Isabelle has one love in her life, and that’s her paranormal romance novels. She has no family, no friends, and has always been an outsider, even now that she’s attending college. But Issy has a secret—she has a few special gifts that make her feel more at home in the world of fiction, surrounded by vampires, werewolves, and other mythical creatures. Because of that, she’s content to remain alone in real life.
That all changes when she meets Mike and his friends one afternoon on campus. Her friendship with Mike is instant and incredible, and from the moment she sees his best friend Ethan, she can’t seem to get him out of her mind. His green eyes keep appearing in her dreams, and she is overwhelmed by how strongly she is drawn to him.
But Mike and his friends have a secret, too, and Issy is at the center of it. Their secret will turn her life upside down, if it doesn’t destroy her first…

I wanted so badly to fully love this book and there times I wanted to DNF. The concept was what had me interested, though I felt like I was reading a YA novel mixed with lots of spice. The characters are in college/university, though the writing and dialogue read as if they were younger than what they were supposed to be. Maybe it’s just me and how I interpreted the writing.
What I enjoyed was Isabelle always knowing she was different and not fully understanding why. She had a secret ability that she didn’t fully grasp but it was intuitive and a part of her. When she locks eyes with Mike one day on campus, I thought it was going to be an Insta love relationship, but was pleasantly surprised as it wasn’t the type of relationship I thought it would be. As Isabelle is introduced to Dale, Ethan, Pete and Laurence, it felt like she was home. I love found family stories and enjoyed the aspects of how each of those connections were going to be established. These six individuals were destined to be together from a soul level and each had their own supernatural form/powers that intertwined with each other.
The fight scenes at the end of the book with Rachel were so short lived. I felt like she was the big threat and it ended very abruptly. Who knows, maybe her death was faked with magic and she’ll come back in the next one. It would have been nice if the boys spoke of the supernatural world more as Isabelle grew up in the human world. What were they like growing up, what’s that world like in comparison to the human world, why are they so close etc. That would be just my personal preference to give more insight of their life versus hers.
I’m all for anyone finding their one and true love. Ethan and Isabelle were cute. I did feel like their sexy scenes were constantly thrown in there after any other activity. If the group had something to discuss, afterwards there was a spicy scene. If they had training, another spicy scene after it. If they went out, another spicy scene. You get the gist. I’m all for spice but I felt this really disrupted the flow of the book for me.
It probably gets better with each book in the series. What I would have liked to know is the true purpose of these six fated mates. It was mentioned that they were in myths but maybe they have a higher cause, though it’s a mystery to them also. I’m still deciding whether or not I will continue with the series because how Laurence exited in that final scene has me curious.
Got about 50% through and I just couldn’t anymore. Don’t get me wrong I like poly romance but when one of the men is old enough to be her father and sees her as a daughter I think that’s no longer poly just a strong mentor relationship.
There is probably Alot more to this book but I just felt a bit too uncomfortable in some of the circumstances. Maybe that’s just my preference but I do enjoy a paranormal romance just this book is not for me.
This was a great idea for a story. I just feel like it was a little to pushy. Like she kept trying to push her view of soulmates, and kept pushing how she loved Ethan but she couldn't live without Mike but she wasn't in love with Mike but she would die without him. It just kinda wasn't it for me by the end. I am glad they each get their own mates tho that would suck to spend eternity Bond to someone and not get the love of a mate.
I really like the premise of the book, and with what I could get through the story in and of itself was good. But the flow of writing was just not there. It seemed very stilted instead of flowing.
Happy I finally read this looking forward to the next books
I liked this, comforting supernatural romance book. it was cute, reminded me of the supernatural books we use to read as late teens, but rather than keeping us guessing it got to the good parts, and fairly quickly. There's lots of plot, Drama. Soul mates, i was kind of thinking there might have been more smutt. Attualy I think thats the surprising part of the story. It does leave you wanting more from all of the relationships within this book but the smutt is rather tame just in my opinion. i love the relationships. Not to say that the book isn't exciting, I stayed till the end and I want more. and I practically read this in two days couldn't put it down. The trouble i have with this is there are a lot of characters and you don't get to see enough of some of them. Not with out giving too much away but Dale/ Lawrence even Mike. for instance It would be interesting to see if you get to see more of them in the next books.
I really like this Author's writing style its a little fresh unique & shaking up the Paranormal with a pragmatic Heroine in book 1. Its not cookie cutter romantasy. making it more enjoyable.
consider: What if a Paranormal story takes you on a journey where FMC is Paranormal aware and is open & not scared - because she has her own lil secrets.
What if a book takes you from Enemies to Lovers to the instalove of soul mates, but tricks you along the way.
What if a book spends time introducing everyone that will feature in the following books. Allowing great worldbuilding - possible friendships to relationships.Found Family vibes.
This books plays out like you are the romantasy reader who has fallen into this book and you are Isabelle.
This college paranormal romance takes fated mates and gives it a whole new twist. The characters are loveable and whilst there is plenty of action in the latter part of this book, the first book of this series is all about world building and introducing us to each of the characters. And after already dealing with one sorceress, I’m interested to see how Issy and her mates handle Laurence’s new friend in the second book.
4.5⭐️ this book is great. I love the FM character Isabelle so strong and would do anything to protect her guys Ethan, Mike, Dale, Pete and Lawrence. I was hooked I just had to keep reading to find out what was going to happen next. Why was Isabelle drawn to these five guys.
This story did not disappoint, found family, fated mated, love, Warriors, suspense. So happy the story is continuing on.
When I started reading this, I wasn’t sure how it was going to go. But the sixth of them work so good together, and I absolutely loved this book. I cannot wait to see what happens with Lawrence and the others mates.
WHERE ARE ALL THE TW THIS BOOK NEEDS 🤔Its really simple if you are confused about what you want to write Do not write 🙄 this book is sooo over the place it gave me headaches also decide either you want cringe smut or dirty good smut you cant have or try to because it was a fail 🤷🏽♀️
This book is truely amazing. I couldn’t put it down and I cannot wait to start the next book in the series. I absolutely loved all the characters and there was never a dull moment.
Great characters who have all the depth and details you need with out the lengthy blurbs. Spicy with a great storyline. Worth a read. On to the next in the series. Can’t wait
