The instructions were simple: Transport the package and deliver it on time. That didn’t happen…
When Harmony Saxton’s boyfriend is hired to transport a package and something goes wrong, two men with guns storms into their home and murder him right in front of her.
Harmony becomes collateral damage and is only seconds away from being killed herself but fate intervenes and her life is miraculously spared. At a cost.
Four years later, Harmony isn’t feeling quite so lucky. Because though her life got spared on that tragic day her boyfriend died, her fate was also sealed. She was now indebted to a heartless monster—trapped in a world of violence and death, with no end date in sight.
Kiril Dimitrov; an international criminal and a man easily in the same league as Satan, is a merciless, humorless dictator who owns Harmony completely and never for a second lets her forget it. She is to obey him at all times without exception. That includes doing whatever she’s told, when she’s told, and killing whoever she’s ordered to kill.
But as Harmony begins to rebel against the tight reins of control Kiril exercises over her life, their already contentious relationship gets strained to the breaking point and it’s only a matter of time before it erupts.
However, when Harmony uncovers a web of lies and deception by people she once trusted, she surprises even herself when Kiril is the person she turns to for comfort. And discovers there just might be a thin line between love and hate.
But the extent of the betrayal has only just started to unravel. When a target gets painted on Kiril’s back, Harmony finds herself once again in peril as collateral damage and danger comes at her from every direction. Assassins….friends…drug cartels…you name it.
As Kiril works to flush out the threat, Harmony finds herself on the wrong end of a gunfight that leaves her vulnerable and at the mercy of Kiril’s enemies. She resigns to save herself but has no idea of the scope of treachery she’s fighting against until a huge bombshell gets dropped that completely shatters her world.
When Harmony finally learns the truth about what actually happened the day her boyfriend died, would Kiril—a man she’s hated with a passion for the past four years—turn out to be the only person she should’ve trusted all along? Or was he, of course, every inch the monster she knew him to be?
The Hit Mom is a gripping, fast-paced story that's guaranteed to take you on a head-spinning journey where danger is always around the corner, and things aren't always as they seem.
**INTENDED FOR AGES 18 and OVER. CONTAINS VIOLENCE, STRONG LANGUAGE, AND SEXUAL CONTENT.
K. Marie is a Michigan native and lover of all things, coffee, wine, fashion, art, and gangster!
Though very eclectic when it comes to genres in reading, K. Marie's own philosophy of writing is to "Write What You Like", so it was only natural that she would one day write her own steamy tales of sex, lies, love and redemption. With a little bit of gangster thrown in there, of course!
In her novels, you'll find gripping stories with hot heroes, feisty heroines, steamy passion, and an unexpected plot twist. K. Marie believes in unabashedly indulging the female fantasy; however, she doesn't guarantee you'll always get a happily ever after. Okay, or maybe you will!

This story had more suspense and less romance. I enjoyed it. It was well written and fast paced, had a lot of twists and turns, intriguing characters and interesting plot.
The suspenseful side of story was very well executed and developed but I was missing the romantic connection from the characters. Also, Harmony being a mother was not supported or delivered adequately throughout the story. I think the child’s existence was there , only for attracting-emotionally-the-reader purposes.
It may not have had a well defined hea but the ending was promising and optimistic.
OMG I hated for this to end and when it did I was sad , I loved, loved, loved this book , I don’t know how to describe how much I want for this to be a series. I am one of those women who always thinks she knows the plot after a couple of chapters but this one had me surprised all through the book.lol but in a good way. I spent most of the book going OMG who ,what why? And a lot of Dammmmn they made be laugh, cry and I loved Harmony and Kiril . I missed this Author and am so happy she came back with a winner and strong like her other books. Yeah!!!!
Wow. This book was AWESOME!!! It is paramount that when I read a book it has interesting characters and a good story. Well, the Hit Mom did not dissapoint. Let me start with the main character- Harmony, the Hit Mom. She is a strong character that goes on an emotional roller coaster throughout the story. She is witty, excessively stubborn, and yes, a stone cold killer. But I LOVE how she maneuvers the many different situations she finds herself in! KIRIL, the main male character is undoubtedly an ASSHOLE. But as the story unfolds you can't help but to like him. The relationship between them is a Hate/Hate. As far as the story goes, it is full of twists and turns which kept me guessing the entire book. Its one of those storys where you think you have it figured out but you could not be more wrong. I love its unpredictability! The story is PHENOMENAL!!! The writing is as well. I love this book!!
What a crazy read this was, and an even crazier ride it took us the reader on. I loved Harmony, she was one bad a$$ single mom. Kiril, at first I wasn't sure I would like him and his attitude, but I actually ended up loving him. This read has so many twists and turns I totally was not expecting, but added even more to the story. This is my first read from this author and I can't wait to read more!
I am not even sure where to start. I absolutely loved this book. It was so amazing! The book was a little long and I still felt like I wanted more. I could not put the book down. The cons, I wanted more! More Harmony. More Kiril. Just more! Harmony was bad ass! I cannot stand reading books and the woman whines, and bitches about everything. Kiril was an asshole in the best way. K. Marie had me hating him, until she made me love him! I hate when I can predict the ending, she had me guessing the entire time and for most of the twists, I was wrong. If you're looking for a book that has a bit of story in between all the sex, this is not it. This book had romance, action, a bit of comedy and was all around incredible. This is one of the best books I've read this year. It was most definitely worth the wait!!
Who can resist a badass heroine and a dangerously lethal hero? Certainly not me. Harmony and Kiril are explosive and absolutely made for each other.
Harmony survives for her son, Teddy. She vowed to be a better mom than her alcoholic gambling sellout of a mother. But Harmony is a mother under duress. A mother indebted to an assassin who killed her son's deadbeat father. A mother who has been trained to kill. She hates Kiril, the Bulgarian Devil. It's been four long years and she's tired of his rules, so she pushes him too far.
Kiril is at the end of his rope. What to do about Harmony? She's more work than he bargained for. He would eliminate anyone else who showed him such insolence and stubbornness. And now she is in danger because of the plan he set in motion. Can he save her before it's too late?
Harmony's impertinence and sassiness to Kiril's formidable and dangerous demeanor is an explosion just waiting to happen and boy is it worth waiting for. The story is brilliant going from Harmony's day in the life as a mother of a very smart four-year-old and the swear jar to her next job to get close to an impending target. Watching Harmony slowly breakdown Kiril's defenses by her brazenness and no-nonsense propositions is funny and hot at the same time. He doesn't give her the code name of Hellion for nothing.
The interesting supporting characters include Harmony's close friend, Amanda who's intrigued by Harmony's situation, and Harmony's unpleasant and manipulative mother. In addition, the reader is introduced to Kiril's partners, code-named King, Saint, and Wolf of whom I hope to read about in a possible series.
Overall, I was engrossed in this unique and fast-paced romance filled with lots of intrigue, action and adventure, striking characters, and a brilliant plot with a few surprises in store. If you love romantic suspense with enemies to lovers, give this book a try.
Thank you to Ms. Marie for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.
(4.5 stars) There are many layers to this story that’ll keep pulling you in wondering what’s next. Harmony goes to hell and back throughout this book. And goodness, I instantly hated Kiril, but then WHOLLY HELL…things were revealed and the man started growing on me despite his evilness.
I loved the few scenes with Teddy, her son, which endeared me to Harmony as a mother. I would’ve loved more of these.
Several times I thought I had an idea of where things were headed but was happily wrong, as I didn’t see several of the scenes coming and had a hard time putting it down.
K. Marie is a great story teller and I look forward to her next book. (Her first book was amazing in case you haven’t read it!)
Minor con - the story seemed to drag on unnecessarily at times with a bit too much backstory. Don't get me wrong, this Hit Mom is a total badass and the book is well worth the read!
Brilliant!!! I SO loved this story. If you love lots of sex and weak women, this isn't the book for you. Now, on the other hand, if you love your heroine to be a strong woman, who is capable, and who you want to support all the way through, then this is going to have you cheering! It's filled with humour, suspense, and action-it's a tale that doesn't flag along the way and you'll find it hard to put down. It's well worth the wait that we've had for it to be published. Congratulations to Ms Marie on her excellent writing. It is a standalone but I'd be happy to read a sequel. Highly recommended.
I have been waiting for K Marie to release a new book & this one did not disappoint! Trust me when I say this book was so freaking good - twists & turns that you will not see coming & sexy hot chemistry! Hoping this is going to be a series - I need more!! 5+ stars!
The Hit Mom by K. Marie was gifted to me and I wrote this review voluntarily. I love this book. It’s about a woman in a predicament that she eventually embraces. It’s a lot of hate with a little love that’s enough to make for a very interesting story. It will keep you turning the pages.
Loved this book... being in the wrong place at the wrong time can leave Lasting ramifications... but you gotta do what you gotta do to survive... could not put this book down...captured me from the start...
