…If a kickass middle-aged bookkeeper got sucked into a spy’s life…
Secret agent Aydan Kelly is investigating an international arms cabal when drive-by shootings target her lovers, her Director, and Aydan herself. Her trusted informant delivers the chilling news: All their covers are blown.
The hitmen keep coming… and they seem to know exactly where Aydan and her team will be. Someone in the Department is betraying them, and Aydan is forced into a deadly race against time. Can she catch the traitor and stop the cabal before they slaughter the people she loves?
By profession, I’m a technical writer, computer geek, and ex-interior designer. I’m good at two out of three of these things. I had the sense to quit the one I sucked at.
To deal with my mid-life crisis, I also write adventure novels featuring a middle-aged female protagonist, Aydan Kelly. And I kickbox.
This seemed more productive than indulging in more typical mid-life crisis activities like getting a divorce, buying a Harley Crossbones, and cruising across the country picking up men in sleazy bars. Especially since it’s winter most of the months of the year here.
It’s much more comfortable to sit at my computer. And hell, Harleys are expensive. Come to think of it, so are beer and gasoline.
Oh, and I still love my husband. There’s that. I’ll stick with the writing.
So much happening in this one!! Love the dynamic with Aydan and Holt! They make the best partners and had me laughing throughout. Im so ready for more! #TeamKane
Chills, and cheers, and tears! Live and Let Spy is a fantastic high energy addition to the Never Say Spy series! Can you believe this is the 17th book in this amazing series? Live and Let Spy is as outstanding and complex as any book in the series. Someone has hired assassins to go after Kane, Hellhound, Stemp and no telling who else. Someone else is leaking information from Sirius. Aydan refuses to believe that Stemp would do anything to damage the organization; she can't even make herself believe that Damont, that @#$@, is a traitor even after he sets Stemp up and suspends him. When she finds out that her friends are targeted, she will go over anyone to protect them, but she knows she needs the resources of the agency to be successful so she has to put up with Damonte. Bullets and bombs fill her world until she figures out who is behind the plot, and she is in just as much danger as the rest.
WOW! Diane has done it again! If you want a really good book to read - this is the book! It will keep you on the edge-of-your-seat as well as get your heart-in-your-throat. The story is intriguing right from the first word on the page. There are definitely characters you would love to hate in this book but Aydan is always thinking on the positive side - or trying to anyway. I love her 3-way love triangle with Arnie and John. Definitely shocking news within this story but you will have to read it for yourself. FANTASTIC job Diane! I would highly recommend this book and cannot wait for the next book to come out.
I’ve read all of the Spy series and thoroughly enjoyed each one😎 Like all of these books, Live and Let Spy keeps the reader guessing what happens next, and delivered a story that’s keeps you turning the page to see what happens.
Henders delivers a story with well formed characters and story lines that never disappoints. Each character becomes someone you want to know, well maybe not Dermott, and each have a distinct personality that’s maintained throughout the entire series.
I highly recommend Never Say Spy series and it’s best to start with the first book. You won’t regret your decision.
This book has stolen every available nanosecond of my life. I literally could not stop reading! Applaud for Ayden finally giving Dermott the kick he deserved and yet showing her compassion....and then there is John....oh have mercy...
Very nice wrap-up of a long-running story arc, with a great look at the relationships between all our favorite—and not-so-favorite—characters. I’m looking forward to seeing where Henders takes them from here.
