Quinn is finally enjoying the view from the top in her executive office. Her new position as CMO of a billion-dollar tech company keeps her just busy enough to avoid the gut-wrenching guilt and regret she’s carried around for three years, since the loss of her mother. No one else will see the monster she sees in the mirror as long as she keeps her head down and buried in her work. No one that is until Cody Kartlin comes barreling into the picture, determined to earn her heart by proving that when it comes to high-powered careers—real men aren’t afraid to let a woman take the lead.
Cody’s only had one true love—football. After a career-ending injury, he never thought he’d feel that spark of life again—until he laid eyes on Quinn. His new life game plan immediately becomes a slow play for Quinn’s heart.
When Quinn’s new promotion threatens to send her overseas, Cody gallantly offers to help her stop the transfer by exploiting a company policy loophole. The agreement is simple—Cody marries Quinn, and Quinn just… owes Cody one. It’s not long before what started as paperwork starts feeling like a whole lot more, but right when Cody thinks he’s secured a future with the girl of his dreams, his old flame creeps back into the picture.
A second chance at his football career will force him to choose—the girl, or the game.
I want to start this by saying how much I love this series. The books center around a group of 5 best friends and each book is one of their love stories. This book was Quinn and Cody’s story. We met Cody in Rewrite the Rules, I loved his personality and desperation to get Quinn’s number. I knew their book would be fun. Quinn is a workaholic and Cody is an ex NFL player recovering from a life altering back injury. Their banter was so much fun and Cody is a smooth talking, sexy beast of a man.
This book felt real, there was heartbreak and what felt like impossible situations at times. I highly recommended not only this book but the entire series so far! Reading these ARC’s I have been able to chat with the author Kay Cove. She is such an amazing and thoughtful human being and someone that I will continue to support through her entire career as an author.
This is book 3 in Kay Cove's series Love, Me and the 303. It's best if these are read in order, as some events take place at the same of other books and can spoil those. The series follows 5 girlfriends as they each find their HEA.
Owe Me One focuses on Quinn and Cody and their friendship that evolves into a relationship. I absolutely loved Cody in Rewrite the Rules, he stole the show for me in that book from Joel...sorry Joel....with his banter and witty comments. So of course this is my favorite in the series so far. And Quinn is just a badass, who is very independent and I loved seeing her grow.
Quinn is a hard working CMO of a technology company founded and headed by her father. She works hard to prove herself to her father and the company. She is holding on to a lot of guilt surrounding the death of her mother. Her rise in the company and her guilt are both threatening building a long lasting relationship with Cody.
Cody is a retired NFL superstar. due to a devastating on-field injury. He is the kindest, most patient, thoughtful, and emotionally intelligent male main character. He is willing to wait for Quinn to commit to a relationship with him while also providing emotional support to her.
Quinn is desperate when a situation arises that would cause her to leave her family and friends behind. Cody being the thoughtful man he is, agrees to marry her in during their stay in Vegas. I always love a good fake relationship/marriage trope. I loved reading the natural evolution of their relationship. Quinn has had the most growth out of the 3 friends we have seen so far in the series, imo.
Tropes: friends to lovers marriage of convenience slow burn - very slow but I'm okay with it bc the story was amazing! sports-ish romance
This book kept my interest from the beginning to the very last page! The dialog between all of the characters is so well written, and the various people make for a Great read!
I loved this third installment of the Love, Me, & the 303 series. [Honestly, have loved all of them!] This delves into the relationship of the ultra hot retired football star, Cody Kartlin & the workaholic, heiress Quinn Sabin. Their story spans the US from Denver to New York & through the full gamit of relationship statuses.
Another great romance by Kay Cove who offers not only steam, but a full array of emotions in her novels. She's quickly become a favorite & an automatic purchase when new books are released!
[Can be read as a standalone but I do recommend reading her other two novels in this series first. #1) Paint Me Perfect #2) Rewrite the Rules.
I really like Quinn and Cody. Their banter made me laugh more than once and I really felt like they were made for each other. Cody's soul focus after suffering an accident in the field (NFL), was Quinn. He felt that they were meant to be right from the moment they met. He really is a perfect book boyfriend. He was funny, attentive and would stop at nothing, for her to be happy. Even if it came at his cost.
And here's where I have mixed feelings for Quinn. I get that she has a whole lot of drama that needs addressing (therapy), but she never came close to looking after him, until it was (almost) too late, like he did for her. But she more than made up by the end of the book. I absolutely loved her go big or go home attitude, when she finally saw what she's done and would miss out on.
I've already said but it deserves repeating - these two were match made in heaven. I was pleased when they found a common ground, where they were BOTH happy and satisfied. I'm definitely coming back to this series because I got to say these girls are hilarious.

This sporty romance book tells the story of Quinn, an under 30 year old CMO of her family's company and Cody, a retired NFL player who is trying to find his way now that he can no longer play the game he loves (or so he thinks). Cody and Quinn started off as friends, but they both knew there was a spark there. The story begins in Vegas, where Quinn has drunkenly asked Cody to fly out and visit her and wakes up to find him naked in her bed. (spoiler alert: this book is steamy from the first few pages!). In an attempt to invoke a company clause that says she cannot be transferred within 6 months of a big life event, Quinn and Cody get married to prevent her from being forced to move to Singapore for at least the next 2 years. As you can probably guess, this fake relationship trope quickly turns into a real relationship.
Beyond the romance novel concepts and storylines are some really interesting underlying themes and storylines. As the story unfolds we find out that Quinn's mother past away about 3 years earlier, so around when Quinn was 26ish? Quite young anyway. There are some other relevant ideas that are part of this theme, for example, what you wish you could have said to the people you love, the choices you make when you decide between work and family, distracted or impaired driving and properly dealing with grief.
This book is the third in the series and while it can be read as a stand alone, I would definitely recommend starting with book one. There are a lot of background characters who have clearly been a big part of previous books and I think it would be easier to have gone in order. I also felt that the book started sort of abruptly and I wonder if having finished the second book right before reading this one might have impacted that a bit. So, if you only have this one and you're asking yourself "to read or not to read?" definitely read it, it is a great book, but if you have the chance to start with book one, I think I would recommend it. I will definitely be backtracking and grabbing a copy of the first book soon!
I would recommend this book to romance readers who enjoy some steamy scenes but also enjoy something with a bit more depth and character development. There are definitely some usual tropes and predictable storylines which are pretty standard for romance novels, but this book definitely goes beyond those surface-level plot lines. Thanks to Katie and Brey PA and the author for giving me the chance to be a part of this book tour and to read and review this book!
Quinn Banks-Sabin has finally worked her way up to Chief Marketing Officer in her Dad's company, Sabin Tech. She works grueling hours in order to avoid feeling anything since her mom passed away three years ago - all she knows is how to succeed. Due to a fight her mom and her had the night before she was killed, and the malicious words she spewed as her mother knocked on the door the night of, trying to apologize to Quinn, she can never forgive herself. She truly believes she is a monster.
When Cody Kartlin - former NFL player who was brutally tackled on the field, ending his career - walks into her life and changes everything. Quinn and Cody find themselves in a predicament after getting married in order to keep Quinn from relocating for work. But it's not long before Quinn starts to feel the same way about Cody as he does her, until Cody decides that he doesn't want to be the person who sits around waiting for his wife to maybe come home for dinner, he still has his own dreams.
My thoughts: I really, thoroughly enjoyed this book!! It was a Rollercoaster getting to know Quinn and how she operates. Getting to learn her backstory and why she thinks so badly of herself. Seeing the journey she had to take in order to heal from the loss of her mom was beautiful and heart wrenching. Cody is the sweetest and most caring person, and I fell in love with him immediately. And come on, THAT PROPOSAL!!!!😍😍😍 If I wasn't on Cody's side before, that would have done me over. The book is fast paced and exciting and I loved it🖤
ARC Book Review Owe Me One A Novel Written By Kay Cove Fiction - Romance Published 2022 357 Pages ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is the author’s third book in the Love, Me, & The 303 Series. Each book can by read as a standalone. All three are awesome, so I recommend reading all three to get the full enjoyment. The first in the series is Paint Me Perfect, and the second is Rewrite the Rules. I have read and reviewed both.
Owe Me One focuses on Quinn and Cody - their friendship that evolves into a relationship. These two characters are my favorites in the series. Can I pick favorites?
Quinn is a hard working CMO of a technology company founded and headed by her father. She works hard to prove her rise in the company is a result of her work ethic, not because she is the boss’s daughter. She is holding on to a lot of guilt surrounding the sudden death of her mother. Her rise in the company and her guilt are both threatening building a long lasting relationship with Cody.
Cody is a retired NFL superstar. His early retirement is a result of a devastating on field injury. He is the kindest, most patient, thoughtful, and emotionally intelligent male main character. He is willing to wait for Quinn to commit to a relationship with him while also providing emotional support to her.
Do career goals and dreams take precedent over our relationships? Is it ever beneficial to hold onto guilt?
The centerpiece of all three books is the friendship of five women - Amani, Noa, Adler, Quinn, and Reese. Noa, Adler, and Quinn were each focused on separately in the first three books. Please, Kay Cove, tell us that Amani and Reese will have their own books!
“How can you love two different things so much? How is it possible to get everything you want, then have to choose?” “ I dreamed about this girl before I even met her, and now that I finally have her in all the real ways, I can’t risk losing this.”
Thank you Katie and Brey PA and the author Kay Cove for giving me the opportunity to read and review all three books in the series.
✨ Let’s just start this review off by saying I loved so much about this entire series! Each book can be read as a stand alone and each story is so easy to love! Kay Cove takes us on a ride full of big emotions, beautiful friendships, and spicy scenes.
Owe Me One is the story of Quinn and Cody - we’ve seen them before but I was so excited to get to know them on a deeper level. Both have been through traumatizing experiences that effect them each day. Cody with his back injury and Quinn with the loss of her mom.
No matter the chemistry between the two Quinn wanted to run and hide from her feelings - I wanted to be her best friend and politely say, “you are being an idiot.” Cody is the man of her dreams and she was focused on anything but that. He would have done anything for her! ❤️
I am 100% team Cody! He’s a big cuddly bear with a heart of gold.
✨I loved watching the growth of these characters and that ending made me so happy!
I can’t wait to see what’s next from this author!
Thank you @katieandbrey and @authorkaycove for giving me the opportunity to read and review ❤️
About the book: Quinn is an independent woman. She knows what she wants. She is a workaholic just like her dad and is always in control. But behind all of this is a pang of guilt and regrets she is carrying in her heart for three years. Reasons why she drowns herself in work and closes her heart to a serious relationship. Cody used to be an NFL player. Football is his family, his world until a career-ending injury destroys his world. But when he met Quinn and get to know her more, his life became colorful again. He slowly tried to win her heart and he didn’t fail. But for Quinn, her work has a stronger place in her heart. Cody wants their relationship to work so he is willing to stay with Quinn and support her to go up the ladder of her career. Until his first love gave him a second chance. Will they pursue their relationship deeper or will they choose a separate path?
My Thoughts: The story is well written. It is smooth and has no boring parts. I love the humour which is so similar to Re-write the Rules. It always made me chuckle. I always love independent woman character and Cody compliment this with his soft heart. He is selfless in every aspect. His character is a little bit different from the usual male lead. He made this story sweet and romantic but not to make me cringe. I like the setting of how it ends but it’s a little bit predictable. However, what made me cry is what was in the red envelope. This sealed the deal for me to give this a 4.5-star rating. To take from this story is that work is just always there but you cannot bring it to your grave. But love will stay with you forever.
I've been loving this series and the group friends it's centered around!
Cody was an adorable cinnamon roll. I loved his goofy attitude and persistence with Quinn. His relationship with Sawyer was cute too.
I do have to say I had a hard time liking Quinn. Though she did redeem herself in the end, and I eventually warmed up to her, it took longer than I would have liked. Her unwillingness to compromise was definitely frustrating.
This was a cute, quick read though. I honestly finished it in day! Definitely worth the read!
Love, Me and the 303 has been one of my favorite series this year. Kay knows how to write a story that will stay with you for days to come. Owe Me One is book 3 in the series, and I knew it would be just as amazing as the 1st and 2nd book, and I was not wrong. Quinn and Cody were an amazing couple. They were 100% made for each other, and I loved the witty banter they shared. I laughed throughout this book and really enjoyed it. I'm always down for a good sports romance story, but this one was great and I devoured it. The MC's are very likable, the storyline is fun, and it's just a great read. Not only would I highly recommend this book, I would recommend the whole series
Alright it’s official Kay Cove is officially one of my favorite romance authors! This story was great! I love that the couple feels real. Cody and Quinn both have their own real life struggles that they have to overcome to be happy with their life. Watching the difficult choices and the pain of grief in them makes them so relatable and love able. I will admit thou fh I am definitely Team Cody!
My goodness. Following these characters through three books so far has been fun, wonderful, and at times, even frustrating. Quinn is the frustrating one for sure…but with good reason. She’s driven…as avoidance.
Cody lost his career, lost himself, but gained Quinn. He’s absolutely smitten…wait can men be smitten…sure, with Quinn! He’s there the moment she needs someone after a drunken night in Vegas. He changes so much for Quinn’s world, and also discovers more about himself.
So how do a CMO and a, potentially retired, football player fare when they have so much to learn about each other…and themselves? Cody is a miracle among miracles, and Quinn is learning to lean in. Is love all it’s cracked up to be…or does Quinn’s job mean more than anything she’s learned about everything in her time with Cody?
Let me start by saying I haven’t read the other books in this series and I do feel like I was missing a few pieces because of that. But besides that, I did generally enjoy this book! The MCs felt real and relatable and although I really didn’t like Quinn in the beginning, I learned to love her. Both characters (Quinn especially) went through some seriously awe-inspiring growth arcs and it was honesty so lovely to see.
I loved Cody from the start-he was everything my cinnamon roll dreams are made of! I loved that he fell first, and the ridiculous amount of pining-his flirting game is 🔥! I will say though, I do love that he realized that he mattered too and was able to make a hard decision.
This book was sweet and spicy and relatively fast paced, and I generally enjoyed it.
I was given an ARC by the author. All opinions are my own.
4.5 stars ⭐️ Kay cove has done it again! This 3rd instalment in the series can be read as standalone, but it makes it so much more worthwhile to read the first two! This was probably my favourite of the 303 series so far.
Cody and Quinn have a chemistry neither of them can deny. Cody is a football star teddy bear, and Quinn a dedicated and focused executive professional. Life goals and personal dreams stand in the way of them being together. Their story is one where we see if love and compromise is enough for true happiness with another.
I love the family dynamics of this book, and personal growth of the characters. I also loved to see that while they understood their love for each other , they weren’t willing to give up what was important to them for someone else. So many books have people shrink themselves to fit into the mould of someone else. This wasn’t the case with this story thankfully!
Thank you @authorkaycove and @katieandbreypa for the opportunity to read

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
This book was great! I fell in love with Cody and his playfulness right away. I’m always on the hunt for a boss ass babe and Quinn did not disappoint!!!
The pain and turmoil she had to overcome to see the future broke my heart. This author has a way of tugging your heart strings.
Owe me one by @authorkaycove (super fantastic author and human 💙)
This is the third book in the Love me & the 303. I love love Quinn and Cody’s story. They are my second favorite Kay couple. I connected so much on a personal level with some of the feeling Quinn goes through. I love Cody and his personality. And as always I love the ladies of the series.
Nothing makes me as happy as getting my hands one Kay Cove original💙💙 Thanks again @authorkaycove for letting me be a part of your street team and getting to enjoy your work!
I think this might be my favorite one yet! Book 3 of Love, Me and the 303 Series was so good. Lots of raw emotion with Quinns family and past. Cody is such a likable main character, and I really was routing for them both to have it all (love and career).
A friend's to lovers romance that had me laughing, crying and cheering. Nothing like a football romance in the fall!
Kay Cove has killed it again with the Love, Me and The 303 series.
Owe Me One is a friends to lovers romance about Quinn and Cody. When Quinn is forced to move to Singapore for work she begins searching for loopholes to avoid the move. A work policy states an employee in the first year of marriage can be excluded from mandatory relocation so Cody offers to marry Quinn to help her stay in Denver in exchange for an IOU.
Quinn is strong, badass female lead who takes no shit and hardworking almost to a fault, because of this Quinn is definitely a bit stuck in her ways. Quinn has trauma that she deals with daily and also is filled with guilt that she masks by working daily.
Cody is a football pro who got stuck with an early retirement due to an injury that cost him his career. Cody is such a brute of a man but is such a sweetheart, soft spoken and funny. Cody had been training Quinn’s brother Sawyer but Cody has been head over heels for Quinn since he met her.
Quinn doesn’t have time for relationships but Cody wants to be all in or nothing with her.
I really loved how both of the characters grew in this. I loved seeing Cody begin to put himself first but more importantly watching Quinn finally accept herself and learn what really matters most in her life.
This book will undoubtedly pull every emotion out of you. The perfect amount of sweet, funny, sad and sexy that Kay Cove always does perfectly.
If you love interconnected standalone series I promise you’ll love this series and the group of girls the series is based around.
💌 Are you all listening to me about @authorkaycove yet?! 💌
Because she's done it again with the Love, Me & The 303 series.
"Owe Me One," is standalone book number 3 in the series and we get to follow Quinn and Cody's relationship. And it's out TODAY! 📣
Kay's writing style pulls me in every time and the next thing I know, 5 hours have passed and I'm snotting down my face and rooting for the best dang love story ever!
The epilogue throws a lot of info at you in about 12 pages. Some of the events made me go "hmmm I'm not sure I would have guessed that would have happened 7 months later." But I'm not mad at the epilogue either. 😂
I'm totally in love with Cody and Quinn, and I will miss reading their story.
Kay Cove is back again with another touchdown of the 303 series. Book 3 is another ‘can be stand alone’ but why would you deprive yourself of the first two?
Quinn- boss babe, go-getter, emotional ice ~queen~ that comes in hot with the sass and sarcasm. Cody- flirty, giant teddy bear (no seriously, he’s a giant), mentor.
Quinn, I love you but I want to push you to the side so Cody can focus on chasing me instead. I also I kinda want to compete against Cody for your love too. I guess this leaves us in a situation where being a “throuple” is the only answer.
If you’re looking for a read that is hot and heavy, has a marriage of convenience (Vegas style), trying to win the girl over, and all the emotional mess that comes with someone who is denying themself the grief process and life-changing decisions- this is for you.
Let’s not forget the gang of side characters. My girl from ‘Rewrite the Rules’,Adler, is back and playing match maker! Quinn’s dad is equal parts infuriating and an absolute marshmallow (stick it out, he’s a winner) and the grandparents- I’ll take a book just on them please. The banter involving them had me laughing out loud. I’m not sure if I loved Grandma calling her husband a big ol’ buffoon in her southern drawl or grandpa comparing the “fancy” dinner to cat food more but they both need protection at all costs.
I’ll wrap this up to say the evolution of Quinn going from numb and not allowing her emotions to finally leaning into the good AND bad was beautiful. Watching all the small things in life finally bring her joy again was brilliant. I want Cody for the comfort and laughs in times of darkness and Quinn to be running the show and managing the chaos.
Absolutely perfect, everything I needed from Quinn’s story and more.
Kay loves to keep us on our toes so I wasn’t sure what we’d get from Quinn and Cody’s story but this was so much more it was just beautiful. Quinn and Cody have the sweetest bond, and seeing their relationship flourish into everything it was meant to be made my heart so happy. Love did not come easy for Quinn but Cody didn’t let it deter him and fought hard to get his girl which I admired so much.
The growth both characters experience was incredible as well Quinn and Cody are two completely different people when we first meet them then when we reach the epilogue but in all the best ways. They’ve each found not only what truly matters to them, but how to balance their personal and professional lives. They’ve made room in each other lives to be truly happy and I was so proud of both of them 🥹💕
I was already in love with the first two books, and this third one is another touchdown!
I loved that Cody is a massive teddybear. Usually the woman is the one who has to convince the guy that he loves her, but in this case it's the other way around. He is patient, let's her find her own way, and supports her decisions, all in the hope that she will see how head over heels he is for her.
And Quinn is such a smart, strong woman, who works her butt off to prove that women don't need to marry, have kids and be a stay at home mom to be able to live a fulfilling life. But she needs to come to terms with the fact that she still deserves love and can have a family without having to give up everything she worked so hard for.
This series has become one of my favourites, and I just know I'll be rereading them. I look forward to the next one!
This book was a easy 5 stars for me and here’s why. Both MCs are likeable and this starts with the male character is a big teddy bear who is the sweetest and wants the absolute best for everyone even though he’s dealing with his own baggage and trauma. Then meet the female main character she has so much baggage she doesn’t acknowledge it, until she’s forced to come to terms with her past and present. This romance and plot in this book mess so well together and the details put into this emotional story is very well done! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a emotional romance read with hot main characters 😩😍
going into this book, i had high expectations. i read Rewrite The Rules and i LOVED it, so i didn't think much could top it. however, i am so happy to say that this book topped it times ten. it was THAT good.
first, discussing the plot, i liked it. from chapter one i was hooked. it was interesting and a perfectly paced book, if i'm being honest. i really like how it's a marriage of convenience, but it only benefits Quinn, the female main character. it was definitely a different take on the whole trope; and i enjoyed it. i also liked how Quinn and Cody had this friendship built. yes, flirty friendship, but a friendship nonetheless. it was nice to read about, and i like how they didn't have to learn to trust each other or anything -- since most authors do that. the thing that i liked the most about this book was the depth. my biggest complaint was the Rewrite The Rules lacked depth. but from this book, it's far from the truth. i really like how we connect with the characters in the book, and we really get to know and understand them. it's such a refreshing change from book two.
for the characters themselves, i'm swooning. discussing Quinn first, i love how badass she is. she's the true definition of a modern female, and i ate it up. i really like how determined she is to make a name for herself, and she isn't letting anyone stop that. but the thing that i liked the most is her growth. seeing her grow and becoming vulnerable with Cody was one of the most beautiful things to read about. i'll be honest, this book had me tearing up a few times. and Cody? my man my man my man. can i have him? please? god i love him. i really like how gentle he was with Quinn, but still pushed her to do better. i also like how he didn't mind that she "lead" the relationship; something many men cannot stand. but, my favorite thing about Cody was his compassion. he loved Quinn so much that he was willing to give up his DREAMS for her; and i think that's a true man. now the side characters were great. as always, i loved that Joel and Addie made features -- especially since i'm still not over their book. and i loved that the other girls in the group also made appearances, as well. as for Sawyer, who was the biggest side character, he was great. he added such a funny touch onto his story, and i hope to see more of him in the future. i also liked all of Quinn's family -- her father, her mother, and her grandparents. all great additions.
now, this next chapter will contain spoilers. blah blah blah, you know how it goes. read at your own discretion. THAT ENDING?! CAN WE TALK ABOUT IT?! the ending was everything i needed and more. i love how Quinn gave up everything to be with Cody. once she finally realized that she wanted him for forever, she was in it for good. it was so perfect. although, them breaking up on the football field after Cody proposed had me almost crying. bro that was SO SAD. anyways, what Cody did on the football field was so sweet and i definitely would've been on hands and knees for that man. ANYWAYS, i'm actually in love with this whole book. although, the spice lacked a lil bit. Addie and Joel were wayyy spicer, but that's okay. i can overlook that.
overall, this book was so good. i'm gonna obsess over it for days and probably reread it fifty times. i just love this whole book and i'm super excited to see where the rest of the series goes.
Owe Me One is available now in Paperback and eBook! ⭐️⭐️⭐⭐⭐ Book Review
Meet the Author: Kay Cove loves hiking on snow-capped mountains, blowing raspberries on her sons’ super pudgy baby belly, and heated debates with her husband about topics such as the difference between turtles and tortoises, Marvel trivia, and who misplaced the remote. Kay has been writing for what feels like forever. She finally decided at age thirty to start writing the stories she loves to read and to actually share the novels she poured countless hours, tears, sweat, and coffee into.
Synopsis: After a drunken bout in Vegas, Cody is at Quinns beck and call, jumping on an airplane at the drop of a hat, no questions asked. Quinn carries baggage following those derogatory comments she made all those years ago. She doesn’t deserve anything good in life being the monster that she is. Cody lost his chance with his football career following a back injury. He didn't think he would ever have a second chance. When the chance comes Cody has to decide, the girl or the game. Whose side will you be on? #teamcody or #teamquinn
Reader’s Thoughts: OMG! Kay Cove has won me over AGAIN! I think I say this every book, but I just can’t get enough of the Love, Me, & the 303 series. Although this book was the third in the series, it could easily be read as a standalone. This one was slow to start for me but picked up fairly quickly and I devoured the book. The story of Quinn and Cody kept me on the edge of my seat wanting more. I love how Cove writes her characters so the reader feels every emotion. They are realistic and relatable. You won’t want to miss the final installment of this series. I can’t wait to see what else Cove has up her sleeve. Thank you, @authorkaycove for providing me with a complimentary review copy. In no way has that influenced my voluntary review.
Warning: Owe Me One is an emotional contemporary romance that features Hallmark vibes but does not scrimp on the hot spicy scenes.
"This ones for mothers and daughters with unbreakable bonds, who may fight hard, but always love harder."
Now this book... this book showed the true dedication it takes from both sides of a relationship to fight for what they love while fighting for each other.
Quinn just got her dream job as a CMO for her families billion-dollar tech company causing her to be a workaholic to prevent herself from being a disappointment to her mom. Cody was an NFL player until one illegal tackle took the one thing he loved away from him- football.
One night Quinns CMO position is threatened to be transferred over seas- but when in Vegas people get married.. For love? or for a paperwork stunt?
The intertwining of emotions and the dedication to their jobs brings a whirlwind of emotions. I felt every emotion and every bit of sorrow. This book was beautifully executed and honestly could not be written any better. The two different personalities flowed perfectly with each other and made the love towards the couple so much stronger.
So this rating could potentially be better. This felt like a me situation for this one. I need to binge read books and not spread them out and because of my week this was spread out throughout the whole week that I was just ready to be done and not for the good reasons. The FMC wasn’t my favorite, I understand she was grieving but it also annoyed me at the same time. It’s hard to discuss it because it had all the elements I would love, but because of how long it took me I just couldn’t love it. So it’s not my favorite in the series but it’s also because of my own doing too. I can’t take 7 days to read a 300 page book, personally for me I can’t do that.
i fell in love w cody in the second book and for the life of me i cant find any damn flaws in this man hes so perfect istg i love that the fmc (quinn) was the one to own up and apologise for their rift - tbh i just loved them they were so cute together. bro cody istg i cant get over him - cody and joel are dream team husbands i cant cope anyways this one was amazing, i feel like the build up was fantastic, just like the previous book. reeces story im hyped for but the buildup WASNT as intense as for addie and quinn so im not dying to read it (its not out yet but🙄🙄) bro the authors writing fr improved since the first! (not as🌶 as addies book)
slayed
