Can Stan and Milo find love, or is mixing business and pleasure too much to handle?
Stan Banks has been working for MacKay’s Models for five years and has seen many gorgeous men and women walk through the doors. None have made him consider breaking his cardinal rule of not getting involved with any of his models until he meets Milo McKenzie.
Needing money, student and aspiring writer Milo uses his good looks to get signed by McKay’s Models. His agent, Stan, piques his interest, even though he’s off limits.
One party and a hotel room later, and both men want more. But are the potential repercussions worth it?
Denim by Design is a 46,000 word MM romance novel, with an age-gap, with an ex who won’t quit, and some smoking hot sex. It is part of the Model Love multi-author series. Each book can be read as a standalone in any order, but there are so many models falling in love, why not read them all?
What can I say about me? I have two boys who keep me on my toes and a cat who adopted us. She walked in one day and hasn’t left. We might be getting a dog too. Who knows?
I love to read about men in love. Flawed, but strong men, who need some TLC and find their happy ending. I love to write about those same type of men too, sometimes with added kink! I also love to read horrors, thrillers and crime novels.
When I’m not trying to keep my boys in line, or writing about hot sexy men, I like to work on my allotment. I also like to read, to take walks in the countryside, and visit historical places. Recently, we went to Stonehenge and Avebury. It was an amazing experience.
There were so many spelling errors and completely wrong words it was like it was written as fast as possible and no one bothered to read it through to check, or even make sure this was a decent story.
The characters were so awful! Stan may as well be named Doormat. Your ex is stalking you but you don't want to report it because it might affect his or someone else's career??? Ok, well when it escalates no one will thank you for that approach and you'll be the one in danger. Jesus, even his friends and colleagues agree with him - flat out ridiculous.
Milo was just a horny guy with zero personality and thought he wanted a relationship just because the sex was good. He was no better than Ricardo, basically coercing Stan into continuing a 'relationship' that Stan clearly didn't want. There was more info on how to plot and write the paranormal novel Milo wanted to write than there was relationship building between him and Stan.
There were also so many side characters who could have easily been cut out and it would have made no difference to the story at all, except give more words to the relationship!
I really don't get the point of this book at all. There was so much explaining the painfully obvious, and it was almost like a didactic guide book rather than an actual story. It's not a romance, it's not a thriller, it's just a mess 🤷🏻♀️
Milo and Stan were too sweet! This installment of Model Love has age gap, instant connection, a little angst, and an interesting power dynamic.
Milo is younger, more decisive and more dominant although Stan knows what he wants and he wants to avoid another workplace entanglement... Stan's ex also plays a large role in the book, further emphasising Stan's position...
This is the first book I've read by Megs Pritchard, but it won't be my last. I found Denim by Design to be a well paced and well written read and I truly loved the chance to see Milo and Stan get together and find their HEA!
Stan and Milo sizzle. Milo is definitely a model to love. I don’t often read boss-employee or age-gap stories, but I am glad I gave Denim by Design a try. I really enjoyed it and the boss-employee, age-gap aspects were tastefully addressed and not overdone.
Actually, what attracted me to this book was the blurb mention of an ex that wouldn’t go away. I migrate toward books with arrogant obnoxious exes that get what they deserve. It is exhilarating to see an MC realize that he deserves better and stand up for himself. Ricardo did not disappoint me. He is one of those characters that I love to hate.
This book was not written very well. The characters were compelling, but there was so much nonsense writing in what was a very short book. The sex scenes were very steamy, but the relationship was just not developed very well. The author spent more time letting a harasser flail than she did developing the protagonists' relationships. All in all, it was very disappointing in what has been an excellent series.
Full rtc but Milo pursuit of Stan was not enjoyable to me. He turns up at Stan's after hearing him give his address to a taxi driver. Stan tells him to leave and he's like nah, you've been avoiding me let's talk it out. Wtf? How was Milo any better than stan's ex?

I've read most of this series and this one had the least romance, and chemistry. Nothing seemed to connect Stan and Milo but their bedroom compatibly. Add in the nut of an ex and hardly an y repercussions and I lost interest half way through.
Not enough modelling, relationship consisted of bedroom action only with no real connection
I've read most of this series and this one had the least romance in it. Milo and Stan jumped into bed and never really left. Their whole relationship existed in the bedroom, with no dates and no other connection except scorching hot sex. While I love hot romances, I needed there to be more emotion and feelings and a real relationship too. I liked Milo and Stan as characters but there was just so much lacking in this story. There was no modelling either, just vague mentions of shoots having happened and a few scenes took place at the agency. The side story of Milo's ex was more interesting than their non-existent relationship and even that was ultimately disappointing because the stlkery ex suffered no real consequences for his actions, either personally or professionally. This was a generously rounded-up three star read.
I really like Megs writing style and flow, it was my first by her, but I look forward to reading more by her.
Milo and Stan were great individually, and I enjoyed the premise of their story (age gap, dominant younger guy, modeling). There was something about their initial interactions though that set me on edge and it kept me from sinking into the story. Milo just came across as too insistent and forceful, and while Stan was dealing with an unhinged and controlling ex, I just struggled to feel good about it. The spice was high, so you can rest assured you’ll want to keep a cold drink of water nearby. And don’t worry, they do also get a nice HEA.
It’s very likely that if I read this again I would feel completely different, it’s happened more than once. Sometimes it’s hard to understand why I react to something or not. But here's to reading her next book, because I can tell I will be a fan of Megs Pritchard
Stan Banks is an agent at McKay's Models and has seen many gorgeous men and women through the doors. None made him consider his cardinal rule to not get involved with a model until he met Milo McKenzie. Milo is a student and aspiring author and so he uses his good looks to get signed by McKay's models. Stan definitely piques his interest but is definitely off-limits. One party and a hotel room later, and both men want more. But are the potential repercussions worth it?
I loved this story. Stan's ex who was determined to not quit was hilarious, especially the interactions between the ex and Stan's neighbour which made me laugh out loud several times. I loved that Stan had taken some actions to make it easier for them to be together although they failed to communicate fully on that. Easy to read, feel and understand. Contains MM mature content so of a very steamy nature.
This book didn't follow the whole modeling thing as well as other books. I thought it was decent if you like a book with a bunch of basic hookups but plot wise it didn't gel with the rest of the series. Stan couldn't seem to get rid of his stalker ex or accept what he had. The book didn't hit on the modeling but for a few brief scenes. It was more of Milo pursues Stan, Stan rejects Milo, Ricardo shows up to stalk and make life miserable. Rinse and repeat. The book was redeemable in steaminess. However, it takes till the very end for the main characters to get together. A decent short read, and goes with the McKay Models thing well, but didn't hit as well as some of the other books in this series.
Denim By Design started off brilliantly for me - at one point I was even laughing hysterically - then the mc's got together. For some reason I really hated them as a couple. Stan got on my nerves and I also felt Milo seemed to take a back seat somewhat. There just didn't seem to be enough about HIM on his own especially the modelling. (Stan had his own sidestory after all) Also it seemed like once the mc's got their act together the book finished and that's a pet peeve of mine. You never know though, this could well be one of those books I re-read in the future and think "flipping heck that was brilliant" it has happened before!
This book was hot. I'll give it that. But I didn't feel the connection to the MCs or their relationship that I typically look for in a romance novel. Add in the fact that there wasn't enough modeling for the Model Love series, and you get a bit of a disappointment.
That said, the book was still enjoyable. I loved Megs' writing style on this one. I just wished I loved the story itself a bit more.
If you're looking for a hot book with a nice age gap and an agent/model love story that doesn't go too heavy in the modeling aspect, then I'd suggest this one for you.
** DISCLAIMER: I recieved an advance copy from GRR and this is my fair and honest review **
Milo and Stan was an interesting one with ups and downs as the two protagonists face many hardships in being together, an stalker ex boyfriend and on first sight things they consider it makes them incompatible. It also has funny moments as well as infuriating ones wh3n the ex won't take no as an answer and makes their life impossible. Their connection and relationship is slow forming as they need time to know what they want from each other as well as they have to learn to trust in each other.
Attraction sizzles in this “office romance”. Milo is a new model, just starting the job to sustain himself while trying to fulfil his dream of becoming a writer. Stan is the agent at McKay’s Models to represent him. Problem is as soon as they meet the undeniable attraction between them is evident and undeniable. Despite Stan’s resistance due to their work-relationship and Stan’s ex-boyfriend causing an unholy amount of problems for him (let me tell you, this Ricardo character is totally obnoxious and was the focus of many rants while I was reading this!) Milo and Stan manage to somehow make it work and the chemistry between them, both in and out of the bedroom is great! This was my first book by Megs Pritchard I enjoyed it; a nice age-gap, boss-employee story
While attending college Milo works his way through as a model. He aspires to be a writer when he is done. Stan is his agent and a cheerleader for his dreams and aspirations. In fact, that is a part of what attracts him to Milo but he tries really hard to resist dating at work and dating a younger guy. But resistance is futile for these two and an evening spent together passionately is the start of something complicated but special between them. Yes, they deal with a few snags but ultimately they are another model love story. I received an ARC from GRR and am voluntarily leaving a review.
For a book set in a series about models, there wasn't much modeling in this book. The story seemed to mainly be Stan and Milo constantly hooking up in secret and Stan's ex harrassing him. There were a few vague scenes about Stan's work as an agent and a few factual statements about Milo having done some photo shoots. Plus, there was very little character development, and we didn't really see the MCs outside the bedroom much. It was just all around disappointing compared to the other books in the series.
Denim by Design by Meg Pritchard is Book 1 in the model Love Book Series) This book instantly grabbed me. I love how Milo knew what he wanted and went for it….he never pushed. Stan —eventually he knew wholeheartedly what and who he wanted and needed. Obnoxious Ricardo, Stan’s ex was truly obnoxious, he never listened. This is a 5-star plus brilliant read. I was invested from the beginning, wonderful writing style, and all the characters have depth. I was laughing throughout at times as this is a beautiful easy-to-read book. There is so much wit and a lot of steamy moments.
Milo has decided to model through college, but he dreams of becoming a writer. Stan who becomes his agent is drawn to Milo and his determination and aspirations. Stan tries to deny his feelings because he is not only Milo's agent but also a bit older than him. But as the world of modeling and traveling is they end up experiencing a passionate evening together. Very sweet and steamy tale of what happens when you mix business and pleasure!
This is the story of Milo and Stan. It is part of the multi author Model Love series. If you are looking for a book that is written very well with great characters that is filled with feelings and emotions, this one is for you. The steamy moments and the easy reading flow makes you turn the pages. Definitely recommended.
I received this book as an Arc and I am happily reviewing it voluntarily.
MM, Age Gap, Agent/Model, Contemporary, Romance. Part of a multi author series but reads as a stand-alone and can be read in any order if reading the series. Easy to read page-turner with great characters and a fast paced plot. I really enjoyed reading their story and at times laughed so hard, so much going on, wit, humour, steam, and an ex that won't take no for an answer. Guaranteed HEA.
Stan never mixes his business as an agent with the pleasure he might find with his stunning model clients, but something about Milo makes him forget about those rules. Milo sets his eyes on Stan and goes for what he wants from the first. There is Stan's ex- to deal with and some serious thinking to do for these two but they get there in the end and before that, their physical chemistry is off the charts.
I really enjoyed this book. Stan was slightly older and established Model Agent and Milo was a new model with no experience. Stan breaks up with his partner Riccardo the same day he meets Milo in person for the first time. The chemistry is undeniable and they act on it then struggle stay away from each other due to work and the ongoing issues with Riccardo..they sort themselves out and get a hea
He has a rule never date one of his models, either female or male but he is about to be to the test when the arrives. His resolve is going to be pushed to breaking point until he breaks it by sleeping with them. What will happen next? Is it a big mistake? Could it be a match made in heaven? See just what will happen between them
I enjoyed Denim by Design. Milo is a student modelling to pay for school an Stan is his agent. Stan doesn't mix business with pleasure. That is until he can no longer resist Milo. Stan comes with some baggage in the form of a terrible ex that causes unnecessary drama and angst. These two work things out and achieve their HEA. I'm looking forward to reading more in this multi author series.
Denim by Design us part of the multi author series, Model Love. Loved, loved, loved Milo and Stan! They were so sweet together. Milo is younger and a bit more dominant that Stan. But Stan doesn’t want to mix business with pleasure. They have so much chemistry! Age/gap, boss/employee and humorous made this a fantastic story! Well written with pacing that hooked me!
Milo and Stan have so much chemistry that eventually Stan lets go of his 'do not mix business and pleasure', which was fun to read. There is some drama from an ex, wonderful characters, and some romance.
Stan is such a mature name. I had to get that out of my system. This is an age gap love story, boss employee with a modeling streak. The couple made some interesting choices that finally made those sparks into a constant flame. Milo was the sweetest.
Stan and Milo's story isn't a romance. It's full of hot sexy times and a struggle for Stan because he is being harassed/stalked by a looney of an ex. Their story was a slow build, even if the sexy heat was instant. I liked it! I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
