Snow White #2

Silk Malice

Rate this book
Once upon a time I was left with nothing. Betrayed by my stepmother and stolen by my ex-fiancé. Now I’m battered but intact, just like my prized innocence.

My heart tells me I don’t want to belong to one man. I belong to four.

But the criminals I love are proud. Too proud.

Their brotherhood is in tatters.

They fight for me. And they possess me, even as the enemies close in. Even as the foundation of our twisted family crumbles. Even as the dark legacy threatens to consume us all.

SILK MALICE is book two in the SNOW WHITE trilogy. This is a scorching romance between a woman and four beautifully dangerous men in which she never has to choose.

Welcome to the Midnight Dynasty... The warring Morelli and Constantine families have enough bad blood to fill an ocean, and their brand new stories will be told by your favorite dangerous romance authors.

WARNING: This book is intended for readers eighteen years old and over. It contains material that some readers could find disturbing. Enter at your own risk...

You will be my everything, bella. My mistress, my wife, my whore, and my princess.”

How obsessed am I with this trilogy? I have no words. As I rabidly waited for the second installment that I couldn't get my hands on quickly enough, I thought I would take time to savor it when I read it. But nope. No savoring. Pure book crack binge ensued. And you know what? I'm not even a little sorry.

This dark Snow White retelling is basically my dream dirty trifecta:
1. Why choose- 4 ridiculously sexy men fully obsessed with our heroine? Check and check
2. Mean MCs- Yasss. Look, if you know me or follow my reviews, then you know I like them mean. And while their edges have softened a little, they are no less intense. Though they're all more obsessed then mean in the second installment. And I will take it, spank you very much.
3. All of the kinks

Oh my gawd. I mean, can we just talk about the kinks? We got degradation, praise, daddy, breeding, spitting. Which let me tell you, I didn't know spitting would be a kink I like but holy mother. I'm a believer. But I digress.

I loved watching January come into her own and grow from the sheltered naive young girl to someone who holds her own. But even more satisfying was the transition of hate/revenge to lust to obsession to love from our men. This was perfectly done in such a way that's both believable and satisfying. They each have their own journey to get there, which I also loved. You get a bit of everything, boyish wonder with Bobby, psycho obsession with Doc, tortured villain with Adriano, and complete obsession with Eli. God but I devoured it.

I also appreciate that while she leaves us needing more, Eve doesn't end this on a painful cliffhanger. It's clear something is on the edge of happening, but it's satisfying enough that I won't feel like rocking myself in a dark corner as I wait for the final installment.

You know those books that make the world around you cease to exist and suck you in completely into their vortex? This is one of them!

It picks up right after the cliffhanger of the first book. And I got into it so much I was late picking up my kid from school twice (only 5 minutes don't fret), burned the food, hit my hip on the doorjamb and generally did not occupy the same dimension as the rest of the world.

description

Once again, the pace and balance between January and her men was perfect. The change from villains to legitimate romantic interests was seamless. In fact, all of it for me was flawless and seamless. We see everything that January thinks, everything she feels and her attraction to all four men. The situations she finds herself in, and the realisation that these four criminals actually have feelings for her. Feelings she reciprocates, but their status quo must change and become something new. Old and new wounds have to be overcome and they'll all be forged anew into a different, stronger unit.

description

Unfortunately, nothing is straight forward and they still have to face their nemesis and Januarys former groom to be. The book doesn't end with a cliffhanger but with a threat that had the same effect to my poor heart. I cannot wait to read the third part and see how Velvet House as a whole will deal with the events coming their way.

description

When Eve Dangerfield decided to write Reverse Harem, she decided to blow all others out of the water. The chemistry, the push and pull, the hotness, the sheer carnality of it all will fry your mind and then you'll find the dimension I was in while reading. If you love dark Reverse Harems, this series is not to be missed!

Picking up after the shootout at the hospital and January Whitehall’s kidnapping by ex-fiancé, Zachery Parker, Silk Malice is non-stop action. Both with the extraction and revenge plans as well as the steam!

Seeing the Velvet House boys realize what January means to them - and the lengths they’ll go to get her back - was swoony.

I’m looking forward to Lace Vengeance, the final installment in the series.

Oh my,January finds herself in a conundrum with Mr. Parker and is desperately trying to figure out how to get away from him and his devious plans.
The four men of Velvet House are scrambling to find her and bring her home but they find help in the strangest of places.
What follows is a contact, mayhem and some very sensual scenes. Meanwhile January is trying to rid herself of her most coveted possession.
I can’t wait to find out what happens with January, Eli, Doc, Bobby and Adriano. 💕

Review:

“I’m sure there’s an alternative reality where January Whitehall has one good man, but in this reality, she has four hot, evil boyfriends.”

Did you like Velvet Cruelty? Then you’ll LOVE Silk Malice, even if you didn’t start reading this trilogy, go back and give it a chance if you like a good RH romance. I do and this one now is my favorite!!

Another good news for the Doc’s fans, Eve gives him here a lot of space. The guy deserves it because he is crazy! He made me laugh more than once and you’ll also be able to see better what happens in his insane head. Eli and Bobby also get the chance to show how great they are. Morelli with his strictness and Bobby with his sweetness. I only wish we had more time with Adriano…

In this book they all will have to compromise and learn how to make their unusual situation work. I loved every scene of them together. Also, by the end of the book I had a big respect for January who managed to grow up a lot here. Then we also have the villain… that Mr. Parker is one of the most vile and disgusting characters I’ve ever read! Eve was also successful creating someone as terrible as Caroline and Bryant.

I definitely recommend this book and I bet the last one will be as amazing as this one is.

3.5 stars just for the characters, mainly Doc Valente and his jokes.

I like this author, her monthly news letters are hilarious. However, this book to me was just ok. The smut was decent and the characters were fun, but there really wasn't much plot. I get that in this book January is getting to know the guys better in order to have a better relationship with them, but each guy pretty much got one chapter and bam it was to the group s*x scene.

I think series like The Royals of Forsyth University have spoiled all reverse harem stories for me. I mean this one came close, but I think Royals is more detailed and the guys develop more of a "realistic" relationship with the FMC. This one felt kind of rushed is what I'm trying to get at.

It was a fun, quick romp of a read. I will most likely read the last book in the trilogy when it comes out this Spring.

Side note, the Doc's dark Princess Mononoke jokes deserve giving this book an extra half star.

One last side-note if you haven't read this author's "Act your Age" book, please go do so now. It's an age-gap stand-alone, with a funny/quirky/sexy FMC and MMC. It's not organized crime based, but the characters are again the best! The FMC is an engineer who does roller derby on the side! She's the best!

I am loving this series! This is book two and they need to be read in order (it's a trilogy), so keep that in mind. But not only is this story fiery hot, it also has action, danger, and each character has a unique story and each guy has a unique bond with January. But yes, it's definitely steamy. And I really like the personal growth, not just with January but the guys as well. I can't wait until the next one, I couldn't put this down. And I highlighted a bunch of stuff!

If Velvet Cruelty was beginning of a filthy dark saga, Eva Dangerfield went straight to psychotic deviant level in Silk Malice. This Snow White retelling was wicked and devious and downright dirty. At the same time,I fell hard and fast for the perfectly flawed and damaged antiheroes. Sweet January will show that she has a lot of fire inside her innocent heart and pure body..and she is going to light up Velvet House.

January Whitehall has been kidnapped by four dangerous men who wants revenge on her fiance. But soon they realise that she is also a victim of the evil man's plan. Before they can deal with their growing obsession with sweet January..she is kidnapped again. They have to rescue her and claim her as their own but they will face a war. This is book 2 of a trilogy and must be read in order.

Holy fricking panty melting 0rg@&m inducing hotness! My heart is divided among four twisted men. Eli Morelli, the devil in suit coming from the rich and powerful Morelli family and the leader in a way. Domenico "Doc" Valente, the chemical genius who run on the need for vengeance and violence and the dirtiest in the group.
Roberto "Bobby" Bassilotta, the sweetest guy in the group yet with restrained darkness .Adriano Rossi, the scarred giant who can kill ruthlessly but also love deeply. All of them are broken in some way. So far, their friendship and loyalty kept them going. But January is a curveball. An unexpected and sinful distraction. She is slowly showing the fire in her and I love this new January. She is still soft and shy but sometimes she shines with boldness and confidence. The sweet virgin is getting corrupted and it was just too hot to handle! This story is more on emotional side too as we get to know the backstory of these crooked yet irresistible men. January has four dark knights fighting for her. Who will use her body and make her see stars. Who will worship her light and love her like crazy. Can any girl want something more? She holds all the power over this band of beautifully destroyed men and I am excited to see what happens next.

When I read the first book I though that is super dаrk and hot,but now that I finished this one I really understand, that I was totally wrong, because this one was hundred procent even more wicked, and entertaining!

In the second book January is still the naive shy girl, but in the same time have this spark of strength and hotness in her that start to develop in her and to get her men crazy!
Eli,Dom,Bobby and Adriane are still this aseholt, but even more possessiv, and commanding especially this prick Dom that trough the whole book was making me to love-hate him,and in the same time to die from laughing. The man is hundred procent crazy, but sweet in he's wicked way.
The drama is still there, and just when i was thinking that all is good and they will get they're happy end, the epilogue totally trove me under the bus literally and left me again impatient for ,what is going to happen next!

Oh my god. I need a cold shower after reading this book. I freaking love this series so much. These men are possessive, and wow, the dirty talk is insane. They are filthy; trust me, your panties will be drenched after reading Silk Malice.

𝒴𝑜𝓊 𝑒𝓃𝒹𝒶𝓃𝑔𝑒𝓇𝑒𝒹 𝓌𝒽𝒶𝓉'𝓈 𝓂𝒾𝓃𝑒, 𝒯𝒾𝓉𝓈. 𝒴𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝓁𝒾𝓅𝓈, 𝓎𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝒸💥💥𝓉, 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝑒𝓋𝑒𝓇𝓎 𝑜𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓇 𝒻💥💥𝓀𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓅𝒶𝓇𝓉 𝑜𝒻 𝓎𝑜𝓊.

I love January; she is sweet and innocent, but she still can hold her own, and she knows how to get what she wants.

Bash is just so sweet and loveable, but he loves January, and I love how he wants to protect her in his own way. I love the connection he has with her.

Doc is my favorite. This man and his filthy, dirty mouth do things to me. He is insane, and I love every minute of it, and the things that come out of his mouth have me laughing so hard. He is a top-tier book boyfriend!

𝐼'𝓁𝓁 𝒻💥💥𝓀 𝒽𝑒𝓇 𝓊𝓃𝓉𝒾𝓁 𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓇𝑒'𝓈 𝒶 𝓅𝑒𝓇𝓂𝑒𝒶𝓃𝓉 𝒾𝓂𝓅𝓇𝒾𝓃𝓉 𝑜𝒻 𝓂𝓎 🍆 𝒾𝓃𝓈𝒾𝒹𝑒 𝒽𝑒𝓇. 𝐼'𝓂 𝑔𝑜𝓃𝓃𝒶 𝓅𝓊𝓂𝓅 𝓈𝑜 𝓂𝓊𝒸𝒽 💦 𝒾𝓃𝓈𝒾𝒹𝑒 𝒽𝑒𝓇 𝒾𝓉 𝒸𝒽𝒶𝓃𝑔𝑒𝓈 𝒽𝑒𝓇 𝒻💥💥𝓀𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒟𝒩𝒜. 𝐼 𝓌𝒾𝓁𝓁 𝒸𝒶𝓇𝓋𝑒 𝓂𝓎 𝓃𝒶𝓂𝑒 𝒾𝓃𝓉𝑜 𝒽𝑒𝓇 𝓈𝓀𝒾𝓃 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝓂𝒶𝓀𝑒 𝒽𝑒𝓇 𝒹𝓇𝒾𝓃𝓀 𝓂𝓎 🩸 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓃 𝐼 𝓌𝒾𝓁𝓁 𝒷𝓇𝑒𝑒𝒹 𝒽𝑒𝓇.

Eli, deep down I know he adores January, but he has a difficult time opening up to her, but damn, he shows her who is the boss and also who is Daddy.😉

𝒴𝑜𝓊'𝓇𝑒 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝑜𝓃𝓁𝓎 𝓅𝑒𝓇𝓈𝑜𝓃 𝓌𝒽𝑜'𝓈 𝑒𝓋𝑒𝓇 𝒷𝓇𝑜𝓊𝑔𝒽𝓉 𝓊𝓈 𝓉𝑜 𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝓀𝓃𝑒𝑒𝓈, 𝒯𝒾𝓉𝓈.

Adri is a beast, and I loved seeing more of the softer side of him with January. He is an onion, so you need to peel back the layers really slowly. He doesn't want to break or scare her, but she did not let his size or his past intimidate her at all. She took charge, and I loved seeing that.

𝐼'𝓂 𝓈𝓊𝓇𝑒 𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓇𝑒'𝓈 𝒶𝓃 𝒶𝓁𝓉𝑒𝓇𝓃𝒶𝓉𝒾𝓋𝑒 𝓇𝑒𝒶𝓁𝒾𝓉𝓎 𝓌𝒽𝑒𝓇𝑒 𝒥𝒶𝓃𝓊𝒶𝓇𝓎 𝒲𝒽𝒾𝓉𝑒𝒽𝒶𝓁𝓁 𝒽𝒶𝓈 𝑜𝓃𝑒 𝑔𝑜𝑜𝒹 𝓂𝒶𝓃, 𝒷𝓊𝓉 𝒾𝓃 𝓉𝒽𝒾𝓈 𝓇𝑒𝒶𝓁𝒾𝓉𝓎, 𝓈𝒽𝑒 𝒽𝒶𝓈 𝒻𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝒽𝑜𝓉, 𝑒𝓋𝒾𝓁 𝒷𝑜𝓎𝒻𝓇𝒾𝑒𝓃𝒹𝓈.

After that cliffhanger, I can't wait to read Lace Vengeance and see how this story ends!

Aaahh what a continuation of the story! In book 1, Velvet Cruelty we were left with a cliffhanger and we finally got answers!

In this book we got to know everyone better. Even the evil Mr. Parker. It made me dislike the man more.
Each of the four men (Eli, Doc, Bobby and Adriano) has a part that makes them stand out and made me fall in love with them!! Hellooo, these four men have January's best interest at heart even if the way they communicate it or show it, is not the best. But there is nothing they wouldn't do for her, as is evident by their decisions.

I loved their interactions with January. And the steam! So hot! Everything about this book I loved. Unputdownable again.

And now I am in anticipation of book 3! How will this story end??

If you haven't started this series yet, I highly recommend you do. 😏

4/5 🌶️

I really loved this follow up to Velvet Cruelty. I feel like the story really kept moving nicely, plus we got more action; both beneath the sheets and with the bad guys.

January is still a bit of a whiny brat, but it was somehow easier to look over during this story. I loved how she found herself and her lady balls and really womaned up, standing up for what she felt was right and also to her men. The scene where she tries to get the guys to apologize to Adri was so, so good.

Doc is absolutely unhinged the first half of this book. He's so hot and cold and héĺĺbent on getting revenge in all the wrong places and I loved every minute. The pool scene in particular had me rolling, I just love him so much. Adri too, I love his soft side hidden within the monster. Those two are probably my favorite, but Bobby and Eli aren't far behind.

The epilogue really set up Lace Vengeance well. I officially can't wait to see how this trilogy concludes!

ARC Review of Silk Malice by Eve Dangerfield
* * * * *
The second installment in a dark and killer romance as innocence finds strength and accepts her bond between her man as they take on those against them.

January has been tricked, and was now back in the hands of the man who has controlled her life. A sick and depraved man who loves the power he has, and enjoys crushing her soul. Having been kidnapped by the men at Velvet House, experiencing delicious wicked and sinful things at their hands, promised wonderfully horrid things...she wants to go back to them.
Andriano, Doc, Bobby and Eli all own her.
Body and soul.

This book was a little less bloody and twisted than the first book, as it was an introduction to the characters and the situation and they world they lived in: money, power, kinks. This second read was more towards how January was figuring out what she wanted and how she got some real back bone. How she realised the power she had over men, and the power she even had over her disgusting ex-fiancee.
Don't worry readers, I didn't say it wasn't any less kinky or erotic! Someone pour me some water because this fire got hot! Spanking and choking and Daddy kinks galore!
You may think it's over, but it is far from done. Cannot wait to see what else is next!

An arrogant grumpy daddy
A Savage scarred face killer
A playfull twisted genius
A loverboy Kinky dominant
And one V card holder who best them four in their games and have them all on their knees for her.... Silk Malice is about what would you give up to have the person you love.

The characters growth are significant here. Specially January with the way her minds work, she is one stunning enchantress.
While the guys, I love seeing their other side. Doc with his scarred heart. Adriano with his gentle side. Bobby with his dominant yet still sweet side. And finally, daddy Morelli. Elliot and his need to ans fear for January.

The smegsi scenes are... Multiply by four.. Lol
Back door access √
Spit play√
Knife play√
The more the merrier play√
Rough, demeaning, name calling kinks√
Pages after pages of hot dirty smegsi suer sizzling steamy.... Ok you got my point, right... Lol√√√

But when you think it's all good... The evil still lurks.

Can't wait for book three!

My goodness! This series just gets better and better. I thought my lip curling disgust for Parker couldn't get stronger, but he is truly irredeemable, totally disgusting and deserves everything I hope he is going to get!
January's flight has led her into dreadful peril, her rescue coming from unexpected quarters. Doc is furious, Adriano slowly recovering, Bobby as fabulous as ever, and Eli...well Eli is all of the above, but also plotting. Something he is very good at.
This book moves quickly. We spend well written time in the heads of our protagonists, see steam rising out of the kindle and gasp at the massive cliffhanger!
A definite must of a book that leaves you tapping a foot impatiently for the finale! 💖💖💖💖💖

Was so anticipating this one.

I thought this one went a lot darker. And I’ve read a lot of Dangerfield’s books so I can say that the first one felt more clean cut but THIS book sounded a lot more like her crazy self. January’s still naïve but at the same time not? She’s gone through a lot in such a short time and I think it’s messed with her a little, but in a good way.

The bad guy is just truly a bad guy. It gets a little graphic with how bad he can be (rich-wise) and I don’t think I’ve hated many bad guys since Marian Tee with her evil people, but Mr. Parker takes the cake. Despicable dude that we get to see in high def.

I love the guys. They’re a lot more mellowed out in this one but are as tense as ever. I like that this took on a more romantic vibe even though nothing’s changed and they’re still keeping her safe. They’re rough around the edges but she has a lot of patience and understanding for them and that’s the only thing that makes it work, their fascination with her kindness and her inability to leave the men who’ve ironically given her freedom.

I devoured the thing in a day and had a good time cursing out some of the characters but overall it kept me entertained and moist (yes I went there). I will warn that it’s got some kinks so if you’re not into that, you should find out why not.

MFMMM/RH/multi POV/dark romance/med burn/enemies to lovers/virgin FMC/praise/degradation/spanking/minor cliffhanger

This is book 𝐭𝐰𝐨 of the Snow White Trilogy and does end on a cliffhanger. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐌𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫! This series is a part of the Midnight Dynasty world. It is Elliot Morelli’s story.

"𝘈𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘐'𝘷𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩, 𝘐 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘯'𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘴𝘰 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘵'𝘴 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵."

Silk Malice picks up right where we got left at the end of Velvet Cruelty. The boys are still seeking their revenge against Mr. Parker… but when it comes to January’s safety, how will they have to alter their plans? Have their priorities shifted? They are all still back and forth about who ‘gets her virginity’ (which she does finally loose in this book and oh holy christ 🥵) but they also find themselves having deeper feelings they never expected… okay so just maybe they don’t want to kill her anymore 🙃

This book was just as action packet as book one. It completely draws your right back min to this world. We get to know the guys a bit more in this book and learn more about their past and why they are seeking revenge against Mr. Parker. January is still evolving into this strong woman and starting to grow more of a back bone. We’re seeing pieces of her start to emerge but she was still a bit naive and borderline too trusting. There was a lot of relationship building in this book. Less enemies and more lovers this time around 😉 I loved January’s relationship with each of the guys. They are all extremely possessive and deranged and half way psychotic but they all bring January something different. I think was saw the most change in Doc in this book, and he was probably my favorite time time around(… and maybe Daddy Morelli running a close second) We definitely got more emotions from everyone, even if they weren’t two happy to be feeling them. While the boys weren’t fond of sharing in January in the beginning, that seems to change as feelings grow as well. We are left on a bit of a cliffhanger at the end but I don’t feel like it was as bad as the cliffy from book one. I can’t wait to see how this all ends in Lace Vengeance!

Dangerfield's Snow White trilogy is so dark, so spicy, and so wrong but so right in every way.

Hot on the heels of that gasp-inducing cliffhanger from Velvet Cruelty, Silk Malice follows January Whitehall's gradual reintegration back into "normalcy" after being kidnapped by her slimy ex-fiancé and coming to terms with the traumatic death of her closest relative and only friend. Oh, and her dilemma over being forced to choose among the four dangerous suitors/captors whom previously held her hostage and whom she has unfortunately fallen in love with.

Girl, what is your life?

Dangerfield is a connoisseur at crafting D A R K taboo romances that are the perfect mix of scorching hot and tastefully wrong. Her books are a mind-fuck in the best way possible. It's almost guaranteed you'll finish the book with a new kink. Trust me.

The smut-to-story ratio is flipped in this installment - VC leaned more smut while SM leans slightly more towards story - but it works perfectly. The focus on January's development from a naive baby adult into a rebellious young woman with the newfound confidence to finally use swear words is much needed and sets this apart from similarly dark taboo books. Dangerfield books aren't just smut - there's an actual story with real character arcs that can hold its own with no problem.

I'd like to take a second to gush (metaphorically, but also... *raises eyebrow slowly*) over two of January's four suitors - bashful Bobby and devilish Doc. *content sigh* ...okay, second over. Where was I?

Silk Malice is an excellent follow-up to Velvet Cruelty and a great set-up for the final installment of the series! I cannot wait to see how this all ends.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

Once upon a time I was left with nothing. Betrayed by my stepmother and stolen by my ex-fiance. Now I'm battered but intact, just like my prized innocence. My heart tells me I don't want to belong to one man. I belong to four. But the criminals I love are proud. Too proud. Their brotherhood is in tatters. They fight for me. And they possess me, even as the enemies close in. Even as the foundation of our twisted family crumbles. Even as the dark legacy threatens to consume us all.

This is a dark reverse harem romance. You will want to heed the warnings in the beginning of the book. You have to have read the first book, Velvet Cruelty or you are going to be very lost. This book picks up where we left off and January is in a bad position. She is being taken yet again and this time Mr. Parker is doing the taking. I think this is where I needed to see her be strong and smart about trying to escape and she impressed me a little bit. She didn't sit and cry like she usually would but then I have to remember that shes her family's youngest child and just a throw off to Mr. Parker for money girl so she never really experienced a life outside of her family home. However she really hears about how dumb she is for Doc and I didn't want her to start to believe the things she said. Now that she has been taken because of going some place she never ever should have and her Zia is gone She is in a mess and that includes all of Velvet house are in a mess. A huge mess but the guys, Doc, Bobby, Eli and Adriano have huge decisions to make and the main focus is on keeping January safe and with them. Doc is straight up losing his mind. Adriano is recovering and Bobby is his usual sweet self that I just loved and Eli is trying to keep Velvet House in one piece and January safe. There is a lot that goes on in this book and it is a little darker than the first book. You just have to read to see what happens. I can ot wait to have the next book in my hot little hands.

🚨If you have not read book one, Velvet Cruelty, do NOT read the review below🚨

January was finally finding her footing with the men of Velvet House until her ex-fiancé kidnapped her. They're able to rescue January with the help of some unexpected people and begin to broker a peace treaty with her ex-fiancé. Once she's back at Velvet House, Doc, Elliot, Adriano, and Bobby make it known they all want January and they have no problem sharing her.

This was a good addition to the series that showed more of the workings of the criminal underworld and brought the spice. The men are completely enthralled with January and are thinking about her non-stop. I liked that January had her alone time with each of her men and they were able to connect. I will always love group scenes in why choose romances and this book was no exception. The group scene took place over several chapters and it was hot, especially with the surprise daddy kink. I was a bit jealous of January during that scene 👀 If the epilogue wasn't included, you would think this story was wrapped up (there's another book coming). I think the ending needed to be a bit different or have more buy in for the final book.

I enjoyed Eve's writing in book one and it was a large reason I was hooked on this story. The writing felt different in this book. January was written very immature, which she is to a degree from being sheltered, but it was even more so in this book. The overuse of exclamation points largely contributed to Janaury coming across very immature.

Thank you to Eve and Valentine PR for the early copy in exchange for an honest review!

Thanks so much for the ARC! Omg, I got so excited to read the continuation of Velvet Cruelty, and it's about damn time January got the freaking courage to get some guts and, you know, do something about TAKE CONTROL for ONCE!!! There is definitely progress.

The story got spicier and spicier. You'll sweat and just pant for dear life. Lordt save me. January isn't the meek girl from the last book. The Epilogue left me in confusion, but that may be just me. AHHH. I just want them to be HAPPY, dammit!

I honestly found this book entertaining. I laughed so much, and in a good way. I totally understand that January was sheltered, and everything in her life was controlled for most of her life (that was pointed out in book 1 btw), from her food intake to, well, EVERYTHING, but damn, the things she said in this book make me laugh even though this book really had dark themes and all.

I did get subtle hints of Snow White inspiration, like the Hunter and the nicknames, of course, but damn. What you just sent me was Bobby. IYKYK and Daddy. This isn't your typical fairy tale retelling of snow white. It's more about not being guilty of liking what you like. Periodt.

I have been anxiously awaiting Silk Malice, Book #2 of the Snow White series, from Eve Dangerfield since she left us hanging with that cliffie in Book #1. This second book does NOT disappoint! It takes off from the beginning with non-stop action that keeps you turning the pages and at times, gasping for breath.

I feel much more invested with this story now that I've got a pretty good handle on everything that's happening. I'm fascinated by the four anti-heroes and all their nuances and personality traits. The reasonings behind their "issues" are interesting, heartbreaking at times, and helped to keep me invested in each one as I read. I'm partial to Eli, but honestly, all four of them have their own way of drawing you in and making you want more of their bad-boy ways. I love the fact that January was a bit more "fierce" in this second book. Not sure where that came from, but she's definitely found her voice at times and she uses it! I think all the conflict happening in this story is really fascinating and oh-so-twisted. At times it's crazy, then super-steamy, then downright delicious!

Yes, this is another not-for-the-faint-of-heart book, but the story demands that. It wouldn't work otherwise. I, for one, can't wait to read what happens next. If you enjoy something a bit on the dark, twisted side, grab it and enjoy!

This 𝐧𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐲 and 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐭 installment in this trilogy is a mix of 𝐤!𝐧𝐤, the characters growing a bond, opening up to 𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 slowly and a bit of suspense.
I liked getting to know the four 𝐬𝐞𝐱𝐲, slightly 𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐝 men a bit more in this second book.
Their personalities were more clear in this book. I really 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 these 𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡, 𝐤!𝐧𝐤𝐲 men a lot.
January was 𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫, 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 and 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐬 for a virgin. It’s endearing at times and it also was a bit too unrealistic and easy for my taste.
It’s definitely spicy, sexy and gritty which I love.
It’s a mixed bag for me. I enjoyed the story overall, but found some things a bit too excessive and dare I say… sweet?
It ends on a happy note….almost! It’s actually a foreboding cliffhanger with scary, dangerous things to come for the fivesome.
I like the authors style, use of words and character development.
I look forward to the last book in this gritty, super HOT trilogy.

Let me start off by saying this series is not for the faint hearted. This is not a sunshine and rainbow fairytale retelling, this is a spicy, dark story and you definitely need to read these books in order, so if you haven’t read Velvet Cruelty, go do that first then come back!

Eve Dangerfield continues to surprise me with this series. In book one we get introduced to all the main characters and have a hard time deciding if we should like them or not. Similar to the decision that January needs to make for herself. Silk Malice picks up right where VC left us wanting more, and this book really delivered.

This book is spicy, and if you are looking for fade to black then keep on walking, because this is steamy, it’s visual and it may just melt your kindle a bit. This why choose scenario only works if written correctly and I definitely think Eve has it on lock.

This book I going to give you conclusions, or so you think, it’s going to give you a HEA, sort of, but remember this is book 2 of 3, there is still more story to come, so be ready, and get excited, I can’t wait to see what Eve has in store for us in the next book!

I fell in love with book one and had to know what happened next so I was thrilled when I received an arc of book two.
Silk Malice delivers on everything a second installment should. We get character growth (for all four MCs), relationship development, plot progression and most importantly spice level elevation.
I think the characters were more likeable this time around and I'm interested to see where January's relationship with all her men end up. January is less doe eyed in Silk Malice and I think that will help readers like her more than they did in book one. Each male MC gets more time and I feel like we got to know each of them more.
Dangerfield said bring me the spice rack with Silk Malice! She really turned up the heat here and it was well worth the wait!
Can't wait to see what's probably going to be a fantastically crazy finale.

This addition to the trilogy definitely got darker so be sure to check any CW/TW.

Okay, here we go! Now we are getting somewhere! From the first book, I really didn’t like January. The head in the air/naive thing really wasn’t working for me. But I am more impressed with January by the end of this book. She’s less of that and more of her own person which is the character growth she needed. The dynamic between the five of them is fire. And if this is only book two, I can’t imagine what book three will bring us this department. We also got to look deeper into the men in this harem which I did love getting to see them in more setting than just angry mobsters. Can we also get a glimpse of this group chat…..? Did a lot of action happen in this book? Not really but I’m okay with this because January really needed this time to grow as a person and this also gave them time to work on the dynamic of the harem. I am interested to see where book three goes as we don’t end on a cliffhanger per se but clearly set them up for danger.

Think of this book as the calm before the storm. It's very sexy and way HOT. It shows you that is a miracle that January grew to be so pure of heart considering her family. Plus you get more of a softer side from the guys. Obviously, only because January has them wrapped around her finger without even trying. But it's great! It's amusing how she causes these men to act irrationally because they don't know how to handle their feelings for her. Or how to act on them. At the begging I was feeling disappointed that she was still naive and a bit of a push over but I was pleasantly surprised to see her grow a backbone and learn her value. Learn how to manage a house full of very moody distinctive men. And now that she can read them and manage them, now it's fun and empowering to root for her. Unknown danger is coming and I can't help but wonder how they'll solve this once and for all.
