From Nantucket, With Love

Rate this book
The Copperfield Family celebrates the holidays for the first time in twenty-five years -- but secrets from the past continue to haunt them. Christmas was always Greta Copperfield's favorite time of year. Memories from that first Christmas with Bernard in Paris are some of her favorite -- times before marriage, before children, and even before The Copperfield House, when the love she had for Bernard was the only thing she really understood. But all that was so long ago. Now, as the world comes to terms with the fact that Bernard Copperfield spent twenty-five years in prison for crimes that he did not commit, Greta stirs with confusion about her own past and future, yet still welcomes back the entirety of The Copperfield Family for a holiday season none of them will ever forget. Can she and Bernard find a way to love one another again, even after so much time apart? And can her children truly find a way to heal after so many years of trauma? Dive into book four of this women's fiction series set on the Island of Nantucket. A glorious world of beautiful beaches, frothing waves, cobblestone streets, and a beloved cast of characters. The series tells the story of the Copperfield Family, their return to Nantucket Island, and their healing after decades of pain and loneliness. Together, they can be better than ever before.

A sweet Christmas story filled with second chances, forgiving and rebuilding lives. Greta and Bernard Copperfield have been reuniting after Bernard spent 25 years in prison. After it was determined he was innocent, he was released from prison. Bernard and daughter Julia are cris-crossing the country doing book tours and book signings. Meanwhile Greta is struggling to find her way in life. When she meets up with a friend from the past, Victor Van Damm.

A spur of the minute trip to Paris, allows Greta to make decision about her future. Will Greta and Bernard be able to reconnect and build a future together.

Lots of family support from their daughters and grandchildren, help with rebuilding the family. The books also uses flashbacks to fill in background information.

Thank you to the author for this ARC. This review is my honest opinion

I was so happy to read this story about Greta. It's not really about Greta and Bernard - but one of Greta and her past life in Paris and finding love but also losing herself a little bit. When she starts trying to find herself again at 70 - she doesn't know if her life should include her great love Bernard. But from Paris to Nantucket and back to Paris - we learn about their love and how strong and pure it truly is. What a fantastic book!

I love this series. Book 4 focuses on the love affair between Bernard Copperfield and Greta Richards, the heads of the Copperfield family on Nantucket Island. The intelligent, beautiful and vibrant Greta has deteriorated and lost all of her zest of life while her husband spends 25 years in prison. When Bernard returns home, she faces the truth about herself. She has to try to become the woman she was in her youth, and she is the only one that can make this happen. The scenes in Paris in the past and present are wonderful. I really appreciate the originality of the whole series. Storylines and characters are clearly delineated. Love and family are central. I highly recommend this book.

From Nantucket with Love is book 4 in a Nantucket Sunset series by Katie Winters with the Copperfields Christmas celebration after 25 years

Greta and Bernard are trying to figure out their lives after Bernard is released from prison after 25 yrs apart. Their journey from the first time they met, an unplanned pregnancy, moving back to the US, marriage, opening up Copperfield House and all the subsequent happenings that lead to Bernard’s prison sentence…how Greta’s life was turned upside down and so much more…

Can these two find their way back to each other? Only time, a trip back to Paris will tell. Such an emotional story!

A look at Bernard and Greta and how his 25 years in prison and his subsequent return has affected them both. Has their love vanished? Has Greta lost the person she was when they first met? Only a trip to the place they met may enlighten them to their future. Lovely story for Christmas and the Copperfield family.

A love That Will Last Forever

Once again Katie Winters has brought her readers back to b visit with one of our favorite families. Bernard and Greta have had a tough twenty five years while Bernard has been in prison. He is out and home but things are still not back to normal. What will help them, can they be helped, how will they help their oldest and his family and will this love survive? Reading this book shows just how love survives.

This was Greta's story, to rediscover herself as the matriarch of the Copperfield family. A trip back to Paris, where Greta first met Bernard, the love of her life, made everything clear and set her path for the future! Really enjoying this series, with the stories being easy reads, and very heartwarming story lines. 8 out of 10
