Spending time with my nemesis never felt so good. Carson Brooks has been my enemy since the day he moved to Lakeview and tried to drown me in a rogue wave. Not only are we enemies, but we're not quiet about it either. We're polar opposites. Where I'm a perfectionist and methodical in all things, he is carefree and the life of the party. While Carson tries to trip me in the halls on a regular basis, I'm busy glaring holes through his disgustingly thick skull. Oh, and did I mention I'm best friends with his little brother? Talk about inconvenient. But it's our senior year and my life is unraveling. My parents are at each other's throats, I have yet to hear back about early admissions at the college of my choice, and I have no date to the Snowflake Ball. So, when Carson whacks me in the face with a basketball during gym class, I snap. I go for his throat--literally. Now Lakeview's principal is giving us a face suspension or find a way to work together on the holiday Angel Project. Great. As if living in a war zone weren't enough, now I have to spend time with the enemy. But as tensions rise and we begin spending time together, I realize there's more to Carson Brooks than his cocky exterior. Maybe I like him more than I thought. Maybe a little too much.
**This book was previously published as Falling For My Nemesis (Sweet Water High series).
It was a cute read I can’t say much about it though like I did the others.
But I can say I did enjoy it. Plus I figured that Carson had a thing for Mia. & Ethan was going to get jealous at one point. Especially when Carson and Mia started getting close and hanging out. But it was good that Mia explain to him especially when he been hanging out with Beth a lot..
Plus u was also glad that Mia finally told off Olivia that girl was sooo annoying and was jealous. I think she knew deep down that Carson liked Mia and she tried everything to ruin everything for Mia… but in the end it didn’t work because only person Carson wanted was Mia… & he got the girl… while Mia finally got a letter from Duke university about being accepted…
Love Notes was previously published under Falling For My Nemesis so this was the second time I have read this. This was a great quick read. I love the enemies to lovers stories. The characters were really good and relatable. I loved the chemistry between Ethan, Mia, and Carson. Forcing Mia and Carson to work together was a perfect way for them to open up to each other and for Mia to see a new side to Carson. I LOVED that this story included Carson’s POV. I just wish Carson had spoken up a little sooner about how he felt about Mia instead of teasing her. They wasted 9 years after the beach incident because they thought they hated each other. I do wish we got to see more from Beth and Ethan and how the dance went down since that was a decent part of the book.
Mia's life these days is anything but perfect. With parents on the verge of divorce, no early college acceptance letters and no date for Sweet Water’s Snowball Dance, life couldn't get much worse, or so she thought.
Carson Brooks and Mia have been enemies for years. Their battles are legendary and strange given Carson’s younger brother Ethan is Mia’s best friend. So when an incident at school lands Carson and Mia in the principal's office, the resulting peer remediation finds them both responsible for The Angel Tree Project, a undertaking that will force the two to work peacefully together.
As Mia and Carson begin their project she didn’t expect to find a tender side of Carson. He works on the Angel Project with energy and compassion, something that surprises Mia and when as she begins to develop feelings for Carson, it appears hebhas feelings for her too, and the more time she spends with him, the more confused she becomes, until brother Ethan gets jealous and everything comes to a head.
Love Notes is the final book in The Lakeside Prep series by Gracie Graham. The storyline is sweet and entertaining The conflict between the three characters is there from the beginning and when sparks begin to fly between Mia and Carson, the story takes off and the romance really begins. A sweet YA novel to be enjoyed by readers both young and young at heart.
3.5 Stars I do love me some enemies to lovers. I loved how much Carson paid attention to the little things that Mia does. It was good that even though Carson never hated Mia, Mia really did hate Carson, which helps the enemies to lovers. Ethan and Mias friends ship was amazing, there was two parts of the book where I did just want to yell at him, but other then that, I am glad she has a friend like Ethan. I do wish we got to see when Ella came home from college, and a chapter of both Carson and Mia in college as I feel like it would be good to see them a bit further in the future.
Mia is been best friend with Ethan since they met nine years ago but she’s can’t stand his brother Carson. He is always picking at her and she avoids him whenever she can. But after a fight at school they need to team together. Can they realise that there is something between them? Can Carson help Mia in a very difficult situation and show her his true feelings? A sweet love story.
Cute read. One of my favourite tropes- enemies to lovers. Two brothers, one girl . One brother -girl's bff. The other -her enemy who has always been in love with her. Can the relationships work out?Story of new starts, new realities. You'll love Carson and Mia's story.
Undoubtedly the best book in the series, so far. I loved the characters and they were well developed. The plot was not drawn out and I couldn't keep the book down. Overall a very well written book with a beautiful story line.
This was fine, although I would have liked a bit more development with the love story. Writing was pretty solid and I loved everything having to do with the Angel Tree project.
Overall I liked it but I can’t get over the way Carson treated Mia. Spreading rumors, physically “pranking” her. Not ok. The apologies were way too casual.
Carson’s POV was everything!!! This book is the same one from the Sweetwater Series, previously named “Falling for my Nemesis.” It revolves around Mia and Carson, and like the title suggests, it’s an enemy-to-lovers romance. In the original book, we get only Mia’s POV. But in Love Notes, we have Carson’s POV as well as some additional content, which I’m so here for!! I absolutely adored their banter and Mia’s snarky comments. But I also love the vulnerability and rawness of the characters. Definitely recommend for that comfort read, wholesome and cute romance 🥰
