The Complete Guide To Food Allergies in Adults and Children is a compact, easy-to-follow guide to food allergies. Over the years, food allergies have gone from a fringe research area to a major idea. Just go to any restaurant in America. The menus provided always list allergens and dangerous ingredients. At least, they do in the restaurants I attend.
The introduction discusses a possible cure for food allergies soon, and that would be cool.
I have celiac disease, so I know the basics of avoiding gluten. My issue is that gluten-free products taste terrible and have a strange texture. Surprisingly, celiac disease isn't an allergy, but they must have their reasons. I guess that exposure to gluten doesn't cause anaphylaxis.
Scott H Sicherer, MD, goes over the different aspects of food allergies and how to avoid and treat them. The guide is in a question and answer format, making it easy to follow and understand. The book uses a lot of food-related jargon. Furthermore, the book focuses on American medical practitioners.
Thanks for reading my review, and see you next time.
