Homicide detectives Liv DeMarco and Brad Fennel have one of the best closure rates in the department, but this case has them stumped. Will they figure out who had means, motive, and opportunity, or will the killer actually get away with murder?
People aren't supposed to fly, so when a woman crashes into the roof of a car parked outside an exclusive hotel, the first thing Detective Liv DeMarco has to determine is if she jumped or if she was pushed. A party was raging on the roof at the time of the alleged murder, so finding witnesses shouldn't be that difficult. Someone must have seen the woman go over, but no one's talking.
To complicate matters, a call from Axel Kincaid has Liv second-guessing everything. Kincaid has information concerning the woman and the party guests. But what he has to say doesn't make a lot of sense.
Unsure what or who to believe, Liv and her partner Brad will have to reconstruct the scene and piece everything together bit by bit, but nothing is as it seems. And when half the suspects also have motive and opportunity, it might be impossible to determine exactly what happened on that roof and who is to blame.

Axel is so confusing. I wish Liv would give him a chance but I like Ɓrad too. I think Brad likes Liv but they are partners. What is Axel really into? Will the mob get involved? So many choices. Will there be a hit out on Brad, Ĺiv, or Axel? Where is the next book g going. Great writing, great suspense, great story.
Live and Brad respond to a murder scene, A woman was stabbed then thrown off of a 6th floor balcony landing on and totaling a car. It starts with a phone call from Alex with a tip and after a convoluted investigation they finally get enough clues to get the guy that did it and the guy behind it. Love this author but I kind of got tired of the constant circling.
This is a great book. It keeps you wondering who done it until the very end. This is a great thriller. I highly recommend this book. I can't wait for the next book to come out. Loved it.
Great characters, great plot and writing. I always look forward to everything GK Parks writes...however, this is getting borderline on the situation between Liv, Brad & Axel. I'm a big fan of Detective Fennel.
A murder mystery. A woman is supposedly thrown from a hotel balcony while a party rages on the roof. Liv and Brad detectives assigned to solve the murder. A lot of loose ends and sends them in many directions searching for the killer. Will they find the murderer or will the person get away?
Love these books and the tension with Brad....i wish they would go for it. Belong together Really not crazy about Axel at all. As usual the story was great and kept me guessing till the end. Love these books
I am reading this series for the second time. This is definitely one of my favorite books in this series. I love the mystery, and the plot. I also like Liv/Brad/Axel dialogues/plot lines. I wish there were a lot more books in the series.
Got very interesting at the end and I want to know what happens next. Trying to wait patently for the next book but might have to read the other series Alex Parker while I wait again.
