Banjo is the story of a working dog left at a rescue center with a broken leg. In an unlikely love at first sight encounter, his sad, soulful eyes connect with Angie who works at the shelter. She then breaks all the rules and brings the injured dog home, knowing beyond a doubt that Banjo will come to impact the lives of many in their small, closely-knit town. Through his uncanny canine intuition and peaceful demeanor, Banjo reminds the townspeople to be kind to one another, help those in need, and recognize those who offer their graciousness.

Banjo by author Amy Sutton is a moving and deep story that remind readers the importance of kindness, love and mutual respect. Dogs are known for their loyalty, and this story not only reflects this, but also shows important values that enrich the coexistence with humans.
The main character is Banjo, an injured working dog abandoned at a rescue center, who develops a deep relationship with Angie, a worker at that shelter. By the way he is, his experiences and behaviors, Banjo reminds Angie and the people of her small town about life values and essential feelings that sometimes seemed forgotten.
All in all, this is an inspirational book that will surely make readers go through many emotions!
Who does not like reading a story about a dog? Banjo Is one of the sweetest stories I have ever read. Written in a dialogue-based form, the book is inviting. It has a really good plot but the only way to get a real sense of what is going on in this tale seems to be through multiple perspectives and this was a good choice of narrative vehicle – the author provided a multi-dimensional, layered quality to the central conflict, and everything developed through dialogues. And, at some points, there may even be what I can call “conflict”, bringing with it appropriately bold plot paths where, for example, otherwise heroic characters take some minor wrong decisions.
Following the life of Banjo, a working dog who was abandoned, the author, Amy Sutton, delights us with this impressive fiction. During his stay at the shelter, Banjo runs into Angie, who immediately welcomes him.
To begin with, right from the beginning, this book is inviting, the cover is captivating and makes the reader want to know more about the characters.
With the strategically selected words, author Amy makes this work an adorable fiction, with a unique plot. I have always been a lover of movies or books whose characters are animals, specifically dogs, and I must admit that this story touched my heart. I hope I can read more fiction of this type.
As a dog lover, as soon as I saw the title and cover of this book, I knew it would be engraved in my heart; let me say I was absolutely right. It’s a well written, entertaining book about an abandoned canine that changed everyone’s life in a town, especially Angie’s destiny. What I liked the most about the title is that Banjo teaches invaluable lessons and drives the reader to do things in the best possible way. I wouldn’t say it was a real tear jerker but it had some emotional moments. I highly recommend it for people who like this type of books or anyone who enjoys in-depth storytelling with a large cast of characters and pets.
