A rugged mountain-man, a girl next door and a wedding that will give them the adventure of a lifetime. Kelsey I don’t do small town, country living. The hustle and bustle of New York pumps through my veins. Still, when a dear friend invited me to stand up in her wedding, I decided to embrace all Colorado had to offer. I was expecting mountainous terrain and outdoor adventures. Instead, I found myself face to face with the ruggedly handsome Henry Rigby—a lumberjack fantasy come to life. It was supposed to be a short trip. Yet the time we spent together made New York seem farther and farther away...
Henry As best man, I promised the groom I would show Kelsey a good time. I considered her one of my groomsmen responsibilities... until I saw her. Far from the high-maintenance New Yorker I expected, she was working that alluring girl next door look. Still, I had sworn off commitment and she had major trust issues. Feelings shouldn’t have factored into our time together. But, the vulnerability beneath her steadfast independence called to me. And, for the first time in a long time, I found myself regretting I couldn’t offer her the commitment she deserved.

"Will you be my forever?" I love small town romance. Telluride, Colorado, with its mountains, the snow, and the landscapes seems absolutely perfect for me. Can I please move now?
Adventurous Love is a very sweet story about two people who weren't looking for anyone, who had given up on wanting something for themselves, because life had knocked them down a few times.
"Finding someone to spend your life with was elusive." Kelsey's and Henry's story is pretty much insta-lust, if not insta-love. They're clearly attracted to each other right away, but they come from very different worlds. He's the mountain guy, she lives in New York. He owns a mountain lodge, she works at the stock exchange. They shouldn't fit, but they do. They shouldn't work well together, but they do. And while they resist it at first, their chemistry becomes undeniable, and threatens to turn their worlds upside down.
"How is it I miss you already? You haven't even left." They keep getting closer and closer, but they have an expiration date. Kelsey's in town for their friends' wedding and is bound to return to NYC after it. So they know it can't last, and they assume it won't last, so they decide to spend whatever time they have together. But what if...
Henry is my only complaint. I'm a character-driven reader, and I personally needed more from him. Hence my 3.5, rounded up to 4.
"I wanted to chase away the shadows in her eyes." While I loved Kelsey and I can understand where she's coming from, her doubts, and her insecurities, she still rose up to the challenge. She opened her heart and trusted Henry. But Henry... while he was a sexy, caring guy, I needed his leap of faith. I needed him to put Kelsey first, and to see what was staring him right in the eye. Maybe because his relationship issues didn't feel all that real, and he felt sort of childish to me sometimes.
However, bonus points for Gray and Elle because they are real friends. They support you when you need it, and they're the first ones to call you out when you need to get your head out of your ass. More bonus points for Henry's mom and dad - relationship goals right there! I loved them both!
"You're all that matters." Ms. Coll wrote the right happily ever after for them. It's perfect, it's spot on, and it will make your heart feel warm and happy. All love is kind of an adventure - theirs wasn't an easy one, but it was really worth it!
I received an ARC from Grey's Promotions and this is my honest review.
They’ve each had bad relationships or things from their past that have helped define who they are as adults. What happens at the end of their few weeks together? They both want different things out of life or so they think.
They both realize, rather quickly, that when you truly love someone that you will do anything to be together.
I would definitely recommend this book to any true romance reader.
Readers like me, ok me, I have the problem. I tell myself I will read just one chapter to see how I like the book. Next thing, I am fifty percent in, and I need to get up early the following day. Learn from my mistake(s) and just start this book with plenty of free time.
I love the elements of this book, city girl, mountain man, small town, the wedding of friends, backdrop in a beautiful mountain setting. Kelsey and Henry hit it off, but her time in his town has an end date. She needs to go back to her job, or does she? Can Henry pull out her adventurous spirit and show her what she has been missing in her life?
Thank you to the author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.
Kelsey's in Telluride for her friend's wedding, knowing that this will be a short stay, then back to her life in New York. Then Henry happens to her - the rugged guy so opposite of her, whose important priorities are his lodge, his town, and definitely not a relationship with a city girl whose time in his town has a definite expiration date.
Kelsey and Henry fell for each other in a very short amount of time, and they were sweet and adorable together. Though the inevitable goodbye happened, while they were together, they were so sweet together, and even sweeter when they found their way back to each other. I haven't read the first story in this series, but I definitely plan on reading any new ones coming, because I loved this one.
I was already a goner for this book in the first few pages, who wouldn't when they felt they had just stepped into the Christmas Hallmark Channel, although this couple doesn't hold back on the chemistry front. The backdrop for this story, with the snow and the mountains had me believe I was seeing the cold air releasing from my lips as I snuggled down under my blanket with a hot cup of chocolate and let Henry and Kelsey's story seep into my soul.
Kelsey is a city girl, her parents never had much time for her and so she grow up never knowing the delights of a warm family upbringing when she has the opportunity to spend time with her long lost friend Elle Infamous Love, she jumps at the chance to spend time with her in Mountain Haven as Elle prepares for her wedding. Henry runs the Inn, which he is still in the process of opening up, from the moment Kelsy steps through the door, the pair have instant chemistry, but Kelsey is only in Mountain Have for a short time, but that does not stop the pair from spending time together, as the time draws to an end, going back to NY doesn't seem quite so appealing, but Kelsey has a new job waiting for her, and this was only supposed to be a break, wasn't it?
The 2nd book in the Mountain Haven series and I am as enthralled by it as I was with the first!
Adventurous Love by Lea Coll is the second book of the Mountain Haven Series and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! 😍 It's the beautiful love story of Kesley (the city girl) and Henry (the hot mountain man). Both are so different... but you know what they say? Opposites attract! ❤ Kelsey comes to Telluride for the wedding of her best friend Elle. She and Henry help the soon-to-be husband and wife with the preparations of the wedding.... but Henry also has to take care of Kelsey. Well, there's NO but because both feel that instant attraction. 😉 (Oh, btw Elle and Gray have their own story in Infamous Love. 😉) Awwwwww!!! I loved Kelsey and Henry sooooo much! ❤❤❤ The fancy city girl and the broody nature guy?! DAMN MAN! OPPOSITES ATTRACT AT IT'S BEST! Both are so different BUT oh so PERFECT for each other! 😍 I REALLY couldn't stop swooning right from the beginning till the end! I'd love to move to Telluride to find a guy like Henry. ❤❤❤❤ Adventurous Love was a wonderful love story. It'll show you that it's a good thing when you take risks for love. ❤ Such a wonderful book!
5 Star review of Adventurous Love (Mountain Haven #2) by Lea Coll
Lea Coll has written a story that had me invested from the first chapter to the last in the story she wove about Kelsey and Henry. I love stories set in small towns and I was excited to be back in Telluride, Colorado. Both have been through a lot and had given up on ever having a happily ever after; they both have baggage from their pasts. From the moment their eyes meet, there is an instant connection but as Kelsey has trusts issues, Henry will have to work hard to gain her trust and get her to let him in. These two are opposites and shouldn’t work together and yet they do. However fate works in mysterious ways and although neither Kelsey or Henry were looking for love, love found them anyway.
We're back in Telluride continuing with Elle's friend's story, Kelsey. I really loved the adventure she went on with Henry. She's used to the hustle and bustle of living in New York. When she arrived in Telluride she didn't expect to fall in love with the place, the people, Henry, and everything in between.
Henry is focused on turning a profit for his business and helping his family. He doesn’t have time for love until Kelsey comes to help him with Elle's wedding. I really loved their story, it was fast-paced but didn't feel rushed. It was also so romantic and I loved all the adventures they went on. It felt like I was in on it. I couldn't put this one down especially with Henry's grand gesture.
Oh. My. The feels y'all! You will experience every single one of them. Every. Single. One. The happiness, the fear, the excitement, the longing and their love for each other. Kelsey & Henry’s story is beyond what I expected, the twist and turns had me sucked in from the very first words. This book was a magnificent, captivating, un-put-downable must read! I highly recommend ALL books by Lea Coll. Her stories are the epitome of feel good stories with sass, steam and all the delicious feels in-between. You won’t be disappointed. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
Solid start, companionship and connection Adventurous Love (Mountain Have Book 2) by Lea Coll has written a wonderful romance with all the feels of both protagonists full of longing and yearning. If any two characters were meant to be, it would absolutely be Henry and Kelsey. They are two peas in a pod, both impacted negatively by their pasts, youth. These impacts are quite different, but the results are quite similar bringing home the fact that these two need each other to heal and thrive and live their best, complete lives. The plot for this love story provides Henry and Kelsey a very solid start through tasking risks in adventurous outings, building a foundation of friendship and trust. Even when they don’t believe anything can come of it, deep and abiding connections form that will not be denied. While their chemistry is off the charts, Henry and Kelsey feel themselves drawn to one another beyond their physical attraction. I truly loved the ebb and flow of this romance journey. The interactions as well as inner dialogue through self reflections and questioning begins to pave the way and this author takes these characters through their paces to realization, acceptance and resolution. Another thing I love about this book and the series is the setting. Telluride sounds amazing, beautiful and exciting, giving the characters plenty to see and do, creating magical moments of exploration of every kind. Overall, Lea Coll has developed yet another amazing couple with emotional depth and an engaging storyline that all combined captivates the reader. This was a magical adventure made extra special by Elle and Gray’s wedding and gender reveal, but does not outshine the much deserved HEA of Kelsey and Henry by any means. Definitely a 5 star read! I read an ARC of this book via Grey’s Promotions and voluntarily share my review.

Romance steamy enough to melt the Colorado snow comes to the small town of Telluride in the Mountain Haven Series, by Lea Coll!
Loved Kelsey and Harry's story. Their story was beautifully written and heartfelt. I loved how loyal Harry was to his family and how much he loved them. Their journey wasn't necessarily easy. Loved every page!
Kelsey nearly broke my heart. Her bone-deep sadness at times was just so painful, yet she managed to always appear happy and upbeat to the world. Or she did until Henry came along. While he didn’t want to see beneath the surface, he couldn’t help it when Kelsey was involved. But how can two people from very different worlds make it work? Should they even try? One of them says it’s worth the risk, while the other….may not feel the same way.
I loved the adventure in this book. Kelsey and her willingness to try just about anything to experience all that the town she was rapidly falling in love with had to offer made for so much fun, while her eagerness to help Henry and Elle and anyone else who crossed her path made me want nothing but happiness for her. And Henry couldn’t help wanting to bask in the glow of her happiness either. Of course, he’s a man. And men say and do stupid things. So I had to hope that Henry wouldn’t make a gigantic mess that couldn’t be fixed. Especially when Kelsey may be the key to mending some rifts in Henry’s own life. So when push comes to shove, which ending will it be? The happy one or the safe one?
I’m loving this series so far and can’t wait to see what comes next. Piper definitely needs her story told and some joy in her life, so I look forward to whatever comes our way!
I just love small town romances and this one was perfect! Kelsey and Henry were perfect for one another and their story was perfect.
Kelsey is in town for her best friends wedding, and planning on going back to New York quickly, but then she meets the best man Henry. Kelsey did not expect to fall in love with Telluride like she did. She loves New York and her job, but being in Telluride makes her question everything. She has been burned in relationships in the past and she only want a fling with Henry. Henry is used to vacation flings, he does not do relationships because of his past. But a fling with Kelsey could cause problems since they are in the same friend circle, but Henry cannot stay away.
This book will make you want to rent a cabin and just watch snow fall. It also really makes you want Christmas!!! I loved this book! Lea Coll did a fantastic job describing the town, adventures, snow fall, how they fell in love...everything was perfect.
Kelsey and Henry have been burned in the past and do not want relationships, they are also completely opposite, but they are perfect for one another. Kelsey is willing to do all the adventurous things that Henry loves, and Henry loves all of Kelsey's ideas and just enjoying life.
I love this series and cannot wait for the next one!
The title says it all. An adventure of a lifetime. Kelsey came to Telluride for her friend’s wedding but never thought she would fall in love. She was living in New York working on the Stock Exchange. But she was only living not enjoying life. That was until she arrived in Telluride and Henry agreed to show her what life was all about living there. The places he showed her along with the activities he planned had me googling most of my time while reading their story. What an incredible time they must have had if the pictures I saw online were any indication. How could she not fall in love here. The view of the mountains from her room were spectacular. The ice climbing, the helicopter ride, the Ghost town are only just a few places Henry showed her. All along her falling in love with him. Both had things happen in their past that prevented themselves in entering any type of relationship. This was only temporary, help with their friend’s wedding and then she would be on a plane back to New York and her life there. But sometimes things happen when we least expect them and our lives change, sometimes for the better. Lea Coll creates a story where you feel as though you are experiencing right along with her characters. Adventurous Love takes you on adventure you will never forget from the beautiful love story between two unsuspecting characters to the beautiful sights Telluride Colorado has to offer.
Adventurous Love by Lea Coll is the second book in the Mountain Haven series and we meet Kelsey and Henry in small town Telluride, Colorado. I absolutely loved and devoured this book. It's the beautiful love story of Kelsey (the city girl) and Henry (the hot mountain man) and can be read as a standalone. They are both so different coming from different backgrounds…. but you know what they say? Opposites attract! Kelsey takes time off and comes to Telluride for her best friend Elle's wedding (whom we met on Infamous Love) knowing that this will be a short stay, then back to her life in New York. The backdrop for this story is beautifully set up by the author with its mountains, the snow and the landscapes. Kelsey and Henry connect instantly, Henry agrees to show her what life was all about living there. The places described by the author for activities and sightseeing was breathtaking and spectacular, I could actually visualize being there. The ice climbing, the helicopter ride, the Ghost town are only just a few places Henry showed her. Henry and Kelsey may be thrown together because their best man and maid of honour duties require it, but they stay together constantly because they want to enjoy every moment. Both of them had their reasons for not giving in to their mutual attraction but Kelsey’s was definitely the more heartbreaking of the two. They both have deep wounds in their hearts, and souls, but sometimes the right person can heal those things while you aren’t even paying attention. Adventurous Love takes you on spellbinding journey you will never forget from the beautiful love story between two unsuspecting characters to the beautiful sights Telluride Colorado has to offer. These two are so utterly perfect for each other! You will fall so deeply in this story. If you love small town , opposite attract stories, this one is for you. Highly recommended with five awesome stars.
Thank you Lea Coll for the ARC in exchange for a voluntary and honest review
This is my first time reading Lea Coll and I'm in love. I haven't read the first book in this series, but I fully intend to.
Henry has lived in Telluride Colorado, all his life. He owns a lodge on his family's ranch, that he's hoping will save the family ranch from being sold. When his best friend Grey, from college, decides to have his wedding at the lodge, he's not sure how it will turn out. He never really thought about being an event planner his goal is to offer extreme adventures.
Kelsey, works on the stock exchange and is Elle, the bride's, best friend and maid of honor. She falls in love with Telluride. She's always knew something was missing from her life, but trust will never come easy for her.
When Grey asks Henry to entertain Kelsey the attraction is so strong that they finally give in, but Henry has been hurt one to many times just like Kelsey, and will only agree to have a fling. The only problem is that somewhere along the way feelings start to develop as they both find that they need someone to confide in.
This is a happy-ever-after that you don't want to miss. I look forward to the next book in this series.
Neither Kelsey or Henry could deny the attraction they felt for each other but they knew they couldn’t ever be more or could they? Kelsey’s life was all hustle and bustle in the New York stock exchange but she lived a lonely life. Henry’s life is focused solely on the ranch and making the lodge a success that he closed himself off to any other possibility. Spending time together and planning their friends’ wedding, the connection Kelsey and Henry feel for each other only grows deeper with each revealing things they’ve never shared with others.
There’s a sweetness to Kelsey and Henry and the way they created a safe space for each other. There’s no denying their steamy chemistry but it was so much deeper than they anticipated and it’s scary. Both Kelsey and Henry had their reservations about the future and they both needed to make big decisions. It was heartbreaking when Kelsey had her aha moment and knew what she wanted but Henry wasn’t ready yet. I understand why Henry did what he did out of fear and was relieved when Henry was willing to give up everything for Kelsey because he was ready to put her first every time. Their happily ever after is perfect for them and they found home in each other. Great small town romance read!
Thank you @greyspromo and @leacollauthor for this eARC in exchange for my honest feedback!
The second book in the Mountain Haven series is every bit as good as book one. I honestly had butterflies going round and round in my stomach the whole time I was reading this book. I could feel the connection between Henry and Kelsey right from the start. Both of them had their reasons for not giving in to their mutual attraction but Kelsey’s was definitely the more heartbreaking of the two. When they did finally get together I was so freakishly happy because it was just so obvious these two were meant to be. But it wouldn’t be a typical romance story without the part where things seem to be all lost for the couple. But I have to give credit to Lea because Henry’s grand gesture was absolutely incredible to read. Not so much for his actions but how it made me the reader feel. Fantastic writing has a way of pulling you into the moment and everything that is happening to the characters feels like it’s actually happening to you. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
A beautiful, heartwarming romance that is sexy enough to melt the snow in Telluride, Colorado. Readers, be prepared to experience an intense attraction that leads to a fun and exciting fling, of course flings never end when they are “supposed” to. Henry and Kelsey may be thrown together because their best man and maid of honor duties require it, but they stay together constantly because they want to enjoy every moment of Kelsey’s visit to Colorado before she must return to NYC. Readers will join Henry and Kelsey as they explore winter adventures during the day and heat up his condo at night. Happily ever after isn’t easy for this couple, they both have deep wounds to their hearts, and souls, but sometimes the right person can heal those things while you aren’t even paying attention.
Gray and Elle from the first in this series are getting married and Elle has invited her best friend, Kelsey Turner, to stand at her wedding to be held at the new Rigby Ranch Lodge owned by Henry Rigby and his family. Henry runs the ranch and has added the rustic lodge which is ideal for the wedding. When introduced Kelsey and Henry seem to have an attraction and this is fun developing as Lea writes these escapist romantic and steamy tales so well. While Kelsey works a high stress job clerking at the New York Stock Exchange she is looking forward to a rare time off and helping her friend who is in her first trimester. Henry takes Kelsey in hand and shows her how beautiful his ranch and the country and mountains outside of Telluride are. She doesn't shrink from the outdoor activities and they naturally fit together until Henry gets shy or second guesses himself not recovering until his dad and Gray make him see the light. A lovely romance with a beautiful ambiance and feeling. Received this ARC and have voluntarily reviewed.
I am really enjoying this series! The characters are well developed and the stories are layered and extremely entertaining. Kelsey is leaving New York for a mini vacation to watch her childhood best friend get married in the mountains. Kelsey is a sad soul she almost broke my heart, she has so much sadness and emotional baggage from her parents. Henry runs the Mountain Haven Lodge and loves that it’s his family’s legacy. Henry has some relationships baggage of his own that he needs to over come before he can move on. Kelsey and Henry were more than happy to be part of and help plan the wedding of their best friends Elle and Gray. In the process they developed feelings for each other, are they both ready for a relationship? Where will they live? What happens next? This series has quickly become one of my new favorites. I love the fast paced of these quick reads. I’m already looking forward to the next book in the series.
The book is second of the series and is already setting a wonderful pace. Henry was instroduced to the readers in the first book as Gray's best friend and a real country boy. He is developing a bed and breakfast with some cabins at his parents ranch to help raising income and save it to his parents and family. Kelsey is a good friend of Elle's, they have been apart from some time but reunited in view of Elle's upcoming wedding. She is very lonely and afraid of love due to her past and family. They connect in a way that is so sweet and romantic. Their romance is beautiful and delicate as all Lea Coll's writing is. She has a way of showing the characters true feelings within their heart and souls. This book is great and I loved it!
You will absolutely love this book and this couple!! Henry & Kelsey are best man/maid of honor for their friends Gray and Elle (from first book in series). Henry & Kelsey try to fight their attraction to each other because she’s going back to NYC after the wedding & he’ll be staying in Telluride, CO. The journey to their HEA is a bumpy, adventurous, emotional, entertaining, heartwarming ride. She has her issues from her past starting with her awful parents & he has his issues from being hurt in past relationships. This book has all the feels & you can’t help getting drawn into the story. After reading this book you will feel like you were actually in Telluride yourself from the author’s descriptions. It sounded beautiful and made me want to visit & I don’t even like snow!! Do yourself a favor and read this book!! I received an arc from the author for an honest review.
Adventurous Love is the second book in the Mountain Haven series and let me tell you if you have read the previous book in this series you will love this book as much as the first one! I love Lea's writing and also small town romance are my favorite trope! So this book was perfect for me.
This is the story of Henri and Kelsey 2 person who couldnt be more different between each other but they make a click that you think they will never work together but they will do! They just need to let go of their problems, and funny that neither of them is looking for love and little they know that the wedding of their friends will bring them together and find ther HEA!
This story was really good with not so much drama but some steam moments. It will make you wish you were in the mountains too and maybe find your perfect man there!
I'm so excited to read the next book in this series!!
Kelsey and Henry are thrown together to help their mutual friends, Elle and Gray, with their wedding plans. Kelsey isn't adventurous but Henry makes her feel safe and able to try anything. This series has been set in Telluride, Colorado and there are plenty of adventurous activities to take part in. As they spend more time together, Kelsey and Henry act on their attraction to each other knowing that neither one of them are looking for a serious relationship. The more they are together they begin to have feelings for each other but neither one will be the first to act. Will they be able to get past their insecurities of relationships that have gone wrong? Or will they pass up the chance at love. I liked this book as much as the first one in the series about Elle and Gray. I received an advanced copy to read early and I'm leaving my honest review.
Oh Henry, boy you are something else! Devastatingly handsome mountain man with strong family ties, a rustic lodge and ranch, and delicious sweetness! You stole my heart in Elle and Gray's story and never gave it back! And Kelsey, girl, your courage, loyalty, craving for adventure and excitement, and inner strength inspired me! And broke my heart as I learned about your past and family, the loneliness you've survived. These two are so utterly perfect for each other! You will fall so deeply in this story but it's totally worth the heartache and pain to get to the happy ever after! 5/5 snowflakes ❄ ❄❄❄❄ highly recommend!
Kelsey and Henry are absolutely adorable! I relate to Kelsey's independence as I too rely mostly on myself, however hers is from her relationship with her parents. I broke when she talked about her relationship with them and her expectations of them in her life. Kelsey has a huge heart and definitely deserves more than her parents gave her.
Henry insecurities and fears stemmed from his past relationships making his time with Kelsey short, fun, and easy. However as we all know, life doesn't go according to plan, and Henry's plan for Kelsey went haywire.
The scenes where Kelsey went adventuring were my absolute favorite and made me want to go on a hike in the mountains immediately. However I live in Florida so that is not easy lol. I cannot wait for Piper's story!
For as much as big city Kelsey and small town Henry are different, their past heartbreaks actually bind them together. I wasn’t sure how I was going to connect with Henry, as he seemed very closed up in the first book of the series. But Kelsey brought him out of his shell, while he pushed her to expand her adventurous horizons. The banter between these two was so well written…one of my very favorite things about couples is their ability to spar with each other! Ms. Coll has the gift of dialogue, for sure. And it was nice to see Gage and Elle again! I really enjoyed Henry and Kelsey’s story
Henry and Kelsey are an amazing couple! I loved how their thoughts and feelings were so much like mine. The fears and insecurities in their new relationship were so similar to how I felt back when I was new into my relationship with my husband and it made me love them more because of it. It gave me all the feels. I absolutely loved this book and this couple!! I couldn’t put it down unless I had to. Lea Coll does not disappoint. All of her books are wonderful!
