The Caring Code: A Guide for Those Who Care Too Much

Rate this book
Do social media, the latest news, or excessive demands on your time distract you from applying your energy to the people and issues who deserve them most?

Are you an empathic person who needs sensible boundaries because you seem to care about everyone and everything?

Would you like a guilt-free way to say “No?”

Does anxiety keep you awake at night, worrying about things you can’t fix?

If you answered “Yes” to any of these questions, The Caring Code can help.

Using Caring Levels 1 through 5 to filter people, events, and obligations, The Code offers you a way to prioritize life so you can focus your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual energies on the truly important missions in your life.

So, if you’re juggling to keep all the balls in the air, The Caring Code can help you differentiate which balls are rubber and which are glass—which people and issues will bounce if you drop them and those you need to keep aloft at all costs to keep them from shattering.

The Caring Code includes stories, examples, practical tips, and other tools to filter out the noise and prioritize!

The Caring Code by Heather Ashby is an answer for many questions I've had about myself as an empath and very sensitive person. I've read many books on the subject, in quest of answers. Most of them seem very philosophical to me, with a score of theories and not much specific, practical advice.
In her book, Ashby truly shines the light on what it means to be so sensitive that you can't help caring about everyone and everything around you, till you suffer from too heavy a burden for any one person. She's very pragmatic, with simple ideas of how to cope, and take care of yourself, the person you always seem to neglect. Her sense of humor shines through every page, and leaves the reader with a feeling of encouragement and relief; finally, some answers! I plan to return to this book often, for renewal.
