Non-Stop Action . . .

Cassandra and the incubus demon Zaki are walking in the darkness toward a barrier to the Light Realm, their only way out. The barrier was created centuries ago by a Shadow Mage, so Cassandra should be able to open it. Zaki is a bit nervous about meeting her mates once they leave this realm. But it is still far off and Cassandra needs to rest. He sees her constant tripping in the dark as she struggles to keep going. So he leads her to an abandoned village where a bright shape floats in a doorway.

Cassandra senses no danger, but calls the shadows to protect her – which causes the “firefly” to squeal and attack her. Others fly out from other doors and all hover at her face. What she thought was an attack was excitement at her presence, little faces grinning, arms waving at her. They are not fully human-like, having sharp teeth and grass-like hair, but definitely not bugs. Zaki called them “pixies”. One landed on her hand and ATE the shadow she had protecting her! Then dozens of pixies landed on her. They give her a place to sleep, bring berries for her to eat, and protect her while she sleeps. But just in case, Zaki keeps watch over her. When she awakens, she has a strange taste in her mouth.

When something comes through a portal, Zaki materializes his daggers to fight. But it seems the hellhound Oreo has appeared and is delighted to be with her again. She asks if her mates are with him and asks him to bring them closer to the barrier as he goes through another portal to comply. So Zaki continues leading her to the barrier.

Tristan in gargoyle form carries the blinded Donatello (vampire) on his back through the woods. Donatello does not want to slow them down as they have to out-distance the relentless Kayn to survive, so he asks Apollo (dragon shifter), who easily makes the hard choices, to leave him behind. Unfortunately, they all refuse to do so. When branches snap behind them, they run to escape, thinking Kayn has caught up. But the smell of sulfur confuses them until Oreo blocks their path and wants them to follow him. His bark will draw Kayn, but they can’t grab Oreo so Tristan says they should trust and follow him. Ahead is the sound of crashing water and, with Tristan’s coat covering Donatello from the sun, they leap from the cliff as Kayn and a dozen or more vampires suddenly stop their pursuit, not willing to run into the bright sunlight here. Oreo leads the others forward. All they can see ahead is a huge black magical wall, the barrier into the Cursed Realm. They know they can’t enter it. And Kayn and the vampires, now wearing covers, are once again coming after them. Will they turn away to run and not follow Oreo who is leading them to Cassandra? Will this reunion never happen?

There is so much more to the story that you won’t want to miss. Grab your copy and see if fate will be kind to them or if their nightmare will never end.

Great end to the series. Would honestly highly recommend this for anyone wanting a paranormal romance with super high/steamy heat! Thats honestly saying a lot bec as I mentioned on book one: I typically resist reading a romance series. But I loved this one!

Typically when reading reverse harem storylines it seems like the story takes second place to the sex scenes. That didn’t happen with this series. The storyline was developed, great world building, I was invested in the characters. Loved our main female character Cass- she was a great combo of strength, but had vulnerability, she stood up for herself and those she loved but also leaned on them, she was full of love/devotion to her family, funny.

I DO still have questions though!
-Mei. She’s Rens sister and her wolf isn’t emerging. I get that bec of trauma and hoping maybe a story in the future? BUT she’s also a witch? I dont recall Ren mentioning that she was a hybrid. Perhaps I missed it.
- the King of the Wild Things. Where the hell was he during the battle?? I mean come on guy! Glad you sent help and all but …. Your second in charge/assistant was at the battle and you weren’t? Wth dude?!?!
- why didn’t Apollo turn into his dragon during more fights? Such as when (2nd book?) they are all running from Kayn out in the middle of nowhere? He had space to do it.

Wanted to love it but it just fell short for me 🤷‍♀️

More review under book 1.

One thing I’ll say was weird. And it’s so 🙄 I feel dumb bringing it up.

But the first 3 books there is SUCH a big deal about the guys refusing not to wear condoms because their animals will bite and claim her. Then they stop using them in this book and but don’t immediately claim her? When they were more emotionally attached? Makes NO sense.

Why make a big deal about it to begin with? It wasn’t about unprotected sex safety because she was definitely going bare with others.

😂 like I said. Dumb to bring up, but when the author makes it such a big deal for 70% of the series and then it’s just suddenly not… like wtf was the point?

I guess it ended okay. I think where it fell short was the lackluster villain with weird goals. He wanted to bust back into a realm where there were no humans to feed on, and only a few dormant vamps left. In fact, as soon as he crossed the barrier, our girl and her guys should have just crossed back over, leaving him stranded to starve. He would have had to do the vamp long-sleep thing, and would be much easier to kill. I get that he’s old, but he seemed overpowered for being just a vamp, and our guys seemed underpowered.
The story was enjoyable enough, plot holes and bad logic were very frustrating.

i’m not going talk about the romance i’ve complained about it enough in the other books.

the mfc story arc was realistic. if a random person woke with had powers and was told they need lead a whole realm they would not be good at it. it lead to a lot of repetitive failure that was annoying but it works for her. the thing that was annoying is that everyone was acting like she was so smart brave and special. her powers were unique but i don’t think she was smart and definitely not braver than others. she also was tstl. like girl there is powers in numbers why are you running.

i didn’t like the characters and was rolling my eyes by end of it but i enjoyed it enough to finish the series.

Great series

The series is full of an amazing plot and loving mates. It's one of the few that I've read that don't counter the fact that she's mortal and will not live like the rest of her mates. And I don't know how I feel about that? But as someone who reads multiple series a week I recommend this. Read the trigger warnings but know that there really isn't many. Aside from torture and kidnapping.

This is a real good series!

What a great ending to a series! I really enjoyed this the last installment and the entire series overall. It is a fantasy with very erotic scenes that will bring heat to your face. Thanks for the great read!

This book was bloody brilliant. I literally couldn’t put it down! There are so many emotions! I feel like I've just gotten off an emotional rollercoaster. I honestly, I'm dizzy from it.

must read!!

I have never been so obsessed with a series! I read all 5 in a matter of days and was so so sad when I got to the last chapter. The author did an amazing job with all 5 books, not once did I get bored or skip through a page!

I loved this series, told from all POV. I thought it could be wrapped up in 4 books, but still worth the read!
