Determined to provide a wonderful life for her daughter, single mom, Reesa Tate, makes a gutsy move to a cabin in the forests of Piney, Arkansas. Not only is it a short distance away from her estranged parents, but it’s overseen by an odd man that she can’t quite figure out.
Theodore Whitley grew up in Piney. After his dreams of playing college ball were shattered, he found himself sliding into a comfortable life in his hometown. A comfortable and quiet life, at least, until Reesa Tate shows up. Something about the woman gets under his skin, and Theo finds the more he gets to know her, the more he doesn’t mind.
Can Reesa and her daughter find happiness in Piney?
I sat here for about five minutes trying to think of something prolific to write, and all I came up with was that first sentence. However, despite it being simple and understated, it's a genuine response. I appreciate all who read and listen to my books. And for those who rate and review it, a special thanks to you. Happy Reading! Katharine

I was captivated by this story from the first few pages, I've never read anything by this author before but I'll be on the look out for more.
Reesa and her daughter Clare tend to move every few years, working from home as a crochet pattern designer, Reesa is flexible, but its wearing thin with her 15 year old daughter Clare, she wants to settle down.
They've found a cabin in Piney, owned by Billy Lou, the matriarch of the small town. Her grandson Theo is the local mechanic but he also maintains the cabin. Theo is a loner, but Reesa and Clare are a force to be reckoned with, as his his Grandma, so he doesn't stand a chance against the 3 of them.
Billy Lou takes Reesa and Clare under her wing and the story is about how they get on, being complete opposites, it's interesting to see the story play out between Reesa and Theo.
I've already bought the 2nd book in the series and I'm hoping there are more to come.
This was an interesting story about a lady and her daughter. Both seemed to be free spirits, moving around from town to town as the notion moved them. They settled in a town called Piney, only a few miles from Ressa’s parent’s home. Very interesting story, enjoy their reunion.
An unmarried pregnant teen is left to face her consequences alone. She managed to survive and keep her daughter. Story begins as mother and daughter moves to a town 30 miles from her home. Interesting characters and how they get along.
