Short Stories that explore the shadowlands of imagination through the lens of faith— that's how these stories have been described in the blurb.
What is faith?
According to the author, it means subscribing to concepts mentioned in the Old Testament, and declaring everything else as damnable or outright damned.
Luckily, he avoids posturing like characters of morality play, and covers every sermon with either humour, or deliberately exaggerated stereotypes, or scifi tropes. That makes them somewhat readable.
But the bigotry started getting at my nerves after a while. Eventually I found it almost impossible to finish, despite the author having a certain flair for invoking "three aliens walked into a bar" vibes with his humour.
Disappointed.
Definitely Not Recommended.
