pt2. Dani was fierce, even when facing a hopeless set of never-ending obstacles.

If you havent read Knot All is Lost, I would recommend starting there. It helps you understand the world you are dealing with in much greater detail (and its super good, so you should read it anyways).

Its hard to talk too much about the rest of the characters without giving too much away, but I enjoyed all the people Dani gathered on her journey.

The ending had me shaking me head, because ::someone:: is so stubbornly stupid that they did the exact opposite of what they needed if they wanted to gain trust. Its going to be fun reading the punishment they will face in the start of part 2 (because they will be sorry).

The characters are well rounded and the plot is interesting and well-paced. I had a hard time setting this one down, and found my mind wandering to it every time I was forced to socialize this weekend. This one isnt super spicy, but I expect that will change in part 2 👀

This is the incredible new addition to the Knot all Is Omegaverse and is part one of a duet.

I honestly cannot tell you how much I love Danella, she has gone through h*ll being and omega, but she still manages to keep her feistiness and her determination to save herself and her two friends, who have been through even worse experiences than she.

I also love the guys, they each bring something to the table that Dani very much needs. Watching Dani struggle with her emotions and what it is to be an omega is heartbreaking. She has trouble allowing herself to be vulnerable enough to allow what her body wants/needs as an omega. The guys really try to help her through it all and assure her that she is safe with them, but Dani has understandable issues with trust and is always assuming people have an ulterior motive for being helpful or caring.

The writing, storyline, characters, character development, world building, and storytelling are all incredible. I cannot recommend this book enough. IMO it’s a definite Must Read. I will be excitedly awaiting the second half of this duet.

Please make sure to read the trigger warnings.

With that being said OMG!!OMG!! I absolutely devoured this book and start to Danella aka Dani’s story. This is the first book in a duet and is in the same universe / story line as Knot all is lost but is a separate story and FMC. I would recommend reading knot all is lost first to get an idea of the story line and understanding of the world you are stepping into. I loved getting to see Dani’s story start and evolve to where she is now. Dani is so fierce, loyal, sassy, feisty, and so incredibly strong. Love getting to see her and the guy’s relationship grow and how strong it has become in such a short time. There is one man I would like to smack in the back of the head right now but I’m hopeful his stupidity can be redeemed. Elizabeth knight I’ve never wanted a book to NOT end as badly as I did this one!! I need more!! March cannot not come soon enough to see what comes next for our Dani girl!!

I was so excited for this book after getting the little teaser from Knot All is Lost pt 2. Dani is such an amazing character and I was excited that we get to see what she goes through. It's not an easy journey but it won't be in the omegaverse that Elizabeth created. There is so much going on that omegas have to go through and Dani's journey isn't an easy one.

Without giving too much away, the people that Dani surrounds herself with on her journey through book one are interesting. Their relationships grow over the book as they all figure out the twists and turns. Dani is a great FMC she's fierce and she is determined to fight for what she believes in. The guys, I can't say which one is my favorite yet, I think part 2 will determine that. Maybe even the one that's got his head stuck up his butt.

Part 2, truly can't come fast enough, but it looks like we won't be waiting long. If you haven't read Knot All is Lost, definitely give it a read!

I loved Knot All is Lost and the new world that Elizabeth Knight had created. Reading about Cambrie, her trauma and her guys was very one I really enjoyed.

When we were introduced to the war-stricken countries that the omegas were getting sold off to, I knew it was going to a dark and ragged story. Danella is such a strong and powerful omega - even if she hasn't been able to protect herself or others. Seeing how each of the guys act with her and see what she needs in order to heal was really interesting to read about.

This book did end in a cliffhanger and I can't wait for book 2 to come out!

I loved this book, it’s honestly fantastic. The storyline takes you in such a moving journey full of despair, loathing, abuse, war, hate and compassion.. I dare say even love and respect.
It’s written with such detail and emotion, I was in tears numerous times - it really hits you hard some of those scenes, wow!
Dani is a amazing character, she does what’s right and cares/fights for her friends. Love her backbone and ‘won’t back done’ attitude.
Lucian I found an interesting character, caught between what he is forced to do my his dictator father and what he feels is right.
Loved the mystery, the action and the suspense throughout, that cliff hanger ending was painful - I need the next book ASAP.
Thanks for such an amazing book, love books like this where the real world fades and you fall into the book world - absolutely amazing!

Darker and grittier than the first duet.

This story is not the sugary sweetness we got with Knot All Is Lost.

In the same world as Cambrie and her pack, this is the story of one of the omegas that was sold off to a different country.

Dani is strong and a fighter, but she couldn’t fight her way out of the fate she was handed once she entered the Omega compound. At least, not at first… but as time left Dani jaded, she finally gets her chance to run. Only, to run right into another unit.

But they begin showing her that they want to protect her, have her back, and teach her to fight herself against anyone who would seek to enslave her again. Things get complicated, and we are left with a hell of a cliffhanger.

It’s great first book for this duet. Be warned this is a slow burn and spice is very minimal.

So...
To leave a review without spoilers....
This book is mega insane, soo much happens in this book it's crazy. It starts off with a bad a$$ fmc. One of my favorites I read in a long time. She gets beaten down, she has moments where she is human, where she doesnt know how to continue, but she doesnt give up. Shes not a robot. Now if you read parts 1&2 you may have certain expectations coming into this book, dont. Throw them all out. I was so confused coming into this book, I was sure it picked up at the end of book 2, and well...you'll see for yourself. So much happens in this book and yet it's like spinning tires, never getting too far. I love how the author plays this. Such an amazing book I honestly cannot say this enough. A must read for 2023 and were only in January. I cant wait for March for part 2 to see how the author ties it all together.

OMG! What a read!

I absolutely love Daniella. She is a strong and sassy omega with a wicket right hook! While reading this book, I felt as if I knew her personally, because she reminded me so much of myself.

This book has its moments of deep emotions with such a amazing storyline. I couldn’t get enough of this world. I am obsessed, and cannot wait for more!

Knot All is Ruined is a stand alone story within the same world as Knot All Is Lost: Part 1 and Knot All Is Lost: Part 2, but I would highly recommend to read all parts as it will make the reading experience, even more enjoyable!

Elizabeth Knight is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors to read, and her work is just simply phenomenal. I highly recommend this book and cannot wait for part two!

We are still inside the Knot All is Omegaverse series…..but now we are focusing on Dani. We met her in the last book and now we get to focus on her. Dani is a fierce independent omega. She is very loyal, she will do everything in her power to fight for you. She herself has had a horrible life. She is sold to Lucian, to be his breeder. As the story grows their relationship grows. Lucian isnt bad he was just raised by a bad guy. twist time…. Dani meets another pack and these could be her men. All of them feel a connection between them and Dani. The two different sections of the city are different…. North Asturg is evil ….while Souther Asturg- everything is peaceful and happy. I cant wait to see where this story goes

I enjoyed this book. This story is set in the same settings as Knot all is Lost but with a different omega and a different pack. Danella is living in an Omega care center. One night her and a bunch of other omegas were taken. They were brought to Asturg. It’s a war torn country. They don’t see omegas as human. All they are is to be used for breeding. Danella is sassy and smart. She doesn’t take no crap. She wants everyone to see that’s how omegas should be. That is how she ended up being the personal breeder to the commander. Will she survive this new world? Lucian is the commander. He makes a deal with Danella to try and help protect her and his self from his father the general. Will Lucian keep to the deal? Read the book to find out.

OMG!!! Elizabeth Knight has done it again! I didn't think she could make another omega verse that was as captivating as Knot All Is Lost, but dare I say this one is just as good if not better!!

Typically you expect an omega verse to be sweet and loving, this is not that. We get a war torn country with political intrigue. A FMC who has suffered 3 years of giving her body to keep herself and those she loves safe. The intermingling of world view and the need for change is amazing. Dani is so damn strong, and to see her finally start to get the love she needs and the support to feel like she is in control of her life made me so happy!!!

That damn cliff hanger has me on pins and needles for book 2!!!! It cannot come out soon enough!

THE CLIFFHANGER!!

Okay I absolutely loved this book. Omega in a war-torn country basically a prisoner (but not?). I love how this one continued on the storyline from Knot All is Lost but with different characters and aspects of omegaverse. The morally grey character was actually swoon worthy and you fall for all the wrong people. Having an omega deal with all the aspects of being in a warzone while also trying to have her needs met and meeting growly alphas along with way was so interesting. There was not a ton of spice in this one as it was very much leading up to the next book which I suspect much more spice. BUT the spice we did get was amazing and so worth the wait.

So excited for book two I cannot even explain, got to read it to see what its all about.

First, stop, note triggers before you read!
This book has a lot of twists and turns in a war toward country. In the north Omega's are nothing but breeders to create more for the army. In the south, they are treated as equals. Dani is an omega that finds herself in the hands of a commander of the northern army. She made the best of it even in a drought, stricken country or food was scarce. One situation is lead her to be in the hands of an elite team of southern soldiers, all alpha, save one. Will she work with them to bring down the north? The world building is continued to though this series from the Knot all is lost series!

Daniella is a force to be reckoned with. She is a feisty Omega who wants to do the right thing, wants to be more than her designation, and also just wants to go back to her family.

Lucian, Alpha who I am so torn about. I want to hate him for everything he stands for from first glance but deep down I love him, and pray he will do the right thing.

I can’t say anything else without spoiling anything so I will leave you with buckle up and be prepared to have your heart torn open but also be laughing like a hyena at other parts.
