Silas “Nomad” Bennings doesn’t do normal. As the fearsome enforcer for the Steel Berserkers Motorcycle Club, he refuses to live by other people’s rules. However, this time, the stubborn son of a bitch might have gone too far.
Landry Copper spent her life bouncing from one dangerous situation to another. Her latest hazard comes in the form of a menacing biker claiming to have killed her abusive husband.
Nomad offers her a new home, safety, and comfort. All he wants is for Landry to love him.
They’re a match made in madness. Yet, what should lead to disaster might instead give them what they crave most.
The Steel Berserkers MC series contains sexual content, harsh language, graphic violence, and drug use. This book is only suitable for readers 18+. Trigger past childhood, sexual, and spousal abuse.
I liked this book of course since Bijou Hunter is one of my favorite authors, but something about it kept me from loving it. Possibly the mention of Kati every 2 seconds. That was very much annoying. I also think they spent a good bit of time apart in the book, it seemed like they were always doing things with other people rather than with each other. I loved that Silas loved the kids but I wish their interactions had been more showing and less telling. Like we were told they called him dad, instead of actually “seeing” it.
The Steel Berserkers MC is definitely a series that screams original with the bunch of men who have become a family, and the women they fall for so I can't get enough (and we're only two books in LOL). Once I fall in love with an author, I don't take the time to read the blurb, so I had no clue as to what awaited me in Bits and Pieces that's for sure. Our hero, Silas (aka Nomad) who has pretty much stalked our heroine, Landry, who is stuck in a terribly abusive life with an evil man (any man who hits women and/or kids is evil in my eyes), and he's been waiting on her to have the baby before removing her from said life, but things take a turn, so his timetable is moved up, and he gets her & all of her kids out of there after taking care of the evil she's married to. I can totally forgive him for his stalker ways after that of course because no one deserves that life & he made sure no one else would. What follows is a crazy adventure of them getting to know each other with a lot of kids under foot, and maybe just maybe, they'll find happiness together but I'll never tell! You'll have to hit those one click buttons to find out as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
This book had me all up in my feelings. Like waaaaay in there. I found myself sobbing in those first few chapters and again at the end. Let me say this isn't a sad book - it's actually a story full of hope.
Landry is worn down by life. She escaped an abusive home only to fall into relationships with abusive men. She's trapped in her marriage to Neal with 4 kids and one on the way. When Neal finally crosses the line of physically hurting one of the children she knows she needs to escape ASAP. What she doesn't know is there is a beast of a man that's been watching her and planning that escape. Enter Silas - and when I say enter Silas I mean:
"Hearing keys unlock the door, I sigh and wait for one of the Coppers to enter... As if to create a more dramatic effect, the front door swings slowly open. A massive shadowed figure enters. Despite a lifetime of violence, I'm instantly gripped by fear. I stare in horror at the broad-shouldered beast standing over six foot six. His heavy chest expands with hard, angry breaths. His long, dark hair and thick beard give him an untamed aura."
Silas is Landry's white knight. "You're tired in a way that won't wash off, but I'm not. I have energy for us both, so let me be in charge." And so the rescue and path to healing begins.
As all Bijou books are there is plenty of humor sprinkled throughout.
Landry: "You show up at my house and say you want me to love you. Yet, whenever I hint how I want to fool around, you act offended by the very thought. I'm starting to feel like you're a tease."
The kids are fantastic as always because Bijou writes children so well. They're never afterthoughts in the story and they always are clearly defined personalities.
Damsel in distress is my favorite trope and it's even better if our h is being rescued from an abuser. I have my own demons I fight for this same reason.
I simply loved this book. 5 stars.
Silas: "You're so quiet that I keep checking in the dark to make sure you didn't run away." Landry: "I'm not going anywhere. If you want rid of me, you'll need a crowbar to pry me out of your house and away from you."
In Pieces of Me, Nomad told Hoyt just what his plans for the future are, kill Landry's husband and take her and the kids for his own. Of course he had a plan, but that timeline got stepped up a bit faster than Nomad/Silas would have liked, but he made do. This could have gone so wrong for him, walking in and telling Landry that he killed her husband, to pack her kids up and come with him, any woman in their right mind would have screamed the house down and dove for the phone. But most women aren't in the same place that Landry was in. In a place where life gave her no one she could trust, no one there to help when things got tough. Will Landry regret taking Nomad's offer to go with him, for him to help out and give her a place to live? Will Nomad just prove to be another person to let her down?
The feels this story gives!!! I was already looking forward to this, when Nomad told Hoyt the plan, had been wondering just how this would work out. This was pretty much perfect, I loved that once again, its not a quick fix and everything is perfect. We get loads of drama, danger, violence, a few laughs, some aww moments, and even some spicy times. I give this 5 stars as I enjoyed the heck out of this story.
I was worried this addition wouldn’t hold up to the first book I’m this series. I think it was still done well, it started to veer a bit close to some of the personality traits common in in Bijou’s series where she doesn’t partner up. But it was still enjoyable. I’m excited for Yazmin and Armors book. I hope that the Tomcat drama is explained clearly how it’s not what she wants, but I also hope he isn’t around them much. I love how Yazmin loves her new dog. This particular book did have too many children involved for my taste, it felt exhausting and overwhelming just reading about all the constant crying, however it was done well I think where it wasn’t the main focus of the story. Really like Nomad’s character and how he just straight up does what he wants and owns his stalking behavior. This partnership I think has drastically improved Bijou’s books and I hope this new writing vibe reflects in her non partnered books going forward.
Bits and Pieces was such an awesome addition to Bijou’s Steel Berserkers MC series. Really starting to get to where I can’t get enough of these characters they have created and paired up for us. Plus I just love an MC book. Especially when the main man is an OTT protective and possessive aloha male that’s also a stalker.
This is Landry and Silas’ story and these two are both broken individuals who are perfect together. But it takes them awhile to get to their HEA, and Silas has his work cut out for him convincing Landry he’s the one for her and that he just wants her love. Landry is an abused mother of four with a fifth on the way when Silas takes matters in his own hands and offers her a new life, one where her and her kids will be safe.
This is definitely a must read. And I am really looking forward to reading book three which is Wade and Yazmin’s story. Definitely recommend this book and this series.
This story was so good! I went in blind, having not read the first book in the series, and it was easy to read as a stand-alone. Landry is an abused pregnant woman with 4 kids. Silas is her stalker, a giant biker with a fixation on her. The rest of the story is brilliant. It’s a realistic vision of two broken people and four traumatized kids coming together and forging a path to a beautiful life. The Stell Beserkers MC are ruthless and there is some serious violence that comes up. But Silas is both a frightening beast and a good man. The way Landry and Silas grow together feels both real and pure.
I have a feeling I will re-read Bits and Pieces, because it’s just that good. After a book slump, this book pulled me out of it and fully absorbed me in their world. I haven’t read anything like it. Definitely check this one out!
When he wanted--he got! It took one look when he saw the bruises he had to see more. As a mother of four and another on the way with a husband, he would have passed. Not with the signs of abuse. It took one incident he saw to make the decision to change her life and those of her kids. He just had to convince her--or take her.
He showed up telling her she was a widow by his hand. It isn't as though she'd miss her hateful husband, but...what did he want? Her love. Wow. What were she and her kids headed into?
There is a lot of interaction between the club brothers and their women. The enemies are not your average club problem. Great characters, an amazing story following the story of this couple and their families, with steam to top it off. DO NOT MISS THIS ONE!
This is the 2nd book in this incredible series, and this is Silas / Nomad and Landry’s journey. Nomad is the brutal and feared enforcer for the Steel Berserkers MC, while Landry has had a tough life. Now Landry has Nomad on her tail stating he killed her abusive husband, and he wants to give her and her children a safe haven, but he really wants her to just love him. The chemistry between these two is combustible and undeniable, and they compliment each other perfectly. This is a well written story which is dark, raw, gritty, intense, and intriguing, with angst, family, action, twists, suspense, danger, violence, healing, and love, which leads to a steamy and addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from these talented authors’ whose work I highly recommend.
Oh my! This book has created quite the quandary for me. I think that I have to move Silas 'Nomad' Bennings to the very top of my favourite book heroes of all time list. *swoon* Why you may ask?? He is, after all, a violent biker with stalker tendencies. Well ... you'll just have to read the book. And then you will completely understand why he's top of the heap. Nomad isn't the only character in the book though. I really liked Landry as well. She made the best of the terrible situations in her life. And she loved those babies something fierce. I loved their relationship, something about it just felt so real. Add in glimpses into some of the other members of the Steel Berserkers - like Armor and Goose - and I am super excited for more books in this series.
Spoilers***The overuse of the word berserk becomes annoying. I know it is the name of the MC, but come on. Then our hero clearly has psychological issues and is a stalker who does something very irrational, but it heroine wanted him in a matter of days (Stockholm). Dude takes on 5 kids, some with additional needs, like it is nothing. I read books to escape, but reading aliens getting it on with humans seems more reasonable than this book. Have 1 star because it is a completed published work and another because the grammar errors were not glaring. Someone took the time to proofread the book.
Can a somewhat cracked biker gain the love of an abused woman, pregnant with her fifth child… after he stalks her?
If this premise worries you… I get it. I was uncertain… but this really works. The MMC is aware that he is acting strangely, his friends think he has lost the plot, at first the FMC is frightened and wary.
Again, Bijou Hunter treats past trauma and it’s side effects with authenticity and insight. The psychological impacts of abuse and betrayal are explored, as well as how the MMC has to change his approach - less steam roller, more gentle. It’s a different dynamic to see in a MC Romance and I really enjoyed it.
Nomad is obsessed with Landry from the first moment he sees her even though she's married and pregnant, when he sees her abusive husband hurt their eldest child and Landry his decision of waiting till the child was born is scuppered and he takes her and her 4 children away to his home in McMurdo Valley.
This is the second book in the series and I honestly couldn't put it down, the characters both, main and side, are fantastic, and even though the subject is serious I was able to laugh at some of the antics, definitely a one click read.
This is the 2nd book in the Steel Berserker Series and all about Nomad. And I loved his stalker a$$ ways!! He was so much different than what I thought he was gonna be well with Landry and the kids. He was exactly how I thought he would be regarding every one else....lol But I am really enjoying getting to know thi rag tag group of misfits that are so rough around the edges but are so kind and protective with women and children. And I can't wait to read the next book. If you love MC books these are definitely up you alley!! And I would definitely recommend them!!!

Landry’s life was not good since she was 14 yrs old thinking she was unworthy of love. Nomad was hurt by his wife and devastated when told his son was not his. When he saw Landry he put a plan in place but plans never work. Landry is pregnant with 4 other kids when Nomad rescued her from her violent husband.
Not believing she is worthy Landry’s thinking is this will help her children. This story to this reader was heart breaking at times but so exciting to watch two dysfunctional people and the children fall in love and grow .
I liked this even more than the first book. Nomad is a strange character, we met him in the first book and he seemed mentally deficient. He's not, he a very complex character with clear ideas of what he wants and a large suitcase of baggage from his childhood. Landry is a downtrodden woman with 4 young children, heavily pregnant in a terrible situation. I loved these two together, Nomad with all his weirdness has a big heart, he takes on all of them and they build their family. Great chemistry, awesome character development, looking forward to book 3.
The best Epilogue I've read in a long , long time. Book one wasn't bad, a little over the top with the dramatics but an easy 3.0. I mean who says " I want to touch his hot flesh... " Yuk. Almost turned me off the series but the Hero's ,haha ,sister saved the day. Laugh out loud funny she had me rolling So... I bought the rest and book 2 only got better. Landry was absolutely believable and You just wanted to cry for what Nomad had gone thru. He deserved Landry and if he had to bury some bodies along the way, so much the better. Hurray for the stalker. 😂😂😂😂
I enjoyed book 1 so I moved on to this book. This one exceeded my expectations. Her stalker became her most treasured champion. He supported her to help her get over the abusive ex. He fell in love with her and the kids. He protector her and the kids from her ex husband’s lunatic family. He became her kids true father. A loving family was created. The MC characters were crazy and loyal. I Liked the whole way the book was laid out for me to enjoy. HEA, no cheating, no cliffhanger. Highly recommend.
Oh my goodness, I loved it! From the very chapter this novel had me hooked, and I could not put it down until the very last page. Even then I did not want it to end. I loved Silas and Landry. I loved that Silas and Landry's chemistry. I love when a novel can take you on an adventure and leave you with a happy heart. This novel checked all of my boxes. I can't wait to see what is coming next.
What a great book. Nomad is damaged and hurt by a woman who lied about being pregnant with his son. He finds all that he needs to fill and heal that hole in beaten down pregnant Landry and her four children. I loved the epilogue so that we could see how this family grew and thrived.
I enjoyed this book and the characters in it. These two were great together. I liked watching them grow as a couple. A little too much will she leave me or am I good enough for him thoughts. But the drama makes up for that. I'm looking forward to Yazmin's book.
So we saw a sneak peak of these two in the first book and this continued there story Nd it was so good I loved that he loved her kids and wanted them for his own and loved her from the moment he saw her. These men are hard and yet I love the ruggedness of them I need more of them
Silas stands out. This wasn't a warm and fuzzy read, but it is one of the best I've read by this author. Silas the big stalker sentry and Landry the woman that learned to love him. Fast paced good read . Fantastic epilogue.
Love how Silas jumps in and saves Landry. She’s had a rough life and has made the best of it. She gives him as much as he gives her when it comes to security and a home. I love how he isn’t afraid to go after what he wants. I’m really into this series and look forward to the next book
I love this brotherhood and the author’s fabulous storytelling! This is a terrific second story in the series and can be read as a standalone but I recommend you read the first one. You don’t want to miss the beginning of the Steel Berserkers and their crazy ride to dominance. They rule the town and most of the county dealing with enemies in a brutal manner. These brothers are unique with harsh realities and a terrific brotherhood. They went through so much as longtime friends and the fight to reach the top and stay there. There were hints of things to come with Nomad in the previous story and I thought he went off his rocker with his crazy plan for the young mother and her kids. Well, he made it come true in brutal, berserker fashion. I love all the layers to Nomad as he makes his dreams come true. The young mother Landry is a sad, broken woman in an abusive marriage with lots of kids. When the huge, scary biker saves her she doesn’t trust it. Nomad and Landry’s journey is sweet and sexy and romantic. Who doesn’t want a capable, wealthy, sexy beast as a savior? Her kids were a fabulous part of the story. The author really made them come alive with frailties and insecurities from what life dealt them in their short lives. But they have a great mother in Landry. In addition to the heartbreaking moments in the story there is also moments of fun, family and laughs. The women are fantastic in the story. The Prez sister, Wynonna is a standout as the hilarious mother that had me laughing hard. I love the fiery club lawyer Kourtney but we didn’t get much of her. All the club brothers and the lone woman show up to support Nomad and his new family and to fight the new and old enemies. Landry’s in laws are a stupid, crazy bunch of rednecks that were as funny as they were dangerous. It didn’t take long for the brothers to deal with them. There are a couple of enemies that are leftover for the next stories in the series. This is a different type of biker story even though it has the typical club dynamics with danger, intrigue and bloody battles. The story focuses mainly on the romance with the club activities protecting and supporting Nomad and his new family. This story deals with heavy issues and doesn’t shy away from the harsh realities of bad decisions and abusive relationships. On the flip side, there are lovely moments of family love and friendship and light moments of laughter. I loved the epilogues and the hint of the next story. There are so many intriguing brothers and the one sister for many more stories. I can’t wait! This one was so good and worth the read.
I liked this one better than the last one. The first one was great, but I loved the humor and interactions way more with this one. Also, being a stay at home mom of a zillion kids myself, I can relate to this book on so many levels. Loved it!!!
I loved this story of two broken souls healing each other. I enjoyed that this was a second chance for both of them. Low angst. I am off to read the next in the series.
I couldn’t put this down. Some of stuff Landry had to cope with was sickening and made me cry. Thankfully her hero rode in on his steel horse and rescued her. Pity she was terrified of him. Nomad has suffered himself, but he’s sure he wants Landry.
