The entire time I was reading this I was thinking that this read like an 8th graders creative writing assignment that someone told her was really good and should be a book . . . They lied. This book was terrible! I actually feel bad for how much I hated it.
This book needed another like 150 pages to even make sense and fill in the giant chunks of story I felt like were missing. And then the story line was predictable for the most part. And I feel like the things that weren’t “predictable” were only because the writing was so bad that you couldn’t make sense of it. What a tragic waste of time!

While the story was fairly interesting and kept me reading, the ending was extremely disappointing and personally, it didn’t make a lot of sense. It felt like 75% of the story had been written before the author actually knew how the book would end and just threw together the most random twist they could think of.
I also personally didn’t care for the way it was written. The chapters are short and switch perspectives from different characters, while also jumping to different times in the story. It feels like it was written to read like a tv shows, jumping back and forth between different scenes.
So spoiler time: Candice is actually a psychopath who has been the mastermind this whole time. Doesn’t make much sense when we’ve read most of the story from her point of view. If the chapters are written from the characters perspective, it doesn’t make a lot of sense that they would lie. We’re just reading their inner thoughts.
Also Nobody? Oh yeah that’s actually just Detective Bauer who was forced to cross dress as a child and then continues to do so as an adult to lure women he wants to kill… sounds a lot like another author’s book who has some questionable points of view…
You quickly find out that Bauer and Candy are “in love” and plotted this whole thing to run away together. But then the story changes again, and before you know it Candice decides to kill Bauer and run off to start a new life alone.
I’ll give it 2 stars for the fact that I was interested enough to keep reading until the end. But I was sorely disappointed by this “twisted” ending.

I loved it, I was always wanting to know what was going to happen next and who one of the characters were. I really enjoyed the way it was written with the journal like writing for each character in each chapter. This book made me want to start reading more books in general.

I was housesitting and I noticed this book on the nightstand. I only meant to read a few pages. I had to meet friends in half an hour. Anyway I started reading it ignoring the texts I was getting. I told myself to text them in 5 min, well 5 minutes turned to 2 hours. I just couldn't put it down! I oddly found some of the male characters sexy. though some people will disagree. I briefly skimmed through it a second time imagining I was staring at some of the guys. anyway! While I don't really agree with everything, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. it's definitely not straightforward. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for something that isn't predictable.

I'm not cool with what that psychologist clod did. I disliked most of the characters anyway. While I should have stopped reading based on my dislike I couldn't stay away! Too interesting.

This book had a lot of potential but the ending was rushed and not worthy of calling it a twist. It was tossed together to say it was unexpected and it was underwhelming to say the least.
