The way I felt physically nauseous since that one big reveal in this volume…

Goodness, the creator really put Fumi through the wringer in this one because my heart felt completely devastated for her! Fumi is so incredibly strong and I admire her more than I ever have before. The things she went through in that battle were horrible, scarring, angering, and deeply saddening. I can't even remotely begin to imagine being in her shoes!

I'm thankful Kyutaro is there and that he cares for her. Granted, the entire Genbu clan honestly! But Kyutaro especially I think she is going to need deep comfort from.

And oh my goodness, the strength HE has shown! That battle was intense and I admire how he stood his ground!

Ah, Tsubasa. I once again have fallen for another "bad guy" in this series! LOL! Not in a romantic way or anything, but I LOVE Ataru and how he has grown in the Genbu clan, and feel this could happen for Tsubasa too! I'm especially looking forward to seeing how he will grow as a character because he knows things and I think he is a lot more caring than he shows!

While I felt very gutted reading this volume, it was extremely good! My heart needs some time to recover, but I'm also desperately wanting the next volume ASAP!

I didn't see that reveal coming! I feel so bad for Fumi. Not gonna lie, Tsubasa feels redundant in the story as his role has already been filled by Ataru. It's not like he's bringing anything new to the table either. Would love to be surprised later on, but at the moment, I don't care for him.

Fumi is growing her found family one person at a time, and I love that for her.

I am so curious to see where this adventure ARC takes us. So much has been revealed, and hopefully it doesn't all end in hurt and heartbreak. I can't wait to see the inevitable showdown with our sweepers and Yanagi, because HELLO! Plot Twist!

The longer this series goes on the more nervous I get, because things keep standing at the edge of making me have a mental breakdown because something So Bad is going to happen, and then it pulls back. It's only a matter of time before the really bad thing happens...

So I have been binge reading a lot of this series as I returned to it from a long break. I have really enjoyed the way the story has progressed. The artwork is great, there is enough detail without it being too distracting and the action scenes are not overly chaotic looking.
The plot has been good and I have really enjoyed seeing how various characters have grown, how relationships have formed and strengthened, and how the various villains are just as complex as the good guys.
While I enjoy the series, I do hope that after this story arc we start coming towards the end of the series so that we can end on a high note, as I feel like after this it will start to drag if we add more and more struggles/bad guys/challenges.
I would be likely to recommend this series to others and look forward to the next volume.

I just wanted to add this to my spreadsheet and was trying to find some information. Google translated the title because of reasons. In my language the title was: Koninginnekwaliteit 19. Which amuses me to no end because it suggest that the queen is of quality (or that the quality is of a queens standard) while I though Queens's Quality meant the quality of the specific queen in the story.

It's very nuanced and not really important but amusing nonetheless.

But I'm confused... I thought the Genbu were told the white queen was the white snake and here we meet the actual white snake...I must have misunderstood. Or something.

Another volume where I felt like Fumi isn't the main character of her own story. Kyuutaro is literally doing everything and she's way more passive and just reacting to what is happening around her. It isn't great and I was hoping with the end of Kyuutaro's snake arc, the focus can be switched back to her(besides the reveal of her family, which we don't even get a part of it with her).

Fumi and I both suspected it, but Yanagi being her father still sucks. The White Cat, I knew much sooner, but it was still super interesting how that happened. I guess we’ll finally start figuring out what truly happened that led to the Byakko split, as well as the Sickness, too. Oh, Fumi.
