This will be beautiful and helpful to others, but if I have to read about how God is gonna fix me one more time, my religiously traumatized ass is gonna lose it.

Some quotes were good felt like there was way to much focus on praying and god and as an atheist didn’t find those very helpful…

Nope. Definitely not it for me. It got to a point where k started skimming the pages before reading and if I saw the word God, I wouldn’t even bother reading that poem.

Hell nah. I’m not religious. Sorry but I’m not reading about how I need God to help me in my relationships. Nope.

It all felt very redundant and meh.

A lovely gift from Maddy! Just not exactly my cup of tea. A little repetitive and very religious. But easy to read and finished in a day!

This was okay. Some poems spoke to me but not that powerful as well as the message in so many of them were the same. I agree with other comments. I am not big on God fixing things for me. The overall book was not powerful to me

Had I know there would be prayers to god, heavy emphasis on being pure and meek, along with disorganized stanzas I would not have read this book.

Dare to Let Go by Alexandra Vasiliu
Dare to Let Go is a very deep-feeling book that guides you through the pains of your past. This is a book of poems where each one has a different meaning and a different “roadblock” you have to get past. Let go of your past, don’t dwell on it. The author did a really good job writing this book. On the first page, my attention was grabbed, sucked in, unprepared for the words I was about to read. This book has emotion, and the author did an amazing job showing that through the words that she wrote. There is a wide variety of poems in this book, including breakups, abuse, missing somebody, etc.
The theme of this book is letting go. I say that the theme is letting go because even though each poem has a different meaning, the common meaning in each poem is letting go. As the author explained in her poems, letting go is never easy. It may feel like you're in shackles, being held back. Once you find a crack, you find a way out, and you are free.
In my opinion, this book was a very good book to read. I have struggled with almost every single thing she talked about in her poems. I relate so much to specific poems in the book that I sat there and reread them multiple times because they truly fit in with what I was dealing with in life. This book could connect with many other books that talk about relationship problems, abuse, or just anything of that type. I recommend this book to anybody who has ever struggled to let go of something, whether that's an addiction or a person. I’m not sure it helped me heal, but I did enjoy reading this book. Depending on the person reading it, it could help them start letting go.

As someone relatively new to reading poetry, I found this collection to be an "okay" introduction. It’s accessible, though it didn’t quite hit me the way I was hoping it would.

The Highlights & Lowlights
- The Highlights: There are definitely some gems in here. A few specific poems really spoke to me and felt well-crafted.

- The Repetition: While some pieces resonated, I found the message in many of them to be quite repetitive. After a while, the themes began to blend together, making the reading experience feel less powerful than it could have been.

- The Lowlights: If you are looking for something to ponder for hours, this might not be it. For me, nothing in the book felt particularly "deep" or groundbreaking.

This was a decent read, but it ultimately didn't align with my personal taste. I didn't particularly enjoy the heavy focus on prayer and the presence of God; however, if you are religious or enjoy spiritual themes, you will likely find much more value in this book than I did.

Alexandra Vasiliu (AV) offers a beautiful psychospiritual poetry read that can heal and sooth the ache of loss, especially loss of romantic love. Very useful to read a few poems before bed, helps the mind relax and let go. Offers hope for transformation of grief and rage into something healthier and sustainable.

If you are an atheist, when AV occasionally uses "God" or "The Lord" occasionally, don't let it back you up. Just translate into "The Universe," "HIGHER POWER," "The Angels or Ancestors" or any other useful term, even the QUANTUM FIELD works. It's worth it. God has been so badly tainted over the years, but ultimately GOD = GOOD ORDERLY DIRECTION. We live in a participatory universe - it's truly alive. Each of us is part of this amazing field of energy. The energy goes by 10,000 names. Relax and love these poems to reach a new soft, healthier place in your healing heart💙

Okay, so real shit, the farther into this book I got, the angrier I became…

1. This feels like a milk & honey rip off, right down to the fine line doodles
2. I understand the overall theme for the book is “healing and finding yourself” but WOW, THIS SHIT WAS SO REPETITIVE! Like 40% of the book felt like the same poem chopped, screwed and remixed into something “new.”
3. This book has a clear religious theme throughout, that isn’t made clear until you crack it open and start reading, which is unfortunate for me because had there been any indication of such, I wouldn’t have had any interest in this title and could have saved money and time
4. It doesn’t even feel like poetry? It’s just paragraphs of thoughts with random line breaks to give the impression of poetry but there’s no true flow or anything?

Basically, I am unimpressed and disappointed 🤷🏻‍♀️

A message we all can use....

Letting go is essential to emotional and physical health. The practice of letting go is an art. So it is fitting that Vasiliu chose the art of free verse to enlighten us on letting go. She gives us the what, how, and why of just how beneficial letting go can be. Each poem is an encouragement to the soul.
My only negative comment is that in several of the poems she adds God as a resource for having the power to let go. While this may be an inspiration for some, for others it is a roadblock.
i highly recommend this book as an addition to your journey of self-realization.

This book is beautiful. Evry wword fills you and teaches you a lesson. the way that they talk about letting go of something or someone is painful and beautiful at the same time. This book touched me like 3 months after I read it. When I bought this book I loved every little single word that was in it but I couldn't relate. I thought I will never be able to but when the nect eevents in my life happened I found myself reading this book to learn and try to gain some clarity from it. The way that I craved to read it again when I could relate was so weird but exiting at the same time.
Looking forward to read more of Alexandra vasiliu

There was a great deal of understanding when it comes to a wide range of emotions and how to process them in a way to encourage readers to allow themselves to heal and move on. I loved that about this collection. The only aspect I was missing was the imagination that some of my favorite poets use to describe their emotions in a relative, visual kind of way, but then I realized that wasn’t the point of these. This collection was meant for healing and processing changes in relationships or life in general and I think that it did a great job in just that.

I appreciate the subject matter. Toxic relationships can leave festering wounds that metastasize in storage and painful ways. Little things evoke memories of past loves and we find ourselves mourning lives that could have been.

Unfortunately this book doesn’t really evoke these issues. It instead reads like a collection of Christian Hallmark cards bound together. Platitudes and calls to trust in God offer no real insight into the human condition and certainly do not afford us a chance to grow.

Dare To Let Go is a great inspiring poetry book for people who are struggling with life, and wanting to change their life slowly by healing and finding theirselves. This book really inspired me because it really helped me rethink about my life, and the way I think of my life. The author redirects people's mindset during hard times. Through many hardships, this book can teach and help you understand how to let go of the past, the toxic relationships, the hard times, struggles, etc. I greatly recommend this poetry to people who need internal and emotional support in their lives.

Who knew that a book of poetry could be so captivating and inspirational, connecting you to your soul and helping you discover yourself. This book is a simple yet powerful read that transcends negative emotions, teaching you about life, love, loss, and more. If you're seeking self-discovery through poetry, this story is perfect for you and I highly recommend it if you're looking for change in a dark phase of life.

I think the idea and meaning of the book are wonderful, I’m new to poetry and this reading journey didn’t excited me as much as I thought it would. I find some poems to be a little bit rushed and repetitive. Also didn’t enjoy the presence of god and praying that much, but that is my personal taste, maybe for other people that are more into religion that is gonna be great. However, some poems are really good.

This book is touching and beautiful, but having read it as a person who doesn’t believe in God, there are lots of passages I don’t agree with. I believe that our lives are within our hands, we are the protagonists in our life and not the puppets of god.

Meh - was hoping for a similar read to "You'll find yourself again" - this is like the knock off lame version. More so just seemed like a bunch of words spaced out on a page than poems or passages.

Also didn't realize it was religious !!! Not for me.

I loved this collection of poems - it was exactly what I needed to hear. With that being said, there is an emphasis on God so I wouldn’t recommend this to someone who is looking for something agnostic.
