Isador has a secret.

Afraid of the adulation from his family and community as one of the chosen few, a Tracker, set to free them from the invaders who oppress them; terrified of being found out and reviled by his peers, the Trackers-Becoming, because he can’t hear the song of creation, the hallmark of his kind.

Unable to fit within either world, Isador dreads his annual time of training with the other Trackers-Becoming.

With constant, unprovoked attacks by a hawk and being partnered with the most gifted boy in the group, can Isador’s time at Tracker School get any worse?

About the author

Iseult Murphy started writing at a young age, entertaining her family with magazines that she wrote and illustrated as a child. In her teens, she won several local and national short story competitions, including three time overall winner of the RDS Young Science Writers competition, and had work placed in international writing competitions such as the BBC Wildlife Poetry competition.
Iseult is drawn to horror, fantasy and science fiction, as she feels that the most difficult aspects of life can be best explored through the lens of speculative fiction.
She currently resides on the east coast of Ireland with four dogs, a couple of humans and a cat. When she isn’t writing, she enjoys reading, art and spending time with her animals.
Iseult’s speculative fiction short stories have appeared in over two dozen venues, most recently in Liquid Imagination and Frost Fire Worlds.

Iseult Murphy Tracker school is the first novel I have read by this author. This is a brilliant read! The author has a well written plot and a story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable. Great suspense and action with and wonderful world building. The main character Isador has a secret! And the premise is “Will he be willing to die to keep it., I could not put it down. I gave this honest, voluntary review after being given a free copy of the book with no monetary compensation.

This is a brilliant read.
Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start.
Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable.
Great suspense and found myself second guessing every thought I had continuously.
Can't wait to read what the author brings out next.

A short story of a young tracker becoming, Isador has been chosen by Tracker Heath’s to attend tracker school, but is Isador thinks himself a fraud because he cannot hear the music he needs to become, when he thinks he is being attacked by a hawk its just the music trying to become part of him, with a little help from a fellow tracker, El helps him deal with his fears, a quite interesting read, kept me very intrigued till the end....😁
