I’ve been told I’m the grumpiest goalie in the league, and that may be the case, but who cares when I’m also killing it this season? The Carolina Comets are currently on a record-breaking run, and I intend to keep it that way.

This means the last thing I need is distractions, but my mother didn’t get that memo. She’s getting married, and after the fiasco I caused at her last wedding, I’m required to bring a date.

That would be easy, except for one little thing: I don’t date.

So why is the only person I want to take a single mom who can’t stand me?

We’re a horrible match, and it makes no sense that I’d be into her. But the more time we spend together, the more it’s starting to look like this might be one game I can’t win.

GLOVE SAVE is a standalone hockey romcom. There's a grumpy goalie who likes to argue with a ten-year-old, a single mom, lots of fun banter, and STEAM galore!

I really liked the overall plot of the story but the pacing was off so this book was in general “okay”.

I feel like we didn’t have enough. I read this as an ebook so Idk how long this book actually is but I think we needed another 100 pages to make this book better.
So much information was missing especially when looking at the backstories of both Stevie and Jacob.

I didn’t feel any emotional connection because of that to either of the character which is a missed opportunity by the book.

The pacing was really really fast then really slow and the ending was the fastest thing ever.
The off pacing has been a theme in this entire series and I feel like maybe 30 extra pages would have already helped with the pacing in every book because it feels sooooo rushed.

“I don’t do relationships. Period. Ever.”

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙💚💜❤️🖤
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙📔
World building: 🌎🌍🌏🌎🌍
Character development: 🤐🤫🫣😍😘

The Hero: Greer - the grumpy goalie of the Carolina Comets NHL hockey team. Jacob Greer has a mother that is about to be married for the fourth time and a father who has 6 children from five different relationships and has only been married once. Suffice it to say he doesn’t believe in love and never wants to get married.

The heroine: Stevie - single mother to ten year old Macie, who is the light of her life and her reason for living. She got pregnant at nineteen and married Macie’s father, but he turned out to be an alcoholic and an abusive drunk, so she left when Macie was two and hasn’t looked back. The experience soured her on love and marriage and she has no desire to repeat that kind of mistake again.

The Story: Stevie’s sister Scout owns a donut truck where Stevie helps out sometimes in addition to her job at a law office. Her sister is dating Miller from the Carolina Comets. Their romance was detailed in Scoring Chance. Stevie knows Greer but is not fond of him because he is crabby and mean. Add that to the fact that her daughter, who is a Carolina Comets super fan, doesn’t like Greer at all.

“Is he possibly the most gorgeous man I’ve ever laid eyes on? Yes.
Does it erase what a giant dick he is? Not even a little.”

Though after Greer helps Stevie out of a sticky situation, he talks her into helping him out by being his date to his mothers upcoming wedding. As they see each other more, Greer starts having protective feelings toward both Stevie and Macie. I really liked that side of the grumpy Greer and I loved his interactions with both Stevie and Macie.

There wasn’t a ton of chemistry sizzling between the Greer and Stevie in the first half of the book, though that was probably par for the course since Macie was always around and Stevie was getting over her dislike for Greer and he was getting over his general bad attitude towards everything. Though I liked the way the story moved along at a normal pace. Definitely no insta love here. But right after the 50% mark, things get hot and steamy and the chemistry between the two is everything you want in a romance.

There was also plenty of Teagan Hunters usual wit and humor in the story. I think this was probably my favorite in the series so far. The character development was terrific and there were plenty of supporting characters from prior books, and hopefully future books in the series.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

This entire series has been so much fun! I love sports romance and the way Teagan Hunter writes them is fantastic. They've got lots of heart and laugh out loud moments.

Greer is 'the grumpiest goalie in the league' and Stevie is a single mom with a daughter who is obsessed with hockey. Though these can be read as a standalone, if you've read the last book you've already sensed something going on with these two and you know Stevie's daughter Macie. Stevie is Scout's sister.

I loved watching this grumpy hero go soft for 'his girls'. I feel like these are such feel good comfort reads and I've loved each one! Bring on Fitz's story next- I'm so excited!

3.5⭐️
This could have been so good. It had so much potential and could have easily been a 5⭐️ read for me. The only reason I cut 1.5⭐️ was because of a particular scene halfway through the story that irked me. It felt like Greer was simply using Stevie and in that instance, it felt like she was made to seem like some typa groupie/random faceless girl. As someone who personally likes it when fictional men makes their women come before they do, this part was highly disappointing. I feel like the reason why a majority of women read romance novels is because a woman's pleasure is given a lot of importance in these books and is just generally centered around it along with the romance aspect. I honestly love to read about men getting turned on/prioritising their woman's pleasure. Greer gave a really lame ass excuse for his shitty behavior and I felt like that part of the book could have been worked on a bit more - it was a bit of a let down ngl. I also feel like Greer wasn't as obsessed/didn't worship Stevie as much as I wanted him to - but again, that may be my opinion ig. However, if you're someone who isn't annoyed by this kinda stuff easily, then this book is the one for you. A fast paced sports romance with a grumpy hero, a single mom and dirty talk, Glove Save was a pretty good read for me (if we chose to ignore my lil problem with Jacob Greer). Personally, Macie was the highlight of the story with her sassy yet naive personality. In most cases with a single parent romance, kids are done kinda dirty (especially if they're older kids), so I was glad to see that the author managed to get this right. Overall, Glove Save was a good read and I look forward to reading more of Teagan Hunter's work!

Me gustó y lo disfruté muchísimo. ❤️💞

I was anticipating this one because I love the single parent trope and this series has been full of hits for me, but sadly, this one was a miss.

I didn’t like Greer, the hero. I didn’t like how he treated Stevie. They didn’t like each other very much at first because he was a grump, but honestly, I don’t think grump is the best term for him, because grumps are actually quite nice… and he wasn’t. The first intimate scene made me very uncomfortable, as did the whole sex dynamic. I admit I had to skim the steamy scenes, and I usually love the way Teagan writes them. As for the third act break up, I think Stevie forgives Greer too easily. I also think she did this after their first night together when he left so suddenly. His explanation was terrible, in my opinion. Overall, I enjoyed the moments of the rest of the team, because I also think Greer is terrible with them for literally no reason, but the romance… hard pass from me.

4.5 stars! Glove Save is book 6 in the Carolina Comets series and this low angst, hockey romance series has been such a delight! I definitely recommend this series, there is truly a trope and fav for everyone. This one is a grumpy hero and a single mom heroine!

Greer is a grumpy hockey goalie whose life gets turned upside down when Stevie and her daughter enter his life. He overhears someone getting handsy with Stevie at a party and steps in. Later he ends up asking for an exchange with her, his mom is getting remarried and wants him to have a date to this wedding since he embarrassed her at her last wedding. Greer asks Stevie to be his date, someone respectable who also won’t want anything from him. And in exchange, he offers to give her hockey-obsessed 10 year old daughter hockey lessons!

I just loved seeing this grumpy guy fall for Stevie and her daughter. The way her daughter and him banter and argue was so much fun and all the hockey time was so cute too. Another solid addition to this fun series!

Oh, my heart. Oh my gosh. Usually, I can think of something to say in a review, but I don't know what to say other than I loved it so much.

Even though I've already stated that I adore Miller, Greer might overtake his spot in my heart. Greer is different from what I anticipated. He may be a complete grump who believes he'll never fall in love, but watching him fall in love?!? The best thing I've ever read! My heart is bursting with how willingly he would do anything for Stevie and Macie. You won't believe how perfect he is.

Greer starts things off by helping Stevie in a predicament, even if she won't say thank you to him afterward. This leads him to visit Stevie's sister's donut shop more frequently than ever. He visits so much that he ends up asking Stevie to be his date to his mother's fourth wedding and becomes Macie's hockey coach if she agrees. This, coming from a man who dislikes children, is shocking. Yet, their frequent proximity gradually helped them lose their hatred for one another, and you can see Greer starting to open up.

And when I say Greer would go to any lengths for them, I really mean it. 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐭: This guy stops the whole bus to tell his girls he loves them. Guys, he stopped the dang bus! The moment Greer realizes that they are his girls has me sobbing. This man is so in love. Ahhh, I love them!

I could not get past 60% in this.
If you want to read a book with a FMC who has zero self-respect and an MMC who is an insensitive prick with not enough redeeming features, then this is your jam.
The sex scenes made me feel so uncomfortable and were not hot at all. Doormat meet arsehole. You are well-matched.
I am just going to spit up in the toilet now.

Glove Save (ARC review)

Teagan has written many incredible men but Greer is the one for me, that man is EVERYTHING. The way he's the grumpiest hockey player that doesn't believe in love but actually succeeds in getting his happily ever after and be so loved meant the world to me. Stevie is my favorite girl in this series, I loved how strong and independent she was, how she put her daughter first and was her biggest supporter, how she was kind and caring and had a beautiful heart that had been through a lot. Greer is a grumpy man that loves to fight with Stevie's daughter, Macie, he also loves pleasing Stevie and that man treats her like the queen she is. It took them some time to accept their feelings and be ready for a relationship but that was the best part. The time they shared together while forming a friendship was so beautiful, you saw Greer slowly falling in love with both Stevie and Macie and as he said these two were his girls. They were his everything as he also stated and he truly meant it, he would do anything for them. The banter between these three were also incredible and funny, I loved how Stevie and Macie didn't hide their dislike for Greer and I adored how he teased her all the time. Watching Macie bond with Greer and gaining a beautiful father figure that she trusted and loved was special to me. Greer had a beautiful development that led to him gaining his beautiful happily ever after.

I was wanting a goalie book and this delivered.

The ultimate grumpy character and honestly just a general dunce. He really can't see past himself to realize what he is feeling.

The communication was actually great once they started to talk about what was going on. I really loved the setup and dislike to lovers elements.

This is my first Teagan Hunter book. Glove Save is book 6 in the Carolina Comets series. This was a fun hockey romance book. I loved both Greer and Stevie. Grumpy hero falls for single mom and her daughter, some of my favorite tropes. I definitely want to read the entire series, I didn’t feel confused reading this one. So it can definitely be read as a standalone.

Start to finish in one sitting... that should tell you something. I was a little scared to read Greer's book after learning about him in the rest of the series. You all know why, but I love the way that Teagan writes these characters so much that I was able to read this book with little to no triggers!
Stevie is a single mom to Macie, and Macie is obsessed with the Carolina Comets. She doesn't much care for the grumpy goalie, but she loves everyone else. Stevie thinks Greer is just a party boy and she doesn't have time to mess around with guys like him. When he asks her a favor as payback, she has no choice but to get closer to him. As she does, she sees the reason he is so guarded and unable to believe in love.
Greer doesn't like kids, but spending so much time with Stevie and Macie softens him. He is so scared of breaking down his carefully curated world that he doesn't realize that these two girls are going to become his world whether he likes it or not. They will infiltrate his heart. I loved seeing this grumpy man get taken out at the knees by his "girls".

Miller baby, you're still my number one, but my boy here Greer almost, I mean, almost took the first place from you, I'm not going to say more 🧡

I think without a doubt the easiest five stars I could give, the story, the slow burn, the relationship between Greer, Stevie and my baby girl Macie is spectacular. Honestly, Teagan Hunter can write my life and I would be completely happy 🫡

Greer our favorite grumpy goalie, he doesn't believe in love and this idea of him is valid if we take into account his parents; but we see how little by little all that is changing after meeting Stevie that we met her in Scoring Chance since she is the sister of our girl Scout and if we remember they had a mishap in the donut truck and our baby Macie messed with him I think that's where this whole story started. I understand Stevie a little and his mixed feelings towards Greer because of Macie's aptitude towards him but seeing how little by little he won her over filled my heart with pure joy (I am weak for these actions), I loved every minute and every action of our goalie and seeing how he fell round for these two beautiful women made me fall in love even more.

This pair has its good part of tension, that tug of war that I like but you are also seeing all that evolution between them little by little and I loved it, I never got bored reading them, here Macie was the main character and no one can say otherwise because that girl is completely special 🥺✨

One of my most anticipated readings and I'm ✨not disappointed✨, I like to read my Carolina Comets again and now to wait for the next book that I know I'm going to like 🫡🧡

🫂thank you @teaganhunterwrites and @valentine_pr_ that gave me this arc in exchange for my honest review 📚!!

🏒 GLOVE SAVE 🏒 by Teagan Hunter

Pub Day is 2/23/2023!!

Let me tell you, this book was freaking amazing. It was a hockey romance (one of my faves) and the characters were witty, adorable, and spicy!!

Both Greer and Stevie displayed huge character development and we also got to see many other characters from the Carolina Comets series. This book is part of the series, but can easily be read as a standalone. It was the first book of Teagan’s I’d read, but I will definitely be reading the others now 🤩

⭐️ At a glance:
🏒 hockey romance
🏒 grumpy/sunshine
🏒 single mom

⭐️ If you want a full run down:
Greer is know as the grumpiest goalies in the league and he doesn’t do relationships. Period. Ever. His mom is a serial wife and his dad is a serial dad - hence the never dating/never wanting to get married belief he has. However, with his mom’s 4th wedding coming up, he’s required to bring a date.

Enter: Stevie. A single mom whose previous marriage soured her own love experience. While Stevie knows who Greer is, she’s not his biggest fan. His grumpy demeanor just isn’t for her.

However, after running into each other one night out, Greer helps Stevie out of a sticky situation. He also ends up telling her about his “needing a date” dilemma and Stevie agrees to be his date to the upcoming wedding. In turn, he has to teach Macie, Stevie’s daughter and a HUGE hockey fan, how to play hockey.

As the two spend more and more time together, feelings about relationships change and maybe Mr. Grumpy isn’t so grumpy after all 😉

Thank you so, so much Valentine PR and Teagan Hunter for the eARC in exchange for my honest review <3

4.5⭐️This is book 6 of the Carolina Comets series, and I can’t stop myself from binging the series in its entirety.

If you read any of the earlier books of the series, this follows Stevie, Scout’s older sister. She helps out at the donut truck when she’s not taking care of her fiesty yet adorable ten year old daughter Macie, so she is familiar with the hockey crew. Greer is another grumpy Comets player who, unlike his friends, is not looking for love, marriage or kids, especially since his parents have both been married multiple times. However, when his mom insists he brings a date to her wedding, he asks Stevie, knowing she owes him a favor, and the two get along way better than he’d ever expect.

I loved watching Greer tear down his walls and show his soft side around Stevie, especially through all the text messages. Macie was a fabulous addition to the story. I enjoyed seeing her passion for hockey as a young girl and her special connection with Greer as he taught he how to skate. Everything about the end, especially the two epilogues, was perfection and just made my heart melt.

Read if you like:
-Single mom
-Grumpy hero
-Hockey romance
-Texting banter
-Hate to love

Love this ❣️

- greer and stevie's banter is fun
- stevie and macie's relationship is adorable. also the newly found friendship between greer and macie
- his relationship with his mom is something new for me, you can really feel the love they have for each other. he's a great son and she's a loving mom
- their text messages (H/h) are so cute and funny how from one moment they're arguing then becomes flirting or vice versa
- he's a grump but is really patient with macie, i'd like to say that he's only doing that because he's getting something out of it, except, he's really starting to care for the kid (one time, he even glowered and scared those kids who insulted macie about hockey) 😅
- macie, she's so smart, funny, sassy, and determined. i love that she's a hardcore hockey fan and that she's not easily fazed by greer's scowling face. it's also admirable how she cares so much about her mom and that she's willing not to pursue her dream because she thinks of her mom's feelings (this was addressed properly, so no worries)
- i didn't like the way the first time they fooled around. what the hell was that? i'm probably sure there's an explanation later but i'm writing this while i'm reading, like i just literally finished that scene 😑
- oh well, i knew there was an explanation but leaving without a glance backwards, that's just a douchey thing to do and it really leaves a sour taste (will still be thinking if i can get past this)
- hmmm i think it's a huge step for stevie to be involved with greer, after being single for a very long time. can't say the same for greer because it has only been months for him 🤷
- ugh, seriously normally i don't have problem with this but why does it have to be always stevie first? and this again??? it's seems like he has to get his O first before her and i'm not really liking this shit
- he made up for that anyway, but what he did before really annoyed and ruined it for me that i didn't appreciate the smut anymore 😤
- about stevie she's happy to be used anyway (she said so herself), idk if it's just the lack of intimacy in her life or she's just really horny but she's too submissive when it comes to the H
- what's with her inner monologue that supposed to be only in her head but she actually says out loud? this happens a lot in the book, is this should be cute???
- jeeez 🤪
- i think her brain is fried after one time of having sex with him because she keeps saying "yours, yours, yours"
- i think we've established that he's an asshole from the beginning, and his outburst from being dragged from the game maybe is expected. i know that he didn't mean it but he really scared the shit out of her and his words were like gut punch to stevie
- well, i have to say that i'm proud he didn't let the issue fester and he freaking finally admit how he really feels, how the hell he can be a jackass and a sweetheart at the same time 😭😍
- the bonus epilogue that was soooo amazing, i love it ❤️❤️❤️

(I received an ARC for this book)

Trigger Warnings include:
past mental & physical abuse, attempted sexual assault

Technically, this is grumpy/sunshine. But there are no rays of sun shining Greer’s way. And he’s not grumpy, his life just “lacks love”. Poor thing even doubts the love of his teammates! I need to hug him! (And then climb him like a tree.) To Greer’s dismay, he needs to find a date to his mom’s wedding, to keep him from causing a scene with a bridesmaid, or two. How Stevie becomes his first choice, no one is sure. Especially not Stevie! But when the big bad goalie becomes the big bad wolf, something changes between them. Not at first. Oh no, first it gets messier, and it’s so fun! Thankfully, Stevie gives in, but not without requesting something in return. I adore the bond that formed between Macie and Miller, but nothing compares to Macie and Greer. I thoroughly enjoyed the switch in Greer. It was just a tad gradual, but definitely in the fast lane! Without even realizing it, they both become a constant in each other’s lives. When he had his lightbulb moment? I nearly cried. I know we all agreed that Smith was Mr Dirty, but Greer definitely threatens that spot. (I personally think he stole it!) You protect the goalie. Every hockey fan knows that he’s the MVP. Most Valuable Precious Cargo. And Greer may be a fictional goalie, but that changes nothing. I’m a goner for this team, and this book proved that, for the sixth time. But Greer…maybe Greer is my favorite.

My Favorite Quotes:
• “I would have kissed you like this.”
• “Eyes on me.”
• “You like that idea, huh? On your knees, then.”
• “I’m not so certain I can be gentle. In fact, I don’t want to be gentle. Do you understand?”
• “So proud of you.”
• “You’re stunning, and I want to worship your body properly if you’ll let me.”
• “My handprint looks good on you.”
• “That’s my girl.”
• “Come for me like the good little girl you are.”
• “Trying to decide if I should rip your gown off or be a gentleman.”
• “They’re my girls.”
• “I plan to make you say yes every damn chance I get.”

I really wanted to love this like I've loved other books in the series. Scoring Chance was one of my top reads of 2022 and I was hoping this would follow suit. It could have happened, if there had been enough development of certain things and others (mainly two events) left out.

I really Really hated the first hook-up... he just completely uses her and then tells her he has to go. And the whole oh I'm sorry I had to rush bc I was going to lose it? And wanted a special night?

1. Could of at least gotten her off

2. Why not have him mutter something about needing to gtfo before he loses it or something so she has an inkling of an idea that he likes/wants her (and views her as more than a 🔦)

3. I like that he wanted a nice night in the hotel, but she had previously been fine with and wanted to be at home and clearly felt safe/comfy there. It would be one thing if he had the hotel full of candles and decor and switched up the mood but no... he goes right back into the same...task.

With their hookup style, I wish we just got more. Starting with more build-up. More of a hint than her liking being called "Good girl" would have warned me up to his hookup style, and made even the first event a little more palatable. And then when it fully happened, properly for them both, a further push into their obvious preferences would have been nice too.

Regarding the second thing I wish was left out... Why. Why did he have to throw things and scare her? That scene could have been Just as powerful with only his harsh words and very understandable emotions. We didn't need to have her getting flashbacks and him being similar to the ex. She showed how strong she was by leaving that ass and being able to talk about him to Greer. They had a good convo about it outside the school in a situation that made sense. It never needed to go past that. And him telling her Oh yeah don't let me do that again don't let anyone treat you like that. Unnecessary. Read a little condescending to me.

Sorry for the long post, but these ideas have been rattling around since I finished it. I do hope there's more in the series (Fitz & Rosie?) and I know I'll be picking up more by this author. This one just missed the mark for me.

This moment...it's fucking magical. I can't imagine a place I'd rather be with. Her. It's all I want. All I need.

4.5 stars!

I have to say, this is my second favorite of the series so far just behind Rhodes' book! I just love grumpy heroes, and Greer definitely lived up to his surly reputation in the best way. I absolutely LOVED Greer and Stevie together; she didn't take any of his shit and wasn't afraid to give it right back to him--neither did Macie! I loved watching Stevie and Macie slowly breakthrough Greer's walls and help him transform from a domineering jackass to a slightly-less grumpy jackass who's soft only for his girls. But as much as I loved Greer and Stevie, the absolute best part of this book is the interactions between the Comets players. I love seeing past players happy and in love, and I am so stoked for the stories left to come!🖤

Tropes: hate-to-love-you, single mom, grumpy hero, hockey romance, slow burn, frenemies-to-lovers, dirty talk, praise kink, 'who did this to you' vibes, band of brothers, found family, STEAMY🔥

This book features sassy single mom, Stevie and her feisty daughter, Macie who’s obsessed with hockey and more specifically The Carolina Comets NHL team.
Stevie is a familiar character from previous books in this series of interconnected standalone’s. Her sister is dating a Carolina Comet, and her sisters donut truck is a favorite food spot for the Comets players.
Enter the Comets goalie, Greer. He’s the quintessential grump who doesn’t like kids and doesn’t believe romantic love exists.
His mom requests that he bring a date to her 4th wedding, yes fourth ;)
Enter Stevie who he brokers a deal with, she’ll be his date and he’ll give her daughter private hockey lessons, which is pretty fantastic for her daughter and great for Stevie as hockey lessons weren’t in her budget, plus Macie will get taught by a professional player. It’s an incredible deal.
The pair have a lot of great snarky banter that has the sexy spark of enemies to lovers chemistry. I love the sharp quips and humor that they share.
Her daughter gets in on the taunting of Greer at times as well. She’s so smart and spunky, I adore her.
The humor is great, the mom/daughter duo are so likable.
At one point Greer does something to Stevie that made my jaw drop, I didn’t think he could redeem himself…. Yet, he did. His emotional response and reasoning made sense to me and I was cool with him. Phew!
They embark on a bit of “fun”, a no strings, nothing serious quasi dating relationship. It’s quite naughty and hot with a touch of k!nk that was unexpected. I LOVE it!
I enjoyed their spicy sexual interactions and combined with their banter this made for a really entertaining read.
The heart of this story is definitely brought by Stevie’s daughter, Macie. She brings so much to this story, I love the interactions with her and her spirited, smart attitude.
The secondary character’s (the hockey teammates and their significant others) as always are fun, hilarious and give plenty of taunting, jokes and commentary to Greer and each other.
I love this addition to this fantastic sports romance series.

Greer is the ultimate grumpy, hockey playing, tough guy who doesn’t believe in love. Stevie is a single mom who can’t stand Greer and his jackass ways, but she’s an amazing mom to a hockey obsessed girl who needs a coach to get caught up with the kids who have played hockey their entire lives. When Greer needs a date to his mom’s fourth wedding, Stevie agrees on one condition- Greer helps her daughter, Macie, make her hockey dreams come true.

I love all of the Carolina Comets, but I think Greer and Stevie’s story might be my favorite! I love grumpy x sunshine and Teagan Hunter totally delivers. Greer is super grumpy but still like-able and I was totally rooting for Greer and Stevie from the start. Macie is super cute and a great addition to the story- she plays a meaningful part in the plot. I’m not always crazy about kids in books because they seem to be written as acting too young/old for the age they are supposed to be and Teagan wrote Macie just right!

The spice in the book is the spiciest of the Carolina Comets series in my opinion, and I am here for it! I read this book in pretty much one sitting and I wanted more, even though it is the longest in the series. I love Greer, Stevie, and Macie and I really hope we continue to get glimpses of their lives as the Carolina Comets series continues.

Greer doesn't do love. But hes in a predicament & when he makes an offer she can't refuse, Stevie ends up where she least expected.

First of all, Stevie is a total badass. I absolutely loved her adoration for her daughter and her willingness to give her the best life possible.

The burn was S L O W but it was worth every second. Greer is all "dirty talking grumpy goalie" with a side of "Good Girl" behind closed doors and I couldn't handle it🥵 that man!

I loved the relationship with the side characters. But let's be honest, Macie stole the show. She was adorable, sassy and oh so funny.

What to expect:
🏒HOCKEY
🏒Grumpy Goalie
🏒Single mom
🏒Slow burn
🏒Good Girl
🏒Funny banter
🏒[Even funnier 10 year old]

Greer and Stevie’s connection was hinted at during the last book, and it definitely delivered! Greer is the hockey team’s goalie, and known for being a grumpy ass. Stevie is a single mom with a hockey obsessed daughter who helps out her sister in the donut truck. Greer and Stevie disliked each other immediately in the last book, and it carries over into Glove Save. It doesn’t help that Greer’s daughter, Macie, loves to tell Greer how he can do better during his games (LOL).

Things change for the better when Greer needs a date for his mom’s wedding. Greer saved Stevie in the beginning of this book, so he’s cashing in on his favor. To make it sweeter, this grump even offers one-on-one private hockey lessons for Macie, which made me SWOON. Of course, the dislike between Greer and Stevie doesn’t last for long as they spend time together.

I’m a sucker for single parent books, especially when the hero/heroine has to work to bond with the love interest’s kid. Stevie was a great mom, despite her past, and she deserved a man who was all in for her. Greer didn’t have the best example of relationships growing up, so it was sweet to watch him realize how in love he was with Stevie and Macie!

This author’s writing is simple and hooks you in from the start! The third act conflict never drags out, and it resolved beautifully in Glove Save. I loved catching up with the couples from the past books, and I can’t wait for Fitz’ story!!

Thank you to the author for the ARC!
