Arc review Review: I received this book as an arc and I loved it loved the characters the story I can't wait to go back and read the previous of this series . This is about Landry and Saint. Landry and Saint had a one night stand at Christmas eve and they hadn't seen each other since well until Saint bought the place where Landry is working and Landry was planning on buying it . Landry and Saint get cozy up again and they plan on having a no strings thing but Saint doesn't want that he wants her . Landry has some trust issues due to her family. People have been vandalizing the restaurant and they haven't been caught on camera . I love Landry and Saint relationship they are good for each other Saint bought her parents restaurant and Landry was upset but they talked it out and they want to be together officially. Then Landry gets assaulted. Apparently Saint former manager hired someone to vandalize the place and Landry got hurt she's fine now and then she gets the prom she never got .

Fighting Light, the fourth book in the Moon Harbor series, follows Landry, a lifelong resident of Moon Harbor, and Saint, an MMA fighter that has made his way to the small town in search of something. Landry has always been independent and strong and Saint has his own struggles and challenges, but when the two come together, it is electric!
I adored this book, and I officially have a new book boyfriend. Saint is the best! Seemingly tough and untouchable, he is complex and intriguing and I really enjoyed getting to know him throughout the story, seeing him evolve and learning more about who he is and what he needs. Landry is so relatable, and I love her fiery ambition and fierce love for those close to her. She is hardworking and kind, and doesn’t always know how to let others in. The characters in this novel are complex, flawed, real and so much fun. I can’t help but get attached to them, and each time I pick up a Moon Harbor novel, it is like being transported to one of my favourite places to spend time with friends, old and new.
The pacing is excellent, and I really enjoyed the mystery. It was impossible to put the book down! And the love scenes - spicy, sexy and pure perfection. The secondary characters are well developed and add so much to the story - I find myself wanting to know more about each of them. I also appreciate the way characters from the previous novels are woven in in an organic and natural way, allowing us to see a bit of what they have gotten up to, and giving a sense of really being in Moon Harbor as we read the novel.
I highly recommend this book, and series, to anyone who loves romance, strong and emotionally intelligent characters, small towns and spice!
Thank you to the author for the Advanced Reader Copy.
Thank you Kate for letting me ARC read this amazing book. This is MMA romance, small town with smut. Which made this book so good. I love Saint he is so alpha man want to take care of my girl. He also may be an MMA fighter but his such a big softy with Landry. Laundry has been through some crap that just breaks your heart but you can see Saint just want to help her. Of course Laundry wants to run but its like come on girl you totally deserve Saint. Omg the spice this is not your normal small town romance. I just have to say I love the spice and how this book was just not what I expected from this type of book. Kate did an amazing job writing this book and then ending was so sweet I really enjoyed this book.

I enjoyed this book! I'll confess that I wasn't overly eager for Landry's book, but I was curious enough about her backstory to want to read it plus I've enjoyed the other books so far so why not?lol I was beyond thrilled to get the ARC for this book and Saint was everything I could want in a book boyfriend, so possessive and a little sassy. I loved the Landry was a believable match for him. She matched his energy, she didn't change who she was, and I love that was always honest with him about her feelings. The betrayals in this book were rough but I wish the one at the end had been expanded on a bit more. Kate loves a dash of mystery in her books and I think she did a better job of blending the mystery in with the romance of this book. The mystery is there but is definitely the subplot. The romance is the star of the show and those love scenes?! Whew! Saint did not hold back! Also, we love a generous lover. 😉 Great edition to the series and I love that a few of the characters from the previous books make an appearance in this book. I feel like the books in this series could be considered standalones, some characters appear from other books but they're not integral and you won't feel like you're lost if you start with this one and then backtrack. My favorite is still book 2 but this one was definitely fighting for that top spot. Four stars!
Fighting Light is Book 4 in the Moon Harbor Series but can be read as a stand-a-lone.
This was my first Kate McWilliams book and I'm addicted! Landry's day starts and she knows it's going to be a bad day, what she wasn't expecting was her one night stand from months ago to become her new boss. Saint is an MMA fighter who is thinking that it's time for a change, so he buys a restaurant in the small town that he visited over Christmas. With hopes that he can rekindle a spark with Landry.
Saint is my new book boyfriend I'm obsessed with his hot alpha vibes.
I need to go binge the first 3 books of the series now.
I love the Moon Harbor series! I love all of these characters, their relationships, how their lives, while being so different, still seem to intertwine with each other so seamlessly. It makes them relatable, so much like relationships we have in real life. Fighting Light focuses on Landry, whom has been mentioned in previous Moon Harbor books, as well as newcomer Saint Adams. Their story begins with Landry believing she had experienced her first one-night stand with a stranger, but the reader quickly realizes that isn't the end of their time together more than it is just the beginning. The mystery that plagues our main characters did not come off to me as sinister or even as prevalent as in previous Moon Harbor stories, but rather the spice of it all took main stage in this story. Also, while it turned out that I was correct in my first guess as to who was behind the attacks that were occurring, I couldn't figure out what the motive might be. When it was revealed towards the end of the book, everything made sense and became clear. Speaking of the spice level of Fighting Light, can I just say yes please! Landry and Saint's chemistry was off the charts steamy. This book may not be for you if you are uncomfortable with topics of sex in public places, or anal sex. There is nothing un-consensual between the characters, and I really liked how their relationship changed and grew as the story unfolded. The surprise at the last chapter had me in all my feels. All in all, this was a great book I didn't want to put down. Looking forward to the next installment, and where Kate takes us next time in Moon Harbor!
Fighting Light is Book 4 in the Moon Harbor Series but can be read as a stand-a-lone. I have enjoyed all the books in this series but Saint and Landry may be my new favorite couple.
Landry is working hard to stand on her own and prove herself. Her dream is to own the Anchorage where she has been working and she is almost ready to make that dream come true. Those dreams are crushed when her boss goes back on his deal and sells the restaurant to someone else. It gets even worse for Landry when she finds out the new owner and her boss is none other than the man she recently had a one night stand with, Saint.
Saint, a MMA fighter is looking for something different, more from life. Buying the Anchorage and settling down in a small town seems like the perfect place for him to make the changes he wants. What he didn’t expect was to find Landry, the incredible woman he feels in instant connection to.
Landry and Saint are perfect together! Landry is vulnerable yet independent when she needs to be. Saint is sweet and gentle but a dirty talking alpha in the bedroom. They have incredible chemistry and so dang hot together. This book had just a little bit of suspense thrown in with a great story and lots of steamy romance. Perfect addition the Moon Harbor Series!
I really enjoyed this. Landry and Saint are very cute and adorable together. Landry is a very independent hard working woman. Saint is a perfect mix of sweet, gentlemanly and overprotective.
I do feel like their relationship happened quickly. One day they don't want to mix business with pleasure and the next they're sleeping together and claiming each other. I would have liked to read about them developing their relationship a little bit more. BUT I can't deny how much they liked each other so I cant blame them for moving fast. They had insane chemistry.
The book overall was very sweet there was hardly any big drama which I loved.
The only real complain I have is that Landry has been working herself to the bone to achieve her dreams of owning the bar and the minute she stared dating Saint(who bought the bar she wanted) there was no mention of that ever again. I would have liked to know if she's going to try and open her own bar or just give up that dream and help him run that one. I just felt a little confused on what her stand on that was after working all those years for that.
Landry has lived in Moon Harbor her entire life. She has dreams to buy the local bar she works at and has been working non stop to achieve her goal. Saint is a hot MMA fighter that shows up in town and flips Landry's life upside down.
I loved the main characters Landry and Saint! I could relate to Landry from page one; strong minded, willing to work hard for what she wants, doesn't let her toxic past get in her way. Saint is the hot somewhat gentlemanly possessive and protective man that makes women swoon. Add in the insane chemistry between the two and you have a very hot and spicy read! The storyline starts art strong and lays a good foundation. There were a couple areas of the story I felt could have used a little more detail but over all it was a sweet story. My biggest issue comes from the ending, it felt like it just dropped off, kinda felt like a final chapter was missing that would have wrapped up everything a little better.
I absolutely recommend this book to Spicy Romance Readers, Small Town Romance Readers and anyone who is looking for a quick and hot read!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Oh, my word, this book was amazing!! Saint and Landry may be my new favorite book couple! This second chance romance just about melted my tablet!!!
Landry knew the day was jinxed - first, she broke her shoelace, next, she dropped her lucky penny in the sewer. Why is she surprised that her one night fling from Christmas is now the new owner of the restaurant where she works?
Landry has been working 2 jobs to save up enough money to buy the Anchorage, the bar where she works. She is disappointed in the former owner for not selling it to her and mortified to think that Saint, her fling, might believe she slept with him to get ahead. Turns out, he is also the former world champion MMA fighter.
Saint is still drawn to Landry and struggles to keep their relationship professional enough to avoid gossip. He has never had such strong feelings for a woman before.
I received and ARC copy of this book for a review. Overall this was a decent book. It was easy to read. I enjoyed the characters individually and together as a couple. I love the dual POV and that he falls first. As far as the plot, I wish there had been more building of the tension before things were resolved. I wish Landry had told Saint the reason for her resentment (him buying the bar when she was saving up to do just that). She came close multiple times but then it was just dropped and never discussed again. We never really learned who the man in the red cap was and how he knew her dad- just that he seemed familiar. I also wanted to know at least a plan for her parents restaurant that Saint bought. Overall, the characters and storyline were good, the spice was great, I just needed more conflict/tension as well as answers before everything was resolved. The ending was just too abrupt for me.

I was lucky enough to get this e ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Fighting light is the story of Landry and Saint. Landry is a small town woman who’s working hard to achieve her goals. She doesn’t have time for a relationship let alone sleep juggling two jobs. Saint is a former MMA fighter who just needed a break and change… but what happens after a one night stand and a new boss?
The story itself is a cute story. It had a lot of potential and I can totally see why people loved it. However it did fall short for me. I found all the hard moments were resolved so quickly, their relationship formed really quickly… everything kind of happened really quickly without a woo factor.
There was also certain wording that made me cringe a big spoiler alert I love a good smutty scene but I literally live for smut.. but “ropes of cum” just didn’t do it for me..
But the story itself is cute give it a shot you may love it.

This is a story about resilience and courage to stand up to whatever life throws at you. It celebrates love, family and sacrifice.
This is my first time reading this author and this series. I enjoyed the small town vibes deployed throughout the book. How people get in each other’s business and never mind theirs.
I love the bromance and welcome feeling extended to Saint.
I enjoyed the budding romance between Saint and Landry. Even though they met under unusual circumstances, they rise above all obstacles, including self-made ones, to find each other and be together.
I love Saint for his patience, protectiveness and the uncanny way in which he breaks down all of Landry’s defenses. I enjoyed the way Landry was portrayed- strong yet vulnerable, courageous yet afraid, firm yet soft.
Even though this is part of a series, this book can be read independently without the FOMO. I look forward to reading more works from the author.
“Fighting Light” is the fourth book in the Moon Harbor series and it follows Landry & Saint as they attempt to balance the aftermath of their one night stand with their newfound boss/employee relationship ✨
what to expect: ➖one night stand ⮕ boss/employee ⮕ lovers 🍺❤️🔥 ➖everyone’s favorite small town rumor mill 🤠 ➖hand necklaces 🫦🧎🏻♀️ ➖MMA fighter hero 🤝 strong & independent heroine ➖romance mixed with a healthy dose of suspense 🔎
This book is definitely a fast paced read (which is sometimes a hit or miss for me!), but because of Saint & Landry’s a+ chemistry, it works really really well here! The spice is so perfectly spicy, the mystery element adds the perfect amount of drama, and the ending made my heart all kinds of warm and gooey 🥹🫶🏻
Overall, I really enjoyed this trip back to Moon Harbor and I’m v much looking forward to reading the rest of Drew’s story! 🤪
Such a beautiful and passionate love story! A wild start to a perfectly fitting couple. He is such a gentleman with a filthy mouth bound to affect any woman. Holy heavens. The mouth this MMA man has is 🤤 He's patient, gentleman, but when it comes to sex he is a king! An MMA champion who is looking for peace and turns out it can be found in the one place he never would have thought of, Moon Harbor.
Landry is an independent woman who I admire for her strength and for who she is. She depends on no one and when her new boss shows up it changes her completely. She isn't looking for love but it just might have found her in the form of a tattooed hunk of a hot talking man.
This is his biggest fight yet. Won't be an easy win. A one night stand (best sex) that ended up crashing her biggest dream.
I received this eARC in exchange for an honest review.
This romance centers on Landry, a hardworking small town girl, and Saint, a MMA star. The two are brought together by the towns popular local bar, The Anchorage. What starts as a one night fling turns into a complicated budding relationship when Saint purchases the bar.
This was my first book in this series and by this author. Though it’s part of a series it was definitely good as a stand alone. This was a spicy book (🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️)! I would have given it 4 stars but what killed it for me was the way Saint talked to Landry. He was a sweet guy don’t get me wrong but a guy that instantly starts calling a girl “baby” and “peaches” when he barely knows her just makes me want to vomit. If you can get past that part and if you like spicy books then I think you will enjoy this book!
I absolutely loved Fighting Light. I fell in love with Moon Harbor, the people, and their stories. Since Kate McWilliams is a new-to-me author, I was equally horrified for missing out on the first 3 books, and excited to know I can immediately dive back into the quaint small town where gossiping is the unofficial town sport (my favorite laugh-out-loud line). Landry Garner and Saint Adams are super steamy! I loved their chemistry, which crackled at the turn of each page. I immediately took to Kate McWilliams's writing style and felt like I was there and friends with this awesome group. And the mystery! Oh, the mystery and intrigue were a very nice twist with an ending I didn't see coming. I can't wait to read books 1-3 in the series.
Saint and Landry were 🔥🔥🔥together! Loved their chemistry and how they ended up working together as a couple. Saint was a grumpy possessive to Landry’s hard working mindset.
I’ve enjoyed experiencing Kate’s writing evolve over this series, but I feel like there is still some to flesh out. I feel like the ending of this story came to quickly and was resolved without much to it. I really enjoyed the love story between Saint and Landry, but the mystery part of the story didn’t feel very complete to me.
I’m excited to keep reading about the Moon Harbour characters though! Hoping to see Lucy with her own story soon!
Talk about 🔥! I completely binged this story after ”one of those days”, and boy was I glad I had Moon Harbor to run to! Landry and Saint are now one of my top couples! This was a super easy and quick read, and it did have a lot of spice packed into it, but the storyline was great! Saint is such a grumpy (protective) teddy bear and Landry is a strong female lead. I enjoyed learning about their pasts and watching their relationship journey. I loved Saint’s mom! I wish there was more to read-The ending came quickly, and I loved how it all ended up, but I did feel like I was left wanting to know more details on the ending events. Oh, so good! Saint was definitely swoon worthy!
Fighting Light is the fourth book in the Moon Harbor Series, it can be read as a stand-alone.
Landry is hard working striving to achieve her goals on her own. Saint is a MMA fighter ready for something new. When they end up working together. There is so much push and pull between these two.
They had instant chemistry! Enjoyed the random bits of mystery. The mystery was not drawn out but ended rather quickly. Enjoyed the way that the story developed and the other Moon Harbor characters that made appearances.
I loved the sass that Landry had she was independent and held her own. Saint ohh he was possessive and caring 😍. Lots of steam in the spicy scenes!!
Overall a quick and enjoyable read with a growly MMC!!
Omg what a brilliant read. This is my first book from this author, and it definitely won't be my last. Landry has been working hard for years to make her dreams come true but of course something or someone gets in her way. Her new boss Saint turns out to her one night stand from a couple of months ago and the chemistry is still hot between them. I loved how they were together and they are brilliant together but someone isn't happy about it. Can they get their HEA when she is constantly doubting herself. Plenty of mystery and drama but also so much emotion and love. Absolutely loved the ending. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
The Moon Harbor series is always exactly what I’m looking for between my heavier more obsessive reads. They have all the small town elements I love, such interesting and distinct female characters, hawt 🌶️ scenes, a touch of crime… I will say I didn’t connect as well with this book as the others in the series but I didn’t knock a star because it was solely personal preference. Saint is written well but he’s that hulky 6’5” MMA player possessive “touch her and you ☠️” kind of guy that’s just not my thing. He has tender parts of course but possessive men don’t do it for me on either the page or in real life. 🤷🏻♀️ If that *is* your thing you will love Saint. ❤️
This was a super sweet, grumpy x sunshine book. Their chemistry, banter and spice is really what made this book. And that little hint of danger was just the cherry on top. I wish we would've gotten to see more of their family dynamics as well as more of a resolution with Landry's former boss and Saint's former manager. I would've liked to see Saint stepping back and letting Landry handle more as that is the background of her character. I wish Saint had more interactions with Landry's friends and vice versa. I wish it would've been a little bit longer, especially near the end as well, but over all a good read.
Love this series, this is the fourth book in the series, can be read as a standalone.
This was a fantastic feel good romance. It was a quick entertaining read for me. Love both characters- they are complex and flawed and really relatable. The female lead is strong and independent and the male lead is amazing too. The plot flowed well with a good mixture of drama and intrigue and spice. Love the small town feel in this, all the side characters are fab too and some have their own book which are also equally good on their own. If you enjoy romance with a small town feel you’ll love this
Fighting Light is book 4 in the Moon Harbor series, but it can be read as a standalone. All of the books in this series have been great, but I really loved Landry and Saint. Landry is having a rough day. From losing her lucky penny down the drain to her shoe-lace breaking, none of that compare to her finding out her one-night stand is now her boss. Saint is so grumpy, but so protective as well. Landry and Saint were incredible together, and I honestly couldn't get enough of them. Kate Mcwilliams knows how to grab her readers attention. Make sure you check this book out today.
This was such a good read. I loved the story, and it was basically insta-love. But it was still written really well. The only issue I really had was that the ending felt rushed. I felt like we didn't really get closure on what happened to her. Was she healed up completely? Was the guy who did the damage found and was the guy who ordered the hit taken in? like come on. I needed more! haha
There was much smut, but the smut was absolutely good. ugh I love their story
Spice 2/5 Humor 1/5 Emotional 1/5 World Building 4/5 Overall 4/5
Kate, first I love the characters and their names. There’s just something about a Saint 😍😍 and Landry was special and unique just like the character. For the FMC I loved the story of working hard for what you want and overcoming toxic family. Saint is growly, possessive and gave the best hand necklaces. He is also ready to take on the world and make everything right for his girl. This was an easy and quick read.
Damn, this book was too good for its own good, lol. From the beginning we get the STEAM between Landry and this mysterious man who comes to the bar for a drink, then to find out that he's someone who you will be working very closely with too!!! YASSSSSSS!!!!! I can say that Lan and Saint are my fave couple from the whole series, ok lies they are my second fave because book 2 took me OUT. I really enjoyed this book though and the amazing characters. Can't wait to read more from this author.
There is something in the water in Moon Harbor and boy, do I want me a tall glass of Saint! His presence seems to stalk right off the page to envelop you in manly dominance while you read! The way he is so gentle with Landry but known for his savageness in the ring just melted my heart and inflamed all my gooey parts!!
I received an ARC for this book. I thought it was too short. Pacing was too fast, it seemed like she was bothered with Saint for like a night and then she was head over heels and over her resentment. I can’t believe she never told him about her dream of owning the Anchorage.
Overall it just felt thrown together and I had a hard time finishing it.
