Carter Lathan is nineteen, raised in an uber-religious household, and gets the guilts when he even thinks about approaching a guy who might be willing to bend Carter over. So when he finds a book that guarantees to help him summon such a man, it’s a no-brainer.

Okay, so he can’t find some of the weirder ingredients and has to make substitutions, he can’t read Latin to save his life so he makes something up… The spell won’t know, right?

Wrong.

Beez is nearly seven feet tall, with red skin, a kickin’ tail, and horns. Alcy has freaking wings. And they want Carter to choose between them.

But after a lot of talking—and other less cerebral activities—with the men… demon… angel… whatever… Carter decides he doesn’t want to choose—he wants both of them. Alcy and Beez are definitely not down with that. How would it look on their resumes? No, he has to choose, and if they have to show Carter what they can each offer him, that will help him decide once and for all.

Won’t it?

cute idea but it got progressively worse.

i could’ve done it without the lessons on christianity, i live in italy so i already heard about it too much during my life.
the characters were way too simple and their interactions were nonexistent at first and way too in love suddenly. i wondered a few times how did we get there and that’s not fun. also there were a bunch of little time jumps (like 3 weeks later) but we skipped the most important parts of the relationship, but i mean, who cares, it’s not like they’re important to the story, right????
the second last chapter made me roll my eyes so far back in my head that i got an headache.
i don’t want to talk about the actual ending because i’m trying to forget it. i’ll just say one word. disturbing.

Okay here’s the thing. I found this book randomly on GR and then saw it was available on KU and used my book besties’s KU to read it in less than 24 hours because I was HOOKED! It was SUCH a welcomed surprised that i just could not stop. From start to end I was IN IT TO WIN IT. And boyyyyyy did someone win! It. Was. Such. A. Fun. Read! Is it the best book in the world? No. Was it done very well regardless? Yes. Did it give alllllll the vibes? HELL YES! Truly a fabulous romance. AND it finally gave me a sex scene with a tail that i wish we coulda got with Simon and Baz (obvi I know why we didn’t but I hated that 3rd book and wish it was written as a new adult rather than YA). Regardless I loved the sex scene with the demon’s tail. And the threesome. Literally them all. All of it. Top notch romance content, it was 😂! Holy Hell was also my first experience with reading a poly relationship and I gotta say, I loved it. I loved it sm! I haven’t been able to stop thinking about my bbs since I finished it. I love them, I love this book. I would 1000% reread it and DEFINITELY recommend it to anyone interested in an cinnamon roll Angel/sexy sex demon/nerdy human adult romance. It was one of my fav romances of the year. So so fun!

This was a very interesting premise, so I was happy to jump for it, though I hadn't read anything from either author. I liked it a lot, the way the relationship between Beez, Alcy and Carter is delightful. And the way they treat Christianity was cool as well.

I was really intrigued by the blurb. I've read a few stories of the I-accidentally-summoned-a-demon-boyfriend trope, and they're usually both sweet and funny.
And yes, Holy Hell was sweet, but that was about it.
It's the very definition of low-angst and there's obviously a happily ever after. But there are no laughs and the predictability had me bored.

I mean, there are lots of great predictable stories. Those are the ones where you know the general direction the story is headed (and you're perfectly fine with that), but it's the how of it that makes you keep reading.
Then there are the predictable stories that just stretch out like a long straight line in front of you. No surprises, not even a little bend in the road ahead. And that's how Holy Hell felt.
Sure, it's cute and lovey-dovey. But there just wasn't anything there that could keep me interested. Everything was obvious from a mile away.

Or no, that's not right. There was one thing in the story that surprised me. In the very end. But that thing actually just made me mad. It wasn't part of the main storyline and completely unnecessary if you ask me. The book would have been better if Wells and Parker had tried to add some non-obvious twists to Carter's Beez's and Alcy's story instead.

As it were, I can only describe this book as unobtrusive.

This was pretty disappointing. I felt like there was not enough build up and development to the relationship. The story contradicts itself which made the main conflict feel pointless.

The end twist was wild, I'll give it that. I didn't see it coming and it had me shook a little.

I wouldn't normally pick up a book with religious undertones, but then again when KC Wells and Parker Williams pair up to write a book you know nothing about it will be normal... and they've proven it with their latest collaboration, Holy Hell...

This book introduces a young man with wild hopes and dirty dreams to both an angel and a demon who are summoned to make his hopes and dreams come true... but they stand in each other's way... or so they think... you can see that the authors had a blast writing this book - with the inequal parts steamy, sweet and laugh out loud funny, you also get amazing character growth and development that makes the HEA all the more satisfying...

If you're ready to take on a very love is love version of the Supreme being and watch a human, angel and demon fall in love, then you're ready to take on the lovely task of adding Holy Hell to your TBR immediately.

Love is love....

Thank you to GRR for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

First of all, I was drawn to this book immediately because of the cover. I know there are better looking ones out there but nothing gets my attention better than a human, an angel, and a demon all looking hot together. And after reading this ARC, I was not disappointed!

Despite it being a rather short read, it felt long at times. And Alcy and Beez ugh. I hated their shortened names (but that's a me thing). Their personalities though? I LOVED THEM SO MUCH! They were clearly very different, as they should be, but the way they connected with Carter and how they all cared so much for each other. Guh. I loved it.

The story was VERY low-angst and predictable but overall it was a great addition to my October reads and it fit in well with my spooky season theme.

I love K.C. Wells books, but the other author is new to me. I fell in love with these characters and the world that is created.

Carter is so sweet and I just want to hug him. He has a religious upbringing, so he is in the closet still. When he enters a shop, he is given a book. When he does the spell inside, two beings appear. Beez, is a Demon and Alcy, is an angel. They are there to help Carter fulfil his true wish, but he can only choose one to help him.

I loved seeing the true Beez and Alcy, they true selves were drawn out by Carter. They both want the best for Carter and do anything to make him happy. I adored watching their relationship developed, but it was a bit insta-love!

The books view of heaven, hell, God, demons, and angels, was so refreshing. If religion was how the supreme wanted, all based on love, I would be all for religion. The sex between them is hot as hell, especially when all three are involved.

The ending was both good and not so good. I loved the epilogue, with both the Supreme and Carter's Grandpa. The bit I didn't like, was the parents and vicar at the end. Apart from that, it was amazing.

I received a copy of this book from Gay Romance Reviews, and this is my honest review.

Holy Hell sucked me right in and didn’t let go! Carter grew up in a religious home. He has fantasies but feels guilty. He summons both an angel and a demon. They want him to pick between them, why must he choose when he could have both? Sweet, hot and steamy and seriously funny. Loved, loved, loved Carter, Beez and Alcy!! Seriously good plot with great character development. Overall, a fantastic read. Well written with terrific pacing!

This was a surprising read for me, but I was thoroughly entertained by the dynamic between heaven and hell. Carter, who wishes for love but doesn't think that his parents, especially his mother who is trying to get him to settle down and marry, will understand what he truly wants. But when he finds a book that gives him two men, he works on getting exactly what he wants. A charming, sweet, and spicy read. Highly Recommended!

This book reminded me very much of a cheesecake that had fallen and cracked during the last minutes of baking and then was covered hastily in a thick layer of overly sweet frosting to hide the damage. It had the bones of a solid story and solid characters; the finish was severely lacking. The relationship progress made little sense and wasn't organic. The ending felt like a rushed and pretty outlandish do-over. Everything (except the homophobes) was overly cutesy, sugary and cloying. A pity.

I went in to this book thinking it was going to be all kinds of deprived bed stuff, but instead, what we get is a pretty cute rivalry between a host from heaven and a host from hell to win over Carter.
This plays out more as a rom-com with some spiritual undertones, which for once I could get on board with.

It's a sweet book, and while our two summoned guys have lived a long time and seen plenty in their life, Carter is the one that have his head on right and leads them down their destined path.
Too good and pure for this world with a very dirty mind.

Enjoyable mmm romance, even if a little predictable at times. The characters are wellrounded and work as a throuple. The care they have for each other is clear and convincingly written. Though there were several moving moments along the way, I'd have loved a little bit more emotional intensity in the interactions between the three men. I was not a fan of the story arc for the bookseller, and there were a couple of twists at the end of the story that I didn't overly care for.

K.C. Wells really isn’t for me. I think I am definitely giving up on this author. No more K.C. Wells for me. Step by Step was this author’s peak and it has gone downhill from there.

I don’t even know about the human MC. He is so so so 1 dimensional that I truly don’t know anything. All he cares about is sex, sex and more sex. He has centered his entire being on another man fucking him and loving him. That’s it. That’s his entire personality. Boy doesn’t even know what he wants to study but he sure knows that he wants to be fucked… NOW. That an interesting character does not make, unless you’re writing a purely erotica book, which this one is not.
He is also extremely immature and kinda obnoxious. If I were his roommate I would have left him too. All he does is masturbate in the room.

I know nothing about the angel and the demon because they just appeared, spoke 1 line and I immediately closed the book. The demon’s first words included “dude” and ““Who are you, you delicious hunk of flesh?”. Yeah, no. This entire thing is a joke, I am sure.

This is a 2.5 for me.
I was enjoying the book at the beginning, the angel and demon falling in love with charter so fast was a little odd but nothing horrible.
The story got progressively worse for me.
Alcy and Beez develop as characters but Charter doesn't seen to change much. The only thing is he ends up coming out to his parents at the end but he still feels like the same character.
As Beez and Alcy developed their love for eachother Charter really just seemed like the unicorn placed there to fix their relationship. Even their first time with all 3 of them Charter was there to push them to have sex. He was with them at first but when Beez and Alcy were finishing they completely forgot there was a 3rd person with them until they realized something was missing.
The other thing that got me was how odd it was to me that after preaching how the Supreme (aka god) is all about love Alcy was worried what would happen to him because of his love for Beez. Like being afraid of being "unmade" but you are telling Charter its ok for him to love who he loves.
Why would you fear that if your God truly is all about love?

So spoilers

The ending was a dumpster🔥 for me. I knew the bookstore owner was the Supreme, it was sort of obvious early on.
Him being Daniel, the roommate, seemed weird especially considering the ending with the pastor.
Daniel could have easily been left out of the story. Charter could have come across an odd bookstore just as easily and then you wouldn't have this throwaway character. Or if they wanted Daniel to be there have him be a real person that Charter ends up helping overcome his upbringing and showing how Charter grows from it. Daniel sort of being the small boss before he meets the final boss, his parents.

All 3 of them forgetting how they met seemed pointless, and why were Beez and Alcy in a relationship already when Charter was the one that brought them together? Shouldn't it have happened the same way where Charter is the Catalyst to the relationship changing?

And for the most egregious part. The mom and dad fucking the pastor...
so let me get this straight. Mom dad and pastor, lifelong homophobic ppl all of a sudden are ok with being gay because all three of them are fucking?
It makes 0 sense. Them fucking the pastor isn't what is out of the realm of possibility, but them being ok with it is.
They would he the ones Beez was accusing Daniel of being. They would hold on to their beliefs while "living in sin" and shouting louder than everyone else how evil it is to be gay/poly. The first of all would have fought the urge to be together and then they would have accuse the devil of causing them to failing into sin so they could condemn Charter and his relationship.
Charter just being like you all said sorry so the years of religious abuse you inflicted is forgotten.
Yeah he doesn't have to hate his parents but you dont just get over something like that, it takes time.

This was my first book by this duo. They’ve written several others together that I have on my way too long TBR list. I’ve read several other throuple/triad/MMM stories by KC Wells and really enjoyed them. This story was quite a bit different in tone and I also enjoyed it a lot.

There are definitely religious themes throughout the story but I didn’t mind that. In fact, I loved that the overall takeaway was that we just need to love one another and not hate someone because they are different.

Carter is a young man who has big dreams. He’s gay but not out to his uber religious family. He wants to find someone to love and be his life companion. He gets a bit of help from an outside source and conjures up a devil and an angel who are there to help him get his heart’s desire.

Angel Alcy has a vast knowledge of things and helps Carter with his schoolwork. Devil Beez helps him with more personal things. 😊 Together the three of them really bond but the deal is that Carter must pick only one of them to help him long term.

Holy hotness Batman! This book is scorching hot when it’s just Carter and Beez together and then it’s off the charts when Alcy finally joins in on the sexy time.

There were a couple of surprises that I maybe should have seen coming but I didn’t and that was great and made the story even more special because I didn’t anticipate certain things happening.

This was a pretty quick and easy story for me to read and now I need to check out the other books that these two have written together.

An advanced copy of this book was provided to me at my request and my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author.

This book is witty, charming, steamy, thought provoking - for all the right reasons, and also something very different.

Carter longs for a man and the not the future his religious parents have mapped out for him. His super religious room mate thinks along the same lines as them and Carter is spurred into doing something that goes against their prejudiced views. In the bookshop he is surprised to meet a kindly old gentleman, who seems to have a knack at drawing the truth from Carter. He gives him an old book and tells Carter to use it wisely and ask it for what he truly wants. Enter Beez and Alcy, a Demon and an Angel, both summoned at the same time by a spell that went wrong, or did it? What follows is a fun, steamy, mystical and often thought provoking ride for them all, with Carter being the the one to lead them all down their destined path.

This book is definitely a must read if you fancy something a little different and I thoroughly enjoyed it, although I wasn't too sure about the parents bit at the end, even though it made me laugh! I think I would have preferred it if Alcy and Beeze had had a chance to work their magic on them and the pastor, rather than how it transpired, but that's just me. Love is Love, always.

I was kindly gifted an eBook for an honest review.

Witty, paranormal M/M/M steamy romance
This was a well-written, intriguing story beyond the M/M/M facet, but preachy in places which detracted from its over-all appeal. In more than one place I agreed but in others I didn’t so it wasn’t that I disagreed with the lectures, it just wasn’t necessary in my opinion. Otherwise, I loved this story and the ending was surprising but not surprising too. It just seemed to click together when it was revealed. Confirmation of a notion comes at the end of chapter 17 which makes so many things gel.
Carter Lathan is a 19yo college student trying to follow the edicts put down by his parents: get a degree in computer science, meet and marry a girl and have babies. Problem is Carter is gay and is not the least bit interested in girls in that way. Danny his roommate is just like his parents, holier-than-thou religious. Carter gets so irritated with Danny one day; he sets out to prove he’s wrong and goes to the metaphysical shop about which they argued. The owner, Mr. McAffrey invites him in for tea and conversation. To help Carter finds his direction, Mr. McAffrey offers him a special book from which he conjures up a demon, Beez and an angel, Alcy. Great story even without the romance. If you like demons-and-devils-meet-humans romance, try this book. I volunteered to review an ARC of it through Gay Romance Reviews. Clever book cover too.

Holy Hell was so fun!
Carter is repressed, from a very religious background, and all he wants is a sexy man who will pound him into the mattress and cuddle him after. After finding a kind of occult shop that his super religious roommate wants to protest at, Carter uses a gifted book that will bring him what he wants. And he does get what he wants. Kind of. In the form of an angel and demon pair, called hosts, named Alcindor and Beezlebub. Alcy is the more euridite of the pair, angels are all about knowledge and that’s how they help people. Beez is more passionate, and the demon’s way of helping is through sex, and more hedonistic pursuits. But Carter needs to pick between them, and honestly this was so fun to watch. It was so clear that they each had their own unique dynamics, and relationships with each other, and the way they all grew as they figured out how they fit together was awesome. Alcy figuring out what he really wanted was such an interesting part of the story, he had such deep feelings for Beez, even if he didn’t realise it, so seeing him realise what he wanted and who he wanted to be was really cool.
For a short book, it was really strong in that regard, with made it so much more fun to read. And I can honestly say that the ending really surprised me in the absolute best way.

Alcy + Beez + Carter = 😈❤️😇

4 Stars ⭐️

I love me a good triad....this one was so uniquely different and I adored it.

Human Carter summons 2 hosts inadvertently to have his first gay sexual and relationship experiences with. His hosts arrive in the form of a lust demon, Beez and an Angel, Alcy....That's where things get complicated because these two have been enemies for since.... well...forever.....or have they? The relationship development and feelings between these three were extremely endearing, caring for Carter was the key to Beez and Alcy realizing that they have loved each other since they were created and they don't work without Carter, they both develop a love for Carter that is extremely heartfelt and sweet as well. This one was so unique in a sense that they each developed a relationship with each other separate from the third but they all needed each other in order for the relationship to fit and it was written wonderfully and made perfect sense and the ending.....awwwww ❤️

The steam factor was off the charts hot, I mean a lust demon...yep 🔥
The care and love...perfect
I would recommend this one for sure, I can always count on this author to write a great story!

I don’t know how I feel about this. On the one hand, it was unique and unlike anything I’ve read before. But it also focused heavily on religion and that last chapter was weird as heck. It was in third person POV and sometimes it was a little hard to tell whose mind we were in since it featured all 3 even though Carter was the main one. Watching the progression of Beezlebub (Beez) and Alcindor (Alcy) was fun. I liked how they were opposites in personality, but by the end of the book they were both closer to the middle and yet together they still fulfilled everything Carter had been asking for just in new ways and sharing the responsibility instead of dividing and conquering.

I kind of figured the shopkeeper was Supreme, but finding out Beez and Alcy were made for each other was a nice surprise. I liked their new life together once they both chose to continue with Carter. The last chapter felt so out of left field though and I wasn’t here for it. Overall I’d probably give this 3 out of 5 stars. It was good, but it took me a while to get into the story and also it was different than expected. I’d honestly thought it was going to be more erotica/steam; while there were steamy parts, it wasn’t the main focus.

Holy hell, this was fun! I loved the relationships between Carter, Alcy, and Beez, individually and collectively, and how they helped each other address their own issues.

Alcy and Beez were great at showing Carter he could be who he truly was inside, and were instrumental in him dealing with his fraught relationship with his parents. I also enjoyed the fact that Alcy and Beez had this unexplored history and this love-hate dynamic and Carter just kind of inserted himself into it and, well, made it all work!

I adored the kindly old gentleman in the bookstore and all that he represented, especially the plot twist that involved him (no spoilers).

Most of the book was just that—light and fun, even with the religious undertones. And while I loved the resolution of the love triad and how they ended up with their HEA, I did struggle with some aspects of the resolution between Carter and his parents.

Overall, this was a sweet, low-angst, and fun take on the summoned demon boyfriend trope, and I am so glad KC and Parker are writing together again!

I love the premise for this book— the only thing better than the “oops I accidentally summoned a demon and he’s super attractive” trope is, I think, “oops, I accidentally summoned a demon *and* an angel, and they’re both super attractive.” So the idea of this story grabbed me right away, and for the most part, I found the authors’ implementation of that idea enjoyable. Carter, working through the legacy of a very strict and limiting upbringing in which bigotry and religion are intertwined, has a lot to unpack as far as that goes, and the book offers an interesting lens of spirituality overlaying all the sweetness and bits of spice that come from an angel/demon/guy-happily-stuck-in-the-middle type of situation. Beez and Alcy are each intriguing in their own right and I liked their dynamic together. This book is low on angst and unexpected plot events (with one exception, I suppose, near the end), and readers looking for likable characters and interesting premise will find both of those here.

Sadly the last few chapters of this story ruined the majority of what I enjoyed. I was not a fan of the twist to the end, it destroyed all the growth of the characters and the romance for me.

It was basically a reset and removed all the impact of their relationships built, having them all lose their memories. Beez and Alcy becoming human, then all finding each other later to fall in love again. Just made me mad tbh...

Very much personal taste though and I'm sure many will love the twist that I didn't, I will admit I did adore before though. The flirting, longing and teasing - Carter loving them both and bringing together.

Seeing Beez and Alcy grow as they see another side of things through their feelings for Carter, finally being able to open up to each other. How each brought something to the relationship and created a beautiful balance between the three. Oh and the steamy scenes are hot as hell!

Just the ending was disappointing for me and destroyed any of the good feelings I had while reading the rest.

So I picked this book randomly, and to be honest I would DNF if I weren’t trapped in a train with it as the only option to read.
I’m not sure what to make of it, and I’m no literary critic, but I will give you the impressions I had.
When I was young and had a tough time (school problems, my family, or boys) I would imagine perfect scenarios in my head where everything goes my way, where I get everything I desire. So this fantasy kept me temporarily happy and eased my brain.
And this book is exactly like those childish fantasies (except I didn’t dream of threesomes back then 😀). But when it is all in your head, it’s ok if everything is ridiculous, but written in a book it’s kind of awkward. And cringy sometimes, and not deep at all.

Apart from that, their dialogues felt like constant preaching. Telling each other “right” things, voicing totally liberal opinions like ones you would print on social ads. I’m not against everything they said, but it was annoying.

And the ending with the coming out was absurd. It was like a scene from Jay and Silent Bob's movie.

3.5 rounded to 4 stars. Holy Hell is pretty heavy handed in its message, but it’s still a fun little fantasy. Carter was raised by conservative religious parents and feels like a sinner for being gay. He visits a bookstore and is given a book by a kindly old man that allows him to wish for his perfect man. He’s torn between wanting lots of dirty sex and sweetness, so his wish conjures both an angel and a demon. Beez engages the sexual side of him, while Alcy is the cuddly angel who engages his more intellectual side. Alcy and Beez are the ultimate odd couple, and their constant bickering is entertaining. They’ve been fighting attraction to each other for centuries, and Carter is the catalyst that allows them to explore other parts of themselves. The three of them are really funny together, and I love how Carter’s confidence grows. It’s isn’t an especially nuanced story, but it’s still entertaining.
