On November 21st, the mayor switched the orenda off for five days and five nights to punish the residents of Cumberland. It was the first day of snow, and since we use orenda for warmth and light, many suffered greatly. Not me. I revel in the dark and rarely feel the cold. The shadows are where I perform my work without being seen. Demons are my target. Bones are my weapons. The Obscurum is my armor.
Everything was going to plan until a tall, dark stranger began to appear at every kill. I never see his face, but I sense that he is neither enemy nor ally. It isn't until he turns up on my doorstep, claiming to know my dead father and with an offer to protect me, do I discover who and what he really is. Obscurum is a dark age-gap VW(vampire + witch) MF romance with an obsessive MMC. This story is set in the modern world and ends on a cliffy.
Trigger non-con and forced birth( not involving the main 2 characters), death, bloodplay, biting, the macabre, violence, murder and execution-style killings, demon breeding, and explicit sex scenes.
The story and world building is interesting but this book just isn't written well and clearly wasn't edited. Scenes start to feel rushed or even like they were written by someone else or AI. The characters don't have consistent personalities and the main love interest is very unsexy
Countless typos and grammatical errors. Needs a thorough editor. Sex scenes seem unrealistic. I liked the characters, but not enough to make me want to read another.
