This fight is not giving the deeper emotions / character growth I'm used to seeing. So far every big matchup has had a major shift for character relationships and I'm not sure how this one is going to accomplish that
Igualmente me sigue encantando dios mío. Lo que amo windbreaker no es normal.

- the way suo dresses. omgggggg. it looks so insanely cool and flowy and airy and non-restrictive. i want to have that style!!! i love when anime/manga change up outfits and hairstyles!!! - suo and nirei training together. my heart, suo trusts in nirei but also comes to his aid when it's clear he cannot go further as of currently. the trust, the friendship, omg my feels are all over the place - it's actually so funny how sakura is a romance detector. he is so pure and expressive and open with his feelings, like an open - i wanna be friends with tsubaki so bad. he is sooooo cute - kanji, the man that you are. i would feel soooo safe with him. i'd feel safe with all furin boys!!!!!book, even though he's so crass and harsh sometimes
Nirei finally getting trained by Suo is the most precious thing <3 I hate to see Nirei being anywhere near violence because he’s such a soft baby but seeing him feel useless whenever Sakura, Suo and the others got caught in a fight feels a hundred times worse so I do look forward to him learning how to defend himself and someday, protect others too ₊˚⊹♡ and seeing Suo in his graceful fights are such a perfect serotonin boost -`♡´-
This new gang called Roppo Ichiza that the trio befriended in this volume seemed really cool. And them fighting in suits? Hot (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)⊹₊⟡⋆ The chairman has the same vibe as Ume, though perhaps more impatient, but I think I like him enough. I do however have my eyes more on one of his people, Akihito, though. He has such pretty hair ♡
Awwww Nire-chan is so cute I absolutely adore him and his quest to better himself for Sakura he is trying his best. And i also love how suo is helping him. It's the way nirei met sakura first but he's more inclined to suo since they met. For some reason, he feels more open and comfortable to him. Although, he still admires sakura the same and willing to help him reach the peak. And suo really came too fast to nirei's rescue this time. He wouldn't let anyone hurt him again because he already failed to protect him during the keel arc. Also, kudos to sakura for leaving the task to nirei and trusting his resolve. Their friendship & bond is just so precious.
I really love their friendship here with Nirei. They've known each other for a relatively short time, but they got this perfect balance between being protective of him in a fight, but also being supportive of him and giving him space to grow. Nirei and Suo are also protective of Sakura's feelings and help him in his emotional growth all the time, so now all I need is Nirei and Sakura being protective of Suo when his mysterious and probably dramatic backstory eventually gets revealed.
I now get why Sakura is always excited for free food, always accepts & appreciates it and the people who give it. With no one taking care of him, my baby prob is starving all the time.

"Ya better stop boastin'...'bout bullshit that you can't back up. Come hell...or high water...as long as I'm alive, I ain't gonna let you assholes...ruin this street!"
Tsubaki invites our favorite Furin trio to a show club on Keisei Street as thanks for their help in the last volume. Along the way, Sakura and the others accidentally involve themselves in the middle of a confrontation between Roppo Ichiza, the guardians of Keisei Street, and various teams out to complete a simple job: kidnap Narita Shizuka.
But don't let such a simple summary fool you. So much happens in this excellent volume, it's impossible to not be disappointed when the volume ends on the introduction of Gravel and its peculiar leader. First and foremost, the fights for all the characters are excellent. We're officially past the post-KEEL introspection and ready to start a new arc with a bang. The fights this volume are clearly meant to showcase the new Roppo Ichiza characters and the strides Sakura, Suo, and Nirei(!) have made since their raid on KEEL. (I'm sure we can expect even better fights next volume, since we didn't even get to see Gravel throw a punch yet...) It hasn't been that long and, as Suo says, there are still things they can improve on, but it's great to see all the boys grow more confident in their roles in Furin and their friendship. Special mention goes to Nirei, who is finally making strides in doing what he proclaimed way back in Shishitoren's introduction: fighting to defend himself.
Just as in the last volume, Tsubaki is such a fun and cute character. I'm glad we're seeing more of him so soon. And we haven't even seen him fight yet! Tsubaki's fight will probably be one of the main events this arc, so I don't mind waiting a little longer. His relationship with Shizuka will also probably become a plot point later, which I'm interested to see. No one has yet to explain why someone is so interested in kidnapping her that they'd offer a monetary reward for an entire team just to accomplish this. What sort of friend has Tsubaki involved himself with...?
Ngl, this volume was a bit mid for me. I gave it 3.5🌟 to be generous because I’m biased, and I can do whatever I want with my ratings 😌
I think the part I appreciated most about this volume was getting to see how Nirei is training to learn how to defend himself and fight. It was absolutely heart warming to see him training with Suo and seeing how supportive and encouraging Suo is with him 💖 I definitely get the girlies who ship them 🙂↕️ Yes, I do. As I said before, though, I’m actually not all in with this series because of the gay ships 😂 So, I just genuinely like seeing the boys helping each other improve.
Anyway. I also love seeing the other interests of my son Tsubaki. The fact he’s into pole dancing, and our main trio just finds it impressive that he can do that is all my spirit needs 🙂↕️ My son just has so many skills, and we love to see it!
Finally, I did laugh seeing the scene where Sakura and Nakamura both kick two different dudes at the same time and their skulls literally bang against each other. Deranged. Call for an ambulance because those dudes are KO 😂 It’s truly unhinged the kind of violence characters survive in this series.
ch 67 i love seeing them in normal clothes "a girl fell from the sky" lmao
ch 68 we had a volume of pure wholesomeness and now we're back to our regularly scheduled brawlfest. i love that nii has woven in these side plots so that just constantly railing on each other doesn't get tiring or redundant to the story
ch 69 very glad nirei has suo bc i love the guy but sakura isn't the best at gauging emotions even when they're fighting we get sweet moments like this
ch 70 lmao sakura constantly getting bombarded with romance ok roppo ichiza another gang organization tsubaki pole dancing that's amazing
ch 71 love the running joke that sakura loves to eat and just shoves food in his face constantly shizuka being to tsubaki what katoha is to umemiya
ch 72 go chairman go
ch 73 suo... it gets to a point. how much more perfect can you be
It's really nice to have a shonen series that covers such important topics. Tsubaki's way of carrying one's self really should be celebrated and if I don't see at least ONE Tsubaki cosplay at Pride this year, I'm gonna be *pissed*!
Also Nirei going to Suo for help was really nice to see. I also think having Nirei take the backburner on fights even after he began his mentorship with Suo was great to see. Often in shonen, we see characters sudden are hot shit out of no where and we see a flashback of them going to someone like "hey, teach me how to Get Good" and they're suddenly able to hold their own against a major opponent without any real natural progression. This is more realistic and it's very admirable that Nirei wasn't embarrassed to not be able to do much even after he learned his dodge move. It's realistic!
Wind Breaker is such a great series. I highly recommend it to all.
When Tsubakino, one of the Four Kings of Bofurin, invites Sakura out to an establishment in the Entertainment District, he along with Suoh and Nirei, find themselves caught in another fight with a new group called Gravel. We're also introduced to Narita, a girl who was on the run, and Roppo Ichiza, a group of people who work in the Entertainment District who seem similar to Bofurin with how they protect their area.
I really like seeing the characters and their preferences in each volume. Like with all the previous volumes, I enjoyed reading this one very much.

Again, I love Tsubakino as a character and the fact that everyone around them are so accepting of who they are as a person. Though I am a bit concerned by the fact that they're able to perform pole dancing in a bar, while still being in high school. That's honestly so questionable. I'm also just very confused why someone is sending an avalanche of people after one teenage singer. I get she's good, but why use so many resources? My guess is some dude is obsessed with her to the point of being very mentally ill.
Of all the places for this series to bring us... I wasn't expecting the redlight district. Because not only is Tsubaki a crossdresser... he's also a pole dancer. And... good for him, doing the things that make him happy.
But the bigger point of this volume is to expand the world. Because Furin isn't the only territory around, so similar to Shishitoren and Keel, we're introduced to another gang... or two.
Need to catch up on the latest season, thought I’d pick this up and then go from there. I like reading about Tsubaki and his determination to whatever he wants and live how he wants to, seeing Sakura handle romantic / platonic emotions and also learning about the different group leaders and how his idea of one changes each time plus Suo teaching Nirei how to fight and telling him that with time and patience and practice he can be just as good of fighter as the others. Its’s good stuff.
MORE FIGHTING YIPEE! this new group of people seem so cool and they are fighting in suits so how am i NOT supposed to think they are cold ASF. excited to see more of them and their virtues as well as the lore of the entire red light district. also i just love how nirei is trying to get better and fight and suo allowing that to happen and both of them not telling sakura. UGH. LOVE MY TRIO.
We are in another fighting arc. I find it so funny that these kids 15 to 18 years are just all in fighting gangs essentially. And the adults are like its cool! Thanks for protecting us from the other 15 to 18 year old fighting gangs! Its like Fight Club but with heart and developing friendship and community relationships and it cracks me up.
The introduction of another tough group of fighters, this time a little older and more mature. I’m curious about the story behind Shizuka and why so many people are after her. Is she a runaway heiress?
