Growing up, there's so much to figure out with friendships, self esteem and why people do what they do particularly with bullying. The bullied can become a bully with a snap of the finger. Seeing Sante reflect on this gentle balance showed refreshing insight and reflection particularly as a teen. Urging the reader to see a fuller picture of what a protagonist or antagonist looks like. Neither this or that. Nobody is perfect, we're just seeing how people deal with the same experience/s differently or in a way they know how at that time.

I grabbed this thinking it might be a quick read to discuss bullying- but I really have an issue with the way the book solves the characters' problems. Essentially it says that the way you should deal with a bully is by beating them up, and then beating up a few other people so that people fear you. Not my favorite message to send high school kids.
This book is about boys and they are fat and some people don't like them so its this group called the blades and they like to mess with them and beat them up and this guy name Tino and he was a new guy at school so the blades some of the blades tried to beat him up and they are the ones who got beat up.
