Je arogantný. Je to kretén. Nenávidím ho… aspoň si to myslím.

Teraz ho nenávidím... aspoň si to myslím.

I am a huge fan of Teagan Hunter's Text series and I'm so sad to see it end. Text Me Baby One More Time is the fourth and final book, and she ended it with a bang. I was anxious to see who this book was about and I have to say, I was a little surprised about who the hero was. If you've read the first three books you've met both the hero and heroine, but that's all you're going to get on that matter ;)

Captain and Bucky's story started long before present time. This is very much a second chance romance. Though it's a bit emotional, it's still so freaking funny. Bucky really brings out the best in Captain and made me see him in an entirely different light. Captain and Bucky start as friends, pen pals of sorts. They fall in love over texting and are both getting ready to start their first year of college. Bucky makes the decision to travel to where Captain is to go to college. When she gets there, things do not go as planned.

It's been years, and now hot shot Captain is back in town. Bucky has done her best to avoid him all this time, but there is no avoiding him now.... I loved this couple together. They truly bring the best out in each other and I loved that. The hero was most definitely remediable and I loved the heroine to pieces. It was great seeing some of characters of the previous books as well.

I love these books so much. They make me laugh out loud, make me feel, and leave me with a warm heart and the biggest smile on my face. This review is a little short and sweet, as I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but I can't recommend it enough for lovers of rom-coms and second chance romances!

I have sooooo many issues with this book. I'll start with the good stuff:

Snappy dialogue, which is this author's trademark...

And that's about it, folks.

Let me count the ways this books didn't work for me, even tho the last one I read DID.
https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

1) The H of this book is a real asshole from Book 1. Delia and Zach's book:
https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
And unfortunately, the BIG drama at the end had to do with the drama from book 1 which I felt was contrived and made me dislike the h. So I did NOT need that reminder!

2) The H had sex with the h of book 2. Zoe and Caleb's book:
https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
This close knit group is becoming a little disgusting for my taste - everyone sleeping with everyone else. OK, just these 2 but still. And Zoe had a big crush on H and he was a huge asshole to her too, which prompted an event that "made" him do something bad to the h of Book 1.

3) Per above, there's just too much STUPID angst in these books! With the exception of my fave of the lot, book 3, Monty and Robbie. They're the only ones I don't have an issue with. Things that get blown out of proportion. Stupid, crap behavior that can all be forgiven and forgotten.

Which brings me to point 4:

4) We began this book with H about to take a "stripper" home to have random sex with bc OMG, he hadn't had sex with a vagina in 1 month. ONE month!! And this was AFTER he determined he'd turn over a new leaf and wouldn't have random meaningless sex any more. So I disliked the H right off the bat. And then suddenly! He sees the h, his long lost love, and totally changes on a dime.

I don't buy it! It's like Jekyl and Hyde with Shepard. And while I get that an asshole could be Mr. Right for the right girl, he's still an asshole. I've known those type of guys. I don't like them in real life and I sure as hell don't like them in my romance novels!!

Now, if the author had peppered somewhere in the first 3 books some IOTA of goodness in this H, I might have felt his dramatic transformation was a bit more believable. But I don't

5) it's really repetitive at this point. The texting. The personalities all blend together. The cute pet prop.

6) Really low on the hot sex scenes. Chemistry is meh.

I might still read another one of her books bc 1) it's just junk food reading for me, never to be read again, 2) it's on KU so it's "FREE." Perfect for junk food reading.

But man, I just don't care for this H AT ALL!!! I don't care how he's "reformed"!!

Another great rom-com from Teagan Hunter

I have loved all of the Text based rom-coms so far. The main character in this book is Shepherd who was the jerk brother of Zack from “Let’s Get Textual” when he dumped Delia’s friend Zoe after one night and Delia was giving him grief about it on Thanksgiving, so he did something pretty low to get back at Delia.

In this book, he meets Denver via text messaging when his best friend, A.J., who he knows from summers at baseball camp is planning to ask his sweetheart Allie to marry him. Shep lives across the country so he enlists the help of Denver who is Allie’s best friend. They start a text message friendship that turns into more from there.

“Hey, Captain.” Denny beams his way.
“Ah, Bucky, I didn’t realize that was you. I was about to hit my panic button. I don’t have these plates in the books.”
My breath hitches. Captain America and Bucky. She’s supposed to be my Bucky, not his.

This book is similar to the other three books and the characters from those books make appearances in this book, but it isn’t necessary to read any of those books first. It is a true stand alone. But if you haven’t read those books, I suggest you do. They are pretty awesome! All these books are funny, sweet, romantic and steamy. I just can’t get enough of them.

4.5 Stars. There’s a thin line between love and hate. Shep and Denver have a history and it’s rooted in friendship and love, then it becomes something else. Shep is a hero that has made many mistakes but I really liked the opportunity we got to get to know the man behind the selfish actions. He definitely had some growth to go through and it certainly isn’t an easy path for him. Denver was very naive in some ways and I found her perspective endearing. She was an interesting heroine and I loved getting to know her and the way she loved Shep.

The writing was excellent. There were plenty of tender and sexy moments complimented by hilarious exchanges. All in all another enjoyable read.

I honestly don’t think Shep redeemed himself, and I didn’t really care for Denver’s character either. The guy legit stole and spread nudes of his brother’s girlfriend because he was petty and jealous. He was a huge asshole, broke the heroine’s heart, and yeah he “changed,” but I don’t think he did enough to earn forgiveness from the heroine or his brother/brother’s gf.

Well, smack my ass and call me Judy! I’m kicking myself for not picking this series sooner! Text Me Baby One More Time by Teagan Hunter is the fourth book and final book in the Text Me series of intertwined standalones, and I’m telling you right now—I’m going to go back to the beginning and read all of them!

The Captain returns and he’s determined to win Bucky back for good. He’ll pull out all the stops to make her realize they’re meant to be. God, did Captain mess up the first time around, and through “past” chapters filled with all their texts, you learn their backstory and why Bucky hates him so much.

This second chance rom-com is freakin’ hilarious and had me laughing out loud so many times. Add in many swoonworthy moments, and it’s a win-win.

“Stop being so sexy!”

I can’t. It’s a curse.

Ms. Hunter won me over and I’m thrilled to say that Text Me Baby One More Time made me fall for romantic comedies all over again!

“I’d give forever a shot with you.”
This book was so perfect! ❤️ Teagan is one of my favorites authors and I enjoy her books like I breathe air.
I noticed that in each book from this series there was a pet present. And this one was no exception. Steve was so cute! Just imagining the pug was enough to fall in love. I mean... the dog was practically a present! 😍
On the other side, I loved how well the past and the present were connected. I just love it when an author knows how to keep me interested!
There is no need to say that this book is a 5 stars book right? I’m so in love with this series! ❤️❤️❤️

#1 Let's Get Textual ↠ 3.5 stars
#2 I Wanna Text You Up ↠ 2.5 stars
#3 Can't Text This ↠ 3 stars
#4 Text Me Baby One More Time ↠ 3 stars

This book was doing so well and was on the way to become my favorite in the series ... and then I realised that the Hero (Sheppard) is the same douchbag guy from Let's Get Textual and I Wanna Text You Up.

Sheppard is Zach's brother (the Hero from book 1). He did so many shitty things in the first two books. For one, Shep was leading Zoe (h from book 2) on until she slept with him and then ditched her. I can forgive that, because guys in college are obviously dumb, but what he did to Delia (h from book 1) is unforgivable. He saved a nude picture of Delia from Zach's phone and send it to all his friends from the baseball team and for what? Because he was jealous of Zach and Delia's relationship and because he was pissed that Delia called him out for being a douchbag. Thanks to him, Delia's nude got spread through the whole college. Excuse me, but who does that to his brother and his girlfriend?? A TRASH PERSON DOES THAT.

Anyway, Text Me Baby One More Time starts a couple of years after the events of Let's Get Textual (I think?) and Sheppard really feels guilty about all his past mistakes and says that he is not the same guy he was before and yada yada. Listen, I'm all about character development and that people can change for the better, but it was maybe 24 hours ago since I've read Let's Get Textual. Therefore, Shep's betrayal is still fresh on my mind and I'm salty about it.

Did I also mentioned that I'm petty and don't forgive easily? While everyone (and with everyone I mainly mean Delia and Zach) has forgiven Shep for what he has done. I have not. My stubborn and petty brain can't let go of the fact that he spread nudes of his brother's girlfriend around campus. What the hell dude? For that reason I gave it 3 stars.

I'd have enjoyed it more if the Hero was someone else with baggage we haven't seen in previous books, because I love Danny. She was awesome and a sassy heroine. After a goat, a cat, a bunny, this series is ending with a puppy. One step closer on getting my own zoo. 😂

So I snooped a bit in the reviews and found out who it was about (I'm gonna keep it a mystery) and I wasn't sure if I wanted to read it. But the reviews were all loving and all, and I love enemies to lovers. This one didn't only needed probe himself to the h but also to all the readers! Because I'm quite sure not many lovers of him were here.. He sure did a great job of redeming himself and making us see the good in him.
But Robbie is and will stay my favorite! And Monty as well!
These two had a nice and exciting start themselves but I don't get why he chickened..
Also I love myself a Pug too! I should ask my bf..

This one was a DNF at 35% for me and 2 stars rating… I can’t say that I’m really surprised by that fact, mostly because I wasn’t so excited to read this one when I discovered who will be the hero… as in the asshole from the first book who did some really shitty things… but, even though I knew that, I decided to still give it a try… mostly because I had an opportunity to listen to the audiobook of this story through one of my subscriptions… otherwise I’m not sure I would pay to get my hands on this novel… turns out, my predictions were right… I really wanted to give Shep a chance to redeem himself, but just couldn’t stand him any longer… the more I read and the more critical I am of the books I’m reading, the more I discover what things, events and characters really annoy me… and he’s the perfect example… apparently I really don’t like the super arrogant guys… and even though he claims that he changed and wants to prove this to Denver, I didn’t really see it… because apparently they met a few years ago through texts and he did something awful when she moved across the country to go to the same college as he to be with him… unfortunately, at the point where I stopped reading I still didn’t know what exactly did happen between them… we see flashbacks to how they met, and in the present time he shows up to… I don’t know, I guess prove to her that he’s a changed man and maybe win her back? but he’s still arrogant and pushy and she’s letting him back into her life way too easy… and I still don’t know how angry am I supposed to be at the situation, because I have no idea what happened between them in the past… ugh… this one was definitely not my cup of tea, but I loved the first three books in this series, so I guess you win some you lose some… ;) I saw that a lot of people loved this story so I highly encourage you to give some other reviews a read before deciding if you want to pick this one up :)

XOXO

Text Me Baby One More Time is the final book in the Text series! This is so sad to me because I have really come to love this series. I am however really excited to see what Teagan comes up with next! Anyway, this is a second chance, romantic comedy with giggle inducing humor and lovable characters. The banter, as always, is top notch. The way Cap and Bucky go back and forth is hilarious, especially when it comes to Steve. I think whenever Steve was around, it was my favorite part of the book. Who is Steve? You will have to read to find out!! :D

If you are in the mood for a one of a kind romcom, I highly recommend this book (and the others in the series). I have only recently become a fan of the author after I met her and found her books at a signing but haven't been able to stop reading them since. They are addicting! Also, if you are unfamiliar with the series you should know that each book can be read as a complete standalone. They are interconnected and the characters play minor roles throughout the series, but you don't have to have read them to understand the book you choose to read. For example, in this book Monty makes an appearance being the sister of the heroine. Her book it this ones predecessor but you don't need to have read it to fully enjoy this one.

1 Estrella!

I was beyond excited when I found out that I'd be receiving an arc for this book.
I fell in love so hard with Teagan's Texting Books and after all that I've read so far and Teagan's teasing about the book in the Facebook group, I was so READY to read this book.

I was so curious about the story of the main characters in this one. So I was really excited when I fired up my Kindle and started reading. I soon found out that this was going to be one of those books that you really want to finish in one sitting. One of those books that reeled me in completely right from the very first page and held me captive until the end.

I love you, he said.
Forever, he said.
Turns out, he lied.

When he leaves me high and dry after a cross-country move, I push him out of my life as much as I can, which is hard to do when the guy who broke your heart also happens to be the most famous dude in town.

After a disastrous year, he’s aiming to rehab his reputation, and I just so happen to be aiming for a promotion at the paper.

So, we strike a deal, and it’s a win-win all around.

Besides, what’s the harm in a few dates to charity galas anyway?

He’s arrogant, a total jerk. There’s no way I’ll fall for him…again.

I used to love him. Now I hate him…I think.

This story was such a magnificent blend of Second chance romance and haters to lovers romance - although technically both characters didn't Really hate each other but just liked to push one another buttons haha. The banter between these two characters was to die for and their chemistry was so frigging hot AF!

The characters are exquisite. Let's talk about them by using their 'nicknames' shall we? We promised the author to not divulge on giving away names of these characters when we agreed to review this books - in order to not spoil anyone - , so that's why I'm sticking to their nicknames here. You have to find out for yourself who this book is about by picking it up then, right ;)?

Captain America , our hero with abandonment issues, and Bucky , our lovable, 'speak-your-mind'- heroine (This author deserves an award for adding so much awesome referrals to her books about comics and movies and such) are set for a really intense and emotional bumpy ride in the chase for their HEA.

Bucky is Sassy and funny and these character traits of hers are, among other, such a great addition to Captain America's sense of humor and arrogance. I can't imagine coming across someone who won't root for these two firecrackers.

I especially Love Captain America's determination to BE better and that some things are worth fighting for. Until the very end . I love characters who redeem themselves, who work their way through their struggles and Show the people around them that they Can own up to their mistakes. RESPECT! Couldn't love this dude more!

The texting elements in this book in particular was something I ended up loving so much yet again! It's a focus point in all the books in the series and book 1 will remain my most favorite to be honest, but the texting between these two characters in this book was so funny, heartwarming and addicting to read.

I really fell in love with these characters through their texting alone already. I think it says enough about the author's talent if she's able to have you falling for characters with 'just' text messages. There's so much palpable in the words.

I love that the author chose to include past text messages for example. This way, we knew how they both fell in love with each other in the past and how everything fell apart. That gave the second chance romance elements so much more depth because I was emotionally so intensely involved in it all.

Aside from the firm friendship base of the romance - I love the friendship being present first so much-, there's so much chemistry present which makes for such a steamy romance. It had me hot & bothered so many times while reading the story and I loved it so much! Teagan is so good in writing these build ups and having me feel all the feels!

It had me laughing out loud so many times, which is something Teagan's so good at writing down: humor and the most terrific banter between characters. I think she's one of the best RomCom authors out there at the moment, and this book is yet again proof of Why I feel like that.

Teagan's book are always the right kind of romantic, funny, heartwarming, angsty/dramatic, adorable and nerdy. And Text me baby one more time was no exception to this. It was all that and I loved every second of this reading experience.

I know for sure that if you've loved other books in this series, you are going to love this one as well! And that you'll be left with an aching hole in your heart after finishing it, knowing this was It.. Although I keep hoping there's more to come in this series someday.

Anyway, this author is one I'd gladly added to my auto-buy list. This is an author who has me already looking forward to reading her next book, whatever that may be hehe. Let's get Textual is still my absolute favorite in the series, but Text me baby one more time is a very close second! Very close and ends the Texting series with a bang! I couldn't have wished for a better final installment in the series. I'm so going to miss these characters - thankfully there's something called Re-Reading hihi.

Safe to say I'm recommending this one, right? hihi!
It can be read as a standalone btw!

If you love RomCom, this is an author you want to put on your radar ASAP!

Thanks for reading!

I refuse to believe that we’ve reached the end of the line for this series. I REFUSE! Seriously though, if this really is it, then Teagan Hunter absolutely made sure that we got an extra epic one for last. She has undoubtedly captured my heart and tickled my funny bone from the moment I’ve read Let’s Get Textual... but with every book that came after, she just made me fall, swoon and laugh even harder.

“They make medicine for that, you know.”
“For what?”
“Your constipation. Being so fucking full of shit all the time has to start hurting after a while.”

I think one of the things I love most about this series is how candid and witty and realistic the stories and characters are. How you can relate to them so easily and see yourself in their shoes that sometimes, you just don’t ever want to leave. Or how the banter comes across so naturally that it cracks you up even more. With Text Me Baby One More Time—regardless if you’re familiar with the main couple or not—I guarantee, you’ll be falling head over heels for the hero, and connecting effortlessly with the heroine in no time.

“There are a lot of what-ifs in life. Being chickenshit isn’t a reason to walk away from something.”

I dove into this book half blind—I had no idea who the main couple would be either or where the story would even take me. All I knew was that it has every bit of Teagan Hunter’s unique brand of humor, sass and sarcasm with a twist of a second chance romance this time around. And man, I didn’t just adore every single moment of this book—I devoured it from cover to cover. It was just so adorable and emotionally satisfying, not to mention heart-fluttering and toe-curling! Cap and Bucky’s story was incredibly addictive—I literally was not able to put this book down until I knew how it all ended.

“For what it’s worth, this was never unfinished business. It can’t be, because I never stopped loving you.”

Text Me Baby One More Time may be a romantic comedy, but it’s definitely one with a lot of heart and a load of heat. Get ready to giggle, laugh out loud and fall in love with Captain and Bucky. If you’re into rom coms, second chance romances, and Teagan Hunter’s Texting series, then this is the precious pot of gold you’re waiting for. Because this book is all of that and more, wrapped into one insanely unputdownable story.

“I’m keeping you this time.”
“Are you?”
“If you’ll let me, Bucky.”

if I had remembered that shep was the asshole brother in book 1 I might’ve not picked this up BUT I’m a sucker for second-chance romance, it’s my favourite trope, and this entire series is especially funny and consistently enjoyable

and im so glad I did, I say this with each book in this series in that I like the next better than the one previous and that still stands true, this one was my favourite

Denny and shep have such fun banter, with just the right amount of heartfelt angst too, also the nonlinear element of having their texts woven and paralleled with the present was so tender wtf

like I said before shep was awful in the first book, just awful, and borderline unforgivable (imo) so seeing him genuinely apologize and own his actions was just enough to be redeeming

Denny too was such a great lead, she was SO funny and most importantly also acknowledged the flaws in their relationship and why they didn’t work the first time, she’s just 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

it’s been indicated that this is the last book and that’s bittersweet because this is definitely one of my more recent favourite na series, again for being so funny

this author will be on my radar for future releases that’s for sure 👀

It's no secret that I hated Shepard's guts since book 1. And to be honest, at the end of this book, I still didn't like him that much but at least I didn't feel like slapping his face off.

But I am still firmly standing by my earlier statement - he does NOT deserve the honour of Captain America nickname, it's the hill I choose to die on, ok???!

Anyway, I had rather conflicting feelings about this story - I liked Denver and Shep's chemistry, I found their story more interesting than Monty and Robbie's, I LOVED Denver. I just didn't like Shep that much - on top of what he'd done to Delia, he just came off as a privileged prick. No matter how much spoonfeeding the author did to convince me that he is a good guy now.

But I have to give it to this book - no one, absolutely no one, excused Shepard's actions. Well, no one but him. However, that was also touched upon and I loved that Denver didn't take his shit and forced him to face his actions. Which he FINALLY did and I have to admit it was satisfactory. It's just that to me it felt a bit too late and it was only after he lost/almost lost Denver again.

More than that, I really wasn't into Shepard's explanations for why he was such a little shit. Like, I think at certain point I would've been more receptive to simple "I was a jerk because I was a jerk" explanation than this elaborate Psychology 101 analysis I got that ended with the most obvious and cliche "sometimes good people make bad things but it doesn't make them bad people" conclusion.

To sum all this up...this was an interesting read. It was also entertaining AF and Denver's fierceness and her antics kept me glued to this book. And at the end, Shep and Denny were good together, which, altogether, lands this book somewhere between 3 and 3.5 stars.

I can totally recommend this series with good conscience.

First of all, what kind of a name is shepherd? Alright, let’s give that one a pass. But Denver, DENVER? Huh huh?

Also, shepherd just wasted 6 years of his life which he could’ve spent with Denver but he was too busy being a dumb jock to make noteworthy sensible choices.

Secondly, how can you assume that a guy who passed around his brother’s girlfriend’s nudes in the locker room, to be a decent human?

Not me.
I mean this guy was so below the ladder of people who gain sense as they age..

I mean, wasn’t he ready to scratch his itch in the grocery shop with slut 1 if weren’t for Denver ? Who incidentally stopped by?? But was still in love with her for the past 6 years?

I don’t get it.

3 Captain & Bucky stars!

Not my favourite of the Text Me series, but still a fun, enjoyable read. This was a friends-to-enemies-to-lovers 2nd chance romance book with some flashbacks thrown in. I’m not usually a fan of flashbacks but they were of old texts so it was like reading old letters between lovers.

Fine, Den. Forever. You’ll always be my Bucky.

Denver (aka Denny or Den) is the twin sister to Montana whom we met in Can't Text This and opposite to Montana in almost every way. I loved Denny’s sarcastic wit!

Shepard has his work cut out for him. Not only did he commit some pretty horrible things in Let's Get Textual against Delia and Zach, but he also did something just as bad against Denny that caused her to hate him five years ago. I’m not the biggest fan of Shepard, he’s too cocky and flies off the handle too easily. Though I did love him in the flashback texting between Denny and Shep; he was sweet and funny.

Once again, we got to revisit everyone from previous books and see the 1 degree of separation between all of them! Oh, and I can't forget to mention the cute pug named Steve :)

I loved every book in this series and can’t wait to see what Teagan Hunter puts out next!

O gafă ce-i strică relațiile cu familia?

Oh how I love the Texting series!!

The story of Captain & Bucky was a fantastic way to end (sad face) this series. As I read, I wondered how Teagan would incorporate the texting aspect and it. was. perfection.

The chemistry between Cap & Bucky is palpable right off the bat. I loved their individual personalities but once together, they were quite the pair!

The way Teagan came full circle with the characters and tied everything together was incredible, and, in my opinion, the mark of a gifted writer.

The friendships and love, not just in this story, but throughout the entire series, is what makes this such a unique and amazing read. This is one of my all-time favorite series and one I recommend often to friends.

Captain and Bucky 4 ever!

Now, Teagan, GIVE ME BRAXTON!!!!

Teagan sure ended this series with a bang. I still can't believe that it's over! I'm not ready for it! I want more of all of them!

I entered this read without knowing it was about the Shep and Denver, Monty's sister. I loved that she got a book, she was awesome in Monty's book. Also, I found it really cool that Teagan made up a space for Shep and introduced us to him a little better because ever since reading Let's Get Textual, I hold a grudge towards Shepard because of what he did and I believe that's the reason Teagan thought he deserved better, he deserved a chance to explain himself and for us readers to understand his actions and what was going on with him. It closed a lot of gaps for me, a lot made sense after reading this book and it was so great.

"Denver Andrews used to love me. Now she hates me. I used to love her too…and I still do."

I met Teagan's work with this series and she is now one of my favorites authors of all time. I love her writing, her sense of humor and the way she can make me laugh out loud with all the goofy things she writes. I loved it. I'll make sure to keep tabs on her work and to read everything she writes because those are the kind of reads that make me super happy and make me fall in love all over again for the book world.

4.5 Sterne
Second chance, friends to lovers - genau mein Ding.

Band 1 bleibt mein Favorit (4.5)
Band 3 (4)
Band 2 (4)

4.25... cause it kept my interest... just no real substance with the storyline.

Denver is best friends with (Allie) and Shepard is best friends with (AJ)... these two become texting friends.

"You say it would have been better if I had loved you.” (Her)
“Well I have news for you, Denver.” Him
“I never fucking stopped.” Him
My whole world falls apart around me.😍🥰🥰

Chapter 25 ending 😂😂😂

**Jealousy
**Bantering
**Friends to lovers
**Guy falls first
**Long distance

Hoopla listen 🎶

Opäť vtipná jednoduchá sexi oddychovka, plná slovného doberania, elektrizujúceho napätia, silnej príťažlivosti, samozrejme textingu a … bubny prosím… mopslíka!
