Can a powerful warlock from an original line be everything a broken shifter needs to heal?
Benjamin Ward loves seeing his fellow enforcers find their fated mates. He wants that and has made it no secret that he would love someone to cherish and spend his life with. When his aura reacts to the adorable cutie cooking, his heart hurts when he realizes who his fated One is and what he’s been through. Benjamin takes a step back and tries to give the fox shifter space and time to accept him, but will it be enough?
Elias Holmes had an amazing life, but that was taken from him when he was kidnapped one morning on his way to work. After months in captivity, he’s rescued with not much time left before he and the others would have been beyond help. Now that he’s no longer in captivity, it’s time to put his life back together. That’s difficult when the mountain is surrounded by large, intimidated alphas that scare both him and his fox.
Benjamin and Eli discover they’re fated mates, but can Eli be what Benjamin deserves? Benjamin isn’t nearly as intimidating as the other enforcers, and he smells amazing. Can Eli trust him with not only his body but his heart?
Benjamin is Book Six in the Paranormal Council Enforcers series. Each book in this series will focus on a different couple, but these books are not standalones and should be read in order as there is an ongoing backstory that won’t be resolved quickly. This is a fated mate story in an MPreg world, and there will be babies in this story. You should expect all the normal shenanigans, heats, biting, and remember that sometimes even fated mates need a little help.
Back when I was hate reading the warlocks of Amherst series I couldn't have imagined looking forward to a Taylor Rylan book, yet here we are. I was pretty pleased with it, you can see Taylor improving on narration in each book. They way the romance was combined with the subplot was good. The way Eli's trauma is handled (and not just pushed under the rug or forgotten) was good, and I liked that while Eli heals it doesn't mean everything is magically perfect as if the trauma hadn't happened. I also liked to see Ben struggle with his own feelings, it gives a good balance to the relationship and adds a bit extra je ne sais quoi that simply works. I'm pretty excited to see what Rainier will bring. Taylor has been doing a really good job with this series, and I hope it keeps up.
I have been a huge Benjamin fan since we first met him what feels like many books ago. He is always there lending a helping hand to anyone who needs one, works really hard for the enforcers saving those in need and has enthusiastically cheered on all his friends (including a friend with benefits) when they found their fated mates. Fate has finally decided it’s his turn to find his One! Eli is a very sweet and traumatized fox shifter who was rescued at the same time as Chase from horrific circumstances, and he has spent the past year since that rescue working hard with his therapist to heal. Benjamin is a beautiful soul and there couldn’t have been a better choice for Eli than him. There is so much romance in this book, they totally made me swoon. This is NOT meant to be read as a standalone. I am here for the long-haul, especially after that ending!!! I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Loved this one too very much. Bemjamin was diferent than the other alphas in the sense that he isn't an alpha so he doesn't those insane protective and possessive traits. He's basically normal. I liked that about this story. Elias had been through a lot and the way he was working through it was remarkable. The way they were together was so good. They both listened to the others needs and were there if the other needed it. 4,5 stars for sure
This is a paranormal romance, the sixth book in the “Council Enforcers” series that should be read in order. This is one of six interconnected series, see the author to know which order. This was a munch better book than the last one. I like the dynamic of the healing in the mating relationship. The overarching plot continues onward in this book.
Another great read by Taylor Rylan. Benjamin, a warlock and is an Enforcer with the Paranormal Council. Eli, a fox shifter find each other. I’m glad that Benjamin has finally found his mate, after helping rescue traff*cked omegas, and seeing many of his fellow Enforcers find their mates. When Benjamin’s aura reacts to the absolute cutie cooking, he’s realised that he’s finally found his one after so long. His heart hurts when he realised that his mate Eli was rescued by Atticus awhile back, and he’s absolutely terrified of Alphas which is completely understandable considering everything he’s been through. Benjamin takes a step away and allows his mate some space to process everything as he doesn’t want his mate to have to bond with him in such a short time. Warlock’s have only a few days after meeting their mate to claim them, otherwise they’ll be in so much pain that it’ll eventually destroy them. Wow, Eli was so brave coming to see Benjamin and talking about their mating. I thought Benjamin and Eli were great together, and their chemistry was completely off the charts, as well as hot as hell. Especially when they claimed each other, and they switched things up a bit.
All I can say is that their twins were absolutely adorable. Benjamin was a total softy where Eli and their sons were concerned. I’m glad that Benjamin stormed out of the Council meeting about Atticus, Damien and the new hellhounds going to the demon realm, which means that it could be a one way trip. Benjamin wasn’t happy about Atticus’s mate Brice being left behind. It showed how loving and caring Benjamin is, and that he didn’t want for his friends to lose each other. It also made the Council think things through more before sending them. I wish this book had a bit more action an adventure but still a great read. I really want to know what the mysterious presence is on the mountain that protects pregnant omegas. I’m glad that Taylor said that this series is going to be quite long, as I’d happily read as many books that Taylor chooses to write, especially from this universe. I’ve already pre-ordered Raiden’s book and I’m looking forward to reading it when it’s released in April. I’m still hoping Ramsey (Raiden’s twin), Damien’s, Knox (Luc’s brother), Alexander (Everett’s cousin), and maybe the new hellhounds get their happily ever afters as well. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.
I think at this point these are starting to get predictable. Once again, Benjamin was acting like all the other Alphas in this series once he found his mate. I honestly wasn't very invested in this relationship from the start. I haven't really liked Elias all that much and that didn't really change throughout this book. It feels like none of the characters have any personality and if they do, that personality is volatile. The whole thing with his parents was just awkward and weird too and I wasn't exactly sure why we were having all these emotions. It didn't seem like Elias's parents acted too intense or anything to me.
I appreciated the fact that the author didn't erase his trauma after they mated; often times with these kinds of books, after the heat period, the survivor often feels much better about intimacy to the point where nothing triggers them anymore. That was not the case here. We still see Elias and Ben struggle with where Elias's boundaries are after they mated. The random mountain lion felt a bit unnecessary. It was only a plot device to jump start labor, but they could have left it out, especially since they ended up killing the mountain lion for no reason. We know it wasn't a shifter, but why kill it if it was just wandering outside it's domain? Why would someone send a regular mountain lion to stalk Eli? It makes no sense. I felt bad for the mountain lion more than I did for Eli.
What really bothered me was the continuing plot. We've got the hellhounds, who found two more of their kind somewhere, going back to hell to get Mervin (which is the least intimidating name for a demon ever). This plan is told to us without any build up and no details. There is apparently a box and a rock they have to put next to the demon king? And portals? I was confused and thought I missed something in another book from one of the other connected series, but nope. We don't even get to see what happens in the hell realm, just that they somehow return about a week later with a teenage hellhound named Ansel who was shackled somewhere down there. No more details. We don't get to know what happened to Mervin, or the box, or the rock. It was like background info, but it seemed pretty important. It also seemed like a really extreme thing to happen and then not address properly. I was very confused about this being the ending of this book since it didn't fit with the rest of it at all. But overall, I had bigger hopes for Ben's book.

Ben and Eli were adorable but I have so many questions!
This was another great addition to the Paranormal Council series. Ben had been wanting his one for so long and seeing how much he longed for his mate when other enforcers found theirs was hard. He was so happy for them but so wistful. I will admit I was surprised with how he handled finding his mate but I think it worked in the sense that no matter what, you never know how you’re going to deal with something until it happens. Realising Eli was his mate was definitely intense (not because Eli wasn’t an amazing person to be mates to but because of how warlock matings work). Once the initial panic was dealt with I loved how sweet Benjamin was with Eli. Although I did find it really funny when he thought to himself that he wasn’t all Alpha and super overprotective; there was some real denial going on there haha. Eli was such a cutie. I love that he was kind to himself. He had moments of self-criticism and doubt but h really did work on accepting his needs and how he was feeling. Plot wise, beyond Ben and Eli’s mating, I have so many questions. So many. I’m trying to be good and not want the next book immediately but it’s hard! I am really looking forward to seeing more about the gargoyles - I love them as a paranormal and I’m really looking forward to learning how Taylor’s gargoyles work. Plus Raiden is a total cutie in my view so I’m super excited.
I’ve been eagerly waiting for warlock Benjamin to find his One and I was not disappointed. Fox shifter Eli surely has some very traumatic events in his past that he his still coming to terms with but with Benjamin by his side his future becomes so much brighter. Benjamin shows such compassion, patience and understanding towards Eli and his triggers. My heart broke for Eli and what he’d been through but it also warmed watching him gain confidence with his fated mate backing him all the way.
There’s plenty of steamy times as well as tender moments and so many feels in this heartwarming fated mates romance. I loved every moment from start and finish and because it resonated with me it was a one sitting read. The author has stated that this will be a king series and I’m here for it!
This can’t be read as a standalone as the overall story arc continues.
I'm loving these books by Taylor and somehow they keep getting better. Benjamin finally find his Beloved in Elias, the little fox shifter that was rescued by Atticus, which gives Benjamin cause to proceed to claim him. The Fates know how to pair, don't they, and Elias seems to be perfect for the enforcer. They work out their problems and soon Elias is pregnant with twins, same as Chase. At the end Atticus is going back to demon land in the hope to find the one who has been causing so much trouble. But when the group returns they brought someone with them. And that is the cliff hanger this book ends with. Cheeky, and not something Taylor usually does. However, the next in series will be here soon and I can't wait.

Benjamin is the sixth book in the Paranormal Council Enforcers series. This series must be read in order as there is a lot over crossovers with previous characters and couples. Benjamin and Eli were so perfect for one another, and I was so happy that they got their HEA! I’ve been eagerly waiting for Benjamin's turns and it was perfect. Eli is a sweet Omega fox shifter that was kidnapped but saved by the council. He’s going through a lot and is kind of scared of his own shadow. Benjamin comes form a powerful family and has lived a long time, he has a lot of patience and love for Eli. Overall, this was fantastic!! Well written with pacing that kept me reading long into the night!
Benjamin and Eli, are absolutely perfect!!! The patience, the true mates, the caring, loving way these 2 fated loves come together and overcome tragic circumstances and find such a beautiful, wonderful, amazing love is absolutely AWESOME!!! I did not want this story to end...and of course, it won't but, the pages did for this story and I LOVED IT!!! From their awesome love to a nail-biting shocker, and then a holding-your-breath cliffhanger, I WANT MORE OF THIS AMAZING STORY!!!! It is sooooo worth a read and reread many times, and well worth purchasing to have the book in your home library!!!!
Can a warlock's love mend a broken fox? Fate says Yes!
I love this series! To fully enjoy this book, please read the previous books in order. They are all wonderful. This world is unique. From the created ones to hellhounds to the Fates, whose job is bringing mates together, this world will amaze you. This book focuses on warlock Benjamin and his One, fox shifter Eli. Eli is recovering from kidnapping & sexual abuse. But Benjamin is patient. Get ready for lots of sexy times, family, good friends, Council Enforcer businesses, and adorable babies. I loved this book! You will to.
Ahhh yay I'm so happy Ben and Eli have finally found each other, I soo needed their story. Even though Ben was nervous about Eli being his One due to Eli's past he was so attentive, sweet and amazing with Eli. I have loved Eli since he was introduced and I just wanted to blanket him in a bid safe bubble, the way he overcome his stumbles was beautiful to see.
These two together was super sweet and honestly Taylor does an outstanding job in ever book in this series, I can wait for Raiden. I will say there is a tiny bit of a cliffhanger at the very end and I was like 'nooo I need the next book now' but it is not between the MC's.
The perfect pairing... and a continuing mystery, for good measure. I love this pairing... but I also love the substories around the romantic action, including the interactions between the enforcers, their romantic partners, and their bosses... Taylor Rylan has created this amazing world and we get to see ot unfold around us. Benjamin and Eli makes such a great couple. They are both a little bit wary... but with a little help from those around them, this warlock and fox are ready to face their future together. PS... I think the gargoyles are my new favorite shifters.... very loyal friends!
This was an enjoyable entry in the Paranormal Enforcers series…Eli has been an intriguing and sympathetic character ever since his introduction several books back. After having been rescued from horrendous circumstances, he has been taking the time he needs to heal. Benjamin, meanwhile, has been busy trying to protect those who find themselves under the reign of abusive alphas. When the two meet, both are worried about their ability to be the mate their other half needs, but both are equally committed to doing what is needed: communicating and compromising.
I absolutely loved this story! It had all things I look for in a book, fated mates, hurt/comfort, and an HEA. Benjamin and Elias are so wonderful together! The world building is second to none and just gets better with every book! I have read every book in this series and keep thinking that the next book can’t be better this one, but I’m wrong. Taylor Rylan just keeps giving us amazing stories!
I absolutely loved this latest story in the Paranormal Council Enforcers series. Such a sweet, feel good story about Elias (Eli) who was one of the one's rescued and Benjamin who is an counsel enforcer. They were so perfect for each other and I loved every second of their story. I laughed, cried and swooned during the hot steamy times. A fantastic story and I can't wait for more from this talented author. Well done!!!
I love this shared world. I was excited to see that this book has been released since I binge read every series related back in December. I really like how Benjamin and Eli quickly came together. Not all of the matings have been that lucky. I am glad that after several stories these two characters found their mate/one with each other. Can't wait for the next book to find what happened in the demon realm and our next fated pairing.
I loved the relationship dynamics here and also that we saw Eli's process of healing even after he mated with Benjamin.
Spoilers
My disappointment was that the big bad was taken care of completely off page. On top of that the explanation as to how was left completely unexplained. I am hoping that we get to know details soon. It's like a whole books worth of story got glossed over.

No spoilers of any kind included. So all I am going to say about Benjamin is I thought it was awesome. So yep you guessed it I am definitely going to recommend Benjamin to you, well actually I recommend the whole Paranormal Council Enforcers series because so far every book in it has been amazing and I’ve really enjoyed reading them and I think you will too.
I just couldn't be happier about this amazing addition. I have been waiting for both Benjamin and Eli's story I absolutely love it! These two are so perfect for each other. I just love how understanding Ben is for what Eli has been through. I just love this world that Taylor Rylan has created and I can't wait for the next story.
This is Book six in the Paranormal Council Enforcer's Book Series .
This was an enjoyable read I'm so happy that we finally get Benjamin and Eli's story . I was so happy when I found out that Eli was Benjamin's beloved they are perfect for each other . I'm definitely looking forward to what I'm gonna assume is Oscar's story can't wait .
The story is sweet with a supportive sire ensuring that his omega mate is comfortable and feeling safe, putting the control of their relationship in his omega's hands. While Eli feels he may never again be normal, Benjamin ensures that he knows how beautiful and strong he is. Quick read. Some angst with the hellhounds mission to the demon realm.
Eli is just so gosh darn sweet but he’s been through so much. My heart hurts for him & Benjamin both, the pain they both endure. But their happy ending is so beautiful & was definitely worth the wait. Taylor is amazing and I can’t get enough of her work. I can’t wait for Raiden’s book next. 😀❤️
Eli and Benjamin are such a cute couple. Eli was one of the shifters rescued from the omegas that had been stollen in New Orleans. Benjamin was there the night he was rescued, but never actually met Eli until one night he goes looking for Edison for a discussion. In the process he discovers that Eli is his mate, terrified that he'll scare Eli because of what Eli went through, he steps back to allow Eli time to come to terms with a mate.
Follow along as Eli and Benjamin figure put how to proceed without triggering Eli's memories of captivity.
Also learn more about some of the other creatures that make up the council and Enforcers.
I was so happy for Eli to get his mate :) Benjamin was the perfect mate for Eli so loving and caring. The mountain being is getting more intriguing in each book. I absolutely love this series and can’t wait for the next one already.
Eli was one of those rescued and he has been working on his healing. Benjamin has long wanted his One. As these two work through the issues that come up, their emotions for each other grow. As always, the flow of the story is on target and you will be kept immersed in the story.
