Moody Under the Mistletoe

Rate this book
A filthy-mouthed Scrooge.
Instalust ignites when gorgeous elementary teacher Jules Morgan moves in next door to PF Grange during the height of the festive season. But this broody blue-collar boy with his miserable memories despises all things Christmas, while crafty Ms. M. can’t stop decking her halls. Holy skin-tight leggings, just his friggin luck.

A yuletide-happy beauty.
Offering to nurse a muscly alpha into the holiday spirit seemed like a swell idea, but maybe there are beasts not even a tinsel-bright optimist can tame. Here’s hoping this temporary house guest mellows out with a spiked eggnog or three and takes a peek at her naughty wish list… Penned in delicious detail under the sheets with a single tatted grump in mind.

Incredible chemistry, a tumble on the ice, and a mega misunderstanding… Ho-ho, oh no!

It’s all Rhett and Scarlett’s fault.

(Talkin' the grand staircase scene, people.)

Stung by the literary lovebug at a tender young age, JC has been devouring steamy romantic fiction ever since. Seriously… What could possibly be more delectable at the end of a rough day than a big, bad, moody brute brought to his alphalicious knees by a gorgeous, sassy-talking heroine?

Well, besides Tom Hardy showing up shirtless on your doorstep with car trouble.

Penning “I wish” fantasies while slogging through the woefully Rhett-scarce world, JC invites readers to indulge in decadent escape through her foulmouthed, passion-saturated tales.

Uh. You did hear foulmouthed, right?

A quick, steamy holiday story. I enjoyed this one....and as a grinch myself, I really liked PF.

Jules just moved in next door and they couldn't be more different as she loves Christmas. But grumpy or not, she cannot help but drool over her new neighbor.

But then unforeseen circumstances bring them together so things get a little spicy.

Their chemistry is off the charts and may have made my kindle smoke a little.

When it comes to Christmas love novels I am all in. Especially when the books are shorter in pages and very very spicy. This is the case with this one. This book was really really good. PF was your typical grumpy hero who needed...how can I say it...his Christmas inspiration in the form of a young, cute and funny heroine named Jules 🤫.

The attraction between them was soo strong that it was coming out of the pages. The smut was soo soo good that I literally couldn't wait for the next page of their story.

Overall for me this was the perfect spicy novella and it definately set my Christmas mood and of course reading.

I received an ARC copy of this book and this was my voluntary review.

I received a copy of this arc in exchange for my honest review. This is a grumpy/sunshine Christmas romance, with a filthy mouth MMC. This was a really quick and fun read. This author is great for a low angst, steamy and fun read, and a main male character with a 𝒇𝒊𝒍𝒕𝒉𝒚 𝒎𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉.
Jules has recently moved in next-door to PF, crushing on him through her window as he works outside. He can’t get enough of seeing her in her cute tight leggings every day. Because of his upbringing, he hates Christmas. She on the other hand, is ALLLL about it. When he has an accident, she is there to help him recover. It doesn’t take long for the chemistry between the two of them to 𝒆𝒓𝒓𝒖𝒑𝒕.
This was a fast paced story, the characters were super fun and the spice was perfect! I love how this book ended with the two of them set a little bit into the future, it makes me want to read more about them as their life continues! This is a great weekend read to get ready for the holidays !

Pf hates Christmas, I mean everything and anything that has to do with this holiday has him ready to go Hulk smash on it, but he has his reasons for this. Jules is Pf’s complete opposite where he despises the holiday, Jules LOVES it. She goes all out for it from decorating to the clothes she wears and as Pf’s new neighbor it irritates him like no other. As a series of funny accidents lead them to each other their attraction is high, but Jules continuous mention of “her Georgie” has Pf seeing red. The whole story is hilarious especially when it comes to their constant miscommunication, but the steam that level is beyond hot and then some. Pf and that mouth of his just made this story for me and their funny banter was icing on the top. This may be a quick read but if you love funny moments with a hot alpha dirty talking man this book is for you.

So again, this book is a tad chaotic between what’s really happening and what’s an inner monologue. It’s a very true grumpy/sunshine where PF (MMC) is a grumpy, Christmas hating dude all around and Jules is a ray of sunshine who lives for Christmas. They are neighbours and do seem to have an instant love attraction. This book is very smutty (borderline minimal plot vs lots of smut) and a quick read. If you need a quick pick me up read for the holiday and love angsty, foul mouth characters, this is the book for you.

This was a hot read about two people who couldn't be more opposite during the holidays.
Grange hates everything to do with Christmas, but one look at his saucy neighbor in her yoga leggins and the most hilarious case of mistaken identity may just change his mood.

Everything JC Jaye is known for, the steam and dirty talking alphas, plus some Christmas joy.
I love everything about it!

Yes yes and more yes! A perfect start of the Christmas season with a foulmouthed, Christmas hating PF and a ray of sunshine, Christmas lover Jules.
Man the inner thoughts coming from PF made my kindle blush in the best sort of way. This story is full of steam and some great laughs. This was my first story from JCJaye and definitely will not be my last!

Jules has moved in next to single, sexy and tatted up PF. PF hates Christmas and Jules is all in for it. An accident has them spending time together getting to know each other. This is a short, steamy holiday read that was enjoyable.

Moody Under The Mistletoe is a quick and steamy read.
Jules who just moved into the neighbourhood and who absolutely loves everything Christmas & PF the moody Christmas grump.
Both have the hots for each other and there's sparks, a misunderstanding and plenty of dirty talk. And when I say plenty, I mean a lot...
A lot of monologue on both sides and even more steamy thoughts...
If that's your go to , then you'll love this quick and fun Christmas novella.
Jules and PF are likeable and their internal monologues were fun to read and the other quirky characters fit right in there too...

I received an ARC for an honest opinion and I really enjoyed reading this book!

I was kindly gifted this Arc in exchange for a review and oh. My. God.

I knew I'd liked the grumpy/sunshine trope but PF was a whole new level of grump and I was so here for it. The spice was so spicy, I had to take a break from reading once in a while.

Although, I have to say, the one thing that annoyed me was Jules and Kimberly - as much as I liked the grumpy/sunshine aspect, i felt that Jules was too much of a sunshine. And Kimberly.... I found Kimberly to be way too annoying to bear.

What a fun angsty Christmas read. PF hates everything about christmas that stems from his mother. when his hot new neighbor is all about the cheery holiday fun the grumpy grinch comes out. Jules is so excited for the holiday and for her Georgie coming home but she also spies her hot new neighbor and can't help but catch glimpses of him when she can. When one day she finds him flat on his back in the snow with a busted wrist she is determined to take care of him. These two have incredible chemistry and one day start to give in to their feelings when he remembers Georgie coming home and freaks out and leaves. These two struggle being apart and she is confused as to why he left. He feels she is not being truthful. Things just get better and hotter once the truths are revealed even when they run into every bad luck to keep them from hitting the sheets. This book is a fun read and wow we have two very dirty talking characters that will make you blush. JC Jaye really knows how to write fantastic characters that make you smile and give you a fun dirty talking read you won't forget.

JC nails getting me into the holiday spirit with this sinfully delicious and hilarious holiday romance.

This story is a hilarious, fast paced romance with a grumpy alpha that falls hard for his Christmas loving sunshine. JC had me cackling over Jules and PF’s inner monologues and drooling over PF’s dirty talk. I really enjoyed how this talented author built these characters, they couldn’t be any more drastically different and she made them work perfectly.

It’s low angst, high level chemistry, and just the right amount of steam and laughs without making it super sappy and I love it so much. Definitely one I am happy I added to my library and will be revisiting anytime I am in the mood for some holiday cheer.

Moody Under the Mistletoe by JC Jaye is Freaking Fantastic! This is my first book by Ms. Jaye and I am hooked. I loved how she wrote the character's point of view. We are immersed in their heads on a level one doesn't usually find. It was very refreshing! PF and Jules are neighbors on a path to collide within a kaleidoscope of emotions, confusion, desire, and steam. So much steam, and not the "this is good steam" kind! We are talking the HOT, Freaking DAMN!

It is a quick, fun read that leaves the readers wanting more excitement and shenanigans from Ms. Jaye! I definitely recommend this one! @theoriginialmrsp

Moody Under the Mistletoe is the perfect Christmas story to heat up your life. This spicy, slowburn, grumpy/sunshine was a quick simple read. I enjoyed the plot and characters, and I definitely wouldn't mind a PF in my life. Hes so grumpy, a total scrooge, but his alpha side and filthy mouth did it for me. And Jules, she is such a cute, bubbly, ray of sunshine who loves everything there is to offer when it comes to Christmas. Watching her break down PF's walls and sneak into his heart was the best. And damn, if she doesn't have a filthy mouth on her too. I laughed, I swooned, I blushed, but mostly I fell in love with the characters and storyline. I would definitely recommend this one.

The theme of PF hating Christmas and falling for Jules who adores her seemed very funny to me, I liked the chemistry between the protagonists, and how the personalities of each one are contrary.

But I really felt that the story started very rushed, the internal dialogues of PF distracted me from the story, and believe me, I like the protagonists to talk dirty, but it seemed to me that it was too much. I really wanted to like it but I just couldn't get hooked on the story.

OK. I am no prude but there was far too much profanity and not enough story content. PF and Jules are new neighbours. Jules lusting after PF shoveling snow and PF lusting after her as she moves in next door. She is mad about Christmas while he hates it. When he falls and needs looking after, Jules offers him her place to stay with her so she can look after him. The inevitable eventually happens but not for a long time. Read an ARC for an honest review.

The title says it all! Grumpy-sunshine! LOL What a great way to jump into the holiday season!

I was rooting for Jules!

I love great dialogue, and man, PF's mouth! I'm sure he'd be doing a lot of washing that mouth out with soap if his mom heard that! But, talk about steaming up my reader!

I definitely wanted Jules to break down his grumpy Christmas walls!

I enjoyed getting to know these two! And starting the journey to my own happy holidays!

3.5 rounded up, PF is a Christmas hating foul mouth. Where Jules loves Christmas. They are not just neighbors but complete opposite, however they do have good chemistry. I will admit Simon made the story for me. The whole misunderstanding about George was a bit comical too. It is my first read my JC Jaye and even though I may not have absolutely loved it, it was not bad. I will still read more from this author.

Quick and Dirty

This quick dirty alpha romance was amazing. PF hates Christmas but when he injures himself Christmas loving Jules comes to his rescue. Misunderstandings and lack of communication almost ruin what could be. PF is a jealous alpha and it’s HOT! This was off the charts steamy.

PF Grange is anti-everything merry and festive during the holiday season. That is until he sees his brand-new neighbor Jules, in her flurry of holiday cheer. Despite PF’s grumpy exterior, he definitely more than “admires” the lovely new Christmas-obsessed object of his daydreams who makes it her mission to get him in the holiday spirit.
PF brings filthy-mouthed to a whole new level! Like, a 25 out of 10!!! 😜🔥🥵🌶 Not that Jules is really any less in her sassy way. Loved these two characters together and their mega chemistry! JC Jaye definitely brings the 🌶🌶🌶!!

PF is the moodiest grump I have ever met and I love him!!! The perfect grinch. He really is the embodiment of a grump for this steamy, grumpy/sunshine, Christmas read. While his neighbor Jules is the Christmas loving sunshine in the dual POV read.

Brought together because of an winter accident their chemistry only builds more. But when it started getting hot a misunderstanding tears them apart. Can PF change his ways and stop being moody long enough to hear Jules out?

If you like dirty talking grumps…this is the book for you. It being a Christmas story is just an extra bonus. PF is single, moody and has a new neighbor. To make things worse his new neighbor loves Christmas…he hates it. Jules just moved and can’t believe her luck. Her neighbor is hot and sexy but he is extremely moody. When an unfortunate accident has them spending time together they learn a lot about each other. PF has some major emotional walls up, can she knock them down so they can have a chance at something real? This was a fun hot read with a great story. These two have great chemistry and laugh out loud banter. When things really get steamy the things that come out of PF’s mouth. Boy was he burning up the pages with just his words! I have read a few books by this author and I really enjoy her writing style and amazingly intense characters. I’m already looking forward to reading the next book.
