Back Up Quarterback by Eleanor Robins is about hard hitting football. It is a fiction book you should read because it is really good and you won't put it down. The story is about two high school boys that are trying to be quarterback for Carter High. They are both very talented players. Who will end up being the quarterback?

The two boys that are trying out for quarterback are friends. One of the quarterbacks is named Dan. The other boy’s name is Clay. Clay is from out of state, and Dan has always attended Carter High. They are in the same grade at school. These friends can be described as friendly, funny, and good teammates.

Clay got the starting job as quarterback for the team. Dan got the job as back up quarterback. The team won all their games for the football season. Dan helped Clay be the starting quarterback. I liked this book because it was about football, and I would give it 5 stars.
