Oh this book! I second chance romance. Once college sweethearts Barbara was the one for Cal but she broken his heart. Fifteen years later their paths cross again and Cal wants his second chance. A sexy, steamy read that you won't be able to put down. Loved it.

Gave this 2nd chance CR 2.5 stars. Molly stole the story
for what it was worth.
Cal was a retired 3rd baseman, now in banking. Cal &
Barbara had been college sweethearts. Once reunited,
they had frequent sex, but I lost interest. It felt too much
the same. (Both MCs were divorced from spouses way
before their reunion. )
Twice Barb (1x in college, 1x 15 yrs later) accused Cal
of putting his pro baseball career ahead of her. I liked him
better than her. 34 YO Barb seemed too old to just now
be learning how to compromise. The ending felt in-
complete.

The book is a good romance read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry. The story is an enjoyable second chance romance read.

Irony finds a sense of humor and discovers that it's all heart. Once Removed takes a stroll down the road less traveled. Gallagher turns what if into maybe, baby. Cal and Barbara are a contradiction of delightfully, flawed and unpredictably wonderful. A life lesson worth listening to.

I'm a sucker for second chance and baseball romances so this book was right up my alley! I loved Cal and Barb so much! It was like they never broke up and they grew so much throughout this book. I loved how despite being loved by the family, Barb had to still deal with the verbal abuse by her ex, that's not the part I loved, the past was how because of Cal and her friends, she was able to stand up to that idiot and tell him exactly what she thought. She grew a backbone and it was fabulous to see! Minus the ex, the characters in this book were hilarious and truly loved Cal and Barb. It was great to see them interact with their friends and family. They may have broken up due to grief and baseball opportunities but I believe it was the right thing to do. These two grew up and learned how much they cared about each other,even though the horrible marriages they both had, it brought them back to each other. I loved this book so much!

Another amazing addition to the Carolina Waves series. This book follows Cal and Barbara and their second chance at love.
Once college sweethearts, their past ended on a not so great note. Cal was drafted to a baseball team and Barbara had other plans that didn't include following him around to the games and the life it brings.
Reconnecting after an unexpected meeting, Barb and Cal try to find their way back to each other for good.
A cute sports second chance romance. Fun and entertaining. I love reading each of these stories and the ties ins they habe to the previous book. The characters are fun and enjoyable. 5/5

I love Cal and .barb so much ... They was past love and been apart for the last 15 years both during that time hard rough divorces.. barb still still need to endure her ex talk abussive to her ..love that they get to me and seem thAt it like nothing change Between them has change much cal remember her favourite this like when they wa together.. love how they get to know Each other again while she injured.. but after she no will they jump at it again cause the chemistry is there but there one thing the pull them apart before was baseball will it again ...it a must read ..hurry and read it you won’t regret

I stayed up late reading as I could not put it down!!
This author always writes sports romance drama, that have great engaging characters with hot passion between them, and this is no exception. I stayed up late reading as I could not put it down. I loved this one, and consider it a 5 star story. This is a well written story which is drama filled and with all the feels and has baseball, sweetness, passion and romance. I cannot wait to read more from this author. Happy reading everyone!!

Once Removed is the ultimate second chance love story. Cal and Barbara are brought together again the only way fate can. Cal’s life is not where he thought he would be but when Barbara falls back into his life, he knows she's the one that should have always been with him.
I loved Barbara’s circle of family and her ex is absolutely deserving of the life he now has. Cal has just as great of a family and the only one missing has been Barbara. I loved the baseball element and the support these two are for one another. Beautiful and fun to read.

Loved Cal and Barb’s story. They were college sweethearts until Cal signed a contract to play baseball. Barb had a major loss and broke up with Cal.
After many years they run into each other again. Barb is injured and Cal takes care of her when he can. They once again start dating and finally get their HEA.
Loved all the books I. This series and can not wait for Dale’s story.

Second chances are rare these days and this book shows how you can always get that second chance romance! I loved this book. It was so cute, but also extremely romantic and somewhat heartbreaking. I was hoping for an extended epilogue into the future, but overall it was an excellent read! Great for lovers of sports romances!

Baseball and Romance!!!!! I absolutely LOVE this series! Cal and Barbra's story was fantastic! I knew once I started this book I wouldn't be able to put it down. I can't wait to see what Ms. Gallagher will come out with next!

The book has awesome characters that are well developed and engaging and the chemistry I undeniable throughout the pages. The storyline flowed smoothly from beginning to the end.

If you love second chance romances and baseball, this is the perfect book for you. If you aren't a huge fan of the baseball stuff, you should still give this one a shot, as there isn't a lot of baseball, but there are references and the hot guy is a former player. Cal and Barbara dated for 3 years in college, but once he was drafted and Barb lost her mother, she broke up with him. She always knew he was the one she let get away, so imagine her surprise when she is about to give a huge presentation to a bank for a loan, and in walks Cal. Is this fate stepping in and taking over because they should have never broken up? Cal steps up literally right away since Barb broke her ankle and he rode in the ambulance to the hospital with her. This is the start of them talking and getting to know each other again, but honestly it was much like they never stopped. Will Cal and Barbara become a couple? I loved how having Cal back in her life seemed to renew Barb's outlook on life and she got a backbone and started saying things back to the jerk of an ex-husband she has. I am loving this series and all of the characters. They are so awesome, and I always look forward to reading the next. It's always great to reconnect with characters from another book. This is part of a series, and can be read as a standalone, but I would advise reading them in order. Of course I still need to read book 1, as I started with Book 2....so I'm off to get Book 1. Enjoy.

This is the third book in the Carolina Waves series but can be read as a stand alone. How can you not love a second chance baseball romance?? Although it has less to do with actual baseball and more to do with a now prematurely retired baseball phenom who is stuck actually using that degree he chose out of a hat to pursue while waiting for the big league contract to happen. Unhappy in his current banking job he just so happens to stumble into a meeting and get the surprise of his life. His college sweetheart standing at the other end of the table ready to conduct the presentation. Barbara is shocked to see her former love, the guy who she let get away. She's since been married, divorced and now works for her former mother in law and unfortunately still has to deal with her cheating ex on a semi regular basis. When she lays eyes on Cal again old feelings resurface and she can't help but fall for him all over again. This is a sweet yet steamy love story in which you'll see two people who are perfect for each other find both love and themselves again. Tina Gallagher always writes books that leave you with a sense of love, hope and happiness once you've finished. I can't wait to see what she writes next!!

Calvin and Barbara were college sweet hearts till he was drafted and her mother died. She was so alone that she broke up with Cal and hasn’t seen him in 15 years. Then one meeting with another company changed that. At first sight for both of them was a shock, but in a good way. At the end of the meeting Barb was packing up when gate happened. She is in bed rest for 6 weeks and slowly gets to know Cal again. Cal had an accident and that caused him to retire sooner than he hoped. As they take to dating again there is her ex husband that works where she does and isn’t making it easy for her. Cal is head over heels in love with Barb and she with him, until over hearing that he might take a job with a baseball team and be on the road again. She runs, but will she come back? Will their love work this time around? Great book.

Barb and Cal were in love when they were in college. They went in different directions when he was drafted and she decides not to follow along. They reconnect 15 years later when a lot has happened in both of their lives separately but what has not happened is the fact that they still have feelings for one another and still have strong chemistry. As they spend time together they have to decide if they will work to stay together or let things draw them apart again.

I enjoyed Barbara and Cal's story. It's a nice steamy second chance and sport romance. It is a stand alone story with wonderful characters. In college Cal and Barbara were sweet hearts, however she lost her mom and broker off their relationship. Breaking both their hearts. Fifteen years later they end up in a meeting together. The attraction and chemistry still strong. Both divorced and things start growing and developing between them. Then he gets an offer, will it come between them? This is a good story that is nicely developed and well written.

This was such a great read! Cal and Barbara meet again years faster they broke up and you can feel the chemistry between them as Cal woos Barbara again. It is so sweet that they reconnect and can feel their emotions as they work through past hurts and current obstacles. The book has some steamy parts, angst and lots and lots of romance. This was an entertaining story that I would read again!

Once Removed: Carolina Waves is Book 3 in this series by Tina Gallagher. I love second chance romance. Calvin and Barbara were college sweethearts. Barbara wanted more from Calvin and she felt like she wasn't going to get is so she broke ip with him. 15 years later of all the places to see each other again but in a big presentation she is doing. These 2 get a second chance at falling in love again. Loved it.

I love that this was a sequel but could easily be read as a standalone novel. I fell in love with each and every protagonist in all of the novels. I believe the game of baseball was portrayed accurately. How could a reader not be in love with each of the novels when all you could do is smile? Three terrific novels!!!!!!!

Great characters that will keep your interest extremely well.

I love a good second chance romance and this one does not disappoint. Barbara and Cal are great characters and have a fabulous story to tell. This was well written and keeps you invested from start to finish. Ups, downs, ex husband drama, sexiness and interesting secondary characters make for a great read!! Don't miss out on this one!

This is my first book by this author but it definitely won’t be my last. I throughly enjoyed every single second of this book. Once I started reading I could not put it down. OMG the main characters are sweet and easy to love. They are perfect for each other. I wanted to read about their life together a little more at the end but all in all this is a fantastic read and I highly recommend it.

I loved this story of Barbara and Cal. They found a second chance at love after being apart for 15 years. I love their relationship and how tender Cal was with her. It was fantastic watching her regain her confidence in herself. Together they were stronger. Fantastic writing. Looking forward to the next book.

This was a great sports second chance romance read about Cal and Barbara. This book had all the yummy feels. Loved how they met 15 years later and were able to pick up were they left off. They both had feelings for each other and were able to talk it out and resolve past hurt and issues. Loved this story and I can't wait to read more.
