What happens when Van's ex shows up on the scene to help "solve" the mystery? Is she really there to help, or is she just trying to help herself? Both Bea and Ida feel that Agent Brooke Fielding - bless her heart - is a cold-hearted, back-stabbing, barracuda. And that's the nicest thing they've said about her.
Meanwhile, L.J. is not only trying to figure out how she's supposed to be the key to solving the mystery but also who can she really trust. Especially as new secrets are revealed and old secrets are exposed.

Another great read!

Layered has kept this series going with twists & turns. The reader gets to know more about the characters. I love the way Terri Reid give you characters you would love to know. And to cheer on in their fight against their foes. Well done! Excited for the next book in this series!

This mystery just gets more and more intense with each new cut!!!
Julep is certainly a very interesting and intriguing place to visit, I’m not sure I’d ever want to live there.

Terri does it again with Layered

Anyone who likes super natural suspense will love this series, A Shear Disaster Mystery. Luella Jo can't seem to miss out on any trouble that can possibly happen. Luckily her hunk of a boyfriend, his aunt and all her book club friends and her best friend are always there to back her up in the nick of time. Throw in a ghost here and there, especially her momma and you have perfect mayhem while righting good against evil. A great read!

The book was pretty decent. I was kind of disappointed at the comment made about politics/political views towards the end of the book by Kyle. I understand everyone has their opinions, but I personally think there isn’t a need to make jabs at a political side. Especially when reading a paranormal murder mystery. I personally choose to read to get away from that sort of thing.

Suspenseful and Entertaining

I anxiously awaited this installment in the series. The minute I received the notice it was coming to print, I purchased it. The main characters are lovable and well developed. I look forward to the next one, I so hope that Ms Reid is working on it now.
