Mpreg drives the story but is not the main focus. It is darker than some of my other books, but rest assured it has a HEA like always. It is not a standalone and best read in series order.

Elian, the cunning and power-hungry younger prince of Lacehaven, is everything Sebastian is not—ruthless, calculating, and determined to take what he believes should have been his. His desperation to claim the throne drives him to abduct Taurus, a formidable alpha with a vendetta against Lacehaven and its cruel omegas.
Taurus is a force to be reckoned with. His pain and bitterness over the devastation wrought by Lacehaven fuel his thirst for revenge, making him a dangerous captive. His tension with Elian simmers beneath the surface, creating a volatile enemies-to-lovers dynamic that crackles with intensity. After how much I loved the first book, this one was an extreme let down. I understand why the author did it, but Elian was too angry and hateful of Sebastian, when I felt like their relationship was improving. This same anger fed into his relationship with Taurus. It took forever for them to form a connection and even then, it seemed more instantaneous vs. them building up to something. It went from filthy alphas and pure hatred to “oh no, we’re fated mates and I love him”. It just felt disingenuous.
There were two redeeming factors in the book: the way they first tasted one another was unique AND I liked that even though he’s small, the author proved that omegas still have strength and can be protective.
Lastly, I’m disappointed that there’s not a book for Cecil. I know that he’s softer and the whole premise of these first two books is them being “dark”, but I’d have loved to see Cecil fall in love when he’s such a sleepy little thing.

I want all of these dogs! :)
It is really well writen and I love the vjemisty between the characters. And I really want Titan! Its just that the character change is too quick and as with the first book lot of information is missing and some turns of events and behaviors of the characters dont make much sense. But If I take it like fairytail then its great I just think that with little bit more focus pn details it could ne really epic story.

This book was good but not as good as rouke and Sebastian. The book was kind of rushed. We never really got to feel those moments when Taurus and Elian actually fall in love and the little quirks that made it romantic. Most of the book was about them not understanding one another and why they’re drawn to one another. I hope next book is better

This is slow-burn enemies-to-lovers starring a brat that gets his comeuppance. It moves slower than the first book I think, but it’s still enjoyable. This is my least favorite brother, but it was a nice redemption arc. I’m definitely excited for Cecil’s story now!

The first half made me want to smack the protagonists. Oakley really should have extended the second half longer to balance how annoying both protagonists were in the first half. I would have liked more smut, at least. Hate-smut at least would have improved their annoyingness significantly, but no, we only get smut once they're no longer annoying.

Overall, the book read well, so 4 stars. However, I disliked Elian until about 80 percent of the way through the book; got to love character growth. I was not a fan of the fast ending, and I wished there was more spice.

While I didn’t love this one as much as Seb and Roarke’s book, I did enjoy it. I’m looking forward to reading Cecil’s next.
