My high school sweetheart is now a smoking hot billionaire. But I won’t let him break my heart again. I know all about his many flings and his player status. I won’t be fooled by his charm. But one unexpected night out on the town lands me in hot water…with him. And now I’m staring at two lines on the pregnancy test.
He tells me I’m the one who got away, the one he’s never been able to replace. I try to resist his deep green eyes and the way they undress me with just a look. They remind me of his heat and the husky way he used to say my name. Of the way he melted my heart…then shattered it.
But it’s not just me that I need to think about, because our little girl is growing in my belly. He says we can make it work, that he’s willing to sacrifice. But I don’t want to trap him because of the baby. I don’t want him to settle for something he doesn’t really want.
Can I believe it when he says that he wants to be the daddy of our little family?
The West Coast Alpha Billionaires series is where wealthy playboys will make your blood boil … and your heart race. These sought-after womanizers have many dates, but they date no one. Until they cross paths with their divine feminine, and she finds the way to her man’s heart.
18+ only
I originally titled this series “Alpha Billionaires” and changed it to “West Coast Alpha Billionaires”.
Ever since she was in her teens, Isla has relished the escapism romance novels offer, becoming obsessed with the genre. She feels there is something comforting and at the same time liberating in knowing that, no matter the trials and tribulations her favorite protagonists may go through, a happy ending always awaits them.
In her own writing, Isla enjoys the process of creating complex characters that are captivating and seductive, even when tested by the rollercoaster that is life. She loves intermixing adversity and setbacks with hot and steamy scenes, before giving her creations the happily ever after they deserve.
Isla describes herself as a hopeless romantic and lives in Boston, Massachusetts, with the love of her life, Andy. Isla and Andy share a big circle of friends and never miss an occasion to organize fun get-togethers, delicious cookouts and laughter-filled karaoke nights.
Instead of finishing on a high note, I felt I finished the series on a “meh” note. While it was a good story, it wasn’t what I expected. The story basically talks about the process of Noelle’s pregnancy and going through the motions. I felt like I was reading a biography of someone’s life and I had hoped there would be more romancing and fighting for each other in this. I felt it was one sided and only on Ryan’s part. Noelle didn’t want anything to do with him most of the book and was just using him to fulfill needs it felt like. I didn’t think that was fair to Ryan in the fact that he was the only one trying. I get that Noelle was hurt, but I would think he proved his worth to her and wanted to give them a try. I want to give this book lower than a 4, but I did enjoy the story and wasn’t that disappointed though I wished it was written differently. Maybe it gets a lower rating on my part because it was a different way of looking at a pregnancy and I wanted more of what I’m used to. I felt like this book fell short with the romance aspect. I hope there’s going to be a story for James in the very near future, perhaps if that’s the case the author can redeem herself with his story.

This is the third book in the series about 4 billionaire men who find their love. Unlike the first two books, this one is unpleasant. Ryan Braxton is a rich attorney who gets bored practicing law in California and decides to buy 2 bars/clubs in NYC. The clubs are an8 instant success. Right. He meets his former high school sweetheart, Noelle Owen at the club. They drink, have sex, she gets pregnant. Noelle is totally unpleasant. They broke up 14 years ago when he left for college. She moved to NY and became a RN. She has one friend and works in a major hospital. She refuses to forgive him. She refuses to move to California where their friends and families live. Everything has to be done her way. This book is not recommended although it continues the saga of the four friends.
