Chase Hill has a great way making of making you open your eyes and see what you have been doing wrong. The book did help with my confidence, however, I still have a long way to go. He suggests ways in which you can change the way you perceive yourself, in order to make others treat you with respect.
Personally, I’ve always let people push me around, in my social life, as well as in my work life, and I’ve never been confident enough to put a stop to it, in a firm, but gentle way. The book acts only as a guide, it won’t magically change your whole personality and make you achieve your goals. You still have to work for it. You have to become uncomfortable and make it your new normal, if you want the training in this book to work. The book will guide you on how to break a vicious circle.

If you have problems in your day-to-day life and if you have low self-esteem, pick up this book and give it a try.

Having not read other books on the topic I did find this very interesting, very informative and I related to many points discussed. The book covered passiveness, assertiveness and aggressiveness in a balanced way and provided good advice for a range of situations. The language throughout was firm but gentle and encouraging. Each chapter was consice so it was easy to take away the key points.

I haven't put into practice any of the ways to be more assertive yet but I highlighted a lot of points in the book to come back to.

I would recommend this book if you want to be more assertive in different parts of your life.

A very easy and beneficial read for soft hearted people and people pleasers.

If you cannot say "No" when you have to or if you don't want to do when someone wants something from you that you cannot deliver, then this is the book you shall read.

Many tactics and behaviors recommended in this book are targeting to transform you into someone with a strong personality, and character boundaries that no one can ever try to pass.

How to be assertive, how to be more firm and how to actually say no when you want to say no.

A lot of things I learned in this book and one of them is most likely how to stand your ground against oppositions even when the structure is against you. Sometimes the person you have to be firm is not your enemies but mostly friend in disguise. So, you have to at times delay, or use the phrase, let me get back to you, to gather yourself and really compose a concrete yes or concrete no.

Assertiveness Training is a fantastic guide for anyone looking to speak up and set boundaries without guilt. The narrator’s clear delivery makes complex concepts easy to understand, and the exercises are actionable in everyday life. I appreciated the balance of theory and practice, which helped me feel more confident in professional and personal situations. Highly recommended for self-improvement listeners!

Helpful, but nothing groundbreaking. Good examples and plans for integration into the real world. but not enough in the way of prep and goal-keeping / tracking.

A real gem. Practical, but not preachy. Easy to read, but at the same time it gives you things to think about more deeply. While reading the book and trying to practice with the techniques given in the book in my own life, I felt like the author was walking next to me the whole time during this journey, and I personally loved that.
