Unsanctioned Asset #5

A Team of Five

Rate this book
Danger lurks in the shadows.
From the outside, America looks safe and secure. But those on the inside know the truth. Friends can be enemies… and enemies friends. Uncovering threats is only half the battle. Knowing who to trust is the rest.

On a mission far from home, “Axe” and the team face an enemy they never dreamed of.

While at the Central Analysis Group headquarters, physical scars heal more easily than damage to the soul.
Working together, the team is stronger than ever. But America’s hidden enemies have more money, more power, and a growing desperation.

The warriors and analysts face a world filled with surprises, feints, and deceit.

Where facts are hard to come by.
And one wrong move means exposure… or death.

The stakes couldn’t be higher for “Axe,” Haley, “Mad Dog”, “Johnboy,” and the newest member of the team.

As a kid, I wanted to be a writer. After several fun careers, I've finally realized that dream.

It's both easier and more difficult than I thought it would be. When the words are flowing, it's miraculous. I feel like I'm taking dictation, typing the words that are meant to be written.

When the ideas don't come, I go for a run, think about what I would love to read, then start again.

Little by little, stories take shape, characters get into trouble, work their way out, and a book gets written.

Now, with over 17,000 5-star reviews of my books, I feel incredibly blessed that people enjoy my stories.

We also have a fun community on Facebook at AuthorBradLee. I post progress reports of my writing projects plus other fun stuff. Please join us if you're around.

When not writing, I'm an avid hiker and photographer. I love getting out in nature to take pictures.

Another real good book

I'm not sure about others, but I dislike being told that I have to write a minimum amount of words for my review to be posted. That being said, this has been a very enjoyable book. I look forward to reading his next book, keep them coming.

and the beat goes on...

another one! yay! brad lee works hard to imagineer scenarios that certainly seem plausible and then spins his magic tool boxes until he sits back, smiles, and breathes long enough to envision at least a bunch of lowercase chapters written in pencil that will sooner or later come out in inked exclamation marks! to which we fans say, "more please!" this is the fifth book in this hit-em hard series of a couple of teams linked by a twenty-oner who must be brilliant and is also the sitting President's goddaughter and adopted niece, so top drawer protections and provisions, yes? of course... that she's drop dead gorgeous gets very little play but must be a stumper for the Seals who adopt her and train her to become one of the team. a team that grows from two to four and on to six. and counting. compelling reading. fun stuff. no gratuitous sex, very little profanity, but lots of dead people who frequently lose their heads over each mission's dedicated professionalism. I's get dotted and T's get crossed and you as the reader get served a scrumptious thriller every time. only one way to ring out though...

Welcome Brad Lee fans! If you’re not, best to start with A Team of One and work through each story by the numbers.
The plots are always intriguing, contemplative and action packed. This offering was no exception.
What I enjoy about Lee’s series is how he seamlessly brings in new characters and continues to develop them. While Axe and Haley still are central, other Team members are getting their share of the action.
Two plots emerge here, yet don’t really come together. Axe goes from hunter to prey, and back again and again. Haley goes from analyst to field operator and back again and again.
If you read the others you can expect this formula.
But it’s still a fun ride. The additions to the Team and the development of some minor characters to major ones are satisfactory and even satisfying.

I got mine through ScoutsTales.com. Good prices, fast delivery. And the store is opening soon!

Too Many Black Hats, Not Enough White Hats
This book is the fifth in a series that really needs to be read in order. The plots build upon each other with overreaching story arcs and timelines. Our good guys are a clandestine group of security personnel for the Federal Government and their group of field agents. This book has at least 5 different plots happening in sequence which leads to a final denoument. I like that these are exciting adventures that are not easy to figure out and keep your heart pounding. These books are also clean! There is no bad language, no on-screen intimacy, or excessive gore. There is violence, but no unnecessary details. I have read these books in order and will now read the last book in the series, so far!

Good read

I liked most of the story, but the role of Stef was a little out there for me. I'd think someone that was smart enough to build a muli billion dollar company would be a little more proficient in his approach in going after the competition. And Caesar was guilty of causing a coup and since he was supplying the government with weapons should been held accountable. But I guess that's how the real world works!

Another great story

I really like the way the story develops and also how the characters come to life, especially the bad guys.
Really looking forward to the next book in the series.
Always riveting and exciting to the very end. Axe & Haley work so well together.
Keep up the good work Brad.

As the threat increases more on ground boots are needed to counter recon efforts .The multitude of units must be all places to put the stop out.

This adventure does just that with no holds barred to compete each task. As each threat is addressed more good guy's are recruited to fill the battle plan.

A fantastic thriller series

As the exploits continue to grow, they also become increasingly more dangerous for this motley crew as they attempt to save the USA from foreign and domestic enemies. It's certainly not a story or series to be missed!
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.

To be well organized helps if the team gets separated.

Another great read. Actual so much going on you can hardly break for lunch for fear of losing the mystery. This team works well together. They back each other up to keep them safe. Again this story was full of drama and with so much going on people get lost but the team bring them back to focus.

International intrigue; all characters accounted for

Human nature can be so ruthless, fickle, self serving, and reckless, regardless of national affiliation or social status. The good guys/gals can be tempted to relinquish their morals and ethics, but ultimately stay focused. I am glad I read books 1 through 4 in sequence which helped understand book 5.

Saving the World

The team continues to save the world, sometimes more than one crisis at a time. New members bring a share of skill and no small amount of crazy...battling cartels, Russians and Iranians. It might be close this time.

AGAIN

Once again, I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it's characters and settings.

Unfortunately, it was again riddled with typos and repetitive speech. I would suggest a more thorough proofreader regards

Great writing!

Extremely interesting story that was kind of crazy considering that billionaires should have more interesting and demanding things going on but it kept me turning pages.

The author has an amazing ability to write about situations that are far out and make them great stories. Imagine the two richest billionaires competing to overthrow governments!
