The ending was as expected and the whole brother relationship with Claude and Anastacius was very interesting and I would have loved to have seen more of it. Even though the webnovel doesn't seem to clarify entirely if Athanasia ends up with Lucas or Ijekiel the written novel seems to have put her together with Lucas. Yes I understand that she was a grown up all the time even when both met and Lucas also knew this but it still felt wrong as Athanasia was still in a child's body and it just seems messed up to me. I also sincerely wished for her to end up with Ijekiel as he was way sweeter and it just fitted more as they both shared a secret and she seemed to be interested in him too when she was younger by asking if she could go back to Ijekiel to see him again. Their whole story and relationship just was more unique and interesting to read instead of the typicial enemies to lovers that is over-hyped in my opinion.

The resolution was cute, I loved that there's room for reconciliation for the blonde bros. Baby blondie is now the crown princess and can't decide between two men, which was left open-ended for the masses to decide. People seemed mad about it but I don't think it's a bad thing. Especially when she's around 16 and Claude keeps saying that she's *just so young*. HE'S RIGHT.
Overall a nice story but the ending felt a bit.. idk empty. I wanted some reconciliation on-screen and also more of Lucas. Oh well.
i absolutely loved this. athanasia was executed by her father in her previous life and now that she's back, she's trying to find a way to survive. somehow, in this life, athanasia got closer to her coldblooded father and they actually develop a father-daughter relationship. it's heartwarming to see how protective he became.
THIS SERIES IS PROB NOW ONE OF MY FAVORITE MANHWAS IVE EVER READ. What a good story. Wowowowow. I just loved the world, the ART, the characters, and the relationships. EEEEEEE. The father daughter arc is just the absolute BEST. I feel so blessed and so fortunate to have stumbled upon this series. What a fun time.
A lot of people commented (≧∇≦) KYAAAAA and BROTHER I KNOW. Really, really good storytelling and character development and just a super fun and interesting story. I also loved the protagonist. Not a passive goody goody diplomat like they usually are.
I laughed. I cried. I can’t wait to buy the entire series to be able to read it over and over. This is probably the most incoherent review I’ve ever written but I cannot get over how much I enjoyed reading this. MY LIFE IS BETTER AFTER EXPERIENCING THIS.
Claude being happy that athanasia declined to the marriage is the best. And everyone looking shocked at them... Just wow. I was laughing like a maniac the whole time. The reconciliation of claude and Anastacius.. I was wondering if t would happen and it did. And the most important part... Lucas and Athy. Lucathy is my ROMAN EMPIRE. if they are going to marry, regardless of claude's murderous intent.. the scene would be wholesome and no one.. i said no one would be more happy than me.
Though my first wish would remain the same— Claude and Diana reincarnated and then live with each other till the end of time. I genuinely wanted to see this.
I just love it, it made me feel happy in many ways. I finished in 3 nights. It was totally worth it. I mean there were some things that I'd prefer to see more developed but anyway it was great.
4.5 Well, now what do I do with my life?? (In my head she goes on to marry both of them and they all live happily ever after in the polycule we always deserved)
review of the overall series: this was honestly so flipping cute and fun, that i read through 125 eps in less than four days, so new record 😛 (my methods exam grade is on life support)
i genuinely wasn’t expecting to like this at all, bc hello???? claude repeatedly tries to kill his own daughter, and we’re expected to forgive him???? i was bracing myself to be disappointed, bc while the pain and angst is all good and fun, he still is a psycho; regardless, i think the author did a really good job of making him at least likeable? if not redeemable (his justification’s still not good enough). i loved seeing athy’s relationships develop not only with her dad, but also the other main characters, like the found family trope hit so hard here (lily is literally her mother 🥹) (rip raven tho, you will be missed 😔✊ hope you’re eating all the chocolate you want in doggy heaven)
i admit it gets frustrating at times, especially during the “big conflict” between ep 40-80ish, bc sleeping beauty claude just would not wake tf up???? but i’m willing to go through that again to read the ending for the first time, bc Agshehjd they’re so adorable 🥹 like was it a stereotypical hea? maybe, but it was cute & fluffy, and that’s what matters. i’m happy with the emotional growth and character development that the leads have shown (ep 102 was gut-wrenching), but also the room that characters like the blonde bros are given for reconciliation. it was just nice and sweet 💗
i really shouldn’t have doubted the og isekai manhwa that literally skyrocketed the genre to fame, like i get why ppl were hooked 😵💫

read this a while ago but i forgot to update goodreads lmao. anyway 4 stars for the entire series. i loooooved the characters and esp the relationship b/w claude and athy. they are soooooo bad for my daddy issues. i got so many meme pictures from this manhwa lmao. the reason i didn't give it 5 stars bcs they dragged it out too much in the middle :/ but other than that it was perfection.
reread 1: MY BABIES 💔💔💔💔💔💔 changing the rating, idc abt the pacing anymore, this is MY peak not THE peak ❤️ series still gets 4.5 overall but last two volumes were pretty, pretty good
“my name is athanasia de alger obelia” CHILLS AND I TEARED UP A LITTLE AND HER MOMMY’S HEREEE. i cried so hard ngl i love u ch 100. fucking athernithas what is his problem and to think none of this wouldn't have happened if lucas hadn't run his nasty mouth 😭 i cried so many times throughout the last two volumes it's almost embarrassing. i love what athy and claude's relationship develops into, it's so wonderful and warm. cried when claude laughed wide, cried with him and athy, cried during athy's coronation, cried when diana and athy met, and finally cried at the end of the series, i'll never stop being proud of you athanasia <3
The story started with a desperate Athy. One who struggles for her survival. It was fun to see her try and do her most to a seemingly unfeeling father. Eventually, it seemed that her efforts were paying off but problems arose though when new people were introduced and Athy had to struggle yet again. I felt for her at that part. It was painful to see her be antagonized. Thankfully though, she had good people with her and she was successfully able to do what she wants and what she must.
I loved the relationship that formed between Athy and her dad at the end. Loved seeing her surrounded by love and devotion. She deserves it all.
I kind of wish we were shown even just glimpses of how she was as a ruler too (the official ruler). Albeit it being mentioned at the end, I think it'll be fun to read a bit on that as well (also because I want to see who will still be with her at that time heh)
The way the story progressed in this manhua was satisfying. The art was good. The characterization was good. And the plot itself was good and keeps you hooked 'til the very last chapter. Needless to say, I really enjoyed this read.
I loved the wrap up of the series and the explanation we were given for Athanasia’ reincarnation, how she was the only Athanasia all along and how she got to finally ‘free’ Claude and end the cycle of suffering her family went through. Claude made some things that were truly unforgivable and yet here we were given enough backstory to fully understand how he got to that point. Amazing plot.
The one aspect I did not care for was the romance with Lucas. While I get that for ‘mental age and immortality magic reasons ’ he was the most compatible with her, I did not much like him with Athy … still, they had a sweet epilogue. And I was glad to see Jennette finally to get the one thing she always wanted too. ❤️ Really the perfect , healing ending for all characters.
I can't believe it's over. I started reading this story around 2020 and it made such an impression on me. I love it so much. The father-daughter duo makes my heartache but at the same time, I don't think there would have been a better way to end this story.
Ah, I wish fathers were real.
(The romance subplot is totally okay, in my mind she did end up with Lucas, there was no other option)
CRYING SCREAMING SCRATCHING BANGING MY HEAD ON THE WALL OMG MY ATHY HAS GROWN SO MUCH THESE PAST VOLUMES OMG I'M I LOVE HER I LOVE THIS BOOK I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS I I I I LOVE LOVE LOVE OMG EVERYTHING ATHY'S BEEN THROUGH OMG I LOVE HER (and her father) I'M SO PROUD OF HER OMG CRYING SCREAMING VOMITING I LOVE THIS SO MUCH PLEASE READ IT.
It was a looooong but satisfying ride with this series. I really enjoy how the webtoon adaptation differed from the novel, and I love the focus on the familial relationships here. It's so refreshing that too.
It was a very nice ending to the Mahnwa, I would have liked to continue to see the lives of each of the characters, see what happened to Artie and Lucas as they were my favorite couple but I think Artie was happy with Claude.
