During the week after spring break Al Breaks up with Bel because he has a new girlfriend, and Bel's best friend Paz breaks up with Juan because she wants to date Cruz. Bel is upset that Al won't look at her or speak to her any more. She doesn't want to eat lunch with anyone or even date anyone new, but she agrees to go out with Juan and decides to try to enjoy the end of her senior year. This is a typical teen problem. Characters are polite, generally thoughtful, and mostly good role models for how to handle similar situations. The vocabulary is very easy, the book is illustrated, has lots of repetition, and is only 48 pages long. My middle schoolers who need extra reading support like this Carter High series.

For myself, It was vary original about fixing dating with someone. This book it's talking from girl and problem with he boyfriends, they did talk with small number for her friends. But later, her want to be friends again because it "time to move on". There is few twist to beginning to end, but also it vary easier to read for teen who was problem words.

I did enjoy to read, but i was not expecting this dating fixing to read. I was expecting to be "Time to Move on" Places or new adventure to move forward. Well, I did enjoy to read!

I was drawn into the plot of Bel, a high schooler whose boyfriend is now dating someone else, trying to move on. I think this could be a good independent reading choice for my high school ELLs who struggle to read at grade level.

The book that I read was, Time To Move On, by Eleanor Robins . I would recommend this book to my friends and family because it is about a teenage girl, like myself, gaining self confidence during her high school years. The main character is Belinda. She is dating a boy at her high school named Al. Belinda goes out of town to visit her aunt, who is sick. When she comes back and returns to school, Al breaks up with her. Bel feels really bad about herself because Al broke up with her to date a prettier girl at Carter High. After struggling for a few weeks with her self-confidence, a boy named Juan asked her out on a date to the movies. Bel was scared to go on a date with someone else after what had happened with Al, however, she went and had a great time! She realized that it was time for her to move on and that she was good enough for someone. The book showed that even when you feel that you are at your lowest of lows, you can always find your way back to happiness. It is important not to focus on the negative things that happened in the past, if you do you might not get to experienc happiness in the future!
