Death & Dragons

Rate this book
A bargain with the enemy.
A spell aided by Death.
And a need to protect all she loves at any price.

Sara Lochton broke the curse and released her magic to become High Witch of Ware Woods. But she is new to the magical world, and her inexperience puts the forest and everyone she loves—including her bonded mate, Thomas—at risk.

When tragedy strikes and her sworn enemy, Samson, warns of a formidable evil intent on destroying their entire magical region, Sara recklessly agrees to a blood bargain with him. But the pact is a tenuous truce for Sara. Determined to best Samson and defeat the evil, she conjures aid from powerful yet questionable allies—an arrogant vampire, an imposing wolf shifter, and an evasive witch.

As darkness and dragons descend upon Ware Woods, Sara must decide who she can trust and how far she will go to save those she loves. And face the fatal consequences.

Death & Dragons is the second book in the Witch of Ware Woods trilogy, an upper YA contemporary paranormal series with a strong female main character, a diverse cast of family and found family, unique magic, a touch of romance, and a world so fresh you can smell the pine trees.

Expect witches, a one-of-a-kind vampire, shifters, dragons, a pinch of death, a sentient treehouse, a persnickety grimoire, and plenty of twists and turns in this spellbinding sequel as Sara keeps her friends close and her enemies even closer.

Sonja F. Blanco grew up in New England where she ran barefoot through the woods, chased lightning bugs, tapped maple trees for syrup, and built towering snow castles.

Having an ancestor who was hung as a witch, Sonja is naturally drawn to all things magical and fantastical—trees and cemeteries in particular.

At 5’2” she is often caught climbing tables, chairs, and small children to reach the upper shelves. She likes coffee and tea equally, both of which most certainly contributed to her diminutive stature.

Witty comics easily amuse her, as do heavily jowled Hell Hounds that talk in their sleep.
She writes fantasy as if it were real, because believing makes it so.

The second book in this series is action-packed and can come as a shock after the first one which focused on a much smaller problem and group of people. The sequel introduces many more characters and magical types, with my absolute favorite being Lethal, a non binary character who has the perfect amount of morally grey.

The author has a way of writing side characters who are incredibly lovable and this book is no different.

It’s hard to talk around the plot without spoilers, so I won’t! If you enjoyed book 1, you’ll enjoy book 2. Go on, then.

I loved this read. It’s brilliantly plotted, small hints help you remember if it’s been a while since reading book 1, but you’ll definitely want to read book 1 because it’s sooo good. The little hints toward the twists were so well done I didn’t see them coming but built up the intensity so well. And what more can I say with Dragons, witches, vampires, shifters and magic all in one book! Yes— a read you won’t want to put down!

Death and Dragons is the wonderful and exciting sequel to Witch of Ware Woods. It absolutely lived up to all of my expectations and was such a fun read. I truly cannot wait for book 3 because I want to know what is next for our heroine and High Witch Sara, her bonded mate Thomas, and their entire mix-match found family crew of magicals!

In this novel, the main character Sara is busy and often overwhelmed with her role as High Witch of Ware Woods. With dark forces threatening the magical forest, Sara is willing to go to great lengths to save everyone she loves. I was rooting for her the entire way!!

I had a blast reading this story and really enjoyed all of the new characters who were introduced, one in particular being Lethal (and their sword, Kindness, of course). My only complaint is that we didn't get much Thomas in this book. I know, I know, my boy needed to get his education...but I totally felt Sara's pain when he was away!!

There are plenty of plot points left unresolved and questions for the future, so I am super excited to see how it all plays out. I am eagerly waiting for the next book! I highly recommend this series!

I was kindly given an ARC from the author, but these opinions are my own. I plan on purchasing my own copy because I loved it so much.

I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again (and again, and again!) Sara and Thomas are #OTPgoals. I absolutely love them so much!! But this story is so much more than a paranormal romance.

The plot continues Sara’s hero’s journey as she embraces her role as High Witch. This is a character who’s easy to cheer for, and I found her insecurities and self-doubt to be very relatable. It’s full of twist after twist, and kept me up well after my bedtime on more than one occasion. I loved the ending!

As those who’ve read Book 1 already know, the author does a tremendous job at world building. Ware Woods is easy to visualize, and I totally want to hang out in the treehouse. But the amazing descriptions don’t stop there. You may have guessed from the title but, there are dragons in this book!! Several types, actually, each vividly depicted.

Now, for the side characters. There are many (but, rest assured, not too many that the reader loses track). All are memorable and well-fleshed out, but I found Lethal most intriguing. I also loved seeing Sara’s friendship with Moira blossom.

Thank you to the author for a copy of this ARC. These opinions are my own and are being expressed without bias.

I was provided a free e-copy in exchange for a review but I did end up buying a physical copy with my own money so I never know if the disclaimer is still necessary 🤷🏽‍♀️. Anyways, It’s always hard to write a review for the second in a series because of spoilers but I’ll try. First, I have to say I think book 1 still holds the top spot so we’ll have to see what happens in book 3. I love Sonja’s writing style it’s simple yet skillful. We get to spend time with Sara and the gang along with a few new faces. I will say for a book called Death and Dragons, there was paltry little of both lol. I’m also a little confused about Samson’s character arc but I’ll keep an open mind in book 3. Overall if you liked book 1 absolutely dive into the sequel

Sara handled the dark witch Makwa, found her family, is bonded to the handsome warrior Thomas, and is now High Witch of Ware Woods. But when a new and even bigger challenge arises, Sara must deal with feelings of inadequacy, dark witches that she is forced to trust as well as more magical beings that will hopefully aid in her fight against what threatens the whole world!

A great sequel to Witch of Ware Woods, Sonja has once again weaves a tale of love, grief, hope and magic beyond what we see!

Death and Dragons by Sonja F. Blanco Was hands down a fantastic book. The cover is gorgeous with satiny blood-red curls and a golden-rooted tree. Which fits in so perfectly with the story. The storyline is lengthy (in a good way) and extremely detailed. It continues the story from Book one. I, myself, did not read book one but was still able to keep up just fine. I will be going and purchasing book one now. The story itself follows the main character Sara, The High Witch. All the twists and turns she encounters, while trying to solve one major problem, but other smaller ones keep coming. There was a twist with Samson I had never seen coming. Tons of action and mystery. The plot left an opening to continue the story (Yay! It doesn’t end yet!). The characters themselves were very well developed. Leaving no questions unanswered and no confusion. She definitely covered all the bases, with witches, shifters, dragons, and a non-binary vampire. Lethal the Non-binary Vampire did throw me off a bit with the “Theirs” and “they”, but you get used to it and he easily became one of my favorites the more the story went on. All of them had deep complex histories and personalities of their own. The world which the author created was extensive, rich, and ever-expanding. Just when you think you’ve seen all the edges of this world, it expands even more. Even the character lineup kept expanding. The story has even got a little romance entwined. Fated mates between Sara and her, blue electric hot, Thomas. Although Thomas time in the story was brief due to him going away to finish his degree; he definitely makes up for it with his return towards the end.

I enjoyed so many things about this book. My favorite parts are a vampire with a habit of killing wicked people that you want to fear. A witch that pops into different locations unexpectedly and can't seem to control how it happens. And an animated grimoire that's selectively helpful. The author loaded this YA novel with originality. Dragons are integrated in a way I've never seen before. The steam level is a one but palpable. The adventure is ever present. The magic is developing as new magically inclined people join the eclectic group in Ware Woods. And the story ends with a line that had me saying, "Yes! I can't wait."-I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Death & Dragons is an utterly transportive fantasy and a delight to read! It was just as much fun as the first book in the Witch of Ware Woods trilogy. One of my favorite things about this series is that it reminds me of childhood magic while still satisfying the adult inside me. There is plenty of spice, romance, banter, humor, and adventure, and did I mention dragons?! It has all the things that make for an enjoyable read when you want to curl up with a book and escape the world. Sara and Thomas are one of my favorite fantasy couples. I’m always rooting for them. Blanco shines with her earthy prose, constantly reminding us of our connection with nature. If you love witchy vibes, strong characters, magic, and adventure, you should check it out!

This book is PHENOMENAL!! There were so many moments I was at the edge of my seat, holding my breath, and waiting to see what these characters would do. Not what would happen to them..but what they would do, because they all feel so genuinely fierce and alive. Sara and her fiery attitude, the way she never backs down from a challenge, makes my heart sing. And moody, broody Thomas is delicious. And add Lethal (vampire) and Kindness (their sword) into that mix and you’ve got a story that’s completely hooked me. Not to mention, Samson is quite intriguing in this one. Plus…the ending is AMAZING!!! I highly recommend this book!

So much action in this book! Dragons, vampires, a magic Grimoire, a Shadow mother. Sarah makes a deal with darkness in order to protect the ones she loves.

I love the relationship between Sarah and Thomas. Dragons are really amazing but vampires are definitely my favorite!

Job well done and I can't wait to read what happens next!

The story picked up right after the first book and I devoured this more than the first book!

All the new characters and magical beings are a good addition. Sara and her found family’s character arcs are wonderfully written.

The twists in the plot had me surprised and the ending has me wanting for more and it is a good thing I was chosen to read the next book as part of ARC because I will literally start reading it as soon as I finish this post!

Sara Lochton has become High Witch of Ware Woods, although she feels very incapable and that she has loads to learn. Her bonded mate is Thomas and they both have feelings for each other that run deep. Ware Woods is made up of various magical families that all have different properties but have managed to learn to live together and Sara is now their High Witch so is in charge of them. She loves them to bits and will do anything for them and will defend them as best as she can, even learning new magical skills to protect them.
Sara, Thomas, Violet, Caleb, Ian, Lily, Moira and Matthew go on a little break to a beach campsite away from Ware Woods where they are not allowed to use any magic. On their first night at the beach, they go on the boardwalk that night and end up splitting up. They had a good night till towards the end, Moira and Violet got drugged by some dudes. The girls would never know not to take a drink from someone you don’t know as they hardly leave the woods. They managed to get the girls outside where they were sick and the others helped them back to the campsite.
Sara can’t sleep and Moira keeps rolling into her so she gets up for an early morning walk before breakfast with the others. Sara decides to take Bailey, the dog, with her for a run along the shoreline. Sara felt a prickle on the back of her neck, Bailey ran to her side with a whine, and there was a crackle of magic in the air. A rogue wave hit her as Sara turned to find the source. As she fell back, a sizzling sphere of black energy skimmed her shoulder. Then, there were three large takers running toward her with dark energy in their palms. The takers hurled more sizzling dark voids of power towards her while she constructed a protective shield for her and Bailey. A large dragon erupted from the sea. The dragon breathed fire at the takers and took them out, their yells cut short. Fire continued down the shoreline towards Sara so she put more strength into continuing her shield around her. The dragon snorted a puff of smoke at her shield which disappeared in an instance. She touched the bloodstone at her neck and spoke to her ancient ancestor asking for help and white energy covered her skin and stretched towards the dragon. It puffed more smoke which smelt of rain. Unfortunately, there was quite a crowd growing and using their phones to record what they were seeing, so the dragon decided it was time to go. She returned to camp and decided she wouldn’t share this little adventure with the others otherwise the holiday would be over.
Later that afternoon, there is an incident at the volleyball courts where Sara and Lily see another couple of magicals, one is a dark aura male. Then it comes to Sara that it’s Brad who she has had a run in with before. A fight breaks out between Thomas and Brad, someone thumps Sara in the jaw and she heals herself. Violet shouted, ‘Stop. You’ll summon a dragon and we’ll all die.’ Sara decides the vacation is over and they need to get back to Ware Woods. They will be safer there.
What did Brad mean when he said, ‘It’s done.’ Is there more trouble brewing? What was with the black aura around him? Has something happened back at Ware Woods?
I really enjoyed this contemporary paranormal book. To read something light made a change for me and I got to enjoy the characters. I liked Sara a lot, she took her responsibilities seriously about being High Witch and was willing to learn more skills and magic to protect Ware Woods. It was well written and kept me interested so I read the book quickly. There is a lot going on.

First- a preface: I was a beta reader for this book- I read it in its early stages and I did provide some advice and suggestions for improvement. However, the author can verify that I am still very willing to criticize the book haha.

Some general thoughts: It's clear that Sonja Blanco's writing has improved in the time since her debut and the first book in the series, Witch of Ware Woods. The characters are more fleshed out, the world is fun and immersive, and it feels like stakes are building as protagonist Sara comes into herself as a leader of her community.

In my opinion, by far the strongest part of the story as a whole is the setting. Who doesn't love magical creatures and sentient spell-books? When reading, I could easily visualize the places where Sara and her friends travelled. I'm a sucker for any kind of New England inspired setting. Plus, there's no shortage of fun seasonal festivals and creative magical traditions that were wholly engrossing and transportive to read. (Bonus point for how good all of the food sounds).

Moreover, the plot and pacing are notably improved from Book 1 (still an enjoyable read!) with a faster start. There's some really fun action scenes and spellcasting, described in entertaining detail. Sometimes I can have a hard time visualizing where characters are in relation to each other in big action scenes, but the way they are written in this book makes such scenes easy to follow without feeling slow.

Nonetheless, this is not a five-star review because I did have some problems with two things related to character- I'm not the biggest fan of Sara's love interest, Thomas; and the naming of some side characters. On the first matter, my own personal bias against the ever-popular 'bad boy' in YA lit may be showing, but I'm personally a bit tired of every love interest having to be so edgy and brooding. However, this is a popular trope for a reason, so many readers will doubtlessly not have a problem with it. On the latter matter, there are three minor characters who are named Moesha, Alesha and Iesha who are Black- though I am not, the names chosen still bother me, and I communicated to the author that they could be seen as offensively stereotypical.

Writing a second book in a trilogy is challenging! However, Sonja Blanco's writing chops are improving, and I can't wait to see where both her skills and her characters will be for book 3. Fans of the first book will be more than satisfied with the entertaining cast of characters- and (no spoilers)- significant plot advances.

This is book 2 in the Witch of Ware Woods Series. I suggest reading in order as there is one continuing storyline throughout the series. You won't want to miss out on all of the goodness within this series. It is amazing.

This story begins where book one left off. We find Sara grappling with all of her responsibilities after the end of book 1. Not only does she have to figure out her newfound magic but she is also trying to figure out her relationship with Thomas and her new role with the coven. Sara places so much responsibility on her shoulders. She must learn to navigate not only her new found role but also how to be part of a very large family and make sure that everyone remains safe from all the dark magic in the world.

This was such a wonderful read. I sat down and fell right back into the story and into Ware Woods. I love the family that the author has built within this world of witches, vampires, dragons and dark magic. Thomas and Sara are a wonderful couple and I found myself rooting for them the entire book. I was so afraid of what was going to happen after every chapter. The action and twists that were within this story were absolutely amazing. I loved the introduction of all the new characters....Especially Lethal...He was my absolute favorite. His stoic behavior was perfect for him and I loved his subtle sense of humor. Sara really grew up in this book and so did everyone else. When I say there were surprises, I truly meant it. I loved how the book ended and I am really looking forward to book 3. Sometimes middle books can get a little boring or repetitive. Let me assure you, this was not a factor in this book. I loved it wholeheartedly and can't wait to see where Sonja takes us in book 3! this story gets 5 magical stars.

Death & Dragons by Sonja F. Blanco

🌟🌟🌟🌟 1/2

GENRE: YA Urban Fantasy
TROPES: Chosen one, Magic realism, the evil one, the mentor.
PROS:
🌳the addition of new magical creatures and/or things. LOVES it.
🌳I ship Sara and Thomas SO HARD.
🌳The characters were richer and their relationships so authentic.
🌳The magic training was fun.
🌳We learn more about the magic in the world.

CONS:
🐲Sara is so full of doubt in herself. Get it together girl.
🐲Needed more tree information.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this book. I read book 1 and it was great, but there were a few characters and things that I did not like. But this one is fabulous.

It takes place right after book one but the characters have grown so much. The relationships are richer, more authentic and so much deeper. I can feel the bonds and connections between them when I read. I think the fact that we know the characters and they know each other more this time made the story more fun since the adventure could go faster.

I love the addition of dragons, and other magical creatures. I will say no more on that. The story was full of adventure and the pacing was spot on for a story structure, since I could call what part we were at when something big happened.

The not as fun. There were a few things at the beginning that I wasn’t thrilled about, when they go off on a camping trip, and our MC Sara and her guy are keeping things from each other, which I don’t want them to do, but that is normal in a new relationship to a point, but I expect more of them because I love them as a couple.

The new characters are awesome. The old characters are a blast. I can’t wait for book 3 to see where it goes.

Death & Dragons
Witch of Ware Woods Book 2
Sonja F. Blanco
362 pages

Short Synopsis

In Death & Dragons, as High Witch, Sarah works tirelessly to protect Ware Woods and those living there from evil. She decides to get help from some unlikely sources to do this. These sources join Ware Woods and its people to protect it. Will that prove helpful or harmful? You shall see!

My Thoughts

Sonja has done it again! Death & Dragons is as good, if not better than Witch of Ware Woods. Sarah’s life as High Witch continues as she finagles her way through life in Ware Woods.

Sarah is my favorite character by far. She is so real: admitting to mistakes, worrying about her choices, feeling she isn’t living up to what is expected as High Witch, trying to care for Ware Woods and everyone in it, and doing scary things to help and protect others. I could go on and on. She has unique talents in the magical world, yet she is down to earth and loves those around her. Sarah is pretty kick-ass too!

There are many other characters to love and hate, although there is definitely more to love. Sarah’s grandma is another favorite of mine. Ware Woods is such a majestic place. I would love to visit, especially the magical tree that Sarah lives in. What a hoot! It has all its natural characteristics but also evolves and changes as needed. Sonja has the best imagination.

As you can tell, I absolutely love Death & Dragons! It has everything you want in a book: varied and interesting characters, magic, dragons, witches, wolves, family connections, love, and evil. The plot is ever-evolving and grabs your interest from beginning to end. It ends with a cliffhanger, and I look forward to the next book in the Ware Woods series.

Returning to Ware Woods is like coming home. The scenery sweeps you in to an enchanted forest filled with characters you want to be friends with and treehouses you'd love to live in. In Death & Dragons, Sara's journey takes an introspective turn as she strives to earn the title of High Witch of Ware Woods, despite all the dangers pressing in on her and her loved ones. With new friends and dangerous foes, this story abounds with magic, adventure, mystery, and a healthy dose of romance!

I really enjoyed the character dynamics and the new additions to the cast! New shifters and surprising allies filled this story with unexpected but delightful characters. Lethal became a fast favorite and my curiosity about him is all encompassing! Who doesn't love a centuries old vampire with a sword named Kindness? The twists and turns were surprising, and the pay off for readers was well earned in a final transformative battle that quite literally shakes the forest to its roots.

Sara's self-discovery drives this novel for me because she is consistently being told to TRUST, something that doesn't come easily to our MC. Learning not only to trust in her abilities, but to trust those around her was a paramount lesson that I believe will reward her in her ongoing battle against dark magic.

Without giving away too many spoilers, Death & Dragons had me laughing, gasping, crying, and cheering as I read through the night to finish this story. That ENDING. I am so excited to see what's next for Sara and Ware Woods!

*maybe a few spoilers? Like it’s vague, but I guess spoiler-ish, so read at your own risk*

Ok let’s start off by saying I love the new characters. LOVE. Legend is my favorite person in all of Ware Woods. There is a lot that happens throughout this book- chaos is kind of everywhere- which I also love.

The story itself is great- lots of magic and people and a pretty solid plot. My problem? Reason for the three stars?

Sara. Ugh. I feel so, so horrible saying this, but I just don’t like her. I know! I know! I’m sorry! She irked me in the first book, but is truly killing me slowly in this one. I get it, she has had a lot thrown at her in a short amount of time- but Geesh. Her temper and her attitude just kind of kills me. Like she kind of thinks her shit doesn’t stink, but clearly it does. Like she acts like she is this complete badass (which like she kind of is….) but she isn’t. Like at all. She has so much to learn and she is so arrogant thinking she can just beat everyone. She keeps things from her family, also from her supposed bonded mate (like again, what. Why. If you are bonded, trust should be as easy as breathing). I don’t know. Totally bothers me.

The whole “I’m high witch and I wait for no one” What. Yes you do. You have literally had to wait for everyone. Like everyone. To help you. To teach you. To guide you. You can’t beat anyone without growing more as a witch and you 100% need the help of others, so that last line left such a sour taste in my stomach. Like uck. Just no, Sara. No.

Anyway. Four stars for the story. Two for Sara. So three it is.

As Sara Lochton struggles to fill her role as High Witch, a new enemy threatens the sanctity of Ware Woods and all the ones she loves most. In way over her head, she seeks aid from external sources, and is forced to join sides with her sworn enemy to defeat this new foe.

This is the second book in the Witch of Ware Woods series, and it continues to build on the beautiful world the author created in the first book. Deliciously vivid descriptions help transport you to the enchanted forest of Ware Woods where the trees are alive and the characters and family dynamic are magical. New characters are introduced with extreme powers… some become allies and others are determined to take down Ware Woods and all those who reside within. One of my favourite characters from the series is introduced… Lethal, a ruthless vampire cold as ice, but with a surprising caring side. And did I mention there are dragons? It all comes together, delivered in an intense, action-packed, heartwarming storyline that will have you clamouring to get your hands on book 3!

I recommend this book to people who enjoy reading books with witchy vibes, soul mates, magical realism, mythical creatures, and engaging writing.

In Death and Dragons, Sara and the members of her forest family must face a new threat to their community. Sonja introduces us to a cast of new and interesting characters in this one thereby expanding the world of Ware Woods. The pacing of D&D is a lot faster than Ware Woods and at times it felt like poor Sara was being pummeled on all sides, especially as a consequences of a particular choice she made at the beginning of the book. In D&D, Sonja also did not neglect the romance aspect of the story. In fact, she amped things up a bit and by the end of the book the stakes are pretty high for several couples. Another moment I enjoyed, was the appearance of a magical item from the prequel. Finally, the ending left me with a ton of questions so I’m excited for the next book.

I would recommend Death and Dragons for fans of fantasy romance or just those who love a good forest adventure.

I received an advance copy in exchange for an honest review by Love Books Tours.

This is the second book of the Witch of Ware Woods trilogy, a young adult paranormal series. I've really enjoyed reading this series. The Book is definitely action packed with many new twist and turns and a bit different from the first book and you get introduced to a lot of new characters. We also get to see how Sara handles the responsibility of High Witch of Ware Woods and how fierce she is in protecting everyone she loves.
This is a series that you need to read the books in order, they cannot be read as a standalone. The story does have some unresolved plots that I can't wait to read on the next book.
If you're a fan of ya paranormal fantasy this is the series for you!

As a follow up to my review on Witch of Warewoods, I still want to live in the Ware Woods. Minus all of the scary things that happen.

Death & Dragons was an amazing sequel to Witch of Ware Woods. I loved Sara’s found family and the cast of characters introduced in the sequel. The author’s characterization is exquisite.

But don’t let found family aspect fool you. This is a heartwarming story with equally high stakes. There is plenty of action and adventure throughout.

I still believe that the author shows the skill and technique of a seasoned author. I can’t wait to see her career continue to flourish.

This is the second in a YA fantasy series. I hadn't read the first one, and as such, I found it a little difficult to get into the swing of this because there is an abundance of characters. Once I got to know who they were, I started flying through the book. So this can be read as a standalone, but I think reading book 1 first would definitely aid your understanding.
Although there are many, the characters are fantastic, so well written, and so many stories to be explored.
The setting is unique, and the author brings it to life really well.
There is action, tension, romance, intrigue, and sharp wit aplenty.
I can't wait for the next instalment.

“Death & Dragons” is the second book in Sonja F. Blanco’s Witch of Ware Woods trilogy, and I have to say that it was an intense and exhilarating read from start to finish!

So much happens in this book, and despite my best guesses, Blanco still managed to keep me on my toes with her shocking plot twists! I also loved how action-packed this book was as well.

This is the continuation of Sara Lochton’s story. Sara is only 18 years old, and she’s under a lot of pressure when it comes to her newfound duties as High Witch of Ware Woods.

Sara sometimes makes snap decisions, but I think that considering her age and the fact that everything about Ware Woods is still new to her, she’s actually doing pretty well.

While I personally didn’t always agree with Sara’s choices, it didn’t take away from my reading experience. I really enjoyed this book, and I will be starting the final book in the trilogy ASAP so I can see how it all ends!

I really enjoyed Death & Dragons, the second installment of Witch of Ware Woods. It was fast paced with a lot of action. There are so many wonderful characters in this story, and Sonja introduces a few more, which I really enjoyed. Her world building is excellent with Ware Woods and the Soul Trees, and the magic system is unique and interesting. This book does end on a cliff-hanger, and I'm excited to see where Sonja takes us. It is YA Fantasy with closed door romance, told in single POV.

Thank you, Sonja for this ARC.

Book two of the Witch of Ware Woods series did not disappoint!! I was anxiously awaiting this book and savored it all the way to the end. It's magical, it's emotional, it's full of love and surprises, dragons and of course some deaths. Go with Sara on her journey through discovering her confidence as a High Witch and how she navigates her newest problem. I love her and the bonds she has with her friends and her family. Love the bond she has with Thomas as well. (I'm a hopeless romantic of course) I also enjoyed the new characters that were introduced!!

You won't want to miss this!!!
