well the name of this is Too late obiously and it all began with a boy name Matt, he didn't really care if he was late to classes and he had a girlfriend name Sue they were dating for like 6 weeks,so he invited her on a date with him and she said yes so then on a friday night he was supposed to pick her up at her house but he was late by 30minutes and she got upset and told him "next time your late, its over between us" but he didn't really believe it because they really liked each other and well the next day he saw Sue at her locker and she was still mad at him and she wasent planning on going back out with him, she didn't even wanna talk to him and when she saw him she shut her locker and walked off...Matt was late to Mrs.Brent's class and it was not his first time it was actually his 2nd time so he had to stay with her after school for 30minutus,Coach Karr. didn't wanna give him a late pass, if he would've gave Matt that pass then he wouldn't have to stay with Mrs.Brents after school, okay so it was a friday night again and Sue was waiting for Matt at her house again and he was late again but this time for 20mins, so she got mad and broke up with him,Matt is gonna be the starting pitcher for Hillman game.He was so exited and couldn't wait. Matt forgot his sicence book in his locker and he needed it to study for science test, so Coach Karrtold him to hurry up or he would leave withouth him and wouldn't be able to play in the game, Matt didn't hurry up and the coach left without him. that was pretty much everything that happen in this book. I think this book is meant for lazy kids and who don't like school, and don't really care about anything.

Matt has a problem being on time for class or for dates. The story is very easy to read for low level Jr. High or High School students. It isn't terrible, I would probably give it 2.5 stars if I could, but it is not nearly as good as some of the other hi/lo books I have read. Orca Soundings come to mind. The students at my ELL school do read these books, and I would recommend them for a very l reading level student. I think the Carter High Mysteries are quite a bit better as well.

This book was mainly about how a boy named Matt has troubles finding his own way to anything, like class, but seems to always be late to everything, but for him it is not a big idea.He is late for a date with his girlfriend two times, and late to class more than two times.
