May Moore, 29, an average Midwestern woman and deputy sheriff, has always lived in the shadow of her older, brilliant FBI agent sister. Yet the sisters are united by the cold case of their missing younger sister—and when a new serial killer strikes in May’s quiet, Minnesota lakeside town, it is May’s turn to prove herself, to try to outshine her sister and the FBI, and, in this action-packed thriller, to outwit and hunt down a diabolical killer before he strikes again.

I'm not sure I have ever been so happy to finish a series. It felt like the quality of the writing declined throughout the series and the characters didn't feel very natural. Also the mystery woven throughout the series that kept me coming back was finally solved, but it felt anticlimactic which was disappointing.
May is asked to lead the search for a killer who leaves his victims in the natural dams in the region. The crimes escalate and soon they are dealing with a serial killer and the reasons that lead him to kill or why he erases the fingerprints of his victims is a mystery. May and Owen work diligently and find the culprit at a significant personal cost. As a result of Kerry and May working together their sister's case is finally solved and an enormous weight is lifted from their shoulders. Their personal lives also have interesting developments. Good ending for previously pending issues. I thank the author for this ARC.
Everytime I read a book from him, still can’t figured out how on Earth did it happened? Every plot twist is confusing the reader and even it has only a less than 200 pages, it doesn’t sacrifice the character’s growth and the climax pf the story.
I really want to know why they left that unsaid, the person who set up the video on May's laptop of Lauren walking away on the day she was kidnapped. The kidnapper was dead years ago, so who then sent that video?
May & Owen are after a serial killer who is erasing his victim's fingerprints & depositing their bodies near beaver dams. This case has a very scary ending. May & Kerry finally solve their sister's disappearance. Enjoyed this book!
