Definitely one of the best books I have ever read. Ripening is full of lesbian-ecofeminist vision, culture and knowledge. Written by two lesbians on the land (that is, living in an intentional wimmin-only country community) who share their knowledge and reflections of herbs, matriarchy, rituals, spirituality and the goddess. I recommend to read this book along with Mary Daly's "Gyn/Ecology" both complement each other and share a lot of reflexions that clearly sparks from wimmin vision and pre-patriarcal wisdom.
