Mostly Human, Mostly Cat

Harper's hobby is cute, Giovanni thinks. The spells, the potions, the moonlight rituals.

Giovanni's traits are annoying, Harper thinks. He doesn't listen, he's allergic to her cats, and maybe he's done something unforgivable.

Exes suck. Cats rule.

This was one of those "What could this possibly be about" reads I picked up at random because, hey, I'm mostly a cat too.
I ended up enjoying it immensely more than I anticipated! Magic shops and wine and coffin clubs galore!

This is a book I didn’t want to put down. I loved everything from the mysterious and magical plot line to the clever use of language. The writer’s style is so unique and thought provoking.

Mostly Human, Mostly Cat - the second book of The Omnist Series - builds beautifully from Book 1 Consumia’s Spiritual Emporium (CSE) which introduces and sets the stage for the series. Mostly Human, Mostly Cat follows a small group of people and cats (connected to CSE) in an experience that is both unexpected and unforgettable! Author Rob Weldon invites us to see the world through “the blue filter of cat eyes” with a writing style that’s funny, engaging and profound. I felt like this group of humans and felines became my friends. All of Weldon’s books have this quality of familiarity but in this book I felt it even stronger. Maybe it’s because I’m a cat person?? I digress. Mostly Human, Mostly Cat combines an enthralling plot with sparkly and unique characters you can’t help but love for all of their quirky ways. Just like cats! And the plot often tapped back to CSE so I could peek into the shop and visit some of my favorites from Book 1. What a great read! I was sad when the story ended and hope to find these characters again in another Omnist book. On to Book 3!
