Chef Saul runs an organized and efficient kitchen, and each member of his team has something valuable to offer. Everyone except Vicky, that is. She never wins the weekly baking competition, and she's sure the only reason she still measures up is because she's dating the executive chef. At least that's what everyone else must think.
As Vicky's insecurities start affecting the entire kitchen team, however, Chef Saul must put his foot down both at work and at play. When he decides it's time to serve his darling Vicky a little tough love, he intends to make her sizzle both inside the kitchen and out.
Golden Angel is a USA Today best-selling author of heart and bottom warming romance.
She is happily married, old enough to know better but still too young to care, and a big fan of happily-ever-afters, strong heroes and heroines, and sizzling chemistry.
When not in front of her computer writing, she can be found sewing her next project, hanging out with friends, or wandering the grounds of the Maryland Renaissance Festival.
Golden Angel has a delicious treat,a very tasty quicky, called Chef Daddy. Having been published before in the 2020 edition of Dirty Daddies, she’s releasing it right in time for the 2021 edition and it’s a great way to get into the mood.
Vicky and Saul have two relationships,a private kinky one,and a work relationship where he’s her Chef. It works well,or rather it did work. Until the competition started. When Chef Saul and Chef Rachel decided it would be fun to see what their chefs from each station could come up with. And where the winner’s recipe would be served as a special throughout the week. Vicky has yet to win,and it hurts more each time she loses. It’s starting to feel like everyone thinks the only reason she still has a job because of Saul. Saul hates to see her losing confidence in herself, but what to do about it….
This really was a delicious treat! Saul is the perfect Daddy for Vicky, and he knows exactly how to make his baby girl happy. If you want an appetizer for the 2021 Dirty Daddies, you should definitely try this story!
Oh yeah you should be able to tell from the Title that this is Daddy story, but more importantly it is Daddy Dom/little girl story and it is just excellent. If you like your Daddy to be nice and Dominant this your Daddy and you will love this story just like I did. Be aware that this is a steamy story and you don't like that sort of thing you will want to pass.
I previously read "Chef Daddy" by Golden Angel when it appeared in the Limited Edition of "Dirty Daddies 2020 Anthology" and enjoyed it so much, I just had to get the single book for my collection and read it again! It's a delightful story revolving around Saul and Vicky, our hero and heroine, plus a great supporting cast! It's like watching a reality show in my mind. The setting is, for the most part, in a restaurant where everyone works. The plot? Oh, it's absolutely delicious (pun intended). They hold a weekly bake-off competition. What happens when a bratty baker needs a daddy and doesn't realize it? Golden Angel paints the perfect scenario. If you missed this delightful story when it appeared in the anthology, do yourself a favor and get it now. You definitely won't be sorry.

Plot: Vicky is upset because she never wins the weekly baking competition at the restaurant where she works. It doesn't help that the head chef is her boyfriend, Saul. She can't seem to make him or the other chef happy. So what if she's pouting a little? But Saul is going to take care of this problem once and for all.
Commentary: This story was originally part of the Dirty Daddies: 2020 Anniversary Anthology. I had mixed feelings. I felt like the relationship itself was a timebomb. Saul was her boss. They shouldn't have had a relationship where he was her direct supervisor. The other chef, Rachel, regardless of what Saul thinks, does pick on Vicky and butts into their relationship (and treats Vicky like her Little when she has no right). Vicky never wins the competition the chefs have instituted, no matter what. That competition anyways - every week, pitting employees against each other when a kitchen is already a highly competitive environment - seems like a way to sow discord. The whole dynamic of the relationship. I also dislike the portrayal of Littles as immature or incapable of regulating emotion (and I see that far more than not. It's one of the reasons I really like Honey Meyer's stories - she has Littles who are fully capable adults in the greater part of their lives). The good - some of that food sounded delicious. Saul and Vicky did communicate (kind of) eventually and found a rhythm that worked for them.
Short, sexy with a bit of kink Chef Daddy explores a love match that needs a bit of communication and exploration. This story brings the heat in the kitchen and in the bedroom.
First of all, that is NOT the same cover as the book I read. Second, yes. It has come to the time where I start reading stupid ass books for my yearly goal. This 3⭐️ rating was benevolent AT BEST and I just feel dumb after reading this novela (?)
I loved this quick little read by Golden Angel. Saul and Vicky are in a kinky relationship but he's also her boss. When she keeps losing a baking contest, she's sure the judges have it out for her and basically starts bratting out. Has Saul been to easy on her at home? Maybe it's time she remembers who her Daddy is! It's fun, it's cute and it shows the importance of communication in a relationship. Loved it
What a spicy and delicious story. Vicky is a pastry chef and the restaurant where she works is holding a weekly bake off competition. Saul is a judge in the competition, a chef at the restaurant, and a Daddy Dom. I loved how Saul encouraged and supported Vicky, and their chemistry was palpable. A really delightful story and one I definitely recommend.
*I previously read Chef Daddy in the Limited Edition of Dirty Daddies 2020 Anthology*
A delicious (see what I did there) story of Chef Saul and his girlfriend Vicky who works in the same kitchen. As competitions are instituted and Vicky does not come out on the winning end, her bratty side comes out. She is talented and consistent, but not on the cutting edge of creativity. Setting things to rights might take a stern hand.
**I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book**
This was a really good book. A wonderful blend of steam and emotion flows throughout the engaging story. I really liked the dynamic between Saul and Vicky and the chemistry they shared simply sizzled. I loved how supportive Saul was and how much encouragement he gave Vicky. I felt that this added an extra layer of sweetness to their relationship. Of my own accord I am posting a objective review.
A cute and sexy fast read! The MMC is definitely inspired by Paul Hollywood (and I ain’t complaining!) 😂 This quick novella is the tale of a man and a woman in a kinky relationship that discover together a new way to meet all their needs. He needs to be a Daddy and take care of someone and she needs a way to let go of stress and relax. 💜
I had problems with this novella when I originally read it; because not much has changed, neither have my issues. I will say that if you like consensual, mild Age Play (no diapers or bottles), you may enjoy it.
For me, there were too many red flags; while the author tried to make the scenarios palatable, they never became so for me. A boss dating a employee; another boss knowing about and injecting herself into their sex life; an experienced baker telling his girlfriend that she's "capable" (talk about damning with faint praise); a cooking competition that only by the magic of fiction doesn't pit any employee -- except Vicky -- against the other. When you add in the inconsistencies (Vicky could bake anything -- except when she couldn't; her parents were great -- except when they weren't), I didn't enjoy this as I have this author's other stories. Throughout, I didn't think that Saul respected Vicky as a person or as a professional.
3 stars. Others have liked this far more than I; this is my own subjective response.
Chef Saul and Chef Rachel are running a dessert contest in their restaurant for each employee to enter weekly with the prize being the winner's dessert is featured for the week. Vicky and Saul are lovers and Vicky believes the others in the kitchen believe that the only reason she keeps her job is because they live together. Saul keeps telling her that is not true. After her negative thoughts upon losing again when he takes her home, he tells her she has earned a spanking for her thoughts. Vicky still has problems and accuses Chef Rachel of having designs on Chef Saul. Rachel tells Saul he needs to make Vicky his little since she is his submissive. Will he? Will she accept being a little?
I enjoyed this story. I wish Vicky has as much faith in her as he does. Vicky was hesitant to be a little at the beginning of their relationship and Saul did not push it. Now he is thinking he should push her to see what happens. I liked that he notices what she does and what she likes. I appreciated that he started slow to give her a chance to acclimate to the little title. I liked that Vicky is willing to try despite her doubts that she is a little. When she figure it all out, I was glad the two could talk about it.
This is a fun and enjoyable read. I loved every page. Vicky is a character, putting herself down at work because things do not go her way. Acting like a spoilt brat and overthinking everything. Her mouth gets her in trouble. Saul find her attitude frustrating and wants to put her in her place, but a previous conversation plays on his mind so he hesitates. A few choice words from a colleague make them both rethink their needs and allows Chef Daddy to come to play. A great read I thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.
No plot spoilers No potential triggers It's a kink based short story concerning her self discovery and contains some D/s DD/lg sex scenes so if the kink isn't your genre don't buy the book. If it is your genre you would probably enjoy the book. The characterisation isn't the best but it's enough to keep you turning the pages. The plotline is a bit thin and is solely used as a vehicle for the relationship.
This is a cute little story that skirts the edge of age play but never descends into diapers and bottle. I am glad because I really dislike age play and think if it is featured that should show in the book description. Many books with Daddy in the title don’t feature really young littles so it is hard to avoid just be titles alone. I enjoyed this but it was too short to become a compelling and emotionally absorbing read.
This cute little novella follows Saul and Vicky both work in the same kitchen with Saul the head chef and Vicky as his baker who was struggling with her creativity in the weekly special contest, and with her attitude brings out the daddy in Saul that Vicky was missing. I quite liked this novella and I’ve always enjoyed many of this authors book and this one didn’t disappoint…
Entertaining confection. An enjoyable novella as one would expect from Golden Angel. Vicky is a pastry chef who is fed up with always losing the weekly restaurant baking competition even though her boyfriend Saul is the Executive Chef. Saul attempts to raise her spirits by administering spankings as a Dom but as this does not work he decides to change tactics and become what he really is - a Daddy Dom. Will Vicky accept the change? It makes for a really entertaining read.
Short and sweet and ever so spicy romance. The weekly competition in the kitchen is stressing our heroine. Despite being a brilliant baker, she never wins even though one of the judges is her boyfriend, Chef Saul. Saul is also a Daddy Dom although she has resisted being a Little. Will changing the rules at home make things better at work? Golden Angel never fails, and there's even a life lesson in this bite-sized delight.
I don't like third person point of view normally, but this was easy to read through. A good amount of steamy content.
My only gripe with third person is it feels more detached from the characters, and that's how this one felt for me. I feel like when it's first person, you can get more detailed and really feel what the characters are feeling.
But overall, it was decent, had a fairly good story to follow along with and character growth!
I really liked the storyline. Not the typical Ddlg as she didn’t think she was a Little. I too love to bake, so really enjoyed the competition between coworkers. Saul and Vicky have some awesome sizzling moments, in and out of the kitchen. Might have been neat, for the Author, to include a recipe or two.
I absolutely loved this short story! Vicky and Saul are already in a relationship when it starts, so there’s no silly insta-love. Instead they are dealing with making a change to their relationship, which is incredibly relatable. The story was told well and the sexy times were incredibly sexy. Without giving anything away I thought the ending was perfect!
A scrumptious Chef Daddy, of course I want my own.
Saul is such a sweet and caring man. Has already found his baby girl, but she's not ready for the Daddy that he is. After some issues in the kitchen Chef Daddy finally takes her in hand. Gah. It was full of sweetness and love, with just the perfect amount of bratty. Loved Saul!
Saul is one hot Chef Daddy! He knows how to handle Vicky, his little girl. The weekly baking competition has affected Vicky’s confidence in her baking. Her poor attitude is affecting her work and their Homelife. Saul is more than happy to set his little girl straight! Great steamy lunchtime read!
I love how these 2 characters come together. I met them in the book with Hayleigh and Connor at Rawhide Ranch and loved them instantly. This filled in some of the blanks left after reading the other first. And I especially feel like I have a sneak peek since I know how the other book ends, as well. Great couple and wonderful story!
This was a very enjoyable novella with Vicky our awesome pastry chef struggling to compete in the kitchen competition. Knocking her confidence stepping in is her boyfriend/boss/dom who helps her to work through her challenges and realise her potential while discovering what there needs are to maintain a healthy relationship.
Though this short story doesn’t give us much background on any of the characters Saul and Vicky take us for a sexy romp. I liked that the “Daddy” Dom play is not over the top, more of a need to take care of Vicky. Lots of angst adds to the romantic relationship and pulls at your heartstrings.
