Two years have passed since Ari was taken as a prisoner to the troll realm. Two years of blood staining her hands, killing as the troll king’s mercenary. In Eida, it’s kill or be killed, and Ari will do anything to survive.
But survival does not come easy in Eida, especially for a young woman with fire in her blood.
When Ari's sold to one of Eida’s most notorious training masters, her survival comes with a price: unleash the monster she’s buried inside. A very real and very dangerous creature no opponent can defeat.
Ari expects to kill. She expects to survive. But she doesn’t expect the growing feelings she has for the man who has claimed her as his. Together, Ari and her master will cut down every opponent in the arena seeking a wish from their king.
Until a man from her past challenges her within those walls, and everything Ari has fought for crumbles. All for a man she once loved. But if she is to save her own life, she must take his.

I’m literally speechless. Words cannot describe how much I loved this book. AHHHH OH MY FREAKING GOSH LIKE WHAT?!?!!! 😱😱🤩🤩 And that ENDING!!! 😱 Well of Eida is easily my favorite book I read this year. 100/5 stars!! ⭐️ Kim has mastered the art of storytelling and I can’t tell you how excited I am to see where she takes this story!
Ok ok, so first: world building. The world Kim has created with Eida and everything about it was so wonderfully created!! It feels full and rich, with history, different lands and things that come from those places, creatures, how not everything is what you think, the games in the arena and how humans “Seekers” can come to Eida to fight for the chance of their wish to be granted, everything about the Fallen, Marked, Monsters, masters and trainers, the Troll King, just all of it was so immersive!! 😍😍😍😍
The plot was so hooking and I could barely (barely meaning not ever! 🤣) put the book down. There was never a slow moment or spot where the story sagged. Literally all of it was perfection! 😍 I looove the concept of Ari having been stolen into Eida and forced to fight for her survival. Each chapter had me turning the next page, needing to know what happens next. I was completely invested in the storyline and needed to know how Ari would get herself out of tight spots or watch as she trained and grew stronger.
Now onto the characters. ALL. OF. THEM. ARE. AMAZING!!!! 🤩 Each one is so well developed, with their own goals, motivations, struggles, and wants. Ari was this strong, gritty, do whatever it takes kind of girl, and I LOVED her!! She’s hurting and broken, has had so much trauma and betrayal, yet she keeps going, her need for survival fueling her on. I really liked how the author incorporated her and the other characters’ flaws into them and how that feeds the “Monster” inside. Because Ari isn’t perfect, she’s selfish and greedy, but she has a heart that cares and grieves whenever someone is wrongly hurt. I loved loved LOVED reading her journey and how she grew through this book, and that twist at the end was EPIC!! 🤩 Graeden. My beautiful, handsome, broody, soft-hearted, mysterious, strong, incredible man Graeden!! 😍😍😍😍 I absolutely love him! At first he was this harsh master, but then as Ari got to know him he turned out to be such an amazing person, and the little soft moments he had with her were to DIE FOR! 😭😍😭😍 I can’t say much about Tib because of spoilers, but let’s just say he grows on you. There’s a bit of a love triangle and while I’ll forever and always love Graeden, Tib was still a great guy who never gave up to save what he loves.
There’s so much I want to rave about but I can’t because SPOILERS, but let me just say you NEED to read Well of Eida by K.B. Benson!!!! I PROMISE you it won’t disappoint! There’s so much epicness, heart, romance, battles, fighting through darkness, dragons, and just everything you could possibly want from a fantasy book!!! 🤩🤩🤩
*I was given a free ARC from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own*
I loved this book! Benson absolutely delivers with a fierce heroine, edge-of-your-seat action, emotional betrayal, deliciously morally grey characters, a gritty world, and swoon-worthy romance.
Something that instantly makes me a die-hard fan of an MC is determination, grit, and the ability to survive and overcome huge obstacles. Ari is all of this and more. The emotions swirling inside of her, the pain of her past, the devastation of her mistakes, her grief...it's all relatable and makes her complex and the perfect morally grey character to root for. Every choice she's made is understandable and justified, even when she walks a dark line.
And let's just say...Graeden and Tib are both fascinating characters--and such opposites. I am fascinated by how Benson developed all of the relationships and how she wove character arcs in unpredictable ways throughout this story. Many times I felt myself swooning over one potential romance one moment and then reeling as conflict and angst made me question whether that romance was possible. I don't remember the last time I wavered so much, both rooting for and questioning various relationships and potential relationships.
Also...the world. Ugh. I love how Benson developed the magic and the world, creating a gritty, dark place that occasionally surprises you with moments of unexpected light and hope. I love how unique the magic system is.
I absolutely cannot wait for this book to be released with the rest of the world...and I definitely can't wait for the rest of this series!
Well of Eida is a dark whimsical fairytale you'll fall in love with, filled with angst and tension and plot twists galore. Benson takes you high fantasy from the Well in the Enchanted Wood to Arautteve to the Troll King.
I honestly don't know how to talk about this book without spoiling it, so you'll just have to trust me on it. It's gritty and relatable. A fierce YA that'll have you swoon and questioning everyone's loyalties. I can't wait to see what is in store for these characters throughout the series.
I have been speechless for days over this book. I wish I had the words to describe just how much I loved this.
The author did an amazing job balancing out world building, character building and plot. It flowed together so well. There was never a dull moment. This is one of those books that once you start reading it is extremely hard to put it down. It grabbed me and never wants to let go. It’s been days since I’ve finished this and I am still thinking about it!
This book is so adventurous and full of amazing characters and plot twists. You will not regret picking this up.
First off, I love that at the very beginning of the book, you get district descriptions and a pronunciation guide! Next, I love how quickly I was sucked into this story! This is a story that is fast paced right from the start and you can quickly get a lay of the world, its magic, and its monsters. Each of the characters were so well written with their own goals, hardships and motivations. You get a MC who is full with a desire to survive and forge her own path in life. She's determined to survive and live a life of her choosing. You also get two male characters that you can't help but grow fond of. Both strong, determined and stubborn but also vastly different. I cannot wait for book 2 because of that ending! It felt so wrapped up but also leaves you wanting more.
KB Benson has done it again! I loved her Call of the Siren series and this one seems like it is going to be just as awesome. I love that the heroine is strong, brave and also vulnerable. She is a fighter but also knows when it’s time to open up and learn something. The plot twists are so fun and engaging. It is placed in a magical realm and existence that is so imaginative and creative. I cannot wait to see how the rest of the series comes out!
This is a brutal, bloody descent into a troll-run underworld where survival is earned through gladiatorial combat.
This one took me by surprise, as it was definitely darker than I expected. I was drawn in by how distinct and ambitious the setting felt. It’s dark and gritty, with dense world-building and a fascinating mash-up of monsters, magic, and violence. Something I did not expect, but very much appreciated, in a YA fantasy. The world-building is dense and packed with original ideas and an edge that keeps you on your toes.
Ari has been killing to survive (after a huge betrayal) for two years when we meet her, and that backstory raises the stakes in a big way. She’s a mess of trauma, survival instinct, and simmering rage, and it works. I appreciated how Benson leaned hard into the horror of the system Ari finds herself trapped in and how she's changed to fit her circumstances.
The world-building and magic were both really interesting. Trolls are wildly underused in fantasy, though they honestly seemed to maybe have some notes of unseelie fae? I appreciated the effort to center a different kind of creature and build a whole society around them. The world is brutal, layered, and full of potential, and I am planning to pick up the next in the series asap.
That said, there were times when the gritty tone was mismatched by Ari's juvenile behavior or incredibly poor choices. It makes sense, given her age and past. Still, there’s a slight disconnect and it can be jarring. A few plot twists relied a little too much on convenient timing or drama for drama’s sake. Finally, the romantic dynamics were a big miss for me. Ari is owned by Graeden, and even though the story tries to make space for trust or care between them, it just didn’t land. The power imbalance was too much, and I couldn’t root for anything resembling romance there. As for the love interest from her past? That thread had potential, but it feels like they’ve grown too far apart, and not in a way that makes for compelling reconnection. More like two people who no longer fit. Still, I'm really interested to see if Benson can win me over to either of these potentials.
Still, this was unique, intense, and hard to put down. I'm really looking forward to the next one!
After the man she loves betrays her and sends her into the Well of Eida, Ari spends two years fighting as an Unmarked Fallen in the troll realm. To leave Eida, she must take 4000 lives. When she finds herself captured by trolls and sold the highest bidder, Ari must release her inner monster.
This book was phenomenal. The writing really pulled me into the story, and I was on the edge of my seat the entire book. The story was so absorbing, and I couldn’t put the book down once I got started.
The world was incredibly interesting, new, unique, and detailed. The troll realm was fascinating, and the details weren’t info-dumped upon the reader, but instead they were slowly introduced throughout the book.
The characters were so well done. They were fleshed out, and I felt such a deep connection to them. Ari was my favorite character of the entire book. She’s incredibly badass, adjusting to a world that is not in her favor, but she’s also prone to her own human faults. Her inner monologue is refreshing because it’s very relatable, and her internal conflicts resemble mine as a reader. Graeden has my heart though. His devotion to Ari, as her trainer and as her ally and friend, was so captivating. I was rooting for him the entire time, and his backstory really confirmed my faith.
The tropes were not overused, but instead they were subtly done. Love triangle is one I find particularly frustrating, but it’s done so precisely that I was being tugged back and forth between Graeden.
There were twists and turns, and the foreshadowing made some of the twists predictable, but there were some plot twists that gave me whiplash from shock.
Overall, I highly recommend this for people who want a unique YA high fantasy book.
I read where the author wrote this book out of a time of grief and trauma from her infant son getting major heart surgery. I nearly cried several times while reading this book. I related because I also faced similar circumstances with my infant son. This book faces fear and the monster inside and that maybe just maybe your "monster" isn't actually so bad. It helps you face your fear, makes you stronger, makes you a stronger fighter.
Ari is a lot like Jude from The Cruel Prince series. (Note: the book itself is not like TCP, JUST the character, mmkay??) She at first is this tough girl, take no ish warrior, do whatever it takes to get to her own personal goal no matter who it hurts. But then poof, something (or someone) slowly changes them. THERE'S GOOD IN THIS WORLD MR. FRODO!
Anyways. This book was like the hunger games meets ancient roman gladiator fights meets portal fantasy. It was a very unique read that I honestly can't say I've ever read anything like this world. It was refreshing to see something so genuine! It's also clearly set up for a deeper dive into the magic system and world! I can't wait for book 2!!
Fall into this epic fantasy and you will be transported into a world full of high-stakes survival, a strong vengeful protagonist and hints of romance that is sure to steal your breath away. There was never a dull moment in this and despite my desire to slow down while reading this, I devoured it… happily!!
I was surprised with every turn of the page and my heart is in a constant tug between two men (but *cough* I know who I really want lol). KB really knew what she was doing writing this story and I am so ecstatic to have had the chance to read this early! I am still shook with that cliffhanger *goes to stab C* and am desperately awaiting the sequel!
I just had to pick my jaw up off the floor from that freaking ending! Holy smokes. The twist and turns of this book the entire time had by head going in every direction.
This dark tale was a breath of fresh air in the fantasy world for me. I was so intrigued to read about a world with trolls and no teeth that was dark and gritty. Not all a fantasy world we necessarily want to thrive in.
Graeden. That’s it. That’s all. If the world building isn’t enough, he will be. The FMC, Ari, is also great-stubborn, with a painful past who just yearns to get home.
Also, I can’t forget to mention, hands down the best first chapter ever. Seriously, I was hooked!
Holy wowza!! Kim did not come to mess around with this book! I absolutely adored it!!
The world building is full without being overwhelming. It's exciting and fun! The writing is great - it's tight and brings the full story to life! The men are just *chef's kiss* and I honestly can't pick a team yet. Our MC is everything I hope and want for - she's smart and tough but still kind. She can fight and take care of herself. She loves and has been hurt. She's multifaceted and I loved her!!! The action is fast paced and the magic system is so cool and new. I love the idea of a well that leads to the land of trolls. It's unique and definitely a page turner!! I couldn't put it down! Now I'm impatiently awaiting the next book! I highly recommend this to any romantasy lover!!!
Read if you like: Upper YA/NA epic fantasy, dragons, high stakes, shifters, hate to ???, morally grey characters, betrayal, female rage, gritty
I ate this book up! It’s a very exciting story, and I just found a new favorite fantasy series. There was so much action and some twists. My heart was pounding and I couldn’t look away. I loved the world building and the other fantasy elements, too. It felt fast-paced yet fleshed out at the same time. The FMC is FIERCE. Also, I really like how the slow-burn romance is definitely slow, which is my personal favorite. I’m not a fan of love triangles, but this one didn’t bother me at all (it’s not bad, I promise). It honestly felt authentic. I seriously did not predict the way the plot went by the end of the book, and I was shocked in a good way! It’s time to pick up book two.
Spice level: None (unless handle holding and a light kiss count) CW/TW: violence, severe injuries, death, mentions of slavery and SA
I was given the absolute honor by being asked to Beta read this amazing book. I was not compensated for this review and all opinions are my own.
First let me start by saying that I went into this book blind and had no idea what it was about. I knew the author called it Project Troll but other than that, I knew absolutely nothing about the content. The story begins with Aribelle, a young female living in a village within the woods. There is a well deep inside the forest controlled by the Troll King that can grant you your hearts greatest wish. You must either enter Eida, become a Seeker and fight for that wish or give the Troll King a human sacrifice. If you are that sacrifice you become a Fallen and will fight for the Troll King. Aribelle Is betrayed and thrust into the world of Eida where she must learn to fight for the Troll King or she will perish.
This book had me experiencing all kinds of things while reading. I went through every emotion and then some hoping for my HEA. The anxiety while reading and not knowing what was going to happen was intense and that is how I know it's great book. That feeling of not wanting to put the book down because I NEEDED to know what happens next. The writing in this book is flawless and easy to understand which I appreciate. The characters are strong and determined. Each one has a goal that they need to obtain and each has their own individual story that was incredibly alluring. There is a glimpse of romance that was present in the book but not overpowering where it took over the main plot but enough where I enjoyed the balance. I truly loved this book and can't wait to see where the next story takes me. I am here for the series and will be first in line to pick up the next book. I give this incredible story 5 stars.
I would pull the stars from the heavens for you, if it is what you wished

My Thoughts
After reading many dark romances this past year, I felt called back to my first love of YA Fantasy. I will always love YA fantasy and this book right here just went to the top tier of my favorites.
In the beginning you are handed a map and pronunciation guides which I adore when I am jumping into a new fantasy series! It comes in handy for those visuals like I am to be able to place everything. Right from the beginning we meet Ari, our FMC, and when she is betrayed you are immediately sucked into this story.
The FMC Ari, is absolutely fantastic. She is strong willed but not to the point where she is without her faults. I loved everything about her honestly and loved seeing her go through the stages of growth that she did. We watch her go through betrayal and heartbreak and find herself again.
The world is absolutely unique and not something I have read in a long while. The descriptions of everything literally make you forget that you are reading and lets you escape into a world other than reality.
This is a SLOW BURN... so slow and the tension and angst are just everything. I still don't know where I stand on who I love because it has a love triangle (which is one of my favorite tropes) because both are unique in their own ways.
The ending.... wow. I can't say much without a spoiler but that ending is just everything. I didn't see it going like that, and I'm glad that it did.
Overall I truly enjoyed this book so so much! I can not wait for the next installment.

Thank you to K.B. Benson and Hidden Hollow Tours for the opportunity to read this ARC in return for an honest review. While I was gifted the book, the thoughts and opinions of this book are strictly my own.
I LOOOOOVE this book!! It was so good!!! The story was so intriguing; the world incredible; and the characters are amazing!! Benson's writing is fantastic! I was constantly on the edge of my seat wanting to know what would happen next. Ari is a protagonist to root for, but also very human. She makes mistakes and sometimes bad decisions. But the girl has been through some crap and has been made to have to look out for herself first. But despite all the darkness she has been through, she still has a heart. She cares for those who matter to her and is willing to fight for what matters. Speaking of the darkness, I love the message of finding your strength and that there is light even in the darkness. Benson also does a fantastic job with the romance. She takes a familiar, mostly unpopular trope and does one of the best jobs with it that I have ever seen!! Like seriously, I was so impressed! I cannot wait to see how the romance turns out, because at the moment, I'm not even sure which way I hope to see things go. Which says a lot to how well she did with the trope!! I love Ari and the supporting characters. I love the world-building. I seriously could not put this book down and finished it wayyy late at night because of it. And now I cannot wait for book 2 because I need to see where this story goes. One of my favorite reads this year!
This book blew me away. First of all, my jaw literally dropped after reading the first chapter. Right away, I knew this book would hook me and take me on a wild ride. And I was not wrong!!
I loved K.B. Benson's reimagining of the "troll under a bridge" fairytale. This high fantasy was utterly unique, and though it took me some time to grasp the troll world, it was well worth the effort. It's an intricate society, well crafted and provided lots of opportunities for tension.
Also, the ROMANCE. Loved the enemies-to-lovers/master-slave vibes, and Graeden is the perfect morally-gray guy. I could have done without the love triangle in the second half though. That's basically my only complaint for this book is the guy in the second half and Ari's decisions regarding him.
I will be recommending this book to literally everyone. It has so many plot twists and has a fast pace. And also, there is a DRAGON. I can't wait to read the rest of this series.

Trigger/Content Warnings: fighting violence and death, plague death
KB Benson absolutely slayed it with this book! I was hooked from the very beginning and couldn't put it down. Ari, the main character, was so well fleshed out and had such depth to her personality and just made her a great character. All the characters had flaws that made them all the more relatable. I found myself cheering for some of them and other times I wanted to slap them for their dumb decisions. Which I loved! KB did such an amazing job fleshing out her characters and it made reading this book such a fun journey. There is a lot of violence, and fighting though. It was easy to follow along with and not get lost with what was happening, which I greatly appreciated. I'm not a huge fan of fighting scenes because its hard to follow most of the time, but this was very well done. I am super excited and anxious to find out what happens in the next book because KB really left us hanging with that cliffhanger! I highly recommend adding this to your TBR and if you haven't already, I would add her other series too! KB Benson has easily become one of my favorite authors!
When I began reading this book I didn't have many expectations. I'm a "if I like the caver I'll read it" kind of person and it didn't steer me wrong.
From the start you get given a map and a pronunciation guide which is amazing. It makes reading the book more enjoyable for me, as I know where the characters are going, how to say the words and overall just a better understanding of the main setting.
Ari the FMC, is brilliant. Each moment with her pulls you in and keeps you right there with her. While a strong person, she is not without her faults. She goes through many hardships, helping her to grow as person and find true herself.
The world is a fun one. The world building and descriptions of things made me feel like I was there. It was easy to fall into the book and escape to this world.
This is a slow burn love triangle. I'm not sure who's side I'm on yet as both have things about them to like and dislike.
The ending was not what I saw coming but, one I can be happy with.
Overall I just wish the next one was here already.
Thank you to the author and hidden hollow book yours for a copy of this to read.
A fantastically dark and often brutal tale of one woman’s fight for survival after being betrayed, WELL OF EIDA is the first book in a new upper YA fantasy (starring trolls!) that will have you hooked from beginning to end. The world that Benson created with this book was both enchanting and dark, and there was often an overwhelming feeling of hopelessness as Ari tries to win her freedom and make it back to the human realm. With surprising plot twists and even more surprising characters, I was so completely invested in Ari’s fight for survival. There are plenty of dark elements in this story, but there was a little bit of brightness with the romantic element. The romance is nowhere near front and center, but rather a subtle undercurrent that helped to bring a bit of brightness and hope to the story. Also, there’s a bit of a kind-of-sort-of love triangle, and that was certainly yet another surprising part. All told, I adored this book and I can’t wait for the second installment. 4.5 stars.

This book! I love this book. It had a slow start, which happens with world building, but then it picked up and I COULD NOT set it down! I am so glad a friend suggested this book and suggested I read the whole series!
The FMC grows with a strength she never imaged. The MMC in Eida is my favorite. "Villain" but with a soft spot for her *swoon*. The other main character has grown on me and I think you'll feel that way too!
If you love:
•Battle scenes and action •Betrayal •Plot Twists •Morally Grey MMC fighting feelings •FMC with hidden strength
You MUST read this!!
This book is no spice but does have intense battle scenes / violence. The battles take place in an arena (think Gladiator) and some out of arena sword action. While intense and descriptive it is not as graphic as some books I have read.
(Questions about the content? Ask me or reach out to the author.)
Check out Well of Eida and the other Fallen Kingdom Series books, Reign of Darkness and Shadows of Gold, out NOW!
I was hooked from the very first pages. This story took me on a journey I went through all kinds of emotions reading it. I loved the world of Eida it is filled with magic, secrets, monsters and more. Ari is my new favorite female protagonist she is strong, broken and fierce I loved watching her grow through the story. I definitely have a new fictional man crush I'll keep his name secret though. You see everything through her eyes and you don't know who to trust or root for just like Ari. I truly felt I was in her shoes. There were moments she made choices I was screaming at her not to make. She definitely kept me on my toes. I loved all the mystery and hidden layers to the story and so excited for more to come. I could compare it to other series like hunger games but honestly I don't need to this series stands on its own. It's unique, fast paced, intriguing and magical.
The Well of Eida is an intense, gripping story with trolls, an intriguing training master, and some crazy battles. Ari is amazing. She is strong, determined, while thrown into a horrible and unfair situation. Ari also carries tragic memories that she must overcome. The author does an amazing job with this terrible realm of Seekers and the Fallen and what lies within them. I can’t say what my most favorite part was of the book because it’s a spoiler but believe me when I say, it’s epic and I loved every second. And what comes of it is my favorite relationship of the story. I’m torn because the guys in the book, Tib and Graeden, are so different and have different motivations. I’m so excited to see what will happen with these characters in the next book. I bought a Kindle copy of the book from Amazon.
Wow wow wow wow wow!!! I'm OBSESSED! This is unlike any other fantasy book I've read, and it was super unique, with a fresh twist on all the things we love in fantasy. I Ioved every second of it! I've never read a book with shifters quite like this one, and it was so well done! The words jumped off the page like a movie in my mind. Character development was top notch and the magic system was amazing! Not to mention the romantic tension that had me frantically flipping pages to find out what happened next. I never saw the ending coming and now I desperately need book 2 to know what happens next! I think I need my own monster now🤣. Trust me, you'll want to read this one as soon as possible. Benson delivers on everything a YA fantasy should be! #TeamGraeden
Okay, friends, the book Well of Eida releases February 3rd. I was fortunate enough to be chosen as an advanced reader. Here is my review of the book
Well of Eida, by KB Benson is an adventure of twist and unexpected turns. The story immediately starts off, no waiting for background stories of the characters. Those come as the story progress. It's a thrilling, can't put the book down, edge of your seat what's gonna happen next book. I found it easy to connect with the characters. The description painted sceens of the book like a movie in my head. Well of Edia is a must read. The best part is it's a clean book that I can let my tween/teen daughters read. It has me wanting more and eagerly awaiting the next book in the series.
A powerful heroine! Check! Emotional betrayal, morally grey characters, AND PERFECT ROMANCE??? CHECK CHECK CHECK!! I freaking LOVE everything about this book.
Ari is everything and I need more of her. She is determined. She survives. She overcomes. She is a Queen!! No matter what she went through in her past, she wouldn't give up. Freaking love that. And I love that the woman is the morally grey character (Freaking hot) *Claps* I want MORE!
I love both Grayden (I don't think I spelled his name right) And Tib!! Polar opposites but such amazing characters. I love how the characters get wrote together, and how they build throughout the book.
I love how one page I was rooting for something to happen. And then I was worried that it wouldn't happen. And honestly the whole book kept me wanting more and more and it was a true page turned!
*Slow claps* Benson deserves a slow clap for the beautiful world building! The dark place with the random hope! Love it! The magic system? LOVE IT! Benson's writing? LOVE LOVE LOVE it!
This was such a great book. Benson has a unique storytelling voice that I fell in love with from the start. You get drawn in so quickly that before you know it, you've been reading for hours, and you don't want to pause for even a moment. It moves along smoothly, and there are enough twists to keep you interested from cover to cover. The characters have great depth and are really well-developed. Each one is unique in their own way, and you'll really enjoy getting to know them. The world was so well-built, with lots of depth and history. My biggest complaint is I want more - of the characters and the world! Overall, a great start to a new series!
Do you like action? Secrets? Twists? I do. This book started with a betrayal, moved to fantastically dangerous places, and ended with some deep emotional things that needed to be addressed. There are monsters of both the literal and emotional kind here… A main character who kicks some serious ass… and heart palpitating moments of several kinds. I LOVED this book and I cannot wait to see what happens in the next one!
The word Troll only meant that giant lumpish thing snorting boogers from the Harry Potter movie franchise. And then I read Well Of Eida...
Fast paced and gripping from the start to the end, this book is set in a dark and beautiful magical world that is unique. I loved the complex and morally grey characters, and there were plot twists lurking to surprise the reader from time to time. That ending was just amazing! I can't wait to read Book2 of the series.
Wow! This was not what I expected. I don’t know what I did expect going in, but this above and beyond surpasses anything I expected. The world building is done so incredibly well with gritty, relatable characters. You feel like you are there with Ari surrounded by trolls and fighting your way through every obstacle thrown at you. Do yourself a favor and pick this one up! I can’t wait for book two.
