When Soledad and Anise met, the resemblance was incredible! Two women, practically twins, living thousands of miles apart and meeting through six degrees of separation. One thought she found a twin sister from another mister. The other one thought she found the key to her next criminal payoff. But Teke Manion is in Colombia, and he made a promise to bring one of them home in one piece and the other one to justice!
Dead Ringer by Rod Sanford is a Teak Manion murder mystery that I thoroughly enjoyed. This book kept me engaged from start to finish—it’s definitely a page-turner with lots of twists that held my attention. I found myself looking forward to coming back to it each time I set it down.
It was not only entertaining, but also offered a fascinating glimpse into Colombian culture and the coffee industry. Multiple love stories and affairs added another layer of interest and kept me even more engaged. The resolution at the end felt satisfying.
Sanford’s writing style is fresh, fast-moving, and captivating. And that historical surprise twist at the end? It made the whole book even more fun—and makes me want to read the next one in the series!
I highly recommend this one if you enjoy smart, suspenseful murder mysteries that keep you guessing.
